[Written] Spiritrinket- Redemption For Bizarre Fusion Concepts!

So, remember how I said I'd be reusing ideas and such from bad Fusion archetypes to make them good? This is that. This takes ideas from Neos, Cyberdarks, and an odd card or two from Worms and Vehicroids.

 

Most notably of these changes is a slight alteration in how the Contact Fusion Neos pioneered worked, without buffing it all the way to Gladiator Beasts' level. I also gave the "Neos" of the archetype effects it borrows from other HERO monsters, just so we're not completely dead on arrival.

 

That said, I'm only doing 8 Fusions in this first post. Our "singles", our Cyberdark Dragon replacement, and our Worm Zero. I'm definitely making triple-Fusions, but balancing them against one another is . . . tricky, and I'm likely going to find another random bad Fusion to increase the efficacy of, given that Neos has exactly 3 Fusions that aren't explicitly with 1 or 2 Neo-Spacians (Rainbow, Divine, and Knight).

 

Without further ado . . . Spiritrinkets.

Darbas of the Spiritrinkets

EARTH - Level 7 - Spellcaster/Effect - 2500/2000

If you control a face-up "Spiritrinket" monster, you can reduce the number of Tributes required to Normal Summon this monster by 1. If your opponent controls a monster, you can reduce the amount of Tributes required to Normal Summon this monster by 1. If this monster is Normal or Special Summoned, you can add 1 "Spiritrinket" monster from your Deck to your hand.

 

Say hi to our Neos. Not exactly the best thing in the world, but it works considerably well for the archetype.

 

Spiritrinket Faux-Darbas

EARTH - Level 4 - Spellcaster/Effect - 1700/1100

This monster's name on the field is treated as "Darbas of the Spiritrinkets". If this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "Spiritrinket" Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand, but you cannot activate that card this turn.

 

Neos Alius and Neo Space Pathfinder, both effects mildly buffed and put on the same card with Prisma's stats for laughs. Not much to say.

 

Spiritrinket of Gentle Snow

WATER - Level 3 - Aqua/Effect - 400/1200

Once per turn, you can target up to 2 face-up Spell and/or Trap Cards on the field: The effects of the target(s) on the field are negated, also gain 400 Life Points for each of this effect's targets. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Spiritrinket" monster in your Graveyard and equip that target to this monster as an Equip Spell Card (you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect). This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the ATK of the equipped monster. While equipped with a monster, Battle Damage inflicted to your opponent by this monster in battles with your opponent's monster is doubled.

 

Decently simple, and given the archetype this is you won't be inflicting much damage unless you equip it with Darbas. However, I do want you to note that stat line.

 

Spiritrinket Frost Tiara

WATER - Level 1 - Aqua/Effect - 200/600

You can increase your Life Points by 300 (You can only activate this effect of "Spiritrinket Frost Tiara" once per turn). This monster on the field can be treated as "Spiritrinket of Gentle Snow" for a Fusion Summon. You can Tribute this face-up monster: Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket of Gentle Snow" from your hand or Deck. If this card is shuffled into the Deck, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your Deck, except "Spiritrinket Frost Tiara".

 

Yup, I'm making my vastly upgraded equivalent to the Chrysalis monsters. No, I'm not remaking the Chrysalis support.

 

Spiritrinket of Prevailing Winds

WIND - Level 3 - Winged Beast/Effect - 600/1000

You can target 1 face-up card your opponent controls: Return that target to its original owner's hand (You can only activate this effect of "Spiritrinket of the Prevailing Winds" once per turn). Once per turn, you can target 1 "Spiritrinket" monster in your Graveyard and equip that target to this monster as an Equip Spell Card (you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect). This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the ATK of the equipped monster. While equipped with a monster, this monster can attack your opponent directly, but damage inflicted this way is halved.

 

Noticing something? You should be.

