[AGM] Brethren of the Scythe: Xyz Summon by breaking all the rules!

When this card is activated: You can add 1 Level 2 or 4 DARK monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Scythe Caller - Vikat" per turn. If this card is destroyed by a card effect: You can target 1 "Brethren of the Scythe" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, also you cannot Special Summon for the rest of the turn, except of "Brethren of the Scythe" monsters.

When this card is activated: You can add 1 Level 4 or lower DARK monster from your Deck to your hand. You cannot Summon monsters with the same name as the added card the turn you activated this effect. You can only activate 1 "Scythe Caller - Sabit" per turn. If this card is destroyed by a card effect: You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; attach this card to that target as Xyz Material.

When this card is activated: You can add 1 Level 3 or 4 DARK monster from your Deck to your hand. If this card is destroyed by a card effect: You can draw 1 card. You can only activate each effect of "Scythe Caller - Chalg'i" once per turn.

When this card is activated: You can add 1 Level 1 or 2 DARK monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Scythe Caller - Gerandi" per turn. If this card is destroyed by a card effect: You can target 1 "Brethren of the Scythe" monster and 1 "Scythe Caller" Spell in your Graveyard; Shuffle both targets into your Deck. You cannot place cards on the field with the same name as those targets during the turn you activate this effect.

2 Level 4 Warrior-Type monsters
If a Warrior-Type monster you control is targeted by a card effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that effect, and, if you do, you can Special Summon 1 "Bretheren of the Scythe" monster from your Graveyard. If this card is destroyed: You can target 1 Spell/Trap on either side of the field; Destroy them.

2 Level 4 DARK monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Spell Card and monster in your Graveyard; Shuffle them into your Deck, then draw 1 card. Once per turn, if this card is targeted for an attack: You can change this card's battle position; Negate that attack, and, if you the only monsters you control are Warrior-Type monsters (min. 2), end the Battle Phase. If this card is destroyed: You can target 1 Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it to your side of the field, also it cannot be as Material for a Summon, except the Xyz Summon of a Warrior-Type monster.

(This card is always treated as having a Rank of 1.)
Once per turn, if your opponent activates a card or effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate it, and if you do, destroy it, then your opponent destroys 1 card on the field other than a "Bretheren of the Scythe" monster, if possible. Cannot be targeted by card effects. If this card is destroyed: You can target 1 Xyz Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, also attach this card to that target as an Xyz Material.

 



[spoiler=Prompt]Brethren of the Scythe is an archetype like Brotherhood of the Fire Fist. Each one of the five continuous spells search out a member, but instead of searching a beast-warrior, they search dark warriors. The Warriors themselves can be counted as 2 materials in the Xyz summon of their member monsters. Convenient seeing as how the only require 2 materials. The boss monster however requires 10 materials, or 5 Scythes and acts like an extreme Master of Blades, negating activations of card effects, then randomly destroying a card your opponent controls.


 
I feel I could add so much more to the archetype, but don't want to add more if I've made mistakes with the concept, as it could create some serious problems. Text beneath is most updated, unless the actual stats of a card need to be changed. Thoughts?

Okay first of all, love the artworks. Especially for the Scythe Callers.

 

Second of all, these need some serious restrictions or they could easily let you spam Rank 4s all day long. You can also set up a combo to get all of the Brethren monsters out by just Summoning Bha'u. Ex: Have Arreba and Saudara already in the grave, Summon Bha'u, SS Saudara (which is now Lv 4), Saudara SSs M'Bale from hand (which is now also Lv 4), and finally SS Arreba from grave targeting Bha'u. That's 4 monsters out of the price of 1.

 

And the whole "treat itself as 2 Materials" wasn't carried over into the OCG/TCG, and was instead replaced with that, any monster who had such an effect in anime, SSs another copy of itself.

 

I would add a restriction to the Main Deck monsters that they can only be used for DARK or Warrior-Type Xyz's, and make the Xyz Monsters generic. And maybe make Chua-Te Xyz Evolutionable onto a Brethren Xyz Monster, and remove its last effect altogether.

 

With that being said, this is a good Xyz engine, but it needs a few restrictions, otherwise it can be too abusable.

Changes have been made! I've made the Main Deckers restricted to Warrior-Types, as the only big beaters you are getting out of that are now UTL and Rhongobongo.

 

And maybe make Chua-Te Xyz Evolutionable onto a Brethren Xyz Monster, and remove its last effect altogether.

 

That was an idea I had, but the prompt I was given did say 10 mats, and I felt that should be the only way to Summon it. Besides, I feel its far too fast to be able to Xyz Summon this onto 1 Xyz Monster Summoned from 1 monster.

Ahem! Well y'know RoTA is limited for a reason right? and its a Level/Type restricted, while Scythe Caller are Level/Attribute restricted which in theory, has more wide variety of cards that can be searched than RoTA, ik its continuous and ik MST exist, but still, that 2nd eff make up for it so, even if it gets negated>destroyed or MST'd (only destroyed) at least Scythe Caller always give you eff, while lets say Tenki, its 2nd eff is ATK booster and just +100 ATK, if it get MST'd, *boom*

 

Simple example of abuse:

> Sabit : Can search Ghostrick (since they can be Set anyway, or something that resolves in hand and mostly during opp turn like Mary or Jack Frost) and BW can search Kalut (dont need to hit the field), Fluffy can search Edge Imp and use it for Fusion Mat, D/D can search Swirlal Slime or Necro Slime, etc etc etc

> Chalg'i/Kosa : GK's, BW, Kozmoll Wickedwitch, Magician's Rod, D/D Savant Kepler and more you name it.

> Kerandi : Doppelwarrior, Lunalight White Rabbit etc etc etc

 

Even if you limit to search "add 1 DARK [Level] Warrior-Type", E-HERO Shadow Mist, Armageddon Knight, Dark Grepher, PK's exist so yea . . . .

 

Maybe you can put another limitation like . . . "add 1 DARK [Level] Warrior-Type with with 1200 DEF"  but well again, PK's has Silent Boots sadly (1200 DEF), and the same goes with Armageddon Knight (1200 DEF). But hey, atleast the list been narrowed down!

 

As for monsters, no need to say more (i think?), Krazzy Krissy already done it for ya.
