Tesability Black
[spoiler=A Veteran of History][spoiler=Character Primary]Character Name: Abigail Merino~Military Rank before retiring: Colonel (Air Force)Character Age: 42[spoiler=Character Description:] Silver and white pepper the straight black hair that frames a pale skinned woman whom is showing some agelines upon her face due to stress, Abigail looks out into the world with a pair of vivid-green eyes that are also starting to show signs of faint greying. While her fellow female teachers would wear skirts or dresses, she would often wear suits of preferably dark-blue or black attire more fitting of a male's appearance, more due to practicality than anything else. When Veteran's Day or another military holiday falls on a school day, she would wear her BDUs to school, hat and badges included. While she does walk with a cane and has a limp in her right leg due to it breaking at one point, she's more than capable of kicking the ass of a student that has no idea what she's capable of. She may appear frail and thin, but she keeps herself fit by military standards at her age, despite leaving the forces. When not in school or uniform attire, she has a presence towards warmer clothing, even during the summers. Hypersensitive to the cold in the material world, she tends to wear thicker shirts such as turtlenecks shirts and thin or thick trenchcoats, depending on the current temperature. Even when relaxing, she prefers to wear pants, because dealing with skirts is just something to invite disaster with. Her cane appears literally snake-like, a multi-sectioned snake-like being that alternate between dark and light-grey. Near the head, the appearance of small wings appear just past where the hand would hold it and at the base, the tip of the tail is coiled up and pointing up is what looks like a stinger. When someone asks her what her cane is modeled after, she simply answers with one thing, "a Wingbolt."[spoiler=Character Biography:] Colonel Merino has no regrets about serving her country from being in the Air Force, but she does have regrets regarding the decisions of the corrupt people in power and what she and many other soldiers were made to do in the name of the United States. At present time, she has been a history teacher for three years, serving her students and making certain that they have what it takes to succeed in the real world, even including additions to the curriculum that would raise many an eyebrow. But before that, she had gained her degree in teaching in Texas, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in her hometown of Belton, TX, though the disgust of how teachers were treated in the systems by the higher ups had her leaving the Lone Star state for better locations for employment. While the university is one deeply rooted in Christianity, she herself is agnostic. However, she was able to bullshit her way through the religious parts of her degree without too much issue. Before then, however, she had spent over a pair of decades in the military, specifically in the Air Force and finding herself involved in wars that she still felt should have ended a long time ago, like the Syrian Civil War, the war in Afghanistan, and the Israeli–Palestinian conflict...and the latter two wars have been going on since before even she was born in 1988. When involved in all three wars, while she has managed to help many lives, there was also several cases where she would have been forced to kill those whom were caught in the way when needing to complete an operation...and she has no enjoyment of those moments. Before joining the Air Force at the age of 20, she admittedly had nothing going for her. Due to her Asperger's Disorder, she was fired by many employers for not always following rules that admittedly make absolutely no sense whatsoever or not doing anything up to snuff when she was trying her best. This has plagued her through the entirety of her schooling, due to being highly-intelligent, but forgetful as hell in regards to things that did not interest her. It absolutely pissed her teachers off when she would ace a test, but get 0s for forgetting her homework once again. Needless to say, Basic Training forced her to fixed that problem post-haste. Despite being raised in Texas since the age of 5, she was actually born in Southern California, due to her parents meeting while working with their shared employer, Charles E. Whittingham, whom happens to be the same man that bought her first crib in the baby shower. Because of this, she has a high respect for the horse-racing business, since she literally wouldn't be on the earth if it wasn't for the business existing.[spoiler=Character Personality:]"Shamed and defacedScathed and disgracedTainted by hatredAnd can't be erasedCreators betrayed usWe've got it on tapeWe've written your fateAnd it can't be erased" - Can't Be Erased (Bendy and the Ink Machine) by JT Machinima Though she does her best to keep her hatred from affecting those undeserving of it, Abigail has become hardened by the reality of the nation she lives in and once served for. As said earlier, she has no regrets serving the nation itself. What regrets she does have stem from the people she had to serve in the process, vicious war-mongering souls that not only maintained activity on wars that started before even her own birth, but continued to start even more wars, which she thankfully did not have a hand in. She is a prime example of 'You can respect your nation without respecting the ones that run it', due to the fact that she is one of many veterans that had lost their access to services normally given to veterans, such as access to the Veteran's Affairs hospitals throughout the nation and the healthcare linked to it. What funds she had saved had been lost due to having to pay for all the things wrong with her herself after leaving the Air Force. The reason why she lost that critical access? "We need to make cuts to balance the budgets," said by the corrupt politicians in office, whom chose to cut funding for various services to various Veterans, despite all that said Veterans have done for them. Biting the hand that feeds you is the worst thing you can do, given time.Towards her students, she shows a tough love, considering the cruel future that awaits each of them once out of high school. If they haven't woken up to the realities of their time, she finds ways to 'wake them up' without irrevocably breaking them apart to the point that a student would commit suicide or something equally crazy. She has sympathy towards each of them, and if she catches wind of any whom would be considering serving the nation to try to make an impact, she would give them sage advice from her time in the Air Force, especially one line: "Remember, you serve your nation, not the people whom run it. Remember this when you are ordered to do something you do not wish to do." How she is in public and in private are two differing things. While she may not seem like one in public, she has am amazing knowledge of various gaming references, due to growing up a gamer herself. When she hears a reference made around her that a student believes her to not know, she ends up proving them wrong a few days later in ways that do not link her to various pranks. She is an avid player of the Playstation games, each console generation giving her at least 5 games that catches her eyes, due to her varied interests. She leans heavily towards games like Role Playing games and puzzles, the former to escape from reality for an hour or two, the latter to help keep her mind in shape. She would keep fit by actually exercising during some form of waiting or loading period, like a timer slowly approaching 0 and she can't do more or when the next area is loading. While she can't fully stand without a cane due to her broken leg now being slightly shorter than her non-broken one, she does what she can otherwise. If someone would ask what her favorite game, she would answer with the name of an MMO that's still miraculously being played after over a decade, Path of Exile. Character Passion: She has seen enough cases where someone has been abandoned to their fate and wound up dead because they were unable to save themselves. Her one goal, above all else, is to make sure that at least her students have the knowledge needed to not find themselves in such a dire situation, and if they do, how to get out of such a situation.[spoiler=Character Combat]Character Model Melee Weapon/Gun of Choice: Melee-Hardened Rifle(She legitimately owns a M16A2 Rifle from her time in the Air Force as well, which also is melee-hardened. No, she does not take the M16A2 into the Substitution World, but someone would get a nasty surprise if they tried to rob her home.)Character Persona: Perchta~Character's Preferred Ultimate: The Wild Hunt[spoiler=Persona Description:][spoiler=WTF happened to her face...?]Perchta appears as a noble woman of old times, an ornate hooded cloak of a dark-blue color that shimmers a golden color in the right light with her hand holding an ebony staff tipped with a golden point and an orb of azurite secured into place by golden leaves that hold it in its place and partially pierce the gemstone. Underneath the cloak, she wears a flowing dark-blue dress with a woven-in golden skirt underneath and decoration around her waist and neck. Near her neck, it could be seen that she wears chain mail underneath it, though it is mostly hidden by the dress and the clasp of the hood. When the hood is pulled down, dark-brown hair of a wavy appearance could be seen, but the most-striking trait would be her face... ...or lack thereof.Perchta wears two masks, the one visible depending on the most-recent action taken by her. When changing masks, she removes the first one from her face, before it disappears and the other reappears in her hand. The mask affects not her weaknesses and resistances, but her current behavior. One face shows that of a beautiful woman, green eyes that pierce the soul and a flawless complexion. When she heals, buffs, cures or uses directly-damaging magic (such as Bufu), this is the face that shows. While wearing this mask, she is more merciful, showing pity towards the foe, though she knows better than to hold back against those whom would be more than willing to end her existence. The other mask is a more hideous one, that makes you think of the hag of various realities. Wrinkled, dimpled and with red eyes that make a person experience fear (no, she does not actually inflict that on someone innately), her hair turn pure white when this mask is worn and becomes disheveled and scattered. This is the mask that is worn when curses, debuffs and all physical and gun attacks are being used, and she takes on a frightening cackle when someone goes down from one of her attacks. Alaina
