Yu-Gi-Oh! The Bound Hearts!

"AHHHHHHHHHH...hhhhh...hh...." The loud and quickly dimming sound of a man screaming in agony plagued the deserted dark alleyway. He lay motionlessly on the ground, eyes rolled to the back of his head and his body making no attempt to breath, the man was dead. Around him lay a spread out Deck, a clear sign the man had been dueling upon his loud struggle.  The light crackle of a man snickering at the incident was now the most prevalent sound in the area. The assumed opponent was a short fat man wearing  a black suit and top hat. The man's snicker grew louder and more eerie as he limped towards the man, the way the short man walked was a clear sign of some sustained leg and back injuries. The light snicker turned into a violent uproar of laughter causing him to hold his gut in an attempt to contain his content. The short creature then reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a blank card, he then proceeded to hold it towards the man causing a black fog to exert itself and pierce into the man's heart.

"Oh..." The short man began as a large grin surfaced on his stitched up and patched together face. "You....have alot.....of Duel...Energy..." The man seemed to struggle to speak as his words were slow and cracky. As the fog grew darker for a few moments it then diminished and returned back into the card. The man then placed it back into his suit pocket and began to turn to walk away.

"Oh...what's....this?" The individual turned to the deceased man and noticed an envelope in his pocket, he reached out, took the envelope out and opened it. Inside was an invitation to a "Road to Pro" Dueling Tournament held by the World Dueling Organisation. The note read:

"Duelist! You have been noticed among all Amateur Ranked Duelists across the World! Your success in the world of dueling and your abilities have all been recognized by the WDO! Upon deliberation it has been decided that you will be invited to compete in the Annual "Road to Pro Tournament!"

After Reading the note the man scrunched it up and put it in his pocket. "Road to.....Pro.......Hey?" The man then continued awkwardly walking and laughing in hysterics deeper into the dark alley.

(Cue Opening)

Day of the Road to Pro Tournament

Setting: Heirachy City, The Capital of the World and Heart of the Dueling Pro League.

Time of Day: 10am

Weather: Bright and Sunny.

A large city stood tall in the bright sunny day. An empty blue sky was contrasted by the large central area of the city that was flooded with 100's of people being escorted onto black and white hovering busses. The sounds of 100's of people talking in unison left only a small amount of attention to be obtained by the officials dressed in white suits  with the  caption "WDO" of their suit pockets, whom were attempting to organize the young adults onto their designated vehicles. Many of the individuals being escorted were young men and women ranging from 14-25. There were many personalities as one could tell from all the different appearances present however one thing remained consistent within each individual in the area, they were all Amateur Rank Duelists, preparing to compete in a tournament in the hopes of obtaining 1 of 7 Pro contracts.

After all the individuals were placed in their predetermined busses they headed out of the city and onto a long drawn out bridge that was poised over a large ocean bed. One of the hovering vehicles was a little different then the others. In it sat only 7 people all of whom varied greatly in appearance and assumingly in personality. After a short delay the vehicle's windows became closed and a large screen rose from the ground causing the innards of the bus to become dark and the driver to be blocked from view. Suddenly a tall individual appeared on the monitor. He had a single monocle and a slightly curly white mustache, the man was also very thing and wore an elegant black tuxedo and white gloves. The man emitted a slight smile as he began what seemed to be an introduction message.

"Good evening all Duelists present. If you are watching this then you have been selected fro a grand opportunity." His voice was light and soft but emitted a ray of confidence. "I am Walter D. and I welcome you to the Road to Pro Tournament. Based on your efforts over your years of dueling my scouts have detected a certain shine in you, consider yourselves lucky. This tournament will have 7 Pro Contracts up for grabs. For those of you who may not be aware, the Pro Dueling League is the main goal for any Duelist looking to make a career out of their skills. Its home to the 50 top Duelists in the world all of whom range drastically in demographics. Now the rules. This tournament is spread out into 2 Phases, the first will be on the island known as "Remorse Pinnacle", an abandoned Island rarely visited. We have set up this Dueling Tournament here to avoid all possible distractions that may arise. The conditions from moving from Phase 1 to Phase 2 will be explained on the island. Until then enjoy the trip."

