Ren✧
GM Post: Titans' TowerA dazzling dawn blossomed over the shining landscape of Aurora City, scattering its brilliance over the technological marvels and structures below. Despite the earliness of the hour, life in the northern metropolis was already in full swing as pedestrians flooded the streets and hovercars thronged the skies. As the sun rose higher into the sky, the city's skyscrapers and streets became incandescent pillars and rivers of gold, transformed by its light. With the sun at its zenith, its rays shone upon the waters of the sea, curving gently to meet the land in a wide crescent. At the heart of the Crescent Moon Bay, as it was known, lay a medium-sized rocky island, crowned by an imposing metallic tower, fashioned to resemble the letter "T." While the tower had only recently been finished, it had already become an endless source of fascination for the citizens of Aurora City. For some, it was a beacon of hope, a promise of salvation; others, however, merely shrugged or raised their eyebrows in skepticism. There were even those who looked upon the tower with undisguised fear and hatred, for even in the year 2125, to be different could still be deadly. In any case, it was no secret that the tower would serve as the residence and operational base for the city's new protectors—the division of young superheroes known as the Teen Titans. === There was a slight pneumatic hiss as the metal doors slid apart and a figure strode into the Central Complex at the heart of Titans Tower. In the splendor of the sunlight falling through the windows, it was revealed to be a man in his mid-thirties, clad in a form-fitting black jumpsuit with a stylized design etched in purple on his chest, resembling an eye. He was tall and tanned with an athletic, muscular physique, as well as high cheekbones and an aquiline nose. While his dark hair was worn short, there were hints of gray at his temples, giving him a rather dignified and erudite appearance. "Computer," he commanded firmly in a deep, slightly hoarse voice, "initiate procedure. Keyword: MOVE-IN." There was a series of computerized beeps from unseen speakers as the tower's automated system sprang into effect, unlocking doors, raising stairs, and turning on overhead lights. The man, Sybil, turned towards the windows, his violet gaze focused upon the golden city that lay on the horizon. It was, as he knew all too well, a modern Eden, filled with beauty and earthly delights—yet underneath, danger and corruption lurked. He sighed after a moment and looked down at the file in his hands, a series of profile reports sent to him by Justice League Headquarters, detailing the main characteristics of the new Teen Titans. "Arcana, Cygnus, Havoc, Satellite, and Comet," he read aloud, tasting each of their names on his tongue. Strange names, without a doubt, but after all, they were operative names; much more important were the individuals that lay behind them. He looked up again at the vista of Aurora City, a shining, poisoned paradise that had already consumed so many. "Whoever you are," he murmured, "you certainly have your work cut out for you."[spoiler=OOC. Please Read]Saiba and I are so excited to get this RP started, hopefully you all feel the same. It's time for the newest branch of the Teen Titans program to move into their base of operations, their very own Titans' Tower. Our team's senior adviser, Sibyl, is waiting for the team on the top floor of the tower. This area will serve as the kitchen, leisure area, and is also an important center of operations which includes a state-of-the-art interface system, as well as a common area which connects the residential hallways (boys on the left, girls on the right). For now, present your character in the Titans' common room in an introductory fashion. Feel free to interact with your new teammates and Sibyl. Other than that, there's only one thing left to say:TITANS! GO! Click here to go to the <OOC>
Saiba Aisu
A gentle breeze rose from the sea as a slender young man made his way towards the T-shaped tower at the heart of the island, tossing back his white hair and ruffling the feathers adorning his shoulders in its wake. Cygnus paused at the base of the massive structure, his dark blue eyes traveling slowly up its frame. It was impressive, to be sure, but for all its shining steel and plexiglass, it wasn't exactly to his tastes. Far too modern, for one thing, and a bit too glaring. He took a deep breath before proceeding inside, clinging to the smell of the sea for as long as he could, even as the elevator hurtled towards the upper floors at an alarming speed. With barely a sound, the elevator came to a halt, its doors sliding open to provide access to the Central Complex. Looks like I'm the first one here, Cygnus thought to himself. The oldest one on the team, yet the first to arrive. A faint smile appeared on his lips as he considered the irony of it. It was then that he realized that he wasn't alone: there was someone else, a man—too old to be one of the incoming Titans—standing at the far end of the room, gazing out towards the city, his back towards Cygnus. He took a moment to appreciate the sight of the other man's body framed by the light of the midday sun. While his black jumpsuit was utilitarian, it was also skin-tight and left little to imagination, emphasizing his broad shoulders, tapered waist, muscular legs, and perfectly sculpted— "Are you going to stand there all day enjoying the view, or are you going to come introduce yourself?" the man asked suddenly, without turning around. Cygnus' eyes widened momentarily in disbelief—he was sure that he'd entered the room noiselessly—but he recovered quickly enough. "You can hardly blame me," he replied, striding forward. "It's not every day that you get a view like that." The man threw back his head and laughed with genuine warmth, the sound ringing through the room. He turned towards Cygnus. "Touché! I do appreciate the compliment. You must be Cygnus. It's a pleasure." The white-haired boy nodded as they shook hands. "Enchanted, I'm sure. And you are...?" "Sibyl," the man replied. "I'm a member of the Justice League who will be serving as your senior advisor."