 

Spiritrinket Breeze Bracelet

WIND - Level 1 - Winged Beast/Effect - 300/500

You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls with ATK less than or equal to the ATK of a monster you control: Return that target to its original owner's hand (You can only activate this effect of "Spiritrinket Breeze Bracelet" once per turn). This monster on the field can be treated as "Spiritrinket of Prevailing Winds" for a Fusion Summon. You can Tribute this face-up monster: Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket of Prevailing Winds" from your hand or Deck. If this card is shuffled into the Deck, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your Deck, except "Spiritrinket Breeze Bracelet".

 

Spiritrinket of Arcing Electricity

LIGHT - Level 3 - Thunder/Effect - 800/800

At the start of the Battle Phase, the monster your opponent controls with the highest ATK loses 800 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Spiritrinket" monster in your Graveyard and equip that target to this monster as an Equip Spell Card (you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect). This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the ATK of the equipped monster. If this monster attacks while equipped with a monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.

 

All the Main Deck Cyberdark-esque Spiritrinkets have exactly 1600 combined ATK and DEF. Up ahead is where things get a little spooky in terms of attacking power. For Level 3 monsters, that is.

 

Spiritrinket Spark Ring

LIGHT - Level 1 - Thunder/Effect - 400/400

At the start of the Battle Phase, you can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls: Reduce that target's ATK by 500. This monster on the field can be treated as "Spiritrinket of Arcing Electricity" for a Fusion Summon. You can Tribute this face-up monster: Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket of Arcing Electricity" from your hand or Deck. If this card is shuffled into the Deck, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your Deck, except "Spiritrinket Spark Ring".

 

Oh yeah, and the Chrysalis upgrades all have exactly half the stats of the monster they copy, and a watered-down version of its effect.

 

Spiritrinket of Rising Flames

FIRE - Level 3 - Pyro/Effect - 1000/600

Once per turn, you can target up to 2 monsters on the field: Destroy those targets, then inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each card destroyed by this effect. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Spiritrinket" monster in your Graveyard and equip that target to this monster as an Equip Spell Card (you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect). This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the ATK of the equipped monster. While equipped with a monster, if this monster destroys your opponent's monster by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the destroyed monster's original ATK.

 

To compensate for the rising ATK power, though, the battle effects are getting less immediately powerful. That said, the bosses won't be as limited . . .

 

Spiritrinket Ember Necklace

FIRE - Level 1 - Pyro/Effect - 500/300

Once per turn, you can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls: Destroy that target, and inflict 200 damage to your opponent. This monster on the field can be treated as "Spiritrinket of Rising Flames" for a Fusion Summon. You can Tribute this face-up monster: Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket of Rising Flames" from your hand or Deck. If this card is shuffled into the Deck, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your Deck, except "Spiritrinket Ember Necklace".

 

Spiritrinket of Crushing Rock

EARTH - Level 3 - Rock/Effect - 1200/400

Once per turn, if your opponent Special Summons a monster, you can banish that monster until your 2nd Standby Phase after this effect's activation. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Spiritrinket" monster in your Graveyard and equip that target to this monster as an Equip Spell Card (you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect). This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the ATK of the equipped monster. If this monster battles your opponent's monster while equipped with a monster, the opposing monster's effects are negated (including in the Graveyard).

 

Doom Lord on-Summon to better deal with some floaters your opponent may have.

 

Spiritrinket Stone Anklet

EARTH - Level 1 - Rock/Effect - 600/200

The first time your opponent would Special Summon a monster with less ATK than this monster in a turn, you can banish this monster and the opposing monster until the 2nd Standby Phase after this effect's activation. This monster on the field can be treated as "Spiritrinket of Crushing Rock" for a Fusion Summon. You can Tribute this face-up monster to Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket of Crushing Rock" from your hand or Deck. If this card is shuffled into the Deck, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your Deck, except "Spiritrinket Stone Anklet".

 

Spiritrinket of Shifting Shadows

DARK - Level 3 - Fiend/Effect - 1600/0

Once per turn, you can target 1 monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls: The original ATK of the first target becomes the original ATK of the second target, and vice versa, until the End Phase. Once per turn, you can target 1 "Spiritrinket" monster in your Graveyard and equip that target to this monster as an Equip Spell Card (you can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect). This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the ATK of the equipped monster. While equipped with a monster, this monster inflicts piercing Battle Damage.