[spoiler=Just your average schoolgirl][spoiler=Character Info]Character Name: Avery Moreaux Character Age: 17[spoiler=Appearance]5'6" in height. [spoiler=Character Personality]Avery appears as an average high school girl. Her grades are just good enough to be passing, but not bad enough to be of concern. When it comes to athletics she is always middle of the pack. She always seems to have a neutral expression on her face, tending to have a level tone in her voice. She seems to have about as much interest in what's going on in class as the next person, and when talked to by people, seems to pay with about as much attention as is needed to keep the flow of the conversation going. She is helpful, though generally only to the point of doing what was asked of her. She is social enough, speaking when spoken to, but hardly ever with the reverse being true, and seems easy going and thick skinned enough to be a generally good social partner with anyone. She is never the type to take charge of a group. When asked what she did over the weekend, she'd merely say she was out shopping with friends, but as to who these friends are or where she was shopping, it's a mystery. Above all else, Avery is bored. Avery is a quite skilled at lying, wearing more a mask in her school life than anything else. She believes that the safest way to go through life is to not stand out at all, and to that end, she has crafted herself a perfectly normal visage. However, this also comes at the cost of her burying her real passion; a fervent love for the occult. She has always had a love for things that involve monsters, magic, and all sorts of strange things, and wishes to find these things in real life. She believes reality to be kind of boring, and always wishes for their to be something more to it, whether it something like a zombie apocalypse or alien invasion. While this is the hobby she has chosen to devote herself to, Avery is incredibly secretive about it, and is a closed book to even her parents. While Avery's fake normal visage might make acquaintances easily, she has hardly, if ever, made any real friends. In addition to being secretive about herself, she does not trust others very easily. She has the idea that anyone who knows about her would think her too weird to like, and finds interacting with others to be very stressful and nerve wracking. Avery is somewhat manic. Just as she could get easily excited or exuberant about someone being nice or friendly to her, she has an immediate reaction of skepticism to such things. She is vindictive towards those that she feels wrongs or annoys her, though this is a very passing feeling and she does not often hold grudges. If made fun of, however, she starts to become far more anxious and self doubting, rather than angry. Lastly she's an incredibly obsessive person. If something, or someone, piques her interest she becomes very obsessed with learning more about them. While this can seem as a bit overzealous when directed towards something, if directed at someone it can come off as creepy or stalkerish, even if harmless in nature. [spoiler=Character Biography] Avery was born to a working class family in the city of New York. Growing up, as both her parents had often been busy with work, more often than not, Avery found herself home alone. At first, this was merely occupying her time with whatever was around; that being watching some movies her family had lying around. The first ones that she had watched happened to be in the horror genre, but rather than being terrified by such things, the girl found herself enraptured by them. At first being unable to tell fact from fiction, she found them both incredibly interesting and herself wanting to figure out how such things were possible. As such, from an early age, the girl spent a good deal of her time on the internet, trying to understand the things that she saw and replicate them. Of course, this was met with no success whatsoever, however, the girl was not discouraged and in fact just turned this failure into more fuel for her passion. While her parents were a bit concerned by this somewhat macabre fascination their young daughter had, they merely thought it a phase and let it happen. The more Avery became fixated on the paranormal, the more it started to bleed into her school life. While at first people simply found her a bit strange, the more involved and slightly creepy she got the worst their perceptions of her became. At first people started to shy away from her, though as time passed this turned more into flat out rejection or dissociation with her. Eventually, this turned into straight up harassment of Avery, that ended up following her throughout most of her school life. Growing more stifled by the reality she had to face, the girl started to retreat more and more into her hobby, finding sanctuary within it. While her parents were growing more and more concerned with this, luck would have it that her parents were being relocated for their work, to New Orleans. Moving to a new place, her parents figured this would be a good place to start over for her and so they encouraged her to be more normal. Not wanting to go through the same thing twice, Avery figured she was at fault, and so did extensive changes to herself to try to fit in more. By the time she had began attending school, to both her parents and anyone who had ever met her, Avery Moreaux was an entirely different person. While she found success in trying to play the part of a normal school girl, she also started to find it incredibly boring. And, try as she might, she could never actually let go of her one true hobby. Character Passion: The occult and paranormal. To a more practical degree she puts this passion to use in writing novels, scripts, etc. but is not very talented at it. Student Year: Junior Other: Speaks fluent French, as her family is originally from France (2nd generation.) If having to speak French, though, she will often pretend to be an amateur at it. While she pretends to be a normal girl most of the time, when hitting the town (which more happens on weekends,) she will let herself go a bit more. mitchermitcher
[spoiler=Also Sprach Zarathustra][spoiler=Character Info]Character Name: Zakuro Kokutou, nickname “Zachary Cocteau”Character Age: 17[spoiler=Description]Pictured is the one time Zachary ‘agreed’ (was pressured to) attend a cosplay conference with his sister two years ago. His hair is naturally smooth, and he prefers to keep it long, which according to his sister makes him a prime candidate for cosplaying feminine characters, as uncomfortable as he is with that. 169 centimeters.[spoiler=Biography]A half-Japanese, half-French. His father moved from Japan and settled here with a French woman. His mother died after giving birth to his sister Yuki, and soon afterwards their father committed suicide, leaving the two siblings alone. This left Zakuro with a heavy responsibility and a disdain for his father who gave up so easily. Luckily, the family was wealthy enough that the two siblings were able to live fairly well. That is, until his sister was diagnosed with congenital heart disease roughly three years ago, it was a fatal birth defect. With his sister soon hospitalized, Zakuro found himself working part-time to pay her hospital bills. Now a second-year in high school, Zachary’s built up a reputation as the truant who still gets good grades somehow. He keeps his sister’s existence a secret from his classmates and if any, only those from the same middle school as him would know of her. Yuki Kokutou is Zakuro’s most important person, his precious sister, once the object of his affections, and then some. Unlike him, her name is simple enough to pronounce that she doesn’t go with a Western name. Although younger, she’s also more active and cheerful than her brother and is often the one pulling the other around. Whereas he is dull, she is bright. Whereas he mostly listens to old rock songs, she’s a full-on anime otaku. Whereas he’s a dullard, she’s mischievous and sometimes, wiser than anyone else Zakuro knew. Now that she knows she is to die soon, Yuki hopes for a quick and painless death. Zakuro would do anything for her, except let her die.[spoiler=Personality]He goes by Zachary and only people very close to him are allowed to call him Zakuro. Originally his ‘nickname’ came from a complex about having a hard-to-pronounce Japanese name living in America. Unlike his father and later on his sister, he wasn’t particularly proud of his Japanese blood so he took in a second name. Cocteau was the name of an artist he liked and sounded similar to his last name, and it reflected his mother’s French ethnicity so he took it as well. That complex has faded by the time he entered high school, but he still feels awkward being a foreigner in his own homeland. Zakuro is the opposite of his sister in many ways. He's slow and careful, and is considerate of others. He worries all the time and isn't very manly. With his sister usually taking the initiative, he's usually the one being dragged around, so when she's no longer able to do so he lacks a certain assertiveness most men require. However, when it comes to protecting Yuki, Zakuro is very aggressive, desperate, and quick to anger. Although he doesn't resort to violence due to his weaker physique, he isn't above injuring someone else if he needs to. Once in middle school, before Yuki was hospitalized, Zakuro confessed to her and was rejected. As a growing boy with no female contact other than his own sister, his feelings naturally gravitated towards her. His sister was wise enough to not let it progress further, although her own feelings on the matter are unclear as well. Zakuro hasn't quite grown out of it although he's aware it's an impossible love. Because of this, he would be quite attracted to a woman who resembles his sister, not that he knows anyone who fits the criteria. Because of his childhood, Zakuro has a strong sense of responsibility and independence. He has a strong heart that doesn't give up even in the face of impossiblity, such as curing his sister. He’s also highly motivated and is very successful academically, leaving him little free time for anything else. Because he has to land a job with a good income to pay Yuki’s hospital bills, he doesn’t slack off in this regard. He feels he has to be the perfect older brother to Yuki, to make up for the childhood the two were deprived of. Because of this, he’s very sensitive about the faults he has. He makes up for it with effort, but he’s not particularly bright. The common layperson, or the mobs in the audience of a magnificent play, that is the sort of person he is. He goes along with what people say and doesn’t have a flashy, noticeable personality. Without his sister he would be a dull, boring man, without much passion for himself. Perhaps that is why he is able to endure life's hardships thus far. Because he has nothing, he is able to devote everything to Yuki. It does beg the question however, whether self-sacrifice has any meaning if there is nothing to lose in the first place. Character Passion: Providing for Yuki, becoming self-sufficient, collecting discount coupons, becoming taller.Student Year: Junior. [spoiler=Character Combat]Character Model Melee Weapon of Choice: PolearmsCharacter Model Gun of Choice: Tanegashima flintlock rifle, manifests from a cosplay prop gun model his sister gave him.[spoiler=Character Persona]Persona: Zarathustra[spoiler=Persona Description] The prophet of Zoroastrianism and at the same time, the central character of Friedrich Nietzche’s most famous work Also Sprach Zarathustra. As the prophet he was perhaps one of the first to religiously preach the morality of right and wrong, and as Nietzche’s mouthpiece he surpasses the need for it. Thus Zarathustra spake of the ubermensch, and here he has become one. The ubermensch’s form is strong, beyond peak performance, but it is human in shape. In addition to the picture above, it wields a steel rod with a bull’s head adorned on, and wears a translucent white cloak, the symbol of the prophet’s priesthood. The Avesta, the text of Zoroaster, is however nowhere to be seen. Its form too, although humane, is partially black and demonic. The ubermensch is perfect, so any imperfections it’s manifestations may have must be from its wielder. Maeriberii Haan
