Damn, I'm annoyed.

I has hoping for Fiend-Type/EARTH. Another Wyrm archetype would have been really nice to see, as well.

At least they kept with the theme of using a rare Type/Attribute combination, so it's not too bad.

But I think Konami might need to take their Dragon suppressants again.

Now we just need to keep hoping the one-off archetype is Pyro.

I don't think morphage is a word...

It is now :)

What's the last set of good dragons they made? Do tell

So the fourth archetype after Igknights, Majespecter and Dynamist? Makes sense as the Dinos all hold the same pendulum effect, these hold the same monster effect.

Also, Amorphous means "not solid" or "lacking a definite shape or form".

As for their typing, I was kinda expecting this or Fiend (leaning more towards the latter because of the Dracoslayers), but tbh, it shouldn't be all that surprising. I mean, Warrior, Spellcaster, Machine, Dragon and (to a lesser extent) Fiend are/have been the 5 biggest/main types in the game and that's what I thought this series of Dracoslayerian Archetypes was about...

I expect its a combination of "Morph" or "Amorphous" and "phage"

Bacteriophage seems to make sense, since they kind of look like the image on that page.

Soooo guys...ritual you think? Field spell say Amorphage card not monster

Probably not, they already seem to have a boss monster in that Level 7. Plus, it saying card means nothing since it could be any form of Spell/Trap Cards.

It's a continuous spell.

I wouldn't be surprised. They need to keep in-theme and Rituals are the only one they haven't done yet, right?

That's probably their in-archetype boss. A ritual would probably come from the Dracoslayer side.

Well, this is strange, so it's a negative effect kind of deal, preventing your opponent from doing stuff, and they're also somewhat Flip Summon/Defense Position based? I wonder where this is going. Also, it's EARTH, if the rest are, my theory about the next Pendulum Arcehtype being EARTH will be correct.

Considering that Dracoslayers are LIGHT and Vector is DARK, this was pretty much implied already.

Amorphage Cavum

Earth Dragon / Pendulum / Effect

PS5 LV4 0/2050

Pendulum Effect:

During each of your Standby Phases, either Tribute 1 monster or destroy this card.

(1) If you control an “Amorphage” monster, neither player can activate effects in a chain.

Monster Effect:

(1) If this card was Pendulum or Flip Summoned, neither player can Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except “Amorphage” Monsters.

"neither player can activate effects in a chain."

Is it me or does that sound stupidly broken?? I presuming that basically gives every activated effect a "cards and effects cannot be activated in response" clause.

So RIP Chain Burn, Counter Trap decks, Ghost Ogre, CyDra Infinity... etc, etc

Yes, it is broken. It also happens to be a one-card PSYframe out as well (for what that's worth).

At this point though, I am not surprised.

I assume so, solemn still stop inherent summons tho! Atleast the opponent can't respond to you tho

It is a combination of amorphous and phage. If you'll look at the card arts, all of the creatures have bacteriophage viruses attached to their bodies. The cont spell shows the creation of more Amorphages, as the animals are being mutated by the phages attached to their bodies. So, I guess the viruses carry some kind of weird mutagenic DNA that splices them with dragons. *Shrugs*

They seem neat, and are trying pretty hard to be anti-meta. I just wonder what the Dracoslayer counterpart could be, if indeed these will be related to the Dracoslayers and not the Dracoverlords. Vector Pendulum's flavour text reads: "This Overlord overran an entire world with his army of Dracofiends, using his Dragon Alchemy to convert all life into his terrible minions. The source of this power is unidentified, and probably extra-dimensional." So, I wonder if these Amorphages are his Dracofiends, created by using the extra-dimensional dracteriophages. In fact, I would take it that the viruses themselves are the Amorphages, while the monsters are just their mindless puppets.

EDIT: Oh my freaking god look:

DOCS-EN024.jpg?1446869858

See it? His staff has a phage on it. These guys are Vector Pendulum's Dracofiends, controlled by his Amorphages.