 

Spiritrinket Dark Belt

DARK - Level 1 - Fiend/Effect - 800/0

When this monster is Summoned, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: This monster's ATK becomes equal to the original ATK of the target, until the End Phase. This monster on the field can be treated as "Spiritrinket of Shifting Shadows" for a Fusion Summon. You can Tribute this face-up monster to Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket of Shifting Shadows" from your hand or Deck. If this card is shuffled into the Deck, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your Deck, except "Spiritrinket Dark Belt".

 

Spiritrinket Raw Spirit

EARTH - Level 2 - Psychic/Effect - 400/400

Once per turn, you can send 1 monster you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. If this monster is sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket" monster from your hand. A "Spiritrinket" monster equipped with this card gains 1 additional attack per Battle Phase.

Field Spell

"Spiritrinket" monsters you control gain 500 ATK and DEF. "Spiritrinket" Fusion monsters also gain an additional 200 ATK and DEF for each Fusion Material used in their Fusion Summon. Once per turn, you can Normal Summon 1 "Spiritrinket" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. If you Normal Summoned "Darbas of the Spiritrinkets" this turn, you can gain 1 additional Normal Summon.

 

Spiritrinket Display Case

Continuous Spell

Once per turn, if you control a face-up "Spiritrinket" monster, you can Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket" monster from your hand. If this card is destroyed, you can reveal 1 '"Spiritrinket" Fusion monster from your Extra Deck, except "Darbas, Bearer of the Spiritrinkets" or "Darbas, Spiritrinket of the Sacred Tome", and send it's Fusion Materials from your Deck to the Graveyard. During your next Standby Phase, Special Summon the revealed monster from your Extra Deck (this is treated as a Fusion Summon by that monster's own effect).

Normal Spell

Fusion Summon 1 "Spiritrinket" Fusion monster (except "Darbas, Spiritrinket of the Sacred Tome") from your Extra Deck by shuffling the required Materials from your hand, side of the field, and/or Graveyard into your Deck, ignoring Summoning conditions.

 

Spiritrinket Calling

Normal Spell

Draw 1 card for each "Spiritrinket" monster you control with a different name. You can only activate 1 "Spiritrinket Calling" per turn.

The equipped monster gains 800 ATK and DEF. If the equipped monster attacks, you can Set 1 "Spiritrinket" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck or Graveyard. If the equipped monster is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Darbas of the Spiritrinkets" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. If this card is destroyed, return it to your hand instead, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your hand or Deck.

Target 1 face-up "Spiritrinket" Fusion monster in your Graveyard or face-up on your side of the field: Return that target to the Extra Deck, and if you do, you can Special Summon its printed Fusion Materials from your Deck or Graveyard, and if you do that, the activated effects of a Level 3 or lower "Spiritrinket" monsters Special Summoned this way become Quick Effects until the End Phase.

If this card is destroyed by a card effect, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Spiritrinket" monster from your hand: A monster Summoned by this effect cannot be targeted for attacks or effects this turn.

Must be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by discarding 1 "Polymerization" or "Fusion" Spell Card while you control a face-up "Darbas of the Spiritrinkets", and cannot be Summoned by other ways. A "Spiritrinket" monster Fusion Summoned using this monster as Material gains 1000 ATK and DEF, also it cannot be Tributed. Once per turn, if this card is in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Darbas of the Spiritrinkets" from your hand.

 

Spiritrinket Darbas of the Serene Snowfall

Must be Fusion Summoned by sending the above monsters you control to the Graveyard (you do not use "Polymerization"), and cannot be Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, you can target 1 monster you control: That monster's original ATK becomes equal to the current ATK of the monster on the field with the highest ATK, until the End Phase. During each of your End Phases, select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Shuffle 1 "Spiritrinket" monster from your Graveyard into your Deck.

●Return this monster into your Extra Deck, then Special Summon 1 of this monster's Fusion Materials from your Graveyard.