Alright, finally finished my app. Since white-texting is so hard now that the edgy theme exists, just note that anything underneath a line inside of a spoiler tag would be spoilers regarding her actual self. Oh yeah, persona identity is concealed for several reasons but i hope it's obvious enough. [spoiler=Pygmalion] “Somewhere in Louisiana, in a place whose name I do not care to remember...” [spoiler=Character Information] “The purest, most wonderful form of romance transcends mere human cognition – the boundary of fiction and reality that separates us only made this love more romantic and alluring.” Character Name: Jeanne Menard-Playfair (Jane Doe)Character Age: 18 years oldStudent Year: Senior[spoiler=Character Description] Jeanne is a teenage Caucasian girl of moderate height at 166 centimeters. Her hair used to be long before she entered highschool, but she had it cut to its current length after. Her favorite outfit color is purple and its shades and her many different sets of clothings are usually colored as such, though she prefer violet shades the most. [spoiler=Character Biography]For the most part, Jeanne's background is a mystery outside of what she's willing to tell to others. A girl living on her own on a house in the countryside, she was visibly very well-off even if she's not flaunting her wealth to others. She claimed that her father was a French business magnate and her mother was the daughter of a British Lord. Her language proficiency and noticeable British manner of speaking did support it, yet it didn’t explain why she was living alone in Louisiana of all places rather than finishing her education in Europe instead. As she was a recluse that warmed herself using books rather than people, outside of her small friend circle she was mostly known as a prolific author and illustrator, primarily dabbling in urban fantasy and mystery. Among the people that interacted with her daily, that was an open secret that everyone knew about despite her usage of a pen name to avoid unwanted attention to her age. In fact, she only publicly acknowledged that fact when she became a senior. Most of her works centered on a single character: a highschool girl named Violet Fairchild, whose bright and sunny disposition masked a sharp and critical mind, and her adventures in uncovering the paranormal secrets surrounding the town she lived in. Cults, an hour that shouldn't exist, an underground cave system appearing out of nowhere - such were some of what Violet investigated, and Jeanne told the story in an episodic manner within each novella as “Jane Doe”, a foreign exchange student that became Violet's friend and secret keeper. Each books featured her own illustration – done with so much heart and peppered with so much loving detail following what Jeanne said as the vivid imageries haunting her mind of the abnormal suburb. The book series was well-liked on her target demographics, although recently her readerbase started to complain that she's taking her sweet time in building up the metaplot of the series – a complain that fell on deaf ears for Jeanne. In reality, Jeanne was a British migrant in the United States that ended up inheriting the estate of her family after a plane accident claimed their lives. She was barely self-sufficient in her living, and due to her youth she handled the riches she inherited terribly. Around these aimless years, she started to build the mental image she had for Violet. Violet was originally based on a childhood friend that she used to have years ago, whose details she could barely even remember now. Her mind filled in whenever it was possible, constructing the concept of what an ideal friend for her would be. Characteristics that a friend would have, molded into the figure now resting at the corner of her memories. Thus, that was the moment she fell in love with an idea. Before her was a sculpture she painstakingly carved out of words and black lines on a paper. Her Galatea, her idealization of a concept, her guiding light. Violet was no longer the friend that Jane could barely remember. What Jeanne had fallen in love with was the idea she had about her best friend. This idea breathe life into her writing and drawing. Once, her writing was dull and rigid, and her drawings were nothing more than shapeless scribbles, yet the idea of Violet pushed her to better those skills. For without them, Violet would remain as a formless idea, a mere dream she would forget. Jeanne's illustrations gave Violet form, and her writings gave her voice. A madwoman who had let her obsession shape her life, or a tragic figure that grasped for the one thing she chose to believe in? The line separating the two was thin and blurred, unlike one that separated the maddening moon and its reflection.[spoiler=Character Personality]Jeanne is someone that is easy to admire and respect for her achievements as a young novelist and her demeanor, but at the same time, she is someone that is hard to personally like. It's not that her personality is awful or that she's someone that is easy to hate, but Jeanne has a certain emotional distance between herself and others that will become clear whenever one interacts with her. Superficially, she does act like a loner whether in school or in her neighborhood, yet at the same time also acts friendly and approacbable to anyone that visits her. Despite her openly saying that she cares more about book than people, she is never dismissive to others during her interactions with them and always speaks to anyone with respect. She is well known as polite and courteous, as well as someone generally helpful without being a doormat. Coupled with her insightful mind, this made her presence appreciated by both her peers and her neighborhood. Yet at the same time, she feels like an element that is quite removed from her environment, so that if she disappears, nobody would really give a fuss since they lacked any personal connection to her. Jeanne occasionally showcases some eccentricities in her daily life, although they are quite tame and aren't things that would bother others. More than once or twice, people have caught her talking to herself when she's busy scribbling on her notes in public. Usually people ends up assuming that it is just her way of ironing out dialogues to feel more natural however. She also has a certain fascination to dangerous or terrifying situations and often acts surprisingly reckless around them. She is averse to the use of sarcasm or passive-aggressiveness on her side, and would rather be blunt than utilizing them in any way. In fact, she's someone that tend to openly say her opinion regarding something. Whether it's positive or negative, she'll say it if she thinks she's in the right. This kind of attitude may not be that much of an issue when interacting with her as a person, but online or during any indirect interactions with her readerbase, this often causes issues to the point that Jeanne has to assign a personal agent to help her answer mails. Jeanne, figuratively speaking, is someone that lives in her own world that she perceives with her own worldview, and she acts in it according to her own visions. Her apparent personality and attitude is simply a fabrication, but at the same time she genuinely tries to live as that fabrication. Someone that willingly deludes herself for the sake of an ideal that is also merely another delusion. She deliberately models her own life in accordance to a certain vision she has following her mad love to the character she created; a vision of someone that could complement the character of Violet Fairchild well. Someone no less bright teenage wannabe-detective, but with an attitude and mindset that contrasted enough with Violet that they would end up working well as a duo. The character of a refined half-French foreigner and the recorder of Violet's exploits. The Jeanne that is seen by others is really just the character “Jane Doe” Indeed, she is mad, yet at the same time, her madness is one that she embraces willingly rather than an illness of the mind. She is well aware that she is living a lie, and that Violet is merely her own creation. She is aware that she's living an unsustainable life that her authorship can't support, and that sooner or later her dream would end. Yet she still soldiers on with her self-deception, and continues to pine for Violet as if she is the fair lady that Jeanne as a knight has chosen to devote her life to. Violet's loving whispers has become her reality. She used to be a dour child, always feeling restrained by her own environment without feeling like she's moving anywhere on her life. But, after the vision of her beloved Violet, Jeanne has reshaped her own life following the vivid imageries in her mind. Tirelessly practices her own writing and drawing skill with a style that Violet would love. Shifts her negative worldview into someone that is just grateful to be alive, to be able to savour the fruits of this world and see the beauty in its imperfection, just as Violet would like her to be. Reinvents herself into a better person that Violet would love to banter with. Everything is fair for the love of her life, and even Jeanne herself has forgotten how she was before Violet exists. Jeanne has made the world of her dreams to be her reality since for her, dreams are merely things that will be made into reality with her own two hands.[spoiler=Character Passion]Drawing, Reading, Adventures, Writing, Love Simply writing Violet in this section should suffice, but as Jeanne would love to, it will get elaborated here. Her passion and primary motivational drive is to live in this world of her dreams to the fullest, following her visions for herself in the meantime. She will continue drawing all the images she stored inside of her mind, she will strive to be a better and better writer, and to find more exciting things that she could use in her writing. She'll read more and more books to broaden her and Violet's horizons, and she'll go into adventures with Violet whenever the opportunity presents itself. She treasures this feeling of love she has the most. It is beyond mere physical attraction, beyond the desire to physically consummate with her lover. She said that this feeling is the purest of any kind of romantic feeling, a love that is simply for love's sake, and the bond that ties the two together is like the unbreakable bonds of two lonely souls accompanying each other in a desolate world.[spoiler=Character Combat]Character Model Melee Weapon of Choice: Fencing Sword (appears as her keychain in real world)Character Model Gun of Choice: L85A2 Assault RifleCharacter Persona: Knight of the LionsPersona Description: A knight-like figure gallantly riding its mount through the battlefield. Wearing a helmet themed after the ferocity of lions and a set of plate armor that radiates its own light, this Persona truly is a Knight in Shining Armor. However, there is actually no face being concealed inside of the helmet. There is no figure inside of the armor in the first place. The armored knight is completely hollow, with each parts only being connected to each other by rickety wires; like a ventriloquist's doll made of metal. Its horse is also in a similarly pitiful state – once the luster fades, the knight's mount is nothing more than an approximation of a thin and sickly horse made of books of romance and scraps of discarded poems, with faded quills serving as its mane. Nevertheless, the Persona is not one that seemed to care about its sorry condition. Its jousting lance is a pen mightier than any bladed implements, and its shield a sorrowful tragedy mask. Dad
