Welcome to the third installment of the Newfound Power series!  Special thanks to Egotisticalghost for helping me come up with an idea for this set!

 

Today, I'm going to be playing around with the (infamous) card "Eisbahn".  As always, CnC is appreciated, and most of all, Enjoy!

 

 

Main Deck:

 

Eispider

WATER **

Insect/Tuner/Effect

Face-up monsters cannot change their battle positions except by card effect.  If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can add 1 "Eis" card from your Deck to your Hand.

Eisfly

WATER **

Insect/Effect

When a non-WATER monster is Summoned, flip that monster into defense position.  Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed.

Eisbeast

WATER ****

Beast/Effect

Once per turn, if a monster your opponent controls changes its battle position, you can target 1 card on the field: it's effects are negated until your next End Phase.  Once per turn, if this card changes its battle position, you can target 1 card in either player's Graveyard: shuffle it into the owner's Deck.

WATER **

Plant/Effect

Once per turn, when a monster's battle position is changed, you can target 1 card on the field: return it to its owner's Hand.

Eishield

Rock/Tuner/Effect

Your opponent can only target this face-up card for attacks and card effects.  If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you may set 1 "Eis" card from your Deck to your side of the field except "Eishield".

Eisdragonfly

WATER ****

Insect/Synchro/Tuner/Effect

1 "Eis" Tuner + 1 or more non-tuner WATER monsters

When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can target 1 monster used for this card's summon.  This card gains that monster's effects.  If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, draw 1 card.

Eisdrago

WATER ******

Sea Serpent/Synchro/Effect

1 "Eis" Tuner + 1 or more WATER monsters

When this card is Summoned, destroy all defense position monsters.  Non-WATER monsters cannot change their battle positions.  During your Main Phase 2, if this card is in your Graveyard, you can banish 1 tuner and 1 non-tuner "Eis" monster from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card.  You can only use this effect of "Eisdrago" once per turn.

I dunno if I'm going to make any spell/traps to supplement this set...

It's always nice to see a set based on unused or obscure cards, and this is no exception. The set is very well-done, but it doesn't seem to have much of a win condition other than Eisdrago. To be honest, it kinda makes sense, as to me it looks like this is meant to be more a long, grindy deck, rather than a super-fast one. I think my favorite card in the set is Eisdragonfly, simply because of how versatile it can become.

 

As for Spell/Trap support, it's already got Eisbahn and all the WATER support cards; I doubt you need any more, but if you want, then go ahead.

 

Overall, I'm thoroughly enjoying this little series you're doing, and I look forwards to the next archetype in the series!  :7627_key:
