The Nyx Avatar
This is a gift from one member of AGM to ChampionZero (another member of AGM). The set needed at least 4 cards, but this archetype has 10, with more to come, and still open for suggestions. The archetype is Infernal Flame; the cards in this set are FIRE and DARK Spellcaster-Type monsters with easy Summons in order to easily set up Synchro Summons. The only recurring theme these have otherwise is sending cards of the archetype to the Graveyard. The Synchro monsters are intended to be like the Red Dragon Archfiend monsters, in the fact that they can build to bigger and stronger variations/versions. And unlike the Main Deck monsters, they are Warrior-Type. Merry Christmas, ChampionZero! [spoiler=Show Monster Cards] Pendulum Effect:You can destroy this card; Special Summon 1 "Infernal Flame" monster from your Deck, but banish it during the End Phase. You can only activate this effect of "Infernal Flame Mage - Aka" once per turn. Monster Effect:When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Infernal Flame" monster that is banished or face-up in your Pendulum Zone. While this card is face-up in your Extra Deck, this card is treated as a Level 4 monster. Pendulum Effect:During either player's turn, if a FIRE or DARK monster you control would be destroyed by a card effect: You can destroy this card instead. Monster Effect:When this card is Normal SUmmoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Infernal Flame" monster from your hand or Graveyard. Pendulum Effect:If you successfully Synchro Summon an "Infernal Flame" monster: You can draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of "Infernal Flame Priestess - Ama" once per turn. Monster Effect:While you control an "Infernal Flame" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. During either player's turn, if an "Infernal Flame" monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can discard this card; increase that monster's ATK by 1000 until the end of the Battle Phase. Pendulum Effect:You can banish 1 "Infernal Flame" card in your Graveyard or face-up in your Extra Deck; draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of "Infernal Flame Soul Eater - Vivian" once per turn. Monster Effect:You can banish 1 "Infernal Flame" monster from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Gain Life Points equal to its original ATK. Pendulum Effect:Once per turn: You can pay 1000 Life Points; add 1 "Infernal Flame" monster from your Graveyard to your hand. Monster Effect:Cannot be Special Summoned, except by Pendulum Summon. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Infernal Flame" monster from your hand or Graveyard, and if you do, pay Life Points equal to that monster's original ATK. Pendulum Effect:While you control no monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your Pendulum Zone, but its becomes 0 and it is banished during the End Phase. Monster Effect:Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. If a FIRE or DARK monster you control is destroyed (either by battle or by card effect): You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can send 1 "Infernal Flame" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. Pendulum Effect:You can discard 1 FIRE or DARK monster to target 1 FIRE or DARK monster with a different name from your Graveyard; Special Summon it, but its ATK and DEF become 0 and it is destroyed during the End Phase. If you do, you cannot Pendulum Summon this turn. You can only activate this effect of "Infernal Flame Ritualist - Gavrila" once per turn. Monster Effect:You can banish up to 2 FIRE or DARK monsters from your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 FIRE or DARK monster from your hand with a Level less than or equal to the combined Level of the banished by this effect. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Agh! My comment didn't go through!Anywho, I love it Nyx! And I'm curious what you have planned when you say there's more to come. I know this is an AGM gift thread, but you still have to follow the Advanced Clause (at least provide specifics of what you like about what Nyx made for you). ChampionZero
Oh, I apologize. I should have assumed. The Pendulum Scales of the main Deck monsters seem a little scattered, and I'm concerned about the lack of Tuners. But otherwise, it looks like it has the potential to definitely evolve into something good, if not entirely up-to-meta. I definitely can't argue with the monster aesthetic. MUDKIPISAWESOME!!!
Somewhat unrelated question, but where did you get the art for these, specifically the Ritualist, Pyromancer, and Dancer?
The Nyx Avatar
Somewhat unrelated question, but where did you get the art for these, specifically the Ritualist, Pyromancer, and Dancer?I just do an Image search; that goes for all of my cards. I don't go on any specific sites or artists for this art. New Synchro monster added to the archetype.

ChampionZero
Good lord! Ok, so clearly this is the best thing ever. I'm especially enjoying the rapid increase of power on the part of the Synchro monsters. I'm having a little trouble figuring out why these monsters have this theme of sending stuff to the graveyard so much. I can't seem to find the explanation on my own. Also, for Ignus Demonfire, what does the life-point halving effect get activated by? The effect that sends monsters to the Graveyard? It's not entirely clear. It's not entirely clear.Yes; it's meant to activate in response to sending the monster to the Graveyard. And sending them to the Graveyard is mostly to fuel some of their plays, like Special Summoning from the Graveyard or banishing them for costs. ChampionZero
OK, that makes a lot more sense. And it makes Demonfire a hell of a boss monster. If I use these guys in a roleplay, I might be a little OP! But for regular gameplay, they're be just hard-hitting enough. Well done overall, but bonus points to the Synchros for variety and power!