[spoiler=Paul Lester Brown] Character Name: Paul Lester BrownCharacter Age: 17 Character Description: Paul is an African American male standing at six feet and one inch. He has short curly black hair and usually keeps it neatly cut with perfect edges. He wears small, square spectacles which highlight his handsome face. His eyes are a decadent brown, warming to the soul of those he greets. He is a strapping young man, with a moderately toned body for his age. He enjoys dressing up as though he were about to attend a big business meeting. You will most often see him in some variant of collared oxford shirt, suspenders, and either jeans or slacks with the appropriate tennis shoes or dress shoes. He also has just a small bit of facial hair, sporting a maturing mustache and goatee which gives him suave and charisma. [spoiler=Character Biography] Paul was unnaturally attracted to danger. Somehow, at fate's will, he escaped unscathed each and every time. He was by no means a bad kid. In fact, Paul was a straight-A student with a part-time job, and he even volunteered at a men's homeless shelter every Sunday of the week. He was a good, God-fearing young man who had every intention of doing right by his family. But fate didn't plan for things to go that way. Over the course of his junior year, Paul has been experiencing tremendous difficulty sleeping. His grades are still solid, and he maintains a 3.7 grade-point average. His love life is non-existent, so he doesn't have a lady interest with which he is concerned. His family is doing well, and most everyone is healthy that he knows of. No, it's not Paul's daily life that has him up at night. It's a new associate with whom he met by accident that is troubling him. On the eve of August 22, 2029, Paul had begun to experience some rather strange, vivid dreams. The first dream was the strangest of them. He was walking through a pitch-black tunnel, where only occasionally, a translucent blue butterfly would float past him. This went on for what felt like hours, but he never reached the end of the tunnel. Rather, he would always see the butterfly passing him by. He tried to count the intervals in which the butterfly passed, but they were always different. Sometimes they were seconds apart. Sometimes they were minutes apart. Paul could not figure out this dream, no matter how hard he tried. Later that fall, near October, Paul's dreams got out of control again. This time, he was in the dark tunnel once more, but fire awaited him at its end. Paul, being a Christian man, was certain this was a sign he was going to hell. Yet and still, he was compelled to walk forward toward the flames. Paul never reached the end of the tunnel, but this dream occurred thrice that throughout October. In January of 2030, Paul's dreams once more surprised him. The tunnel was gone, and the flames had changed color. Once a bright, frightening orange, the flames were now a cool, soft blue, licking the air. Paul got close to the flame, and as he did so, it seemed to shrink. However, no matter how fast he ran or how if he stretched out his hand, Paul could never quite touch the blue flames. What was even more concerning now was that Paul desperately wanted to be with the flame. He absolutely had to touch it. Then, for some time, Paul's dream never came again. Throughout spring, he slept peacefully, which drove him absolutely mad. He wracked his brain to try and figure out what it was that was causing these strange dreams, but Paul could not recreate any scenario in which the dream occurred at his will. Eventually, he stopped trying. And that summer, in late June, the dreams came to him again. This dream was perhaps the most powerful of all. Paul had finally reached the blue flame, and he could swear he was looking into an infinite mirror of his current dream. He was watching himself staring at the flames, over, and over, and over, and over again. But in one instance, Paul lost his footing and fell head first into the fire. His first reaction was to roll around rapidly to douse the fire. It destroyed his clothes, but the fire never brought harm to Paul's flesh. It was cool to the touch, and yet, it was warm too. The fire spread over Paul's body, covering every inch of him from head to toe. And as the flames reached his chest, Paul placed his hand over his heart. The flame reacted by withdrawing from his touch and recoiling to his hand. Paul feared he had done something wrong, but the flame remained curled in a small wisp in his palm. Paul raised the flame up to his face, and once more stared into it. This time, he saw nothing but fire. But the coolness and the warmth of this flame called out to Paul. Something was meant to be done with it. This flame was important. But he didn't know why. Instead, Paul brought the flame close to his heart again, and it leaped onto his chest. To Paul's surprise, a hole was burned through his flesh, though he felt no pain. The flame seeped into Paul's chest and radiated within his body. He glowed with the same cool blue of the fire, and the hole in his chest closed. Then, Paul felt sick. And as he wretched up the contents of his stomach, he could feel the flame no longer. Instead, a glass orb which contained the flame was regurgitated from his mouth. It was no bigger than a baseball, but the flame was alive inside of this glass ball. And as Paul held the glass ball, he could feel the flame calling out to him once more. He wanted it, badly. He needed this fire! Paul looked around for any sign of life, but he was alone in the dark with just the flame in the glass ball. Out of sheer desperation, Paul crushed the glass ball in his hands, and he could feel a great surge throughout his body. Then, he awoke. Paul awoke with a start, a deep gasp for air as if he were choking. He blinked several times before putting his hands on his face. Now, Paul couldn't shake the feeling that he was covered in salt. Paul grasped for his glasses and set them carefully on his face. Then, he went to throw back his blanket from his bed, but it had burned away into soot and ash. As Paul stood, more ash fell from his body, and Paul realized he was stark naked. He stared down at the black ash and began to recall his dream. His clothes had been burned and so had his blanket. Paul breathed heavily and desperately clutched at his chest, panic flooding his every pore. And then Paul felt something new. A scar he had never had before. A burn mark in the shape of a flame was etched on his chest that he had never seen before. He wanted to yell out in shock but found himself not only at a loss for words but choking. His every breath was more and more desperate until finally, a heavy crystal ball fell from his mouth. With a breath, Paul caught the crystal ball with both of his hands. He held onto it with his hands cupped, not sure if he wanted to look down. Inevitably, he did and spread his hands open. As he stared down into the crystal ball, a tiny blue flame licked its crystal inside and whispered his name. Character Personality: Paul is a well-mannered young man who believes wholeheartedly that if he sticks to his beliefs, God will set his future to be bright and warm. Paul is naturally the same way. He is great with people, and doesn't shy away from strangers and meeting new people. He's very charismatic, a charm he developed from his father. He is also very gentle, and he greatly values life. But Paul is also no pushover. He has the guts to look down bullies big or small, and he can face many dangers, even in New Orleans. He's highly intelligent and takes great pride in his studies. But don't let this fool you. Paul also knows how to have a good time. He's a determined young man who, if he sets his sight on something, will work his damndest to achieve whatever that may be. But therein lies Paul's flaws. He is stubborn and doesn't quit easily. He tunnels on things, and often focuses a bit too much. Paul is also a bit naive. He values others happiness over his own, putting himself in some rather disappointing and even dangerous situations. He is prideful and this can make or break his decisions sometimes, making him indecisive and sometimes impulsive. These are dangerous traits to have, especially in the city of New Orleans. Character Passion: Paul is very dedicated to cooking. He loves it above any other hobby he has ever had. Whether he's happy or sad, frustrated or mad, Paul will take his emotions to the kitchen, where he will concoct the appropriate meal for the appropriate time. Student Year: Junior. King K. Azo
Well, after the rush of Christmas morning, I had time to put something together of sorts. Everyone, meet Thomasin. [spoiler=Thomasin May Farros][spoiler=Character Primary]Character Name: Thomasin May Farros Character Age: Seventeen (17). A Junior in High School. Character Description: Thomasin has shoulder-length blonde hair that she keeps in a ponytail most of the time. She often wears contacts, but sometimes she can be seen with wide-rimmed glasses which go over her light hazel eyes. Her face is full of imperfections, the kind that could easily be fixed with a little makeup, but the dark shadows constantly under her eyes imply that she never really finds the time. Her dress is, in a word, conservative. Even on New Orleans’ hotter, more humid days, Thomasin still wears longer sleeves and a skirt that reaches at least down past her knees. Her most common color is grey, though she does carry around a light purple purse, and her school bag is a dark crimson. Thomasin stands at five feet, five inches, and can’t really be described as “skinny” or “fat” (despite the best attempts from her more malicious fellow students). She carries herself well; despite the impediments her clothing might give her, she could almost be described as gliding from place to place. Her preferred type of headphones are the really cheap in-ear kind that work for maybe six months before needing to be thrown out, but they’re so cheap anyways that she really doesn’t mind. Character Biography: Thomasin was born to a historian father and musician mother. While her father named her, her mother ended up controlling a large portion of Thomasin’s upbringing, which, above all else, involved pushing her towards music. She tried every instrument, from the accordion to the theremin to the xylophone and everything in between. And yet, every time, Thomasin would find a way to not enjoy it. Often, it had to do with her below-average pinky fingers, which couldn’t reach the proper keys, which lead to frustration which lead Thomasin to decide that she didn’t like playing music very much. For months, Thomasin was aimless. She was separated from the world by a pair of headphones