Dad
Alfonso Bronson | Just off of Titan Tower He was lazily floating his way across the sparkling waters that surrounded the island. A splash of salt water shook him awake, guiding his gaze to the tall metal structure that was shaped like a 'T'. He sighed, landing on the island's shore. His personal property had been moved in ahead of time, so he at least didn't have to worry about carrying a big case of luggage up the stairs. "Is something bothering you, Alfonso?" asked the female voice in his head. He sighed, dragging his feet slowly up the rocky shore. "No. It's just--well, I'm really tired." Altiana scoffed, ushering her host forward. "You've slept for fourteen hours. Get your tushy into that tower. They were kind enough to invite you, after all." "Yeah, I guess. But there's like, a hundred floors, and--" "There are thirty floors, and you will march to that elevator, and up to the top mister. And hurry. You don't want to be late." With an exasperated sigh, Alfonso made his way into the bottom floor of the Titan Tower, eyeing it up and down. "It's quiet," he said with a softer voice now. "Just how I like it." Alfonso found his way to the elevator, and selected the highest floor available to him. "Thirtieth floor, incoming," he whispered aloud to no one. "So, what do you think they'll be like?" "Hmm?" "The other Titans," Altiana said excitedly. Alfonso shrugged. "I mean, if they were picked to be Titans, they must be pretty cool people, right? Who knows?" The elevator was quick to arrive on the thirtieth floor, and stepped out onto the Central Complex. Apparently, he wasn't the first one here. Hopefully he wasn't the last. With a yawn, he floated silently behind two others. One of them was clad in black, a rather bold purple marking on his chest. Judging by his height and age, it was unlikely he was a Titan. The other one was much younger, a tad bit pale, and slightly shorter. Altiana attempted to get Alfonso to meet the two before him, but he forcefully resisted. Instead, his eyes fell upon a very comfortable sofa, stretched wide in blue suede. "I think I'll just have a seat instead." Silently he floated over and stretched out, immediately making himself at home. "Don't you think you're being rude!?" Altiana said in his head, almost screaming. Alfonso sighed again, standing to his feet right away. "Calm down mom, I'm going." ". . . did you just call me mom?" Alfonso approached the two gentlemen politely, trying not to interrupt their conversation. "Well?" "They're talking," he said in his head. Altiana, however, wasn't going to allow Alfonso to shy out of this one. In his stead, Altiana cleared her throat. Alfonso, who was not prepared for this, widened his eyes in disbelief. He immediately put a palm to his face, embarrassed, but laughing as he did so. "Sorry about that," he said for the interruption. "That was uh. . . that was my other half, trying to get you to notice me." Alfonso stuck out a hand to whoever would receive it. "I'm Alfonso, but I go by Comet, if you don't mind." And, of course, because Alfonso failed to introduce her, Altiana would speak aloud now, instead of in Alfonso's head. "Please excuse Alfonso, gentlemen. He's quite the lazy one, that I so happen to have selected. This voice of mine you'll be hearing very little from. But my name is Altiana, and I am your resident alien species." Her voice emitted out of Alfonso without him moving his lips, causing Alfonso to look around anxiously. When she was finished, he returned his eyes to the two before him. "Yeah. That's my other half."
Saiba Aisu
Cygnus raised an eyebrow at Alfonso's—Comet's?—choice of entrance, floating nonchalantly into the room and stretching out on the sofa, only to get up abruptly and introduce himself. Herself. Themselves. An alien life-form, sharing a body with a human? By most stretches of imagination, that was pushing it... But then again, Cygnus' own story wasn't exactly mundane and after more than 300 years wandering the earth, there was little left that could genuinely surprise him. Still, he thought to himself with a faint smile, the kid's taking the term 'multiple personality disorder' to new heights. "It's nice to meet you, Alfonso, Altiana," he said aloud, shaking the boy's hand. "I'm Cygnus." He watched as Sybil also introduced himself, taking Alfonso's rather bizarre self-introduction in stride. But perhaps he had been forewarned? I wonder if the other Titans will be just as... unique? Cygnus wondered, unsure if that was the right word. If that was the case, then he very well might end up being the most normal member of the team. And wouldn't that be saying something. Ren✧
Kiara nervously fiddled with the pendant that hung from her neck. She was standing at the base of Titans' Tower, completely overwhelmed by the structure's enormity and grandeur. "I've finally made it." She said aloud, still not quite believing the words. She had worked so hard to make it this far. Fought tooth and nail to just stay alive long enough to get here, and now she was paralyzed at the thought of walking through that door and into the rest of her life. It was just too momentous. Too surreal. "You were meant for great things..." The voice echoed in her mind, sending a chill down Kiara's spine. That had been what Matron Supreme had said to her the night she was inducted into the Night Sisters as a full member. The memory of it made her want to vomit. So many horrible things. Unspeakable things. But the thought of those past atrocities steeled the young heroine's nerves. They were the reason she was here now. To make up for everything she did, and most of all to prove to Supreme that she was indeed meant for great things, just not the things that old witch had planned. Stepping through the doors to Titans' Tower, she rode the elevator all the way to the top. Whilst in the elevator she shrugged on her combat vest that she had draped over her shoulder. All of her other personal affects had been brought here already, but she had made sure to hold on to the vest. Just in case she had needed it before move-in day. Fortunately, she hadn't, but it was still a comfort to her now. It reminded her of the strong person that she had become and not of the anxious little girl that was pining for attention inside. Walking into what would no doubt be the Towers' hub of activity, she noticed three individuals were already in the room. Focusing her mind, she tried to feel out the personalities of the others. Due to the their close proximity towards one another, Kiara had a difficult time distinguishing what she was getting from her reading, but she felt a number of emotions emanating from the three. Exasperation. Excitement. Anticipation. And...lust(?). No...that couldn't be right. She must have misinterpreted the psychic messages she was receiving. Of course, after glancing at the man that appeared to be the oldest, almost definitely their adviser, she began to think that maybe she had been right. The black jumpsuit he wore left little to the imagination and Kiara had no problem understanding the attraction to him. "That is one pretty man..." She said, not meaning for it actually to come out loud. Upon her outburst, she no doubt drew the attention of the three men. "That's what everyone keeps telling me." Sibyl joked lightly, taking notice of the newest recruit. "Err...I mean," She stammered slightly, embarrassed by her statement. "My name's Kiara. Teen Titan!" She proclaimed, allowing a twinge of pride to enter her voice. And why shouldn't she be prideful? She was a Titan, after all.
Mr. Hyde
"So this is Titans' Tower huh...sheesh this place is definitely going to need an upgrade asap." The boy with bright orange hair had finally arrived at his final destination. He pushed his glasses to get a better view of the place, as he grew a faint smile. This was the place he had been waiting to get into his whole life. Colleges and prestigious companies didn't come close to getting him this excited. From this place, this tower, he would finally be able to make a difference in this world. He was surprised that the Justice League was interested in his capabilities, he thought their were all sorts of people just like him in the league, but probably not at the teen age. His personal luggage had already been moved in, but he still carried a briefcase that was a shining silver. Along the side of it, a purple light could be seen where a black bar traced the edges. Inside was his precious laptop, he couldn't afford to have it be smashed during the move in. With a deep breath, Blake stepped into Titans' Tower's automatic doors. Inside was a long, empty hallway that lead to an elevator. He walked up to the doors of the elevator and breathed in deeply...again, this time pressing the up button. "Now if I were going to hold a meeting in Titans' Tower...I'd probably do it....on the top floor!" Blake pressed the top floor and rode the elevator. When the doors opened, he was greeted by a multitude of people that had already arrived. Perhaps he arrived a bit late to the party. Blake scanned the room with his left eye. Scans came back indicating that none of them were normal humans. Great...he was the only one with no natural powers besides his higher intelligence. At least he had that going for him. From the looks of it, everyone in the room save for the brown haired boy were all gawking at the eldest in their midst. Blake scoffed. "Hmph...He's not even that good looking."1* With eyes on him now, Blake cleared his throat. "Hello fellow Titans, my name is Blake Bradsborn." He ran his fingers through his hair all the way to the back. "CEO of Interstellar Incorporated, and your new teammate. You're all lucky to have me aboard!" [spoiler=Blake Translator]1*. "Pay attention to me!"
