The Nyx Avatar
This is a collaboration between me and Draconus297. The premise:A group of DARK and LIGHT Union Fairies and Spellcasters, with heavy focus on bringing out pairs simultaneously. Massive Pendulum and Synchro support, but the true "boss" of the Deck, Penumbral Fair Eclipse Ringmaster, is something akin to BLS Envoy, requiring you to give up one of each. The Deck focuses on self-bouncing to mess up your opponent's day. Balance is likely questionable to say the least, but this is no final cut, so feel free to offer suggestions of balance. [spoiler=Show Monster Cards] LORE:Once per turn, if this monster is equipped with a card, you can return that card to your hand and toss a coin until you get tails: Lower the ATK and DEF of all monsters your opponent controls by 200 times the number of coins you tossed. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a "Penumbral Fair" monster you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. Once per turn, if a monster equipped with this card would be targeted by a card effect: you can change the target to any other face-up card on the field. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.) LORE:This monster can be used as Synchro Material with the monster it is equipped to if it is equipped to a monster. Once per turn, if this monster is equipped with a "Penumbral Fair" Union monster, you can return that card to your hand, draw 1 card, and reveal it to your opponent. If that card is a "Penumbral Fair" card, you can draw 1 additional card OR return 1 card to your opponent's hand. Once per turn, you can equip this card from your hand or side of the field to a "Penumbral Fair" monster you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. If a monster equipped with this card battles, you can return the opposing monster to your opponent's hand without conducting damage calculation (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.) LORE:This monster is also always treated as DARK and Fairy-Type. You can Special Summon this monster from your hand or Graveyard by Tributing 3 "Penumbral Fair" monsters you control. Other monsters you control cannot declare an attack. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can return 1 "Penumbral Fair" card you control to the hand; negate the activation a Spell Card, and if you do. send it to the Graveyard. When this card leaves the field: You can add 1 "Penumbral Fair" Spell/Trap Card from your Graveyard to your hand. Pendulum Effect:Once per turn, while you control no monsters: You can pay 1000 Life Points; Special Summon 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster with a different name from your Deck. If you do, you cannot Pendulum Summon this turn. Monster Effect:Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a "Penumbral Fair" monster; this effect cannot be negated. When your opponent Special Summons a monster: You can return 1 other "Penumbral Fair" monster to your hand and shuffle the Special Summoned monster into the Deck. You can only activate this effect of "Penumbral Fair Juggler" once per turn. Pendulum Effect:Once per turn: You can return 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster you control to the hand; banish 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field. Monster Effect:Once per turn, if this monster is equipped with a "Penumbral Fair" card, you can return that card to your hand and gain 1000 Life Points. Once per turn, you can equip this card from your hand or side of the field to a "Penumbral Fair" monster you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.) Pendulum Effect:You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Penumbral Fair" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. "Penumbral Fair" monsters are unaffected by your opponent's Trap effects. During each of your End Phases: Pay 800 Life Points or destroy this card. Monster Effect:You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing, but its original ATK becomes 1400. Once per turn, if this monster is equipped with a "Penumbral Fair" card, you can return that card to your hand and shuffle 1 card on the field into the Deck. You can only activate this effect of "Penumbral Fair Performer" once per turn. Once per turn, you can equip this card from your hand or side of the field to a "Penumbral Fair" monster you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.) Pendulum Effect:Once per turn: You can return 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster you control and 1 card your opponent controls to the hand. Monster Effect:Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a "Penumbral Fair" monster; this effect cannot be negated. Once per turn: You can equip this card with a "Penumbral Fair" Union monster from your hand or Graveyard. Pendulum Effect:You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Penumbral Fair" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. Monster Effect:When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Penumbral Fair" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. A monster equipped with this card gains 800 ATK. Once per turn, you can equip this card from your hand or side of the field to a "Penumbral Fair" monster you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.) Pendulum Effect:Once per turn, if an Union monster you control returns to your hand, you can send 1 random card from your opponent's hand to their Graveyard; that card cannot activate card effects in response to this effect. Monster Effect:If, during either player's Main Phase 1, all monsters you control (min. 1) are "Penumbral Fair" monsters, you can Special Summon this monster from your hand. If this monster is equipped with a card, it inflicts piercing Battle Damage. Once per turn, if this monster is equipped with a "Penumbral Fair" Union monster: you can return that Union monster to your hand and look at the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck, then place them in any order on top or bottom of your opponent's Deck. Pendulum Effect:You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Penumbral Fair" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. Monster Effect:This face-up monster in your Extra Deck is treated as Level 4. If your opponent inflicts 1000 or more damage to your Life Points, you can Special Summon this monster from your hand: flip all cards your opponent controls face-down, and they cannot be flipped face-up until after your next Main Phase 2 (This effect can only be activated if there are 4 or more total "Penumbral Fair" cards in your Graveyard and/or Banished Zone. This effect of "Penumbral Fair Hypnotist" can only be activated once per turn). Once per turn, if this monster is equipped with an "Penumbral Fair" card: You can return this card and the card(s) that are equipped with to your hand: The next card or effect your opponent activates is negated. Pendulum Effect:"Penumbral Fair" monsters cannot be destroyed by the attacks or effects of monsters your opponent controls with 1900 or less DEF. Monster Effect:When this monster is equipped with "Penumbral Fair" card, you can add 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster from your Graveyard to your hand. If your opponent would activate a card or effect that would destroy 1 or more "Penumbral Fair" monsters you control, you can lower the Level of this card by 1 to negate