and a distant stare. That was when her father introduced her to Tarot, and her life changed for the better. She had always relied on an extracurricular to focus her energies, and after so many failed instruments, she had been left without. Now that she had one, it was almost like an obsession. In one instance, she checked out a fortune-telling book from the library one Friday afternoon, locked herself in her room, and didn’t leave it until Sunday evening, whereupon she nearly passed out from hunger. She does alright these days. Her grades are slightly above average in most cases, except in whatever classes she has scheduled just after lunch, where she “mysteriously” vanishes and doesn’t return until after the bell for the third afternoon class is rung. Sometimes, she’s even late for that one as well. When not at school (or rather, when not otherwise occupied), Thomasin can be found at some park or another, offering quick readings to those who would take her seriously, and sometimes to those who do not. Character Personality: Don’t call Thomasin superstitious. That’s the first thing one needs to learn about her. She doesn’t believe in spirits or the supernatural or anything like that. What she does believe in, though, is fate. As implied by the above biography, Thomasin is obsessed with the nature of fate, especially as it applies to her tarot deck and can rattle off a diatribe on the subject at a moment’s notice, and sometimes not even that. This obsession extends as well to her wit and vocal cadence. “Oh, how fortunate,” is possibly her most common phrase, with only the tone betraying whether or not the statement is genuine. Thomasin is an impulsive decision maker and she knows it. That’s why, when she knows she has the time, she pulls out her tarot deck and attempts a reading. Invariably, her subjectivity will get in the way of her reading, and she’ll end up doing whatever her first impulse had decided on anyways, but at least then she takes heart in the fact that she’s learning a bit about her inner self along the way. Her favorite type of music is live recordings of symphony orchestras. Her favorite song is Jupiter, by Gustav Holtz. Character Passion: Eventually, Thomasin would like to attempt, and subsequently properly interpret, a complete Tree of Life spread, a complicated Tarot reading involving all seventy-eight cards in the deck, but she is hindered by her fears that, despite all of the effort she has put into her tarot deck and the reading thereof, she’s still only an amateur, which means she’d barely be worthy to attempt the Tree of Life's ten-card variant. Still, she likes to keep trying. Failing that, she’d like to try her hand at maybe writing a book or two. Or maybe get into music composition. She knows it has to be something creative, but she’s at a point in her life that she’s just not sure yet. Her tarot deck hasn’t been helping, either. [spoiler=Character Combat]Character Melee Weapon of Choice: A pair of hooked daggers (these appear as dull letter openers in the real world) Character Model Gun of Choice: Winchester Model 1873 (specifically the variant reintroduced in 2013) Character Persona: Anansi Persona Description: Traditionally, Anansi appears in one of three forms: A human with spider-like qualities, a spider with human-like qualities, or a full-blown spider. As a Persona, Anansi appears in this third form. It's not as though the proportions are wrong. It's not like his legs stretch out from his body, creating legs of unfathomable length with only a possible glimpse of what or where the sternum controlling them could be. It's not like that, instead of an abdomen, Anansi has an all-seeing eye, dedicated to the observation and collection of stories he missed following his deal with the Sky-God, seemingly swiveling at random like disembodied eyes are wont to do. And it's not as though, without spinnerets, Anansi is forced to weave his silk thread out of thin air like a storyteller tells a story. Actually, most of that is true. Except the legs bit. Anansi has normally proportioned legs for a giant spider. [spoiler=An Example][spoiler=Okay, seriously, this is an image of a spider with an eyeball for an abdomen. I don't want to say I didn't warn you.](source: reality-must-die.deviantart.com) Persona Abilities:Garu -- Light Wind damage to one target.Patru -- Cures Dizzy/Hunger/Forget/Sleep for one ally.Pulinpa -- High chance to Confuse one foe. Persona Weaknesses:Electric Persona Stats: Strength - 7Magic - 10Endurance - 7Agility - 8Luck - 13 [spoiler=Review]Thomasin May Farros is interesting. Her obsession with tarots almost makes me feel like she's a member of the Velvet Room. I find it odd that she believes in fate but not the supernatural... that kinda goes hand in hand... but I'm sure there are really people like that. I feel like the personality is a bit... lacking? She likes tarot cards and she's impulsive. That's a decent start, but... how does she act around people? I think I'm to assume she's not a people person, due to her hobbies. She's apparently made fun of, or people try that... but I dunno. It just feels like it needs a little more, you know? What does her parents think of her hobby? Do they even know? I need to know more [spoiler=Whale of a Good Time] [spoiler=Character Primary]Character Name: Reno HowardCharacter Age: 17[spoiler=Character Description]Reno stands at six foot three inches and weighs 270 pounds. He has very tanned skin, and a muscular yet slim body. On his nose is a large noticeable scar, and on his chest, from his left hip to his right shoulder, is a massive scar. [spoiler=Character Biography]Reno grew up a fairly normal life, with a loving mom and a hard working father. His father pushed young Reno, enrolling him into martial arts and sports, things he believed would help Reno grow up to become a man. His mother encouraged Reno to follow his own passions, however. Reno did enjoy the martial arts, much more than sports, so he continued to do practice them while also learning how to sing. His life changed however, when he turned 13. The family was in a car crash, which the mother did not live through. His father went into depression, and starting drinking. He began to abuse Reno, both physically and emotionally, and tried to make him stop singing, as it was not 'manly' enough. Reno continued to do it behind his father's back, however. He's lived this way for four years now, and is waiting to turn 18 so he can move out without any complications. [spoiler=Character Personality]Reno, despite the intimidating aura he gives off, is a very quiet sort of person. He keeps to himself, mostly because he knows people are afraid of him. He is, however, not afraid to step in and use his superior size and martial arts to fight off people that piss him off. His calm demeanor shows no fear... unless his home and especially his father is mentioned. Reno loves to sing, and is pretty good at it, however, he is ashamed of it at the same time, and will not do it if he believes people are around and listening. He's very shy about it, and will do his best to hide it. He does his best to be seen doing things that are considered 'manly', and hides his true passions. Character Passion: To get out of the town, away from his father, and to grow up to be a good man, unlike his father. Student Year: Junior Misc Info: Has a lot of rumors floating around about him, things like beating up entire gangs with his own hands, or stealing money from underclassmen and beating them up. Basically, there's a lot of contradicting rumors and no one knows exactly what's true and what's not. [spoiler=Character Combat] Character Model Melee Weapon of Choice: Brass Knuckles Character Model Gun of Choice: Bazooka Character Persona: Bahamut [spoiler=Persona Description]Bahamut is a large whale, easily twice the size of a large school bus. [spoiler=Sharp-Tongued Support]"Sorry, I must have forgotten you exist. Let me direct you to somebody who actually cares... such as anyone but me."[spoiler=Primary Info]Name: Haruka Hirasawa Age: 18 Student Year: Senior Passion: Love, plain and simple. Haruka wants nothing more than to be sincerely and earnestly loved, by others or herself. [spoiler=Appearance]Height: 5'3"Weight: 116 pounds Haruka is a girl with long black hair, baggy hazel eyes, and a sour expression. She hasn't grown much at all over her teenage years, and can even still fit in her uniform from her junior high school in Japan. Haruka tends to wear it to school, as despite there not being uniforms in American schools, it simply feels right to her to wear it anyway. Haruka also is known to wear pretty strong glasses, as she can barely see without them. [spoiler=Biography]One may not think it to see Haruka today, but she wasn't always a living ball of seething rage. Born in a well-off family in her native Tokyo, Japan, Haruka was blessed with a wonderful set of parents. Her father, despite being overly critical of others and seeming to lack emotion entirely, was a hard worker whose dedication to his job allowed him to take care of his wife and daughter. Haruka doesn't have many memories of her father. Her mother, on the other hand, is recognized by Haruka as having been the kindest person she ever met, and was present for many of Haruka's earliest memories. By Haruka's recollection, she was "always smiling, and stopped at nothing to make everyone around her happy; she was what made us a family, and we didn't deserve her". The end of Haruka's memories of her mother coincide with the general collapse of the Hirasawa family. When Haruka was twelve, Mrs. Hirasawa died in a car wreck. Whether it was an accident or not, Haruka's still not sure, though she overheard it wasn't on a small number of occasions. After her mother's passing, Haruka's father took a brief leave from work to help make arrangements around the house. Somebody had to take care of Haruka, and he couldn't do it with his heavy work schedule. Haruka's grandmother, a bitter old woman, moved in to watch Haruka. Haruka and her grandmother never got along that well, and having to live together while grieving respectively for their mother or daughter didn't make it any warmer of an environment. "The rotten hag" as Haruka refers to her claimed Haruka had something to do with Mrs. Hirasawa's death, Haruka in return claimed it was her grandmother's fault, and a vicious argument broke out between the two. Mr. Hirasawa concluded that perhaps some time away from the rest of the family would be good for Haruka. Not long after Haruka turned thirteen, Mr. Hirasawa sent her to live with an uncle of hers; her father's older brother, who had found business success running a sushi bar in New Orleans. Uncle Ayumu was by all accounts, an optimistic, mellow, and supportive person. He was a bit too goofy for Haruka's liking though, and so she tried to avoid interacting with him. As the years went on, Haruka thought more and more about the crash that had claimed Mrs. Hirasawa, and grew bitter. Combined with inheriting some of the worse traits from her father's personality - namely his need to succeed and overly-critical harshness - Haruka grew to be ambitious, yet refusing to let go of the past, she also became a bit unstable. Five years have passed since Haruka moved in with Uncle Ayumu. She's pretty sure by now that her father has forgotten about her, or just doesn't