時空竜王 タイムロック・ドラゴン [Toyo's Daily Cards 5/30]

Recommended Posts

A mysterious being called via the phenomenon known as 'Chaos Xyz Summon'. Majestic, yet destructive, the full extent of its power nor motivations is not yet known, however it holds the title 'Emperor of Space-time'. Witnesses describe it as being a metallic, golden dragon with powers that dilute, interrupt, and even stop the flow of time. It was most recently observed intervening in a heated battle, reversing the cause and effect of a certain other golden dragon, before banishing it into the nether of space-time.

-Excerpt from the Akashic Records, Report #2900 - addendum 2.5

"It is an emperor, and a supreme destroyer."

[spoiler=Stats]

Space-time Emperor Dragon, Timelock Dragon

EARTH/Dragon/Xyz Rank 9 2900/2500

2 Level 9 Monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 5 or higher Xyz Monster with exactly 2 Xyz Materials attached to it and by banishing banishing 1 card in your hand. Once per turn, you can target up to 4 cards in either player's graveyard; Banish OR Return those targets to the bottom of the owner's deck. Once per turn, during either player's turn when a face-up card on the field activates its effects that would resolve on the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Negate that effect, and if you do, banish that card until the end of this turn

Well, as much as I hate cards that can go into themselves, this one atleast has a banishing requirement as well as the exact 2 Xyz Materials requirement. I guess that it's acceptable considering that you can't continuously have this card go into itself within the same turn, without utilizing a decent amount of resources.

The first Once per Turn effect could be beneficial in more than one way, considering it gives you the choice to cycle your own resources or remove threats from your opponent's Graveyard. Not only that, it could get staples such as Raigeki or even Extra Deck monsters that you would need back into your Deck for you to use. Good job there.

The last effect acts similarly to Contrast Hero Chaos, except it allows the negation and a bonus Farfa effect that keeps the negated card off the field until the end of the turn. I would be slightly worried by this effect because of how fast the game is going now, but in retrospect, it's still a fair card with the strict requirements to build it.

I can't think of any decks that would abuse this. It seems like a good card, so good job... I guess? ;P

Just kidding, good job Toyoala. =D