Ren✧
Not even a full minute had passed since Kiara had made her entrance when the second to last member of their team made his entrance. "Hmph...He's not even that good looking." She had heard him scoff, causing her to mentally roll her eyes. 'He's totally lying to himself. He's a total DILF!' Kiara thought. She started slightly, fearing that she had let her thoughts slip aloud again, but fortunately they were well contained within her head. "Hello fellow Titans, my name is Blake Bradsborn.CEO of Interstellar Incorporated, and your new teammate. You're all lucky to have me aboard!" Kiara could feel the arrogance oozing off of this guy, and something told her that it wasn't because she was a telepath. Still, she couldn't help but be impressed. CEO? He couldn't have been older than herself and already he was running a company? It was impressive. "Yes...well, it's good to meet you. You're a bit young for a CEO, aren't you?" Kiara said, extending her hand in welcome. She briefly tried to extend her mind outward, trying to read the newest arrival. With so many new personalities around, it was difficult to get much of a read off of him, but she could tell he was smart. Really smart. And she had also been right about the arrogant part. All in all, he seemed good-natured though, even if a bit immature. "So, anyway, I'm Kiara. And this is..." She stopped, realizing she didn't actually know any of the others by name. Figuring she should could try to impress them all with her telepathy, she attempted to sift through their thoughts and to find a name. Starting with the pale one, the one with feathers on his shoulders, upon touching his mind she immediately felt out of place. For lack of a better word, his mind was...vast. So much bigger than anyone else she had ever encountered. Hastily snatching at random thoughts, she chanced upon the name Cygnus and quickly retreated. The strangeness of his mind was starting to make her nauseous. "...Cygnus...and..." Switching to the darker skinned guy, if she had thought Cygnus' mind was strange, then this was an all new level. This guy had two consciousnesses? No, surely she was just making a mistake. Right? No, wrong. There were distinctly two streams of thought in the man's head. She immediately retreated, overwhelmed by the experience, she dropped to her knee. "sheet, what was that?" She wondered aloud, clapping a hand over her mouth as she cursed. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to curse. It's just that when I entered your mind I..." Kiara stopped herself, realizing she had just made a mistake. Some people didn't take kindly to her telepathic prying, but she just couldn't help herself. "That's Comet and I'm your senior adviser, Sybil." Sybil interrupted Kiara, seeing the mess things were turning into, and finished the introductions. Helping Kiara back to her feet, he murmured something so that only she could here. "I think that's probably enough telepathy for right now. Let's save that for later, shall we?" Kiara blushed at the modest reprimand, but nodded in agreement. She should have known better. "Um, so anyway, are we waiting on anyone else?" Kiara hoped that they were, she didn't want to be the only girl on the team.
Hälō
"Um, so anyway, are we waiting on anyone else?" As if on cue, the doors of the elevator shot open to reveal the slender figure of a girl who appeared to be in her late teens, with bright blonde hair even brighter cyan eyes. “Hello, all!” She cooed as she took her fist steps off the elevator, before taking a moment to glance around at all the people that had already gathered. Not bothered at all by her obvious tardiness, Roxie wore a large friendly smile on her face as she held up the white paper box that she had been holding in her left hand. As she walked, she dragged a gleaming metal baseball bat lazily at her side, causing a faint screeching sound to accompany every step. “I know how much you Americans love your snacks…“ She cooed as met the gaze of the floating lad and the pale gentlemen. “So I brought doughnuts!” Expecting the greedy Americans to jump at the opportunity to stuff their face with any form of sugary dough and frosting, the English girl shook the box open to reveal its contents, before shoving it into the chest of the boy with bright orange hair, causing jelly to squirt into the air from the sudden impact. “Help yourself.” Satisfied that her gesture would be well received by the boy, Roxie made her way towards the other four people in the room, extending a hand towards the large handsome man in black first. "Has anyone told you that your real easy one the eyes yet?" Her accent made it rather hard to tell how serious she really was, but Roxie trusted that he would understand that it was all in good fun. After shaking hands with the Incredible Hunk, Roxie turned to only other female in the room, and took another second to look her up and down. She had a natural beauty to her that Roxie found rather quaint, and her tattoos definitely gave her an exotic look that she new she-herself could never pull off. "Well aren't you fit..." Roxie punctuated her complement with a genuine smile before finally turning to address the entire group. "Oh, and I suppose it would be nice for me to introduce myself, right? Her voice was filled with enthusiasm as she slung her bat onto her shoulder. "I'm Roxie, but you can call me Havoc when we're kicking ass and what not." Saiba Aisu
Cygnus repressed the urge to sigh in exasperation as two additional members of the team entered the Central Complex and introduced themselves. The white-haired girl who seemed unable to think without speaking aloud... Kiara? And the orange-haired boy who had introduced himself so rudely, Blake, was it? They both seemed so young. I can't decide which of them is worse, he thought to himself, practically rolling his eyes. At least that Alfonso kid has the alien pulling the strings somewhere in his head, but these two... His reverie came to a sudden halt as he felt a foreign presence brush across his mind, an unpleasant, fleeting sensation, like feeling a strange gaze at the back of one's neck. Yet within moments, the presence had retreated, gone as quickly as it had appeared. Cygnus was no telepath, but he had lived long enough to know when someone was messing with his thoughts. No way, he said to himself, his eyes narrowing slightly. She wouldn't dare...! But yes, she had dared—there she was, spouting his name calmly, as if unlawfully entering people's minds and stealing information was commonplace. "I think that's probably enough telepathy for right now," Sybil said hastily, trying to stop Kiara before she did any more damage. "Let's save that for later, shall we?" Cygnus was about to interrupt when the elevator doors slid open once more, revealing a slender girl with blonde hair, bright eyes, and of all things, a box of doughnuts in one hand and a metal baseball bat in the other. "I know how much you Americans love your snacks," she cooed in a thick British accent, waving the box as if it were some priceless treasure. She handed it forcefully towards Blake before introducing herself to the group as Roxie. "I'm French," Cygnus said testily, tossing his head, his own accent rather thicker than usual. He was still angry that Kiara had dared to penetrate his mind, but now that the final Titan had arrived, it would have to wait.
