shadowsapex
You get free OCG because I feel like it.You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard) by banishing 1 "Shadow Dragoon" monster from your Graveyard. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with this card. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; banish it.It's an okay effect, gets around all the floater s/ts of this meta. Maybe not worth the minus, but this deck seems graveyard oriented so far.You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard) by banishing 1 "Shadow Dragoon" monster from your Graveyard. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with this card. Once per turn: You can send 1 "Shadow Dragoon" card from your Deck to the Graveyard; this card gains 500 ATK this turn.Sets up your graveyard, and 2100 is pretty decent, so it can beat over floaters with its banish effect. The fact that it sends cards instead of monsters made me hope that there was s/t support with graveyard effects; unfortunately, there is not.You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard) by banishing 1 "Shadow Dragoon" monster from your Graveyard. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with this card. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card; Special Summon 1 banished "Shadow Dragoon" monster.Banish a Dragoon, special summon this, special summon the banished Dragoon. These are looking like a really potent rank 4 engine, kinda like lv4 Phantom Knights. Lack of hard opt troubles me.You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard) by banishing 1 "Shadow Dragoon" monster from your Graveyard. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with this card.Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it.A bit meh. Doesn't further combos and targeting destruction is weak nowadays. Not to say it won't be helpful in a lot of scenarios though. And with all these discard effects, you'll run out of hand really quickly, even with the Yang Zing Path spell you got.You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or Graveyard) by banishing 1 "Shadow Dragoon" monster from your Graveyard. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with this card. Once per turn: You can pay 500 LP; return up to 3 of your banished "Shadow Dragoon" cards to your Graveyard. Its effect could make for some big combos, since 3 is 1.5 summons, and every one of these monsters have a way to put a Dragoon in your graveyard. So 2 summons, or 1 rank 4. At this point, the lack of hard opt is really troubling. Add 1 "Shadow Dragoon" monster from your Deck to your hand.Oh look, a ROTA.Send 2 "Shadow Dragoon" monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard; banish 1 card your opponent controls.Non-targeting banishing, and summon any Dragoon from your deck. As a spell. Kozmos at least have their non-targeting banishing as a trap, with a hard opt on it. This thing is just.. I don't think this deck even needs the ROTA with this card setting up all your plays.Pay 1000 LP; Shuffle 3 "Shadow Dragoon" monsters in your Graveyard or Banish Zone into your Deck, then draw 2 cards.Yang Zing Path, with a price. The +1 is helpful for a deck with so many discard effects. Should have a hard opt to prevent abuse.Special Summon 2 banished "Shadow Dragoon" monsters. Their effects are negated this turn, also you lose 1000 LP. You can only use 1 "Shadow Dragoon Ambush" per turn.Negating their effects for one turn does nothing since it's a trap. So it's basically Instant Fusion, but without negating their effects. At this point, I take back what I said about some of the destruction effects being underwhelming. You could take out most of your opponent's field with them. This deck is definitely a meta contender.Your opponent declares a number 1 through 5; send cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard, up to that number, then draw cards up to the number of "Shadow Dragoon" monsters sent to the Graveyard by this effect.Worthless, since your opponent can just declare 1, so they will.If your opponent activates an effect that would destroy "Shadow Dragoon" cards you control: Discard 1 card; negate that effect, and if you do, banish that card face-down.Does it only activate on the destruction of multiple cards? Because if it does, it's Huge Revolution with a discard cost, and this deck has enough discarding already. Even if it doesn't, I still wouldn't run it, since a floater deck doesn't have much to fear from monster destruction, and a swarm deck doesn't care unless they're getting field nuked. If this card is Xyz Summoned: Return all banished cards to your Graveyard. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with this card. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; send 2 "Shadow Dragoon" monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard, then add 1 of your banished "Shadow Dragoon" monsters to your hand.Does it return the opponent's banished cards too?Okay, pretend you banish 2 Dragoons to summon the materials for this card. When it's summoned, you return those two, so you can banish 1 of them to summon the other. Then with its effect, you detach a Dragoon to send 2 Dragoons and add your banished Dragoon. Banish 2, summon 2, make another Alec, repeat until you can otk or something. This needs a hard opt at the very least. If this card is Xyz Summoned: Add 1 "Shadow Dragoon" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with this card. If your opponent adds a card(s) from their Deck to their hand: You can draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of "Shadow Dragoon General-Suarez" once per turn. During your opponent's turn, if your opponent Special Summons exactly 1 monster: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; return that card to the hand. Its effect can add the spell cards. I really don't think it should. This archetype has a powerful pool of spell cards; the last thing they need to be is searchable.Going for a more control aspect with this monster, eh? Dunno how much use that would be, since the rest of this deck feels very swarm and otk. There is no once per turn on the last effect and there really should be.You can also Xyz Summon this card by using 1 "Shadow Dragoon" Xyz Monster you control as Xyz Material (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card). If this card has a "Shadow Dragoon" Xyz Monster attached to it as Xyz Material, it is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. Banish any monster destroyed by battle with this card face-down. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower DARK monster from your Deck. You can only use this effect of "Shadow Dragoon General-Sirius" once per turn.Making an effect this broad will almost always backfire. Either something exists to break this card, or something will exist in the future. That's what gets cards banned. Special Summoning a Dragoon from your deck should be fine.Unaffected makes this card more of a pain than Dark Destroyer. It's super duper easy to get out, and your opponent will run out of Utopias and Diamond Crabs before you run out of this. There's literally no downside to summoning this. When you're done with your xyz monsters, just turn them into a 3k unaffected beater that also grabs something out of your deck. It's way broken. And that's without considering the fact that it can use itself as xyz material. Which is just ridiculous. In conclusion, this deck looks tier 1, maybe tier 0. A lot of things need hard opts, Alec in particular, since he can make loop-esque combos that are just silly. 4/10, 6/10 with a hard opt for Alec. TF2_The_Scout
Hard opts have been applied, added an s/t with a graveyard effect, and edited Sirius's effect.
shadowsapex
Okay that trap is splashable and will basically lock your opponent out of the game turn after turn, with few viable ways to get rid of it. Every turn it's in the graveyard? Seriously? Yeesh. It even works on S/Ts.
