Tojin
A motley crew of Level 2-5 Normal Pendulum monsters with decent stats and no Extra Deck. They have Pendulum Effects and a few S/T support cards meant to protect and promote normal monsters in general, making them useful with the really crappy normal Pendulum monsters that Konami made (Dragong anyone?) Ther boss monster does have an effect, but it's a Level 8 Gemini monster that can either benefit from your scale effects, or be normal summoned to gain its own. All around a ragtag bunch of simpletons. I've always liked the concept of a deck based around normal monsters, so when all the normal pendulum cards got released, I was pretty excited. Then they ended up being pretty s***. As such, this archetype is my attempt to remedy that. I tried to stick with the idea of having some nice, generic, goodstuff.dek-type effects as much as I could, and I think I succeeded. Also keep in mind that I designed these about an hour after I said I'd do them, so if something's really ridiculous or not very well-thought-out, please let me know. Draconus297
Is there any particular reason that Triage targets? We already have cards with effect text that says "no cards are destroyed by that effect", so really I don't know why Triage targets everything that would be destroyed and saves literally everyone. Now, if you chose targets (ie, "target any number of cards that would be destroyed: Those targets are not destroyed") you could pick and choose who lives and dies, but otherwise it's just a very strange card. Ambush is quite simply a better Unexpected Dai, which I have no complaints about. Feint has very strange effect text, let me clean that up for you: "Once, during your opponent's Battle Phase, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls and 1 Normal monster you control: The target your opponent controls must attack the target you control, if possible." I would also possibly recommend a "and no other attack targets" clause, meaning that a multi-attacker would have only the one swing if it does kill the target, but that's just me. Regarding the monsters, the inconsistency will make playing this Deck complete murder, but if you do open up well there are lots of interesting plays. However, I do want to suggest one have AGM-supported stats to warrant the inclusion of tech cards: yes, your lower-Level monsters can be Summoned from the Deck by Spellbound Archangel if that dies (ATK and DEF both at 1500 or less), but we do support Level 2 Thunder, EARTH monsters whose combined stats equal 2900, monsters with 1000/0 stats . . . But yeah, even without genetically supported cards, I personally like Simplatoon.
Tojin
Thanks for the review Draconus! I've fixed up Triage and Feint's effect text, and made Soldier (now Footsoldier) 1000/0, to allow for more spicy AGM techs like you suggested. Tactician is already a level 2 Thunder, so that should be good. Expect a review of Wyvernite later today!EDIT: Added Simplatoon Shocktrooper!