The monitor then turned off the windows and screen however remained blackened and within a few mere seconds the monitor turned back on revealing the same elderly man.

"This message is solely directed at 2 busses. you all look eager to compete, this is good, by now i'm hoping your realize this is not a recording. All 14 of you are different from the rest of the competition. Show your skills early and you will advance to the next phase, however you will notice on your phones a message had just been received, enclosed in that message is the picture of your "Target Duelist" in order for you to progress to Phase 2 you will need to eventually win against your target, to allow no unnecessary advantages everyone's target is on the other bus. You 14 are the selected ones who we believe are most likely to progress. Please do your best, and before the finished designated time of Phase 1. Your target must be defeated regardless of your end record on the island. Anyone who loses to their target, will automatically be eliminated. This should be very entertaining. Good luck and Duel your best!" The monitor then once again turned off only this time the windows became unblocked and the screen descended back into the ground.

Has tension risen? Are the stakes to high? What competition will you meet? What relationships/rivalries will be formed? Your in the hovering vehicle with no end in sight of the bridge. Your target duelist isn't the only thing waiting for you on the island, a Pro Contract is up for grabs. Until the next post enjoy the trip.

TJ was sitting in the frontmost seat of the bus as the screen retracted. He turned in his seat to look at the other duelists on the bus. Despite being one of the tallest here, he was clearly one of the youngest. He felt his phone buzz in his pocket. 'Must be my target' he thought, continually studying the rest of the people on the bus. 'I wonder...'

Turning to the really short, pink-haired girl sitting across from him, he continued his question aloud "What kind of deck do you use?". No preamble, no introduction, but a query to sate his curiosity...temporarily.

Jessica's phone vibrated weakly in the pocket of her jean shorts as she eagerly listened to the thin man on the screen. "So... I'm important? Sweet! I can't wait to tell my little bro about this!" She stuck her fist up in the air as a sign of achievement. As soon as the monitor shut down she heard an older-looking man speak to the pink-haired woman on the other side of the bus. Ignoring the conversation, Jessica pulled her tiny phone out of her pocket, its dim light just barely allowing her to see what was on it. She received a text with nothing but the image of another person in it. 'My target! This is gonna be fun.' Closing her phone, Jessica then sat up straight, welcoming anyone to talk to her.

Naturally, David knew that he was special. These accommodations, however, were so terrible. They could at least serve honey roasted peanuts on this coach. He constantly adjusted himself trying to make the terrible seats more comforting. He even flicked the Windows a couple times expecting them to fall out. He sighed. "I should've taken my own private limo." he said to himself. He then took out his cards and skimmed over them. They were all in a foreign language and depicted stone monsters with wings wearing Celtic clothes. These were his exotic Gargoyle cards. True he lost more than he won, but when you're rich, the last thing on your mind is card games.

Quite frankly, Yukari Kawakami had no reason not to be excited. Here she was, on a bus to a proposed dueling field, about to reveal to the whole wide world how super special awesome a totally epic main protagonist she was that she could beat everyone on this bus and even more people. Of course, this wasn't to say sucb a thing could possibly happen. Nonetheless, Yukari's fascinating idealism knew no bounds, as she continued her vivid imagination of ultimate victory.

"♪♫The wheels on the bus go round and round,♫♪" Yukari began to sing to no-one in particular, "♪♫Round and round. Round and round. The wheels on the bus go round and round. Aaaaaaaaaall daaaaaaaaaay loooooooong. The people on the bus go yap yap yap. Yap yap yap. Yap yap yap. The people on the bus go yap yap yap. Aaaaaaaaall daaaaaaaaaaaay loooooooooooong.♫♪"

As she was singing in the most innocent of manners, one of the passengers had addressed Yukari specifically, asking her what kind of deck she used. However, Yukari wasn't entirely paying attention to the question at hand, as could be proven by the fact that she didn't even turn to the one that asked it. Instead...