care enough to bring her back to Japan. Haruka's harsh personality has made it difficult to make friends, and her lack of trust for others hasn't helped any. She's fine with "a single-player life" however, and as she approached and entered high school, Haruka turned her attention toward a goal. She wanted to chase her passion in literature and become a doujin artist. She uploads new work online every so often, but does so almost exclusively on Japanese sites and in her native Japanese. She's got a small collection of people who enjoy her work, but that's not good enough for her. Haruka wants to change the world in her own way, and refuses to die until the deed is done. [spoiler=Personality]If Haruka's ever been called a ray of sunshine, it's probably been with copious amounts of sarcasm. She knows she's not the best person by any means, but despite it she's confident that she's better than you. And she may well be right; Haruka is a fast learner and a perfectionist, a combination of traits that make her not only driven to be great at anything she tries, but capable of reaching a level she considers almost acceptable before long. Which is great for her, since nobody's a worse critic on Haruka than Haruka herself. She won't hesitate to dig deep into anyone else either, but Haruka's criticism is especially harsh when directed at herself. What she'd call a passable job from somebody else would be complete garbage if she did it instead. Coupled with being somebody who insists on doing things herself, it's not uncommon for Haruka to be a walking ball of seething anger due to not meeting her harsh standards for herself. Because of this endless cycle of rage, it's more or less a daily thing for Haruka to lash out at others. There's no sweet exterior or anything underneath either. Haruka is a five-foot ball of anger management issues that refuses to accept her best as actually being her best. A few other feelings that give Haruka issues are trust and commitment to anyone besides herself. She wouldn't trust others to even give her the correct time of day, let alone do something of actual importance. With virtually no faith in others, it's not hard to imagine that Haruka would be the sort of person who can't really stick her neck out for others out of the kindness of her heart that may not even exist in the first place. If Haruka ever helps others, there's a precise and thought-out reason behind it, and that reason will inevitably root back to it being for her own convenience. Helping others, even for her own benefit, can still be difficult for Haruka. Actually forming friendships is out of the question. As a result of her harsh self-criticism, Haruka has a very on-and-off sense of worth. One day she might be the most important person in the world, only to wake up the next day convinced that the universe would have been better off if she never entered it. This ties in directly with a frail ego. It's not tough to shut Haruka down entirely with just a few of the right words at the right time, or to pull her out of a depressive episode in the same fashion. Her constant lashing out can also be seen as a way to cope with this. She doesn't really do it to drag others down to her level, so much as to scare them off before they might say something to ruin her high moods or worsen her low ones. Catching Haruka in a legitimately bad mood can sometimes be quite different from the usual brash ball of anger and hate. In the event that somebody tried to speak with Haruka while exposed in such a manner, she'd prove to be far more forthright about her feelings. While Haruka's low moods don't generally have her defining bitter resentment, she can be far more volatile if set off in the middle of one. As such, and because she doesn't want people to see "how weak I am", Haruka will be more active in her search to be alone during these periods of time. She isn't one for company to begin with of course, but especially when she's not feeling so great, Haruka would like to take solace and solitude in the world of books. Haruka loves literature, be it reading or writing it. She has a particular fondness for fantasy stories, and rather enjoys writing "detailed" stories about brave princes and the heroic men they meet in their journey, and even draws manga with that goal in mind. It should be noted that Haruka is a massive yaoi fangirl, and if she sees a chance in her head to ship two boys together, she's taking it. She may even try to play matchmaker if she's confident enough on that particular day. Her own work tends to be a fair bit more shameless than what she generally reads, but if she meets somebody with the same interests as her, Haruka can and will gush about it. She can get a bit carried away during such conversations, but it doesn't take any sort of major understanding of Haruka to tell that she's by far the happiest when talking about her favorite types of stories with others. Seems she has a very special fondness for elves, effeminate males, and desert regions. [spoiler=Primary Info] Name: Piper O'reilly Age: 17 Student Year: Junior Character Passion: Art. Artistic expression seems to be the only thing that Piper has ever shown an genuine interesting in pursuing. Though she has an affinity for visual art, she appreciates and marvels in expression in any form and is known to see beauty in things that would not usually be considered as such. [spoiler=Appearance] Piper stands at five feet and six inches and weighs one-hundred and twenty pounds. Her style of clothing can vary from outfits usually worn by fashionable young men, to crop tops and jean shorts depending on her mood. On her person she usually carries a small backpack containing her sketchbook and a vast array of art supplies [spoiler=Biography] Born into a very rich and successful family, Piper as always been the black sheep amongst her siblings because of her affinity for the arts rather than business or other fields that are considered to be more respectable. Her reputation as the problem child was acquired quite early, and whilst her two sisters were constantly praised for their academic achievements, Piper found herself being scolded and punished for her wild and free nature. This only seemed to become more of an issue as she matured into a young woman, and though she was able to find her place amongst other young artists and activists, high society simply could not tolerate her inability to conform. She was bane of private schooling community, because of her refusal to blindly follow their rules and habit of "expressing herself" at inappropriate times or places or even rallying the other students in protests against the powers at be. Because her antics, Piper found herself frequently forced to jump from school to school, and though her family's wealth was able to protect her for the most part, even the O'reilly name would start to depreciate in value when it's signed under a mural that was illegally painted across an important school facility... In fact, it was one of such artistic ventures that landed Piper in New Orleans in the first place. Having been caught red handed with a group of friends during one of their late night panting sessions on campus, Piper chose to take all of the blame for the stunt, rather than have the other girls take the fall with her. Though the authorities were later involved, Piper's father was able to have the charges dropped with a little bit of convincing. It's quite astounding what a new computer lab can solve... Fed up with Piper and her rebelliousness, her mother and father agreed to send her away to live with her aunt and uncle in New Orleans under the assumption that separating her old life and friends would keep her out of trouble. Shipped away in a matter of weeks, Piper was left with a single warning. If she didn't straighten up and start taking steps towards a respectable future, she'd be cut off from the family completely. [spoiler=Personality] Piper is a prime example of the student who is constantly told that they would be highly successful in school if they were to just simply apply themselves. She is often late, or even cuts class completely, and constantly struggles to keep up with the school's dress code. Unsurprisingly quick to gain a reputation as a slacker, Piper spends the majority of her time scribbling in her sketchbook during classes whilst haphazardly listening to the lesson. A true free spirit by nature, Piper has a bad habit of playing by her own rules, and often times finds herself in trouble for it. She is impulsive and though she is usually good at keeping her temper under control, is capable of getting a tad crazy when finally provoked. However, despite the fact that she is usually grouped in with the troublemakers, Piper does not actively seek trouble aside for her habit of defacing school property... She finds it extremely bothersome to put forth any effort or attention into things she has no interest in, squandering her natural intelligent and problem solving skills and keeping her from becoming the jack of all trades that she could be. Consequently, if something seems boring or doesn’t line up with her interests she’ll quickly try to sigh it away, try to procrastinate or simply ignore it and move on to something else with little thought for consequence. Conversely, when Piper is into something, she’s all the way in, and it is in these moments that she shines the brightest. Her passion for art manifests in impressive problem solving skills and an eye for detail, and she develops an intensity that is almost tangible. When she manages to make friends, she is doggedly loyal to them despite being antagonistic at times, and will often time find herself taking more care for their well being than her own. Given her mellow nature, it is generally hard to get under Piper’s skin. Though she does have a unique moral code and won’t hesitate to take action if she feels something is wrong. A glaring chink her armor is the fact that she is extremely embarrassed of her home life, and makes a great deal effort to keep information about her wealth a secret from as many people as possible. Her family’s desire to strip her of what she thinks makes herunique is something like a black cloud that is slowly creeping over the horizon for her, and she still has yet to figure out what to do about it... . Personal InformationName: Jason GarrettGender: MaleAge: 17Student Year: Junior[spoiler=Appearance:]Height: 5'7"Weight: 170 lbs Depicted above is the normal appearance of Jason, with the outfit being one he wears on occasion. He normally wears a small wrist brace on his left wrist, trying to keep his wrist in check after his injury. [spoiler=Personality:]The saying is, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars". Unfortunately, for someone like Jason, that saying has been turned around into something like "Shoot for the moon! If you miss, use the stars as stepping stones!". It's obvious to see by this little phrase, that Jason doesn't tend to give up easily when it comes to certain tasks. If he's passionate about something enough, he'll want to see it to the end and complete it 100%. Aside from this little quirk, Jason is quite the laid-back type of guy. Even if he's working towards his goals, he tries to not take things too seriously. Though, one thing he currently hasn't been too passionate about lately happens to