Tinkerer
Hello, fine peoples! Decided to run with this prompt today: Terminus ArchetypeAn archetype of LIGHT Rock-Types that, while their 0/0 stats seem useless and their "Cannot be Special Summoned" clause seems restrictive, have a great deal of power. As long as their stats remain 0/0, they can't be touched by battle or effects. The monsters are based on sections of a bust, And if you control "Terminus Pedestal," "Terminus Torso," and "Terminus Head," you can use them to Fusion Summon "Terminus, the God of Boundaries." Ironically, the god makes his own boundaries, changing the very rules of the game in addition to the prior clause of its fusion materials. The great thing: If Terminus lands a direct attack, you can reduce our opponent's life points to 0.So... Yeah. 'twas actually quite fun to make though difficult to balance. As always, CnC much appreciated![spoiler Monsters]Terminus PedestalLIGHT **Rock/EffectCannot be Special Summoned. While this card's ATK and DEF are 0, "Terminus" monsters you control cannot be destroyed (by battle or by card effect). If this card would be destroyed while face-down, you can flip this card into face-up defense position to negate that effect and return that card to its owner's deck.0/0Terminus TorsoLIGHT ***Rock/EffectCannot be Special Summoned. While this card's ATK and DEF are 0, "Terminus" monsters you control cannot be targeted (for attacks or card effects). If this card is targeted while face-down, you can flip this card into face-up defense position to negate that effect and return that card to its owner's hand.0/0Terminus HeadLIGHT ****Rock/EffectCannot be Special Summoned. While this card's ATK and DEF are 0, you can activate this card's (1) effect once per turn.(1)You can discard 1 card; add 1 "Terminus" monster from your Deck to your hand (except "Terminus Head") and if you do, this card's effects become the added monster's effects until your next Standby Phase. If this card is removed from the field by your opponent's attack or card effect, you can Special Summon 1 "Terminus" monster from your Deck in face-down defense position (ignoring its summoning conditions).0/0[spoiler Extra Deck]Terminus Demigod 1LIGHT 5*Rock/Fusion/EffectTerminus Pedestal + Terminus TorsoYou cannot Special Summon this card except by Fusion Summon by using the above materials on the field or using "Terminus Restructuring". All "Terminus" monsters gain 1000 ATK for each "Terminus" monster you control. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 non-fusion "Terminus" monster from your Graveyard, ignoring its summoning conditions. If you do, this card's effects are negated until your next Standby Phase.0/0Terminus Demigod 2LIGHT 6*Rock/Fusion/EffectTerminus Pedestal + Terminus HeadYou cannot Special Summon this card except by Fusion Summon by using the above materials on the field or using "Terminus Restructuring". All "Terminus" monsters gain 1000 ATK for each "Terminus" monster you control. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 non-fusion "Terminus" monster from your Graveyard, ignoring its summoning conditions. If you do, this card's effects are negated until your next Standby Phase.0/0Terminus Demigod 3LIGHT 7*Rock/Fusion/EffectTerminus Torso + Terminus HeadYou cannot Special Summon this card except by Fusion Summon by using the above materials on the field or using "Terminus Restructuring". All "Terminus" monsters gain 1000 ATK for each "Terminus" monster you control. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 non-fusion "Terminus" monster from your Graveyard, ignoring its summoning conditions. If you do, this card's effects are negated until your next Standby Phase.0/0Terminus, the Deity of BoundariesLIGHT *Rock/Fusion/EffectTerminus Pedestal + Terminus Torso + Terminus HeadYou cannot Special Summon this card except by Fusion Summon by using the above materials on the field or using "Terminus Restructuring". All "Terminus" monsters (except "Terminus, the Deity of Boundaries") can be Special Summoned. At the end of the damage step, if this card battles a monster, swap the ATK of this monster and the attack target. This card cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. If this card attacks your opponent directly and inflicts battle damage, you can reduce your opponent's LP to 0.0/0[spoiler Spell]Terminus RestructuringSpellYou can only activate 1 "Terminus Restructuring" per turn. (1) Activate one of the following effects:-Fusion Summon 1 "Terminus" monster using monsters you control.-Tribute 1 "Terminus Demigod" monster; Special Summon 1 "Terminus Demigod" monster from your Extra Deck (this Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon) in defense position.-Tribute 1 "Terminus Demigod" monster and 1 non-Fusion "Terminus" monster that is not listed on the Terminus Demigod as material; Special Summon 1 "Terminus, the Deity of Boundaries" from your Extra Deck or Graveyard.(2) During either player's turn, if a "Terminus" monster you control is sent to the Graveyard while this card is in the Graveyard: you can target that monster; return this card to the Deck, and if you do, Special Summon that target. ChampionZero
Well, as the person who wrote that prompt: great job! You went further than I thought this archetype could go, making it actually worth using in a Duel. The fragments are designed to be impenetrable, and the clause you added to the monsters that summon each other makes them more techable overall. Not to mention the boss is extra effective in most scenarios, even if it is defeatable by a monster with lower ATK once it fights. That could, of course, be fixed by adding another Terminus fragment to your field. Head is extremely useful for keeping your field stocked with fragments that will keep your opponent from touching your monsters. Restructuring is good, effective and varied at the same time, allowing for fast and easy fusions and recycling. I think you forgot to write down Terminus Death's ATK/DEF.