"♪♫This one guy on the bus goes what deck d-♫♪... wait, whaaa?!" Yukari seemed almost shocked by the fact that someone had talked to her mid-song, which almost never happened to her since... ever, actually. Hence why she was distracted at first. However, she eventually got over it.

"Oh, hi there." Yukari greeted the passenger, "My name's Yukari, and I have this super special awesome deck that like, no-one can beat. I could even show everyone on the whole bus all the cards I have and tell them all the comboes I use and everything, and I'd still come out on top because that's how awesome it is!"

...

Just then, Yukari received a text message, containing only an image of a person. Presumably this was her target.

"Oooh, this guy; my arch nemesis," still in an excited manner, Yukari turned back to the person that she was talking to, "So what's your name, then?"

Unperturbed by Yukari's reaction though put out by her less-than-satisfactory answer to his question, TJ began to turn away when...

"So what's your name, then?"

TJ blinked slowly.  He took a deep breath before speaking. "My name is TJ.  This is the first time I have done an ev..." TJ paused, a bemused expression on his face as he glanced out the window, watching the bus speeding along, hovering slightly above the worn road. "How long do you think it will take to get there?" he asked aloud, not necessarily speaking to the girl he met, but expecting someone to provide an answer anyway.

"I'd say about fifteen minutes." David said, forcing himself into the conversation from the seat behind them. He continued to adjust himself in the seat. Damn, it was rough. He opened his phone and extended his other hand. "The name's David. Good to meet you." Talking to Yukari now, he continued "I must say miss, you're very cheerful. Your singing was the only source of entertainment this whole ride." Taking a look at his phone, he then said "Oh, this is my target. I wonder how much it'll cost to make this one forefeit." He then put away his phone and took out a wallet, counting the cash. "I suppose it'll have to do." he said putting the wallet away.

"Bribing your opponent's with money?!" Jessica slowly looked down. "As much as I hate it, it's something I know all too well about... I used to have to duel underground. God, that was such a rough place. Not only did I have to duel in those rough conditions to just to get enough cash to survive..." She paused for a moment, allowing all the horrible memories rushed in. "They were monsters... They'd to anything for money, even bribing me to throw the match, just for their fortune."

Turning to face the rich boy, Jessica pleaded directly at him. "Please, don't bribe your opponents. We're in this contest to show our skills, and I don't think anyone wants a 'duelist' running around handing out money so he can win it." Sighing, the brown-haired girl's face slowly returned to calmness. "Anyway, what's your name? I'm Jessica Brown."

The bus ride had been fairly lengthy. Things started out decently quiet; Adeen was able to look through her cards once or twice then spend a good amount of time on her phone playing games and overall just leaving well enough alone. The videos had gone on explaining a bunch of stuff she didn't really care about; the text message came in with the person that she was going to find and destroy.

"Why couldn't they just do this like a normal tournament," Adeen muttered to herself as she glanced over the picture before closing it immediately to get back to swiping numbers into numbers to make bigger numbers. Of course, then that stupid chick with the pink hair started singing really loud, and at first it was easy to just tune it out by listening to her own music, but that kid just kept singing louder and louder. Eventually, she started striking up an equally loud conversation with some dude on the bus that was like... trying to flirt with her or something? Who knows. Who cares. It was loud and annoying. Once she started going on about how nobody could beat her despite showing her all her cards, that's when Adeen whipped her earbuds off.

"You wanna bet, cheerleader? I'll take you right here and now!" Adeen piped up from a few seat behind Yukari.

OOC: ( This post was from my phone, when i het home to my laptop tomorrow i will post the next steps ie: arriving on the island and dueling)

Kye was seated at the back of the bus, hearing the message from the chairman of the WDO gave him no inspiration. Kye felt his phone vibrate in his pocket as the man said it would. He took it out and opened the message observing the contents inside.