Mr. Hyde
"Yes...well, it's good to meet you. You're a bit young for a CEO, aren't you? The girl extended a hand in a friendly gesture, that to Blake, hadn't been friendly in quite some time. In his past couple of years running Interstellar Inc., all the hands he shook were merely the starting of business. But this gesture towards new friendship made Blake smile. He gladly shook it, with a gleam on his face. Something else was on his mind, he could feel it, but it was nothing of importance to him. The phrase 'too young' often came up when people talked about Blake being the owner and operator of his own company. Of course it wasn't expected for people to be as intelligent as him, but he had to help the simpletons figure that out for themselves. "Not when you're as smart as me, miss...?" "So, anyway, I'm Kiara. And this is..." Ah, he was now going to be introduced to the whole crew! But why was she so hesitant? "...Cygnus...and..." her eyes had wandered towards the more...how would he say, flamboyant character in the room. "s***, what was that?" The exclamation startled Blake. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to curse. It's just that when I entered your mind I..." What did she just say? Great...a mind reader. Blake had seen many fakes in his days, but he was guessing this girl was the real deal. He felt disgusted at the fact that someone could invade privacy so easily, even if it may just have been a name. The warm feeling he had received from their prior hand shake had turned slightly sour. The older, not so attractive as everyone was saying, gentlemen spoke up to save face. "That's Comet and I'm your senior adviser, Sybil." Comet must've been that dark haired boy. Now he was acquainted with most of the crew, well he had their names at least. "Heh...you sure do put the senior in senior advisor huh?" He had to get these shots in while he was still here. Blake was going to be top dog in this tower...hopefully. He then heard the opening sounds of the elevator. This must've been their last member, and they were fashionably late. “Hello, all! I know how much you Americans love your snacks, so I brought doughnuts!”” The tone sounded cheerful, but when Blake turned around to look at who this new arrival was, he was greeted with a box of donuts to the chest. He was able to dodge a spurt of jelly that had almost glazed his newest suit. “Help yourself.” What a lousy first impression that was. It was surely a nice gesture, but Blake wasn't big on sweets. He sat the box down on the nearest table, opened wide. "I'm Roxie, but you can call me Havoc when we're kicking ass and what not." Blake readjusted his glasses. "How about we just call you obnoxious instead?" He could tell already that this newest member was going to be an issue on his path to team leaderdome. Ren✧
Kiara had messed up, and she'd messed up big time. Her plan at impressing everyone had quickly gone bad, it appeared that they were none too happy to be in the midst of someone that could enter their thoughts. "Idiot." She mentally berated herself. She should have known not to do that. People didn't like having their privacy infringed upon, especially when it was supposed to be their safest refuge: their mind. She could feel the heat rising in her face, noticing the glances that Cygnus and Blake were shooting her way. Sooner or later, she was going to have to apologize to everyone. "Great, I've been here ten minutes and I've already managed to piss everyone off." Fortunately, the final member of their team had provided her with a perfect distraction. For now, at least, she would be able to avoid the awkward situation. “So I brought doughnuts! Help yourself.” She proclaimed, handing the box of donuts to Blake who in turn deposited the box on a nearby counter top. Wanting to move away from the group, hoping that they'd let the current issue drop, she started to move towards the donuts. Picking out one with chocolate icing, Kiara immediately started to stuff her face. "Has anyone told you that your real easy one the eyes yet?" "Oh hesh ben told." Kiara said inarticulately, spraying a few crumbs as she did. It was then that the blond girl turned to Kiara. "Well aren't you fit..." She said, giving Kiara an approving looking and a smile. The compliment nearly made Kiara choke on the pastry, but she roughly swallowed, tears springing to her eyes. "Oh...er, thank you." She coughed out, figuring that she'd had now had her fill of donuts for the morning. "Oh, and I suppose it would be nice for me to introduce myself, right? I'm Roxie, but you can call me Havoc when we're kicking ass and what not." "How about we just call you obnoxious instead?" "Woah, woah come on Blake, there's no need for that." Kiara immediately jumped into the conversations, hoping to head off any arguments. Of course, it was difficult to do such a thing with any conviction when there was still chocolate icing smeared on her face. "Sorry about them." Kiara said, now directly addressing Roxie as she gestured towards Cygnus and Blake. "I believe I upset them earlier, I think their feathers are just a little ruffled is all." She tried to explain, hoping that Roxie wouldn't take offense to Cygnus' and Blake's less than welcoming introductions. "I'm Kiara, by the way. Otherwise known as the illustrious Arcana!" She joked, throwing one of the long tassels over her shoulder as she struck a dramatic pose before letting out an infectious laugh. "I like the sticker on your bat." Kiara remarked, noticing the big 'KISS ME' emblazoned on it. "Something tells me that it's very appropriate."