that card or effect. You can only activate this effect once per turn. If this monster becomes Level 0 by this effect, destroy it, and you cannot Pendulum Summon this turn (if you have already Pendulum Summoned this turn, ignore this effect). If this monster is used as Synchro Material for a "Penumbral Fair" Synchro monster, or as Tribute for the Normal or Special Summon of "Penumbral Fair Eclipse Ringmaster", your opponent cannot negate that Summon. [spoiler=Show Spell Cards] LORE:Once per turn, during either player's turn: If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, it is not destroyed. LIGHT and Spellcaster-Type monsters you control gain 400 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 DARK monster you control: Destroy this card, and activate 1 "Penumbral Fair - Moonlight" from your hand or Graveyard. LORE:Unaffected by your opponent's Monster Card effects. Once per turn, if you Pendulum Summon 2 or more "Penumbral Fair" monsters in the same turn: You can pay 1000 Life Points; return 1 card your opponent controls to the bottom of their Deck. All monsters lose 400 ATK and DEF, except DARK and Fairy-Type monsters you control. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 LIGHT monster you control: Destroy this card, and activate 1 "Penumbral Fair - Daylight" from your hand or Graveyard. LORE:Add 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster from your Deck to your hand. LORE:You can only activate this card when you control at least 3 face-up "Penumbral Fair" monsters and your opponent controls a Special Summoned monster. Equip that monster to a face-up "Penumbral Fair" monster you control, as an Equip Spell Card with the following effect: The equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle. [spoiler=Show Trap Cards] LORE:Each time a "Penumbral Fair" card is returned to the hand: You can place 1 Penumbral Counter on this card. This card gains effects based on the number of Penumbral Counters on it.● 1 or more: If this card would be destroyed by a card effect: You can remove 1 Penumbral Counter from this card instead.● 2 or more: Once per turn: You can remove 2 Penumbral Counters from this card; Special Summon 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster from your hand.● 3 or more: Once per turn: You can remove 3 Penumbral Counters from this card; Special Summon 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster from your Graveyard or Banished Zone.● 4 or more: Once per turn: You can remove 4 Penumbral Counters from this card; Special Summon 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster from your Deck. LORE:LORE:Activate when your opponent activates a Trap or Effect Monster's effect: Return 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster you control to your hand; negate the activation, and if you do, banish that card. [spoiler=Show Synchro Monster Cards] LORE:1 "Penumbral Fair" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersOnce per turn, during either player's turn: You can return 1 face-up "Penumbral Fair" monster from your side of the field to your hand, then Special Summon 1 "Penumbral Fair" monster from your hand or face-up in your Extra Deck. Your opponent cannot activate monster effects in response to this effect. Once per turn, you can equip this card to a "Penumbral Fair" monster you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped, when a card is returned from the field to your hand, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the equipped monster's Level x 200. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, this card is destroyed instead.) Pendulum Effect:Once per turn, if a "Penumbral Fair" monster would inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points, you can return 1 "Penumbral Fair" card you control to your hand to double that damage. Monster Effect:1 "Penumbral Fair" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersDuring your Main Phase: You can place this card in an empty Pendulum Card Zone. Once per turn, if your opponent would inflict damage to your Life Points: You can return 1 "Penumbral Fair" card you control to your hand; reduce the damage to 0. If this monster is equipped with a "Penumbral Fair" Union monster, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to damage you would have taken. Pendulum Effect:Once per turn, during either player's turn: When your opponent activates an Effect Monster's effect(s): You can return 1 "Penumbral Fair" card you control to the hand; negate the effect, and if you do, banish that card. Monster Effect:1 "Penumbral Fair" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersDuring your Main Phase: You can place this card in an empty Pendulum Card Zone. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can activate 1 of the following effects:● Equip 1 Union monster to an appropriate monster you control.● Unequip 1 Union monster to Special Summon it. Pendulum Effect:Once per turn, during either player's turn: If your opponent would Special Summon a monster or activate a card effect that would Special Summon a monster: You can return 2 "Penumbral Fair" cards you control to the hand; negate the effect, and if you do, banish that card.Monster Effect:1 "Penumbral Fair" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Penumbral Fair" monstersDuring your Main Phase: You can place this card in an empty Pendulum Card Zone. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can return 1 "Penumbral Fair" card you control to your hand; this card is unaffected by your opponent's card effects this turn. ~Faytl~
Seem really strong, especially since you lose little advantage when your Unions are destroyed, as they'll just go to the Extra Deck. Audience Volunteer seems a little silly, especially since it can only be used when you're likely in a winning position already. I'm not entirely sure what Fair Hypnotist's point is; Seems like she wouldn't be too useful unless you could return her in response to a card being activated to negate it, which the current wording doesn't allow. I like the flavor on these guys though, especially RIng Tosser. It's really weird, I posted my own archetype of Pendulum Union monsters in this forum yesterday. You guys clearly know what you're doing, I invite you to give feedback if you can: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/346325-faytls-extra-deck-project-02-insectoids-now-with-100-more-union/ Nice work, fellas. Thank you! Would you believe they were much stronger before posting? Originally, Hypnotist would be capable of negating two cards.
Draconus297
Actually, the funny thing is that Audience Volunteer can be done in a situation where you miraculously survived an OTK, you Pendulum back everything that died (plus anything you drew this turn), and eat the (likely SS'd) offender. Its text is supposed to read "when your opponent controls a Special Summoned monster", not "when your opponent a Special Summons monster". Weird, I thought that issue had been fixed before this went up. But yeah, there was a lot of fine-tuning that went into this.

I wanted to add a/some Spellcaster-Type Synchro Monster(s) to the archetype. So, I thought of making one that can play with the Union monsters. Draconus297
Swords Performer is OPT Bottomless in a Pendulum Zone . . . but has no way to get there. That's a fix you need to make. Otherwise, really solid new card.