"Hmph. Insect. This boy will be the main person I have to defeat, everyone else here though..none of them have realised the number of people on every other bus, why only us 7?" Kye thought to himself as he analyzed the situation at hand. After hearing the girl singing, bribary taunts from a rich kid, impatient people and a person with a big attitude, Kye felt smothered by all the personas around the room. Upon hearing of the underground dueling Kyes interest was peaked. He had sworn he heard something about underground dueling from his father in the past but he couldnt remember what.

"Looks like i was right to question this group, we are different." Kye said aloud to whoever wanted to hear. "I do believe though that alot of you still dont understand our situation...Dont worry." Kye then sighed and briefly smirked.

"Ill show you all just what you can acheive and what you cant when you cross paths with someone with an undefeated duelist record." Kyes purple eyes projected little about who he was he was as was his nature, he is a secretive person and hard to get through to.

TJ ignored David's offered hand as he continued to stare out the window.  There are many buses... he thought how am I supposed to know...?  He smiled as he bopped his forehead with the back of his hand and extracted his phone.  It was an old flip-phone, one that was sturdy and durable... and completely resisted all TJ's attempts to tinker with it.  He opened it to see that he had received a .JPG file, though, of course, he wasn't able to see an image.  However, the image's file name caught his attention: SPRT_Duelist_13.jpg.  Huh...

It was as TJ mused over this puzzling file name when an outburst from further back in the bus snapped him back into reality:

"You wanna bet, cheerleader? I'll take you right here and now!"

TJ turned to see another girl, earbuds dangling in her hand glaring angrily at Yukari.

TJ, huh? Yukari would have to remember that name. He seemed nice, and somewhat of a likable character. Still, he seemed disappointed by Yukari's answer, having garnered no information about what type of deck Yukari actually ran... except maybe that "it was a good one". Even then, however, it would've probably been smarter for Yukari to outright say that "it was a good one", instead of drawing attention to herself like that. Incidentally, an angry lass had taken the bait.

"You wanna bet, cheerleader? I'll take you right here and now!"

Yukari wasn't entirely surprised. Just a few seconds ago, she was singing the silliest song she could think of so loudly that someone was gonna be annoyed by it if not the entire bus. And now all of a sudden she decided to portray herself as a Mary Sue. So to some extent, the angry lass's actions were justified. But Yukari was not amused by having been called a cheerleader nonetheless; the puffed cheeks and childish pouting made that clear.

"How dare you cast me a role that barely qualifies as side character material?!" Yukari may have not actually been all that angry with the angry lass, but she certainly asked this loudly enough to be mistaken as such, "You've just made yourself a fine villain, lady. So prepare to face your punishment!"

With that, Yukari fully extended her Duel Disk, prepared to do battle with the angry lass right where they stood.

"Well, we're off to a good start." David laughed as he watched along the sideline. It was amusing to see such a sweet girl suddenly get so hostile. A fine villain? Punishment? It was like she thought she was an anime character. Taking his deck back out and shuffling it a little, he felt honestly jeleous of her. Why does she get to have all the fun? "It's such a shame that only she gets to have all the fun." he said.

Watching her, it was actually a good metaphor. She was like a corporate lawyer going before a court to defend her client. She clearly wouldn't take no for an answer and was stuck in her own little world. However, just like a lawyer, the slightest shift would destroy her. That could be her downfall too early. He wanted to make sure it was just them in the final round. There was someone screaming in the background about how they were undefeatable. Great, so you're good at playing cards. How wonderful. "We don't really care." David shouted back at whoever it was.

((OOC: Adeen's cheeks aren't puffed; she just has a round face))

"You've just made yourself a fine villain, lady. So prepare to face your punishment!"

Villain? But Adeen was just being annoyed by this prissy little princess that only wanted to make a fool of herself. Whatever, she was speaking Adeen's language when she accepted the challenge, and Adeen responded with a smirk. "You just entered a world of hurt, princess," Adeen replied, extending her own duel disk and placing her deck in the appropriate slot where it was promptly shuffled. Adeen vaguely recalled who this girl was; someone in the amateur circuit who was pampered as some freaking prodigy or something. Adeen never crossed paths with her, but she screamed "My male opponents let me win". Either way, this was going to be a rude wake-up call for the cheerleader.