be basketball or sports in general. Due to his one argument with his foster father and a well placed broken left wrist, he's had zero motivation to want to ever play the game again. However, Jason is still human and isn't without his faults. One of these faults happens to be how aggressive and short-tempered he can sometimes be. With enough provoking or even getting frustrated to a certain point will lead Jason to get quite agitated and end up getting aggressive with those around him. This does get him labeled as a problem child, but these are only spread by those who want to screw with him. In regards to interaction with friends and family, Jason seems to distance himself from his family aside from his sister Alice. In his eyes, they've never truly given him the respect or attention Alice had, never really approving of his plans ever. And after the argument that ended up with his wrist being broken, Jason has held some hatred against his foster father specifically. In regards to friends, he seems pretty open with them (although keeping certain personal matters to himself and shutting everyone else out when it comes to this), but then again there are those "so-called" friends who tend to mention that his failure to ever show up to that game and pretty much signing the team's win away. To these type of people, Jason can get a bit heated against. [spoiler=Biography:]"You ever want something so bad, but it was taken away in an instant? I can tell you I have..." Jason grew up without knowing his biological parents. When he was conceived, Jason's mother died in childbirth while his father died during active duty a couple months before. As such he was adopted and grew up in the Garrett family, to which he was somewhat of the black sheep of the family. Between him and his sister, Alice, the focus was always on her. Of course this didn't surprise Jason, since she was his foster parents biological daughter, but it seemed much more like they don't think he exists. It was almost like they kept comparing him and his skills to Alice, who was a prodigy when it came to theater and music. On the other end of the spectrum, Jason's skills were a bit more practical: athletics, namely basketball and martial arts. Naturally, his foster parents didn't exactly take well to him wanting to become an athlete, which did start to drop his self-esteem down a few notches. However, through all of it, Alice was actually more supportive towards her adopted brother, telling Jason that he could do whatever he wanted, just to put his mind to it. With his self-esteem enforced now because of Alice, Jason started to try and apply himself in his athletics. While the martial arts was a bit on the scarce side, Jason tried and applied himself for the basketball tryouts at the school. It wasn't an easy road for him, but he got to the point where he was on the team as their small forward position player, thanks to his aggressive play style when in this position. Jason was finally happy that he was able to find his niche to utilize his talents and was always happy when it was game time. Unfortunately for him, he never once saw his foster parents at his games, as they were always busy with Alice's recitals. He understood the reasoning, but it always hurt him that they wouldn't ever show up. Then came one night where the biggest game of the year was happening and Jason never showed up. A huge argument was being had by his foster father and himself, as that night was the night of a theater production that Alice had the lead role in. His father wanted Jason to stop being selfish about playing sports and think about his sister and her amazing career. The argument got even more heated, as finally Jason was planning to leave to go to the game, when his foster father got in a rage and struck Jason, breaking his left wrist. Now sporting a broken wrist, Jason was sent to the hospital, not playing in the game...not seeing Alice perform...nothing. After that night, Jason found out that the team lost the game and it was because he wasn't there. He was immediately kicked off the team by the coach, who was furious about this and the fact that he had a broken wrist. Ever since then, Jason's life had been spiraling down. He grew distant from his family, aside from Alice, and never decided to follow his passion to play basketball again. After all, he already went through that disappointment before, what was the point of going through it again? All he's been doing is focusing on his school work, getting all of it done 100%. Character Passion: Athletics...Jason still believes that his skills are better suited in athletics rather than anything his sister has. The one thing he wants, is given the chance to play basketball again.Combat InformationMelee Weapon: Bokken --Into the World--> KatanaModel Gun of Choice: Airsoft Pistol --Into the World--> RevolverCharacter Persona: Date Masamune --To the Ultimate--> Kojin / Fudo Myo-o[spoiler=Persona Description:][spoiler=Date Masamune] Donned in blue samurai armor and a crescent-moon bearing helmet, Date Masamune, the One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu, has come to aid Jason in his time of need. Suffocating?"Character Name: Tia Sharma Character Age: 17[spoiler=Character Description]: https://i.imgur.com/5ZeIsF7.pngTia is a young woman of middle Asian descent, her surprisingly curvy and well-toned body stands at 168 cm and weighs roughly 52 kgs, with her most distinctive features being her dark complexion and chilling blue eyes. Her skin tone is pale, yet still darker and more tanned than a caucasian, perhaps due to her Bangladeshi heritage diluted over several generations. Pictured is her dancing costume, but her usual attire consists of a modest low-cut shirt or blouse, while a pair of black leggings adorn her legs. She wears her black hair in a neck-length bob cut, neatly curled outwards towards its ends.[spoiler=Character Biography]: The Sharma family emigrated to New Orleans at the peak of the space race, in a bid for a better life away from present day Bangladesh. As time pass, Tia’s great-grandfather started the family’s legacy to be a lineage of prodigies and geniuses, particularly on the field of medicine. Tia’s grandfather and mother are both incredibly accomplished doctors while her father is the general director of the largest hospital in the area. Born into extreme wealth and incredibly high expectations, Tia’s upbringing was a tale of neverending hard work and exhaustion. She was an only she child and thus carried all hopes of continuing in the family line of work of becoming a doctor. Initially, she was fine with it. She admired both her parents’ work, and greatly enjoyed the nursing and first-aid courses she took over her teenage years, yet she felt something was missing. As if some part in her was constantly being restrained. Being an only child, she had pretty much everything she could ever want. Nice clothes, the latest gadgets and even lavish trips overseas during the holidays. Yet still, something was missing. She did not feel truly satisfied with her life. Initially she consulted her parents about it, yet after she raised the possibility of her not wanting to become a doctor, her parents lashed out and threatened to cut her education, giving only one alternative, which is to be wedded off to a talented young doctor working at her father’s place. A huge fight ensued and ended with Tia badly injuring her arm after punching a glass case in blind anger. This incident happened around one year ago, and the rage and hatred she felt that day continued to stir inside her. She felt rather betrayed, as if all her hard work for sixteen years meant nothing to her parents. As if her life is on a set of rails and there’s nothing she can do to change its course. While she remained calm and collected on the surface, maintaining her aura of an elegant, cool madonna of the school, underneath she is very high-strung and tense, desperately yearning for a venue to vent her frustrations. Confused, angry, yet also hollow at the same time, Tia left her life on autopilot for several weeks, half-assing her studies and dozing off in class for the most part. Before the start of summer break of her sophomore year, she came across the school’s dance club. Although initially skeptical and hesitant, she was pushed into it by a close friend and eventually used the energetic and intense movements of the dance routines to be a wonderful outlet for her anger, yet it still felt incomplete. “Something’s still missing. I still feel empty. Is this truly what I want with life? Why can’t I be happy with anything?” Thoughts such as these run through her head day after day still. She wants to do more, but she isn’t sure what exactly she wants to do. The fire inside her, sparked by anger and the desire to break off from the chains her parents set on her, continue to blaze in her heart, yet with nowhere to go, it might extinguish itself in no time. [spoiler=Character Personality]: Known to the school as a calm beauty with brains to boot, Tia presents herself as a model student through and through. She’s polite, speaks with a soft voice, and conducts herself with an aura of elegance that distances her from ‘common folk’ as it were. Her cold eyes, combined with her neutral expression makes it seem as if she constantly judging another person as beneath her or unworthy of her time, leaving her with little in the way of friends or romance. Tia is a woman of few words, preferring to take action rather than speak. A methodical perfectionist, she greatly values a scientific approach towards most situations and things in life, and aims to fulfill any task set to her to absolute perfection. As her inner thoughts are in constant turmoil, she finds small talk to be tiring and pointless, instead preferring to convey her thoughts in a concise manner with as little words as possible, many people would find conversation with her to be very one sided, as they would go on and on only to be met with an “I see” from Tia’s side. Due to her tight upbringing, Tia is generally very serious as a person, devoting herself to whatever she’s doing at the time, which if at school, just happens to be studying. She doesn’t really any know any other way to go about life other than to do as told by her elders, so she does exactly that, diligently taking notes and attending classes like a model student would, with barely any other interest in anything else. Put simply, she’s somewhat of a boring person. Bit of a downer and barely standing up for herself, almost always yielding to other people in conversations, or simply not tuning in to gossip, it’s easy to mistake Tia for a doormat with no ambitions or goals or fight left in her. However, this is rather far from the truth. Underneath all the chains and rules imposed on her by her family, Tia is an existence filled with unfulfilled desire and passion. She wants to be free of her family’s expectations, she wants to let her fiery heart roam free and take her to places she’s never seen before, to do things she’s never done before. She wants to rebel and strike out against the world that she was thrust into without any conscious decision on her part. Deep under the facade of a calm, collected and elegant lady, is a fierce and angry girl, full of pent-up frustration and rage. Character Passion: Though she does not realize