So in Kingdom of loathing there's an area called "An Oasis" and the enemies in it are A swarm of scarab Beatles, a rolling stone, a blur, and an oasis monster... and one of the items dropped is a supernova champagne. Goddammit.

Is there any way to view all recent status updates?

You know, I really don't know which forum is going to stay and be active in, especially since I'm not an activity leader, don't have any attachment to the actual posts and such on forums and are exclusively there for the people, and don't want to doublepost.

There's a game I played within the last 5 years that I really liked, but can't find at all because it's so unusual, basically you played a samurai girl on a mission to purify demon things that possesed stuff, but you don't attack them straight up. You had to fidn out what thing they're possessing, a vacuum, a broom, a TV, plates, etc, and your attacks before you did that would instead either reveal part of their name, or show you a sillhoute of their true form, and you had to write what they are on your turn to turn that off and attack them normally.

Pewdiepie's uploaded a youtube rewind 2018 remix by grandayy, FlyingKitty and Dolan Dark and I'm 200% sure it will be the most liked video in youtube history within maybe two days.

Like, can we admit algorithms for managing any website are a total failure and machine learning is just a meme? Like, in LITERALLY every social media website available, youtube, twitter, instagram, facebook, the play/app stores, etc the algorithms are universally disliked and can ruin a ton of normal content while letting bad content slide if someone wants to do it and this is after over a decade of "refinement" and "learning", it's still flawed at best and malicious at worse.
-
Algorithms only exist because the people managing the site are lazy and would rather trust unreliable AI to do things for them, because actually putting in the effort to crack down on genuinely bad content always seems like a personal offense to the people running those sites.
My business teacher INSISTED that AI would replace a lot of job positions, so I have to imagine that the people running those platforms fell for that notion hook, line, and sinker, so they want to do everything in their power to make it come true, without realizing HOW to make it work.

Like, it can only replace things that have absolute standardization, things with almost no possible variation at all like assembly lines, unless you feel like giving the computer years to learn about what to do in case of something which is almost definitely going to not be worth the liability/possible lawsuit/dislikes/etc.
I mean, even a waiter who just takes things to tables might not notice a spill on the ground and could slip where a human might not. Also, as we said any program to detect images is very definitely out of the picture as shown in the sites I listed, let alone all the other jobs like creatives/doctors/engineers/dentists/psychologists/police/etc or anything that works with humans in general.

Though we see many failures, there are leagues greater successes left unnoticed. The sales gained through targeted ads are absolutely monumental.

We don't celebrate heresy here, so there wasn't a big celebration, but my little brother and parents went to a mall and to a club and had some sun and were pretty happy, and I was home alone and played a bunch of touhou, epic battle fantasy, and monster girl quest so im pretty happy too.

Finished Recording it, it's about 15 minutes of me saying random things I like and things I hate, showing my folders and etc, and 20 minutes of playing touhou genso wanderer, my GOTY.

So, since the year's almost over and there's probably no more games that are going to come out unless a miracle happens, I'll say my roundup of top 5 games + lots of honorable mentions I enjoyed the most this year, even if they may have not come out this year.

Forgot an HM: Kamidori Alchemy Meister: Such a wholesome game, it's so well written and cute and fun and has lots of likable characters, and also its gameplay is big and deep and full of stuff to do.

I just played william, rush fuhma shuriken at the hotel before even the first restricted area and grab a bunch of potatoes and bardock along the way, easy kills.

So in Kenshi instead of building a house and filling it with stuff and rebuilding it and so on I just got my character's lockpicking to level 50, invaded a house at night, stealth-knocked out everyone, built some cages and tossed them in while they were asleep, and kept them stowed away in the basement and forgot about them.