"Ummm excuse me.." Came the stuttering voice of the Driver through the small speaker as he was aware of the growing tension situation. "We are about to arrive at Remorse Island...Please remain seated until we come to a complete stop..."

Noticeably they were approaching a large dark and glum looking island. The sky once a pale blue had now become a dark cloudy depressed sky, with light sprinkles of rain beginning to drop. As the flow of busses arrived on the broken up cement path that was the start of the island. The duelists all slowly exited their vehicles remaining in awe of what they were seeing, it was like a giant broken down city with few street lights flickering. The atmosphere was dead, everyone was quiet all questioning why they had been brought to such a depressing and abandoned part of the world. All the drivers then stood in a line in front of the herd of duelists. One of the men then took a step forward and announced out loud.

"Attention Duelists! If you follow us we will show you to your final address from Sir Walter D." The men then all turned and began walking in unison down the cement road. As the groups continued to walk down through the broken down city, they couldn't help but notice the amount of damage that had been done to this once skyscraper forged area. Modern buildings and stores with windows broken and parts of the structures missing. Eventually the group had arrived to a large open area with an enormous monitor about 20 meters in height and width at the end of the large area.

Setting: Remorse Island, Central District

Time of Day: 2:30pm

Weather: Cloudy, Rainy

Noticably the monitor began to flicker on and off, many of the duelists began to murmur to each other about the area when the monitor then maintained a constant video display. The same old man as on the previous messages was displayed again.

"Welcome everyone." He began as he then chuckled lightly. "Welcome to Remorse Island, the events that concern this areas past are not documented however we wanted you to duel in an isolated area, free from distraction. Now I will explain the terms of this tournament. You all have received your targets for the first Phase, you must defeat your target and 2 others to progress to the Second Phase. If you lose a match, you will be eliminated. Those are the only conditions to progressing, when you have obtained your 3 wins you will receive a message instructing you on how to get to the Second Phase. There are several areas in the island: Central, District or the place your in right now, South, The road you walked on leading here, East, leading to the Subway, West leading to the Plaza and North leading to the estate area. You may duel anywhere within these areas, we will start in 1 hour if you would like to duel before hand please do, however it will not go towards the tournament results. Good luck everyone." The monitor then turned off."

Many of the duelists were confused of the lack of information/direction but followed his words anyway, many people began spreading out over the areas observing the unusual environment they were in.

David laughed at this. Wasn't it obvious where they were? "I do believe we're at our intended destination." David said, slightly mocking him. He brushed his hair back and continued "Tell you what, if you get in trouble, I'll bail you out, okay?" David could already tell he was going to love this guy. He seemed really easy to annoy and that's a most tragic weakness and one to exploit. He then put on his solid gold duel disk with silver lining. "Do you like it? You could kill a werewolf with this thing." he said to his new favorite person. He then turned to face him. "Hey listen, no hard feelings. My name's David. Yours?" he asked while extending his hand for a shake. "I really don't plan on staying. There's a lot of good investment opportunities here that I can't miss out on."

Kye ignored the rich boy's comment, and began flicking one of his cards in between his fingers. in a way he could appreciate how he knew his own limits and how bribing was his only was of securing a spot in the Second Phase. Kye then began to laugh as a duel seemed to commence on the bus. "hahahahah." Kye laughed while clapping his hands. "Gogogo!" His excitement was then to no aveil as the driver seemed to diffuse the situation as they were arriving on the island. Kye sighed as he then stood up as the bus came to a stop. He began to walk off the bus whilst still flicking the card in between his fingers and whistling. He turned to the girl with pink hair and the other one who was yelling and said.

"Perhaps we'll get to see you'se duel on the island? I sure hope so." He then turned and continued walking off the bus. It was at this time the rich boy who just introduced himself as David extended his hand for a hand shake which Kye willingly smirked at and accepted. "Hey, if things weren't interesting then aside from Dueling what excitement would there be? Wow that duel disk is very impressive. The most valuable thing i possess is just this thing." Kye then hinted towards his purple gem necklace. "A rare crystal my father gave me." Kye then sighed. "Anyway we better head off let's see what we're in for." Kyes cheerful mood diminished as he saw both the sky and his surroundings. "wh-where are we?" he thought to himself.

