Deadlines:* The deadline for posting cards is approximately 48 hours after a topic has been decided.* The deadline for voting for cards is approximately 96 hours after both cards have been created and posted. Rewards:* The winner gets a rep from the loser.* All voters get a rep for voting. Requirements:•Since this is the first 1v1 of the season, make a Level 1 monster. Cards: [spoiler=Card A]Small FryWATER/Fish/Tuner/Effect/Level 1/100 ATK/100 DEFIf the total level of monsters you control (min 1) is 3 or lower, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. A Synchro Monster that used this card as a Synchro Material is treated as a Tuner monster. [spoiler=Card B]Alien RingwurmLIGHT/Reptile/Tuner/Effect/Level 1/500 ATK/500 DEFWhen there are 3 or more A-Counters on monsters on the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard), but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only Special Summon "Alien Ringwurm" once per turn this way. This card gains 1 Level (max. 12) and 500 ATK and DEF for each A-Counter on the field. Once per turn, if a Reptile-Type monster you control would be destroyed by battle, you can place 1 A-Counter on 1 face-up monster your opponent controls instead. Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted January 28, 2017 Report Share Posted January 28, 2017 [both of you decided to make Tuners, hmm?] Card A is basically restricted to stuff that utilize A Legendary Ocean and other things (Atlanteans, for now, I suppose); it's not really a bad thing in terms of SSing, but don't think it really goes well with the aforementioned Deck given typing. Not to say that it's bad (as you technically do have Fishborgs or something, however relevant those are nowadays, and it's at least a small replacement for Blaster). I suppose the Tuner thing helps for Accel Synchro things and don't have space to actually run a Synchro Tuner, but yeah. (It's not like Fish are ever going to being something like, say...Ultimaya anytime soon). I'm not implying that this card is only good in low Level decks; it can still be NS'd and the Tuner perk helps, but more often than not, you're likely NSing this thing b/c Levels are too high for its condition to work, and just not seeing a good home for this right now. Card B is an Alien-postlegacy support and another Tuner so they can make Gol'gar and not rely on Ammonite for it. At minimum, this card is basically a 2000 ATK Level 4 Tuner, which will let them make more Synchros without going through hoops (well, multiple monsters and/or the higher Levels/laddering). A concern would be this card becoming exceedingly powerful if you've managed to set up, but nowadays, I don't think they'll be able to maintain a high number of counters in the power creep, though it fits flavor-wise [maybe enough to get this card rolling]. I suppose it does contribute to helping Aliens generate those A-Counters they need so much (and keeps them on the field). If anything, gives Aliens more options for Synchro Summoning instead of using Ammonite as a lone Tuner and counter support. ====Voting for B in this case. While it will take a rehaul of the entire Deck to make Aliens functional in the power creep, it does provide needed support for counter generation and opens up more doors for them. Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted January 28, 2017 Report Share Posted January 28, 2017 Just want to make a quick announcement about card B concerning Gol'gar because I mentioned it. After a bit of checking, you can't use card B to make it b/c it specifically requires Ammonite [thought it required an Alien non-Tuner].