it herself, Tia’s true passion, as well as the reason her fire kept burning, is the desire to be depended on by others. Upon discovering how little she meant to her parents, she felt betrayed and loathed them for it. She wants to do good for others and be depended upon, which is why even venting her frustrations in the dance club doesnt sate her desire. Student Year: Tia is currently in her Junior year. Lotsa fun [spoiler=A Veteran of History][spoiler=Character Primary]Character Name: Abigail Merino~Military Rank before retiring: Colonel (Air Force)Character Age: 42[spoiler=Character Description:] Silver and white pepper the straight black hair that frames a pale skinned woman whom is showing some agelines upon her face due to stress, Abigail looks out into the world with a pair of vivid-green eyes that are also starting to show signs of faint greying. Biting the hand that feeds you is the worst thing you can do, given time. Towards her students, she shows a tough love, considering the cruel future that awaits each of them once out of high school. While she can't fully stand without a cane due to her broken leg now being slightly shorter than her non-broken one, she does what she can otherwise.Character Passion: She has seen enough cases where someone has been abandoned to their fate and wound up dead because they were unable to save themselves. Her one goal, above all else, is to make sure that at least her students have the knowledge needed to not find themselves in such a dire situation, and if they do, how to get out of such a situation. If someone would ask what her favorite game, she would answer with the name of an MMO that's still miraculously being played after over a decade, Path of Exile.[spoiler=Character Combat]Character Model Melee Weapon/Gun of Choice: Melee-Hardened Rifle(She legitimately owns a M16A2 Rifle from her time in the Air Force as well, which also is melee-hardened. No, she does not take the M16A2 into the Substitution World, but someone would get a nasty surprise if they tried to rob her home.) Character Persona: Perchta~Character's Preferred Ultimate: The Wild Hunt[spoiler=Persona Description:][spoiler=WTF happened to her face...?]Perchta appears as a noble woman of old times, an ornate hooded cloak of a dark-blue color that shimmers a golden color in the right light with her hand holding an ebony staff tipped with a golden point and an orb of azurite secured into place by golden leaves that hold it in its place and partially pierce the gemstone. Underneath the cloak, she wears a flowing dark-blue dress with a woven-in golden skirt underneath and decoration around her waist and neck. Near her neck, it could be seen that she wears chain mail underneath it, though it is mostly hidden by the dress and the clasp of the hood. When the hood is pulled down, dark-brown hair of a wavy appearance could be seen, but the most-striking trait would be her face... ...or lack thereof. Perchta wears two masks, the one visible depending on the most-recent action taken by her. The line separating the two was thin and blurred, unlike one that separated the maddening moon and its reflection. [spoiler=Character Personality]Jeanne is someone that is easy to admire and respect for her achievements as a young novelist and her demeanor, but at the same time, she is someone that is hard to personally like. Jeanne has made the world of her dreams to be her reality since for her, dreams are merely things that will be made into reality with her own two hands. [spoiler=Character Passion]Drawing, Reading, Adventures, Writing, Love Simply writing Violet in this section should suffice, but as Jeanne would love to, it will get elaborated here. She said that this feeling is the purest of any kind of romantic feeling, a love that is simply for love's sake, and the bond that ties the two together is like the unbreakable bonds of two lonely souls accompanying each other in a desolate world. Strapped on the knight's back is a banner of the fair damsel that the knight pines for – a large, stylized D on one side, and a large, stylized V on the other side. Student Year: Junior. a bad post
[spoiler=Character Info]Character Name: Quinn St. LawrenceCharacter Age: 16[spoiler=Appearance]Quinn generally presents himself as a very trendy and fashion foward person. His bleached hair is often changing colors, though most frequently he bleaches it until it's white. On a day to day basis Quinn usually wears some form of eye make-up usually in very neutral colors, however when going out will pull out the whole nine yards and wear highly saturated colors that pop well with the pastels that often make up his outfit. Quinn often makes liberal use of glitter in his party outfits. He also has a septum and tongue piercing as well studs on his ears. Quinn's day to day clothes usually consist loose fitting clothing, a pair of skinny jeans, and his sneakers. When the weather begins to turn cold he usually completes his ensemble with a cardigan. His clothes tend to consist of cool pastel colors mostly blues and purples with at times a gray, or white thrown in. Quinn is rather short for a boy his age and only stands about 5'4", however despite this and the fact that he looks quite scawny Quinn does have a bit of muscle and can hold his on in a fight.[spoiler=Character Biography]Originally a Seattle native Quinn grew up in a very supportive environment and had, for the most part, a very normal childhood. A straight-A student for most of his life Quinn was about as vanilla as they came. Quinn's parents offered an open and accepting environment for their son growing up, and all things considered, Quinn's early life was pretty healthy. The summer before Quinn was going to start high school he asked his parents if he could move to New Orleans and live with his sister. Most of Quinn's life up until then had been pretty sheltered spent with people who looked, talked, and acted like him. Going into the young adult portion of his life Quinn wanted to experience some culture and meet new people. Quinn's parents being the people that they were said, that if it was ok with his sister that he could go. Gwen, Quinn's sister, was more than willing to let her little brother move in with her confident that she could support the both of them with the money she made as a lawyer. So, Quinn registered to go to school in New Orleans, and about a week before school started Quinn moved in with his sister and her roommates, Isabella and Rowan. However, moving into a new neighborhood so soon before the school year gave Quinn little time to make new friends, and so when school finally started he often found himself feeling alone. Many of his peers had already formed friend groups, and Quinn was already somewhat socially awkward so it was difficult for him to break into the already formed cliques. Gwen noticing the difficulties he was having she suggested that join some clubs and see if he could make friends that way. At the suggestion of Rowan Quinn decided to join the drama club. At first, Quinn's experiences in the drama club went well; he made fast friends with the other kids, he began to become more extroverted and wasn't so bad of an actor either. Not long after he joined he was invited to his first high school party, and everything that Quinn has become can be traced back to the moment that he agreed to go this party. This first party was quite tame, only some alcohol and a few passed around cigarettes, the basic high school party. As the school year went on, however, Quinn began to discover the hard way the stressors of high school life. Quinn's full schedule of AP classes left him with little time to himself, and as the date of the school play drew closer Quinn found his sleep schedule suffering, and his stress levels rising. This is when Quinn began to really change, both appearance and personality wise. To self-medicate Quinn turned to drugs and alcohol, and while Gwen and her roommates noticed Quinn's drastic change in appearance, however around them besides being more extroverted his personality had changed very little. In addition to that Gwen and her friends were often occupied with her work to take notice that Quinn was coming home later on weekends and that his clothes often smelled of weed and alcohol. At school, though Quinn changed greatly becoming much more flirtatious with his fellow classmates the guys and girls alike, however with this also came bullying from classmates who were not quite so accepting of an effeminate young man who flirted with other boys. Quinn, however, did not plan to take the harassment laying down, and would often make biting remarks of his towards his bullies, however, eventually these confrontations became physical. While Gwen noticed the bruises and cuts her brother was getting his grades remained high and whenever she questioned Quinn about it he would clam up about it. While Quinn was beginning to experience problems he was still keeping things under control. To his sister and teachers, Quinn was a model student, he may have dressed a little garishly and acted somewhat dramatic, but he was a drama kid, they were all a little weird. At the end of his freshman year, Quinn was invited to a large party at one of his classmate's houses. This party was far beyond anything that Quinn had gone too, there were hard liquor and drugs beyond just the usual weed. Among the crowd, Quinn met another young man who handed him a drink and began flirting with him, however as the night went on Quinn quickly began to feel dizzy and disoriented. Noticing Quinn's state the other young man pulled him into a side room where he sexually assaulted Quinn. After the party, Quinn began to change again. While most couldn't tell the difference he became more averse to touch and stayed away from large parties. He never told anyone about what happened that night though, as he knew what it would look like, and it would only serve to ruin his reputation.[spoiler=Personality]If Quinn could be described in one way it would your basic party jabroni, at least on the surface level. Quinn acts in a way that leads most people to believe him to be shallow, and a little bit of an airhead, and really Quinn does little to try and dispel these notions about himself. In Quinn's opinion, the best way for him to prove himself is by his actions, and besides a little eccentricity always helps to distinguish someone from the crowd. While Quinn lets himself be a bit wilder and open among his friends, however in front of people like his parents or his teachers Quinn maintains a professional, if a little joking personality. While generally Quinn is known to be a kind person who enjoys hanging around with his friends and joking around, however, Quinn does not always extend his kindness to everyone, and not everyone who is on the back end of his biting tongue deserves it. Despite being a victim of bullying himself Quinn has been none to pick on others who are not among the in-crowd he usually hangs around with. Character Passion: Success. Success at what doesn't really matter to him, Quinn just feels that if he isn't the best at what he's doing at that moment he's wasting his life. However, by Giselle's undying love was enough to save her former lover from death, despite this Giselle remained a Willis and her dance was used to lead many a wayward adventerer astray to his doom.