Although Jess had made the big speech about underground dueling, no-one visually responded to it, even the rich boy, who, by listening to the other conversations on the way into the huge abandoned city, she found out was named David. Each bus of people was directed off of the vehicles and onto pitch black asphalt, which Jessica realized was a road.

The city made Jessica feel depressed by just looking at it. "It looks exactly like the underground..." But before she could recall any further horrible memories, she shook the thought out of her head. "We will start in 1 hour if you would like to duel before hand please do, however it will not go towards the tournament results. Good luck everyone." Without realizing, Jessica had missed most of the rules.

"I guess I'll just try to win as many duels as possible... But first..."

Jessica found David pretty easily, due to the fact that everyone from the bus she was on pretty close together. "Hey, rich boy! Wanna have a little practice duel before the tourney starts?"

"I wanna see if this guy can actually duel, or if he just cowardly bribed his way into the tournament. This should be the best way to do so."

"Ummm... excuse me. We are about to arrive at Remorse Island. Please remain seated until we come to a complete stop."

"Awe, maaaan, and I was just gonna kick yet another villain's butt too..." with the moan from Yukari that was always going to happen out of the way, the girl flicked her left arm again to retract the Duel Disk, before turning to the angry lass that challenged her, "You got lucky this time, evildoer, but justice will prevail!"

With that, she sat back down and twiddled her thumbs, waiting for the bus to stop... although she was still dismayed that the duel was interrupted so quickly. Hell, neither of the two had even started their turns before the announcement from the bus driver had forced their hands. And Yukari set that up so perfectly too. No doubt the angry lass would get herself on tilt and unintentionally set herself up for Yukari to unleash a can of whoop-ass.

In any case, the bus eventually stopped and let its seven passengers off.

...

For someone who was previously bummed out for her duel being interrupted, Yukari didn't have her priorities straight. Instead of wanting a rematch with the angry lass, she found herself wondering around the West side of the city, taking in all the sights that the plaza had to offer.

"Ooooooooh, preeeeeeeeetty," Yukari stated aloud, "This looks like the perfect place to do battle with my arch nemesis. And maybe that other guy too."

With that, she stayed where she was, waiting for her time to come.

TJ exited the bus without flare.  He had been looking forward to seeing the duel, but he figured he had plenty of time to watch duels later.  Shepherded toward the Central Square, he watched the monitor without any interest.  It was when Walter D. mentioned the subway that TJ's ears perked up.  "I wonder where that leads..." he said to himself.  I wouldn't be surprised if the subway's gonna take us to the Round 2 stage... he thought, his face betraying nothing of his thoughts.

He continued to peg those duelists who were on his bus.  When he noticed a lady challenge the rich guy, was David his name?, to a duel, he began to move towards the trio.  Approaching her from behind, he addressed the lady.  "I would like to duel as well.  How about we spread the fun around a bit?"  He said, "You were on our bus, right?  Maybe we could tag against them." he gestured at David and Kye.

"Sorry, but I fly solo. I've never enjoyed sharing." David answered while his duel disk activated. No one seemed to appreciate his joke about bribery. Now he had a good chance to show off his skills and how powerful Gargoyles were. Sure, he lost more than he won, but the only way to get better at something is to repeatedly do it. "Alright, I'll take your challenge, and just to be sporty, I'll let you make the first move." Deck shuffled and hand drawn, he taunted with "Don't disappoint me now." Now, the only thing that was left was to wait for his turn, if this person would even bite instead of bark.

Jessica took a deep breath. "Alright, let's do this!" The girl's light purple Duel Disk, that matched her eye colour, shifted into position as she shuffled her Deck. She turned her head to the boy who asked to tag duel. "Sorry, but he seems to want to go alone." She gave a little wink at him before turning back. Looking at her starting hand, she grinned.