Dad
Alfonso He was quiet, but admittedly excited to meet the rest of the Titans, as they appeared one by one. He was introduced next to Cygnus, the only other Titan in the room. He shook Cygnus' hand with a firm grip, which may surprise those who knew just how much of a sloth Alfonso was. And, in an effort to keep Altiana from making a further fuss, Alfonso was sure to give an equally hearty handshake to Sybil. But before Alfonso could delve further into conversation with his new colleagues, the doors of the Titan elevator opened once again. The next one to follow him inside was a female Titan, by the name of Kiara. She had white hair, much like Cygnus'. With a slender frame and athletic build, she was somewhat intimidating and strong looking, in Alfonso's eyes. This however, was immediately disregarded as she accidentally spouted some rather smooth remarks regarding Sybil's physique. And of course, the Justice Leaguer accepted it graciously, as Kiara introduced herself. "My name's Kiara. Teen Titan!" Well, that was a prideful reply. But this was normal, and more than welcome. Anyone who was selected to be a Teen Titan should certainly be proud. This was a great honor, and-- "Hello fellow Titans, my name is Blake Bradsborn. CEO of Interstellar Incorporated, and your new teammate. You're all lucky to have me aboard!" Now Alfonso wasn't sure if that was pride, or arrogance, but judging by the confident appearance and bold entrance, this new Blake gentleman was the one Alfonso assumed would be leading the Titans. His bravado was great, his approach was strong, and judging by the fact that he was the CEO of his own company at this age, Blake was a guy that Alfonso could admire. Even if he did have a rather large ego. But would he be elected the leader of the Titans? Would there even be an election? Did this mean Alfonso had to come up with a campaign? A slogan? He wasn't prepared for this! He--! "Alfonso." "Hmm, what!?" he shook his head of his clouded, distracted thoughts. "There's one more." The final Titan joined the room, shoving a box of doughnuts into the arms of Blake. But Alfonso couldn't understand a word she was saying. He was totally absorbed in her beauty. His eyes widened, his body relaxed, and his pants tightened. Even though his mind had been previously invaded, he seemed to distracted to even be concerned at what Kiara may have learned about himself and Altiana. "Alfonso?" Altiana inquired. "Alfonso. Alfie!" But the boy was dazed. He was practically frozen at the appearance of the final Teen Titan. And the sticker on the bat she carried made her that much more intriguing. "Alfonso? What's happening with your body? Why are your muscles tightening? Your blood flow is going directly--what is that? Is that the human reproduction organ? Do you intend to mate with this girl? ALFONSO!" Altiana fussed in his inner thoughts. Alfonso shook his head again, finally paying attention. This last one. She introduced herself as Roxie. Foxie Roxie. "I'm Roxie, but you can call me Havoc when we're kicking ass and what not." That's when he finally was sure he was stuck like Chuck in the muck. If there was one thing Alfonso was crazy about, it was a blonde female. But a blonde with a British accent? That was icing on the cake. He was immediately flushed with red, turning to face the window and stare out into the distance, in an attempt to calm himself down. Screaming to Altiana for help. "What is wrong with you, Alfonso!? If you like this girl, you should introduce yourself now of all times!" "We haven't even met! Are you kidding me!?" "Oh, now you're just being preposterous. You're going to be working together! You're going to see her every day! You can't avoid her forever!" "You underestimate my power," Alfonso said confidently in his head.
Saiba Aisu
GM Post: Titans' Tower"Sorry about them," Kiara said to Roxie, gesturing towards Cygnus and Blake. "I believe I upset them earlier, I think their feathers are just a little ruffled, is all." As the girls continued to exchange pleasantries, Cygnus scowled and crossed his arms dismissively, unaware of the swan feathers bristling on his shoulders. Ruffled feathers, him?! He'd forgotten just how exasperating adolescents could be—the sooner this social interaction was over, the better. Sensing danger, Sybil chose that moment to act, interrupting the two girls' conversation with a rather contrived cough. "Well then," he said, "now that you've all introduced yourselves, why don't we proceed to the next point on our agenda? I imagine you must be eager to see your new rooms and make sure that all of your belongings are in order..." "I'm practically dying of excitement," Cygnus said flatly, but his sarcasm seemed lost on the rest of his teammates, who simply smiled and nodded enthusiastically. "It's quite simple, really," Sybil continued, indicating the hallways on either side of the Central Complex. "You boys are on the left," he said, addressing Blake, Alfonso, and Cygnus. "You should be able to recognize which rooms are yours easily enough." "As for you ladies," he added, turning towards Roxie and Kiara, "your rooms are to the right. I trust you won't have any trouble finding them, either. And of course, if the current decorations are not to your taste, feel free to rearrange them as you see fit." "Ah yes," he said, with a faint smile, "I almost forgot..." He turned towards a nearby table and began to enter a complicated string of codes into a medium-sized cybernetic safebox that lay on the surface. As the Titans crowded around, the safebox swung open noiselessly on its hinges, revealing a jumble of circular yellow devices stacked upon a massive instruction manual. "These," Sybil said, taking the devices and handing one to each of the Titans, "are your Titan Communicators. They have a variety of useful functions, ranging ranging from real-time satellite tracking, secure communication frequencies, video and audio recording, and infrared scanning capabilities, among others." Kiara looked rather excited to have a received a Titan Communicator, but she appeared to be the only one—Blake and Cygnus' expressions were decidedly bored, Alfonso simply yawned and eyed the couch enviously, while Roxie looked like she was still struggling to process the meaning of infrared scanning capabilities. "There are three extra Titan Communicators inside the box," Sybil continued, "in case you happen to lose or damage yours. Be warned, however: if they fall into the wrong hands, these devices could potentially cripple the security of Titans Tower. I trust that each and every one of you will take care to make sure that never happens. And speaking of which..." He indicated the massive tome that remained inside the safebox. "The instructions for the Tower's security system are detailed within that manual. It's fairly tedious, but it should come in handy, if any of you are looking for some light bedtime reading. For the time being, however, I've set the system to operate on standard security settings." "Splendid," Cygnus said, in a decidedly un-splendid tone of voice, slipping his Titan Communicator into his pocket. "Anything else?" "Just one last thing," Sybil replied. "You're free to socialize as you please, of course, but..." For the first time since the team had met him, his expression grew deathly serious and for a moment, he seemed to tower over the group ominously. "You're here to fight crime, not to make a romantic connection with your teammates! Is that clear?" At this last unexpected comment, Cygnus threw back his head and laughed, unable to keep his composure. The idea of pursuing an intimate relationship with one of these brats? Now that was funny! "Don't worry, Sybil," he replied, wiping a tear from one eye, his good humor practically restored. "You'll never catch any of these kids in my bed, I promise. In fact, while we're at it..." He smiled at his teammates, although the warmth of it did not reach his dark blue eyes. "Don't bother coming in my room at all, actually." And without another word, the French boy turned on his heel and strode away towards the residential hallway on the left. Within a few moments, he had turned the corner and disappeared from sight.[spoiler=OOC. Please read.]Alright guys, you are now free to proceed to your rooms (and describe them as you please), or continue interacting with your fellow teammates and Sybil in the Central Complex. I'm interested to see what you come up with next! Once we've taken care of the formalities, we'll be able to proceed to our first mission. Cheers. Ren✧
Kiara marveled at the yellow device in her hand. Her very own Titans' Communicator. If it hadn't been official before, it was now. She was a Teen Titan. She held back a squeal of excitement, thinking she had made a fool of herself enough for the day. Trying to appear at least somewhat collected, Kiara tucked the communicator into one of her pockets and returned her attention to Sybil, whom was still giving instruction. "The instructions for the Tower's security system are detailed within that manual. It's fairly tedious, but it should come in handy, if any of you are looking for some light bedtime reading. For the time being, however, I've set the system to operate on standard security settings." Kiara groaned inwardly. She really hoped one of the others would read the manual and fill her in. She wasn't much one for reading, especially when there were so many other important things she could be doing. Of course, the book might make for a good sleeping aid. Just looking at it she was beginning to feel drowsy. She dutifully paid attention to Sibyl's closing remarks on how there was to be no inter-team relationships. Kiara nodded along. She wasn't here to find a romantic partner. She was here to do good. Dating would only be a distraction. Her thoughts were interrupted by a boisterous laugh from Cygnus, but it wasn't a laugh that made her want to join along. It seemed more mean-spirited than anything else. "Don't worry, Sybil. You'll never catch any of these kids in my bed, I promise. In fact, while we're at it. Don't bother coming in my room at all." Cygnus declared, giving each of his fellow Titans a pointed stare and patronizing smile before heading for his quarters. "Did he not get the memo that we are all on the same team or...?" Kiara wondered aloud. However, she couldn't help but feel as if the responsibility for Cygnus' bad attitude fell partially on herself. She needed to fix the problem she had caused. "Excuse me." She said leaving the rest of the team and following Cygnus. Fortunately she caught him before he had entered his room. "Cygnus, wait just one second." She called, trying to sound as friendly as possible. Hurrying to catch up to the Frenchman, she stopped a few feet from him. "Listen. I didn't mean to offend you by invading your privacy like that. Just got a little overexcited, I suppose. Doesn't excuse what happened though, so I apologize. It won't happen again. Please don't take it out on the rest of the team though," She waited, hoping he would accept her apology.
