Premier Alexander Romanov
Spell/Quick-Play Special Summon 1 “Performapal Hip Hippo” from your hand, Deck or Graveyard. Afterwards, Special Summon as many “Hippo Tokens” (Beast-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) as possible. These Tokens cannot be Tributed. If you have a “Hippo Token” in a Monster Zone, you cannot Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck. If you Special Summoned “Hippo Tokens” with this effect, until the turn ends, your opponent cannot attack monsters other than “Hippo Tokens”.WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN

heraldry_lord
WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN Why are you being so dramatic? It's an anime card, and it makes one of Yuya's more well-known cards useful for stalling.
Azuriena
Tokens to clog your opps field that prevent them from ssing from extra. ÆƵ–
It does say as many as possible, so I would think it would mean to the opps field too while they have open spaces.
Azuh
Damn you ninja'd me :P It seems like an ok card for what it does. Unfortunately I don't know why they even decided to change Hip Hippos effect from the anime because it's current effect is so bad. Its not even usable with this care since it needs to be Normal Summoned to use its effect

Atypical-Abbie
It does say as many as possible, so I would think it would mean to the opps field too while they have open spaces.Unless it says opponent's field it doesn't do that. It's only for your own field. Card is interesting, swap with opponent could be neat, Tribute Summon with the Hip Hippo.
~British Soul~
It could help to stop your opponent pushing for game, by stalling with those tokens; other than that it's pack filler.
Hallohallo
So the effect is almost exactly the same from anime. I was expecting this to get released, but not with the same effect.
Sleepy
So it is an improved version of that other Hippo Spell that came out back when Pendulums debuted.Doesn't have to be 4 TokensBrings out the back then iconic Yuya's Hippo Other than that it is the same. I quite like the improvements. Between this, the old Hippo Spell, and Scapegoats, Token Sundae has a better time with this card. Destroy 4 cards, keep the Hippo, and unlock your Extra Deck and Tributes back, win win? Pack filler, but fun pack filler. This is how that old Hippo Spell should have been. Well, actually... the "must attack the tokens" effect could use some "doesn't wear off during the end phase" if the restraining Tributes and Summons does stay forever while they are up. Taylor Gorrell
you cannot Special Summon monsters from your Extra Deck.So if it can't clog the opponent's field, this card is borderline useless. #CoasterForMyDrink

Ryusei the Morning Star
Guys this honestly isn't bad, it can easy stop your from losing a game and just pen summon Wizard from hand to clean out the tokenz
Tinkerer
The tokens I don't care about that much. What does get me about this card is that it summons 1 completely unrestricted monster from anywhere to be used as you wish. Despite that monster being Hip Hippo, that is still a powerful tool. What does get me about this card is that it summons 1 completely unrestricted monster from anywhere to be used as you wish. Despite that monster being Hip Hippo, that is still a powerful tool. The tokens are gonna be kind of an issue because rather than just not being usable for Summons, they outright prevent you from Summoning from the Extra Deck with anything else too.Though mostly, I quoted the post to say you reminded me of a Trap that also Summoned a monster from anywhere for you to do anything with it... only this Hippo card is overall more powerful than that card for Speed Warrior... Oh good times.
SirReal
So apparently, summoning the tokens is optional, meaning this is a 4 card engine that summons a level 3 Earth monster on demand and also can stall during the opponent's turn. These Tokens cannot be Tributed. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck while a "Hippo Token" is in a Monster Zone. For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, if you Special Summoned a "Hippo Token" by this effect, your opponent cannot target monsters for attacks, except "Hippo Tokens". so yeah, this is now a good card, because it is, as said, a 4-card Level 3 engine.