"I'll start off this Duel by Summoning Endless Fighter, my Level 1 Tuner monster." A gladiator-like soldier covered in red unsheathed its bloody sword as it appeared in between Jess and David. "Next, since I control a Level 4 or lower Warrior-Type monster, I can Special Summon Spirit of a Burning Soldier from my hand. Since Endless Fighter is a Tuner, I'll be tuning it to my Burning Soldier, to Synchro Summon!" A flaming ghost appeared alongside Jessica's other monster and both leapt up into the air, where a ball of fire surrounded them.

"Great flame of the night, come to me and engulf my opponent in your crimson glory! Synchro Summon, Level 4, Crimson Wolf!" Out of the ball emerged a large wolf, its tail lit with blue fire, and its coat a red hot. "Once per turn, I can send 1 card from my opponent's hand to the Graveyard, but if I do this, my brilliant Wolf is destroyed at the end of the turn. So, I'll activate this effect now!" The wolf launched itself at its opponent, and snatched a card out of his hand with its huge mouth. Jessica checked her opponent's Graveyard. "Gargoyles? I wonder what they do..."

"I set a card, and since it's the end of my turn, my Wolf is destroyed via its own effect, leaving me with an empty field." Although her field was wide open for her opponent to attack, Jess wasn't scared. How would she have won so many duels in the underground if this strategy didn't work?

"Show me what you've got! If you've even got anything..."

David didn't even bat an eye. So she got rid of Ledsig. It was like any thing important was lost. All he cared about was that it was his turn. "I draw." He drew his card, Gargoyle Castle. He then perused his hand, a Broxx and a Rock Armor, as well as Awakening. "To start things off, I'll activate a field spell, Gargoyle Castle!" When he activated the card, gothic castle walls were raised around them. On the the four corners say stone creatures with wings staring down at them. Occasionally, thunder struck. "Don't you feel welcomed?" David asked. "A Gargoyle cannot stop defending the castle just as it cannot stop breathing the air, and the castle rewards them. Not only do all Gargoyles gain 200 defense, but once a turn, I can either flip a Gargoyle I control face-up or face-down. That's only the beginning though. I set 1 monster and 1 backrow, and then activate Gargoyle Awakening. Now every time you destroy a Gargoyle, I get to add a card from my deck to hand." He then flipped the monster he just set. "Thanks to the castle, I may flip my Gargoyle face-up now. Welcome Broxx." A stone statue then appeared. It cracked and then a monster broke out. It let out a massive roar as it woke up. "Now for its effect. When flipped, I can add 1 Gargoyle monster from my deck to hand and I'll add Gargoyle Sledge." He then shuffled his deck and hand. "Now Broxx, attack directly for 1300!" David commanded without the slightest hesitation. There was no profit in playing safely. To him, everything was a bluff.

"A big tower and some flip monsters? Seems easy enough to beat."

"Sorry, but when you declare a direct attack, I'm allowed to Special Summon Crimson Wolf back from my Graveyard, and I'll Summon it in Attack Position!" Even though the stone creature looked intimidating at first, it jumped away from Jessica when her huge wolf materialized in front of her. "What are you gonna to now, rich boy? If you attack, your monster's destroyed, and if you don't, I'll beat it on my turn. You're bound to lose some Life Points soon." As she waited for her opponent's response, Jess quickly scanned her hand. "Depending on what he does now, there are a couple things I can do next turn... I'll just have to wait and see."

"I'm afraid ill have to agree with my new friend here, tag duels arent really my thing. Also I dont see too much in dueling atm when it wont contribute to the tournament. Name's Kye by the way, enjoy your duel ive got a target to look for." Kye then nodded his head at David and Jessica and began walking off in another direction.

While walking Kye tried to determine where hed start looking first, North, South, East or West? While he pondered his decision he began flciking one of his card and noticabley the same card as previously, in between his fingers. Suddenly his purple crystal necklace began shining randomly.

"What the?.." Kye was confused he had never seen the crystal shine like this. "He continued walking as the crystal then dimmed its light. Although Kye was confused he still knew what he had to do and that was to find his target.