Mr. Hyde
"Woah, woah come on Blake, there's no need for that." "There's also no need for mind reading via telepathy, but that managed to happen anyway." Blake grumbled. Before any arguments could take place, Sybil had decided to take the reigns of the meeting. With sarcasm from Cygnus, he proceeded to explain the Titans' Tower in detail. Where living quarters were and how they had already been moved in. Sybil also entered some code onto into a computer, which then revealed a safe from within one of the tables. "These, are your Titan Communicators. They have a variety of useful functions, ranging ranging from real-time satellite tracking, secure communication frequencies, video and audio recording, and infrared scanning capabilities, among others." The tech was simple. He was officially a Titan...but with this group he thought of how it could ever be a tight knit team. Blake looked at the device and wondered if there was anyway to boost it's capabilities. When all the communicators were distributed to their new owners, Blake's eyes diverted to the rather large book that had been hidden underneath. "The instructions for the Tower's security system are detailed within that manual. It's fairly tedious, but it should come in handy, if any of you are looking for some light bedtime reading. For the time being, however, I've set the system to operate on standard security settings." "Tedious huh? Looks like a bed time story my mother used to read me. I came into this place thinking I'd have to amp up security, but I guess i can see what this place is already capable of before I do that huh?" Blake took the book from within the safe, and opened to page one. The author was a Victor Stone, and he wondered who that could be. "Child's play." he proceeded to say, flicking through the pages and scanning them intimately. He was too engrossed in the manual to listen to the rest of what Sybil had to say about romance, but it was a good thing this manual wasn't a part of the team. Blake walked towards the left hallway, not listening to anyone he might've heard on the way their. When he approached some doors, he finally took his eyes out of the manual to see which of the doors were more Blake like, but to no avail. Instead, he looked for nameplates, which were on the right side of the doors. First was Alfonso, that definitely wasn't his name. The second was Blake, so he swiped in front of the door to the left, and the door slid open. If he had wanted to lock it from the inside, he'd swipe his hand to the left, but he didn't want to completely block out his comrades just yet. Inside his room, Blake saw his MK-7 Satellite armor across the room. The armor wouldn't activate unless the user possessed a blackest box in the same location Blake did, so he left the container open for easy access. His bed was also to the left of the room, hovering with the power of a contained magnetic field. Floating beds were fancy, but that's not the reason Blake liked them. He rested his briefcase on right night stand, and sent an encrypted code from his left eye to the briefcase. The latches opened, and inside was his personal Laptop, and a blackest box. He picked up his box, and stared at it. "Maybe I can use this as a power source for Titans' Tower...I'm sure whatever else it's running on is of lesser quality." Blake wasn't being cocky, it was probably a fact. He then looked at the mirror that resided next to his armor. He placed his hand over the right side of his face, and gripped it. He pulled down what looked like skin, but was just a skin like polymer. In the mirror, Blake could see his giant scar running down the right side of his face and rubbed it, remembering the memories that were contained within the scar tissue. "Man that stuff itches...but they can't know of my imperfections..." Blake stepped slightly to the left to stand in front of his armor, which was more of a reflection of himself that what showed in that mirror. "With this...they'll see how great I am." Saiba Aisu
BGM Cygnus turned as Kiara called out to him, watching as the white-haired girl came to a halt a few feet away. "Listen," she said, making a brave attempt at a friendly voice, "I didn't mean to offend you by invading your privacy like that... It won't happen again. Please don't take it out on the rest of the team, though!" Cygnus' cold expression thawed slightly at her apology. "Apology accepted," he replied shortly. "Now listen. If you and I are going to part of the same team, we're going to have to set some ground rules. Fair enough?" "Rule number one," Cygnus said, raising one slim finger. "Don't ever try to read my mind again. You may have caught me off guard once, but if you do it again, I promise it'll be the last thing you ever do." There was no threat in his words, just a cold, ringing promise. "Rule number two," he continued. "I meant what I said before—don't go into my room. Ever." "And rule number three," he added. "Unless you have some pressing unavoidable reason for talking to me, try and avoid it." "That should be it!" he concluded, giving the young Titan his brightest, most dazzling smile. "Nice talking to you, roomie." And without another word he turned and vanished into his room, the door sliding shut in Kiara's face. Cygnus waited until he could hear Kiara moving away down the hallway before he sighed softly and leaned against the door, closing his eyes as he remembered the expression on the young girl's face. Had it really been necessary to be so harsh with her? Especially after she had apologized? The way she had looked, something about it almost reminded him of— None of that, he snapped to himself, standing up. You've been through this a hundred times, you know it doesn't pay to get too attached to mortals. Just think of it as a job like all the others and nothing else. Temporary. He shook his head briefly, white bangs flying to and fro, as if trying to chase the unpleasant thoughts away. After a moment, he strode forward, his head turning from side to side as he examined his new room. An elegant room came into view, its four walls painted a cold yet somehow soothing shade of white. Fanciful designs in black and gold, styled to resemble elongated swans in different stages of flight, chased each other across the walls. There must have been some subtle magic to them, for they seemed to shimmer and come alive in the strong silvery light from the chandelier that hung overhead as he passed. To the left was a massive bookcase, crammed full of dusty, ancient tomes, so large that it practically occupied an entire wall. To the right was his closet, his desk, and a tall narrow grandfather clock ticking softly, all of them carved of wood so dark it seemed almost black, arranged neatly alongside a full-length silver mirror. The far end of the room was dominated by a large circular window, looking out to the waters of the bay at an angle that would provide a perfect view of the moon at night. And there, tucked safely adjacent to the bookcase was his bed, made of the same black wood, its bedposts carved to resemble four long-necked swans. "Home," Cygnus murmured to himself, slipping off his hunting boots and collapsing upon the mattress. Or at least, as close to a home as he could ever hope for. Dad
