Also, its design was just something else entirely . . . but, due to the popularity of other monsters, SND got the shaft. NO MORE! Here I have an archetype dedicated to SND, or, rather, a retrain: [spoiler=Main Deck Monsters]Coiled Serpent Night DragonDARK - Level 7 - Dragon/Effect - 2350/2400When this monster is Summoned successfully, you can add 1 "Serpent Night" monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand: you can only activate this effect of "Coiled Serpent Night Dragon" once per turn. DARK Dragon-Type monsters you control gain ATK equal to double the difference between their original ATK and DEF. Runic Serpent Night Dragon DARK - Level 7 - Dragon/Effect - 2300/2450If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this monster from your hand in Defense Position. This monster can attack twice per Battle Phase. If anything is overpowered (I have a bad habit of doing this with my bosses), please suggest possible fixes. Offhandedly, if you could come up with an ideal decklist/ one of those flowchart things people made for RR 2.0 and Shadoll HERO, that'd be great, and I would probably give you Points or something. I'll give a short commentary on some of the cards now, because I'm too annoyed to rewrite that review now. Anyhow, most of the monsters are in need of some HOPT (Specifically the ones which search and/or draw), and that monster which draws 2 on battle damage needs to be reduced to one. The Pendulum Restriction effect which needs your monsters to have high DEF in order to Pendulum Summon needs a requirement/cost to be in effect, and the monsters which return cards to the hand with 0 DEF need to target, and possibly even make it only work on one card each turn. The field is just weak. You won't be using the second effect, and the first effect by itself is....eh....just basic. The continuous’ last clause I find is….weird. So it can only be used for Xyz Summons, and is literally unaffected by anything else? The Counter I find a little underpowered. It is not good at being a counter, and just either slightly hinders your opponent or prevents them from summoning a few monsters. There so many cards in this archetype; it’s rather daunting. I’ll comment on the Extra Deck tomorrow, hopefully in a more detailed way. With all that being said, I love the idea behind these cards. Draconus297 Posted January 30, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 30, 2016 Made fixes to the searchers, and "Runic Serpent Night Distortion Dragon" now only gets 1 draw off an attack. The last clause of the Continuous makes it so that, just in case you Summoned a Level 7 or lower DARK Dragon without an effect (Serpent Night, Red-Eyes, etc) your opponent can't do jack about it for a turn. In basic form:"Coiled" members add consistency via searches, and pump up your stats (except Coiled Distortion, which does burn damage because I was admittedly out of ideas). "Runic" members SS themselves and have an effect based around the number 2 (2 attacks, 2 draws, works as 2 Tributes, etc.) "Ebon" members chomp away at your opponent's monsters' defenses, and bounce them when there's nothing left to chomp at. "Sinister" members allow you to regain lost monsters, and the stronger ones help protect what they reclaim. "Distortion" indicates that a member is a Pendulum, "- Advanced" indicates an Xyz, "Deity" indicates a Synchro. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