 

Spiritrinket Darbas - Grand Paladin

EARTH - Level 7 - Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect - 2500/2000

"Darbas of the Spiritrinkets" + 1 Warrior-Type monster

Must first be Fusion Summoned using the above Materials. This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to half the ATK of the Warrior-Type monster used as Material for this monster's Summon. Once per turn, if this monster attacked this turn, you can shuffle 1 "Spiritrinket" monster from your hand or Graveyard into your Deck: Increase this monster's ATK by the ATK of the shuffled monster, and if you do, this monster can declare 1 additional attack this turn. Once per turn, during either player's turn, if your opponent activates a Spell Card: You can shuffle 1 "Spiritrinket" card from your Graveyard into your Deck to negate the activation, and if you do, shuffle that card into the Deck.

 

Spiritrinket Darbas of the Freezing Firestorm

FIRE - Level 8 - Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect - 3000/2500

"Darbas of the Spiritrinkets" + "Spiritrinket of Gentle Snow" + "Spiritrinket of Rising Flames"

Must be Fusion Summoned by sending the above monsters you control to the Graveyard, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. This monster's Attribute is also always treated as WATER. Once per turn, any 4 cards on the field or in your opponent's hand have their effects negated and cannot activate their effects, including in the Graveyard, until the End Phase (any cards in your opponent's hand are selected at random), also increase your Life Points by 600 for each card negated by this effect. Once per turn, you can destroy up to 4 random cards your opponent controls: Inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each card destroyed by this effect. This monster gains ATK equal to the difference between your and your opponent's Life Points. During each of your End Phases, select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Shuffle 2 "Spiritrinket" monsters from your Graveyard into your Deck.

●Return this monster into your Extra Deck, then Special Summon 1 of this monster's Fusion Materials from your Graveyard.

 

Spiritrinket Darbas of the Ceaseless Sandstorm

EARTH - Level 8 - Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect - 3000/2500

"Darbas of the Spiritrinkets" + " Spiritrinket of Prevailing Winds" + "Spiritrinket of Crushing Rock"

Must be Fusion Summoned by sending the above monsters you control to the Graveyard, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. This monster's Attribute is also always treated as WIND. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can target 1 card your opponent controls: Shuffle that target into the Deck. Once per turn, during either player's turn, if your opponent would Summon a monster(s): Banish that monster(s). This monster gains 500 ATK for each of your opponent's Zones that are not occupied by a card. During each of your End Phases, select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Shuffle 2 "Spiritrinket" monsters from your Graveyard into your Deck.

●Return this monster into your Extra Deck, then Special Summon 1 of this monster's Fusion Materials from your Graveyard.

 

Spiritrinket Darbas of the Infinite Chaos

DARK - Level 8 - Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect - 3000/2500

"Darbas of the Spiritrinkets" + "Spiritrinket of Arcing Electricity" + "Spiritrinket of Shifting Shadows"

Must be Fusion Summoned by sending the above monsters you control to the Graveyard, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. This monster's Attribute is also always treated as LIGHT. At the start of the Battle Phase, the original ATK of all monsters your opponent controls becomes 0. Once per turn, you can make the original ATK of 1 monster you control equal to the original ATK of 1 other monster on the field. If this monster attacks, switch all monsters your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position (Flip Effects are not activated at this time). During each of your End Phases, select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Shuffle 2 "Spiritrinket" monster from your Graveyard into your Deck.

●Return this monster into your Extra Deck, then Special Summon 1 of this monster's Fusion Materials from your Graveyard.

 

Spiritrinket of Multiple Pieces

DARK - Level 8 - Psychic/Fusion/Effect - 1600/1600

3 Level 3 or higher "Spiritrinket" monsters of different names

Must be Fusion Summoned by sending the above monsters you control to the Graveyard, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. This monster gains 100 ATK and DEF for every card in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can target 1 monster in the Graveyard and equip that target to this monster as an Equip Spell Card. This monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the ATK of all equipped monsters. This monster gains the effects of all "Spiritrinket" monsters equipped to this monster by its own effect. If this monster would be destroyed, you can send 1 card equipped to this monster to the Graveyard: This monster is not destroyed. During each of your End Phases, select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●Shuffle 1 "Spiritrinket" monster from your Graveyard into your Deck.