After processing what had happened, Alfonso began to sway towards the couch. He didn't have to walk all the way to his room right away, did he? "Don't you do it," Altiana said quickly. With an internal groan, Alfonso picked up his Titan Communicator and began making his way back to his room. "Thanks Sybil," he called to the Justice League member before he disappeared into the left most quadrant of the top floor. "Think I'll start the day with an early power nap, a mid day snooze, and a late night all nighter sleeping fest," he mumbled to himself. Cygnus, Kiara, and Blake had already gone ahead to get to their own rooms. Alfonso wasted no time in locating his own room, doing his best to ignore what sounded like a very well contained argument not far off. Slipping in his room, Alfonso immediately went over to close the curtains. "None of that," he said tossing the Titan communicator onto the bedside night stand. He hadn't packed much--a few spare changes of clothes, some spare under wear, t-shirts, and hygiene essentials--so there wasn't a lot for him to go through. But Alfonso was pleased with his room once he saw what was done with the ceiling. Upon closing the curtains and turning off the lights, his ceiling glowed feint. Stars began to pop up, across the entirety of the ceiling, as various patterns he recognized came into view. Even Altiana was impressed. This was the most notable feature of Alfonso's room. The stars. "I'll sleep good with this over me," he thought. Flicking the lights back on, Alfonso began to put away his belongings. There was a rather large closet, big enough to walk in. A long, immaculate dresser made of cherry oak wood. It was emblazoned with the same symbols on his neck and palms, along its sides. A flat screen television hung on his wall, between two ornate rock designs that protruded from the Sheetrock. His bed was a decorative and similarly thick cherry oak wood, with the same alien origin symbols carved into its head board. And though he wouldn't be opening the curtains much, there was a view of the city from here that was truly a sight to behold. He nodded to himself, satisfied. Alfonso, flopped onto his back, and began fiddling with the communicator, flipping it over and observing the many different buttons and features that were as described by Sybil. "So, I can call for pizza with this, right?" Altiana immediately interrupted. "That is not what the Titan Communicator was intended for." "But Sybil didn't say it wasn't what the Titan communicator was for." Altiana groaned. "Oh come on, why not?" "You have a cell phone, Alfonso. Use it." "You're no fun, Alti." "Alti? Is that what you're calling me now?" "Well, you and mom call me Alfie. It's only fair if I give you guys nick names too, right?" "You're just finding more and more ways to be lazy, aren't you?" Alfonso shrugged, and started to laugh. "Actually, now that I think about it, yeah. Oh, I almost forgot something!" he said springing to his feet. Alfonso immediately snatched a piece of paper from his back, and began to draw on it. A small, sprite version of himself began to take shape, with intricate attention to detail. The sprite held up a rather large thumbs up, and beneath it, Alfonso captioned the picture. " 'Always open if ya need me.' Perfect." He finished it off with a dozen or so stars, a floating image of the Altiana he could see in his head, and a big smile. This was something he had done back home, to let his parents know that his door was never locked. Taping the picture to the outside of his door, Alfonso jumped back into bed. "And now, to decide on lunch." "That's what you're concerned about!?"
Ren✧
Kiara stared at the closed door, not really sure how she felt. She was glad that Cygnus had accepted her apology, but did he have to be so rude? "Oh well, I probably deserved it." She thought to herself, figuring that he was probably still a little sideways about her reading his mind. She couldn't blame him. Hopefully the attitude would die down eventually. Sighing to herself, she began to walk back down the hallway, realizing that she still had another apology to issue. "I hadn't realized that our initiation came with a slice of humble pie." She grumbled to herself, stopping in front of Blake's door. Figuring that he had probably already locked his door, Kiara knocked and when the door opened on its own she was surprised to find Blake standing in front a mirror. Of course, she should have expected that someone as big-headed as Blake would spend his time checking himself out. "Oh...sorry. I'm not sure why that opened. Didn't mean to intrude." She started, trying to appear as apologetic as possible. "Listen, I just wanted to apologize for, you know, reading your mind back there. It won't happen again. I promise. I really don't want us starting off on the wrong foot." Blake, fortunately, seemed to be less mean-spirited than Cygnus, so she hoped that maybe she wouldn't depart from this apology feeling like she wanted to cry. Mr. Hyde
While he was admiring his armor, Blake heard the swishing open of his sliding door. "I should've locked the damn thing!" he screamed in his head. "Oh...sorry. I'm not sure why that opened. Didn't mean to intrude." That made two times she had intruded today. Listen, I just wanted to apologize for, you know, reading your mind back there. It won't happen again. I promise. I really don't want us starting off on the wrong foot." Blake turned over his left shoulder to see Kiara standing in the doorway. His eyes grew smaller as he realized he had taken off the fake skin polymer that concealed his scar. She was in his room and she would be able to see the giant wound that would never heal. In desperation, Blake grabbed the helmet off of his suit as fast as possible and placed it over his head. He turned to look at Kiara with his mask set on the highest tint settings, so it would be impossible for Kiara to see his face. "Listen, as long as it NEVER happens again, then their should be no problems. I bet it's your first time in a situation like this, and you got a little over excited." Blake pointed to his helmet now. "You shouldn't be able to read my thoughts through here anyway...I don't think. Maybe I should install some white noise drivers to get all the telepaths out huh?" He smiled but figured Kiara wouldn't be able to see it. He walked towards her and asked, "Hey...you didn't see anything else in there did you?" Ren✧
