- During either player's turn: You can declare 1 card name; if that card is in your opponent's hand, they must discard 1 copy of it, then Special Summon this card from your hand. Otherwise, banish this card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Memory Eater" once per turn.

 

Thoughts? Impact on the metagame? Worth main/side deck slots? Should it be a Level 3 or 4, or maybe EARTH Attribute? Is being an E-Tele target too powerful?

Nothing wrong with it, but maybe change the wording. Being an E-Tele target doesn't do that much for this card, since it isn't a tuner and wouldn't be able to pull off any quick Rank 3 Xyzs.

Adding the Hard OPT would reduce the risk of abuse. After all, it is possible to force your opponent for a -3 if you know what they're playing.

 

Then again, the chances of drawing 3 of this is quite low. It's really up to you if you believe a hard OPT is needed. This card wouldn't be that OP even if you have the possibility of dropping 3 from an opponent's hand.

 

But who knows, Monarchs might enjoy this more than the other decks.