●Return this monster into your Extra Deck, then Special Summon 1 of this monster's Fusion Materials from your Graveyard.

 

True Ultimate Spiritrinket

LIGHT - Level 9 - Psychic/Effect - 3100/3100

3 or more monsters with a combined Level of at least 21, including at least 1 "Spiritrinket" monster

Must be Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned by its own effect, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. You can Special Summon this monster from your Graveyard by sending monsters with a combined Level of at least 21 from either player's field to the Graveyard, including at least 1 "Spiritrinket" monster.. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can target 1 monster in either player's Graveyard and equip it to this monster: This monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the equipped monster. If this monster is equipped with a "Spiritrinket" monster with this effect, your opponent must toss a coin when they activate a card or effect: If Heads, that card is negated and destroyed, then you must shuffle 1 "Spiritrinket" card from your Graveyard or side of the field into your Deck.

Must be Fusion Summoned, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. This monster's original ATK and DEF is equal to the number of Fusion Materials used to Fusion Summon this monster x500. If this monster leaves the field, you can Special Summon 1 "Spiritrinket" monster from your Graveyard, except "Darbas, Spiritrinket of the Sacred Tome", ignoring Summoning conditions. This monster gains the following effects depending on the number of Fusion Materials used for its Fusion Summon:

●3+: If a "Spiritrinket" monster would be returned to your Deck by the effect of a "Spiritrinket" Fusion monster, you can add that monster to your hand, instead.

●5+: Other "Spiritrinket" monsters you control gain ATK equal to this monster's original ATK.

●7+: This monster is unaffected by, and cannot be targeted by, other card effects.

●10+: Your opponent cannot negate the effects of "Spiritrinket" monsters.

●12+: If this monster battles, you can draw 1 card. If that card is a "Spiritrinket" monster, banish all cards your opponent controls, and end the Battle Phase. You can only activate this effect once while this card is on the field.

This monster's name on the field and in the Graveyard is also treated as both "Darbas of the Spiritrinkets" and "Dame of the Sacred Tome". Must be Fusion Summoned by sending monsters with the above original names from your side of the field to the Graveyard, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. If this monster is equipped with "Sturmfalken", "Flamenschlagen", "Frosthaifisch", or "Soulbound Fae", your opponent cannot activate cards or effects during your turn. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can select and activate 1 of the following effects:

●If this monster battled this turn, you can shuffle all monsters your opponent controls and in their Graveyard into the Deck.

●If this monster did not battle this turn, activate the effect of 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field or in the Graveyard.

 

Darbas, Spiritrinket of the Elements

Must be Fusion Summoned, and cannot be Summoned by other ways. This monster's Attribute is also always treated as WATER, FIRE, EARTH, and WIND. You can Fusion Summon this monster using monsters in your hand and on your side of the field, without a Fusion Spell Card. This monster gains the effects of each of its named Fusion Materials sent from the field to the Graveyard. If you use a non-"Spiritrinket" monster as Fusion Material for this monster's Summon, this monster's ATK and DEF are halved. Once per turn, you can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls: Equip this monster with that target. While equipped with a monster, this monster can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. If this monster destroys your opponent's monster by battle, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. If this monster would be destroyed, you can:

●Destroy 1 card equipped to this monster instead, and if you do, target 1 card your opponent controls: Destroy that target.

●Shuffle 1 "Spiritrinket" card from your Graveyard into your Deck instead, and if you do, your opponent must banish 1 card from their hand at random.

●Discard 1 "Spiritrinket" monster from your hand instead, and if you do, your opponent must shuffle all cards from their Graveyard into the Deck.

Bump.

 

I can't figure out what to do regarding the final boss, the Divine Neos, as it were. I had a thought of quadruple-Fusions, I had thought of adding an effect similar to Malicious Fiend's, I had thought of something sorta like Neos Wiseman, maybe making it have Vennominaga's absurd level of protection . . . just something at least more worth the effort than the disappointment that was Divine Neos.