Kiara was delighted to hear that Blake was much more forgiving of the incident than Cygnus had been. Although she wondered why he was acting so strangely. Of course, it wasn't as though she knew him very well...maybe this was normal behavior for him. "You shouldn't be able to read my thoughts through here anyway...I don't think. Maybe I should install some white noise drivers to get all the telepaths out huh?" Kiara couldn't help but giggle a little bit as Blake gestured towards his helmet. "Actually, most materials can't block out a telepath. Maybe if you can get your hands on some Nth Metal, but yeah maybe those white noise generators would work. In my experience though, the best way to keep out telepaths is a disciplined mental protection. I can try and teach you sometime, if you like?" She left the offer open. Now that she thought about it, it would probably be a good idea to teach the other members of the team how to block a psychic attack. It might come in handy one day. She tucked that thought away for later. "Hey...you didn't see anything else in there did you?" Blake asked, walking towards her. "What? In your mind? No, it doesn't quite work like that. At least not for me." She began to explain. "I'm still a pretty inexperience telepath, so it takes me awhile to actually make my way into a person's stored memories. Mostly I can only access a person's most recent thoughts and sort of empath strong emotions and personality traits. Anyway, I'm gonna go check out my room. I'll talk to you later." Waving farewell to Blake, she moved down the hall, passing the Central Complex and moving into the hall that contained the girls' dormitories. Her room was the first one, as indicated by the name plate. Opening the door, she walked into a fairly simple room. The walls were painted a mix of alternating purple and white, various arcane runes transcribed on the top and bottom of the walls, similar in design to those on her skin. Seeing them made her lips curl upward in disgust. She probably should have told whomever designed the room that her tattoos were not given to her by choice. In fact, anything magic related usually made her uneasy. She had just seen it used for too many evil things. Oh well, she would live with it. Her bed was in the center of the room, a circular design with a deep purple bedspread and matching sheets. In one corner hung a punching bag, something that Kiara felt she would get a lot of use of. Especially if her and Cygnus continued to get along like they had been. A desk sat against one of the walls, its surface was bare except for the closed laptop that she had received from the Justice League a few months ago. No doubt if she were to open it up, it would bring up the latest article she found that somehow related to the possible whereabouts of Matron Supreme. The wall opposite of the desk boasted a huge cork board with various papers and photos stuck into it. The same board had been present in the room that the League had provided her in the months after her liberation from the Night Sisters. Walking over to it, she smiled as she saw photos of her training with various Justice League instructors. Most of the board, however, was a complex map of where Kiara had tracked Matron Supreme's movements. The majority of them, unfortunately, had been false leads, but there were a few promising finds. Next to the giant cork board was a framed piece of paper. It was the letter she had received that had notified her that she would be joining Teen Titans North. Seeing it now filled her with the same excitement that she had felt when first reading it. Perhaps her favorite thing about the room was the spherical overhead chandelier that lit the entire room. Every few moments it would change color, casting the room in a variety of cheerful hues. It wasn't much, but it was all hers. Every singe bit of it. A luxury she hadn't had since she was 12. It was nice to feel like she had a refuge that was completely her own. For the first time in a long time, she felt like maybe she could drop her guard. "Maybe I'm finally safe." She thought to herself, collapsing on the bed and looking up at the spectrum of colors that bathed her room.
Hälō
“Well, its nice to meet YOU then, love.” Roxie simply smiled at the other girl before lifting her bat so that it was eye level. Smiling mischievously at the complement she received on her favorite sticker, the girl took a large swing at an imaginary target, before returning her attention to Kiara. “Ohhhhh you have no idea!” After receiving her communicator, Roxie watched as the other members made their way towards their rooms, before gliding over to the table that Blake had placed the doughnuts; quickly snatching up a vanilla frosted, then strolling over to the hallway that would lead to her own room. “So how do I make calls on this thing…” She grumbled to herself as she passed Sybil; her small manicured fingers already digging into the device with far too much force. Upon reaching her door, the girl glanced down the opposite side of the hall towards the boy’s dorm. Taking a moment to watch as the floating boy (she really had to learn that guys name…) came out and placed what looked like a piece of paper on his door, before lazily drifting back inside. “I’ll go talk to him later I suppose.” She mumbled after taking a large and unladylike bite from her doughnut. Roxie’s eyes instantly brightened upon seeing the contents of her room. “Holly s***!” Each of the four walls had been covered from top to bottom with stickers, thousands upon thousands of stickers ranging from warning signs, to popular movie titles, and most importantly the iconic “Kiss it” emblem that was found on her bat. Taking another step into her room, the girl let lose squeal of delight upon setting her eyes on the massive hologram monitor that appeared above the red silken sheets of her large seductive looking bed set. As she approached the words “Don’t break me. Use your words please.” appeared on the monitor, causing Roxie to snicker. Glancing around for a second to be sure the rest of her personal items were all there, she turned back to the monitor and spoke in a low tone as to not seem foolish if what she was about to try didn’t work. “Umm, Tv-thingy off?” She shyly commanded. Responding to her voice instantly, the monitor vanished without a trace, leaving the room substantially darker without its glow. Standing in the darkness for only a moment, Roxie continued her test. “Lights on?” Once again the room responded to he commands, activating a very elegantly designed chandelier that hung in the center of the ceiling. “They couldn’t trust me with a damn light switch???” Laughing at the spectacle, Roxie turned towards the door and began making her way towards the exit. She’d have time to play with her new toys later tonight... “Lights off.” Stepping out into the hallway, she cheerfully strode into the boy's side of the Tower; stoping at the floating gentlemen's door and reading his adorably well drawn sign out loud, intentionally heralding her arrival to all those in earshot. "Always open if ya need me..." Smirking , Roxie placed the barrel of her baseball bat at the door and slowly pushed it open in an attempt to give whoever was inside a chance to quickly prepare for her entry. "Knock knock, Roxies here! Put on your smile and pull up your nickers!"
Dad
Alfonso He was busy checking out the stars and contemplating a divine meaning in them. He wondered if there was a sign on what he should eat for lunch. "Can any of the constellations tell me if I should have a burger or a taco?" "You really are a riot, Alfonso," Altiana said with a chuckle. "Oh. I sense someone coming." "I'm thinking I just have both. A burgaco? Tacurger? A tabur--eh?" "Knock knock, Roxies here! Put on your smile and pull up your nickers!" "What'd ya take me for, some kind of perv--ohhhhhhhhh crap." He recognized that voice only after she stepped in the room. Though his pants were up, and he was decent and doing nothing. . .inappropriate, Alfonso still became very tense and nervous. He began to stammer, trying to hopelessly utter words, to tell Roxie it was okay to come in, even though she was now standing in his doorway. "Alfonso!" Altiana said in his head. "Get yourself together, mister. I swear, you children." She was unfortunately embarrassed for Alfonso, despite having nothing to do with his uncontrollable emotions and hormones. Alfonso breathed deep, and tried to compose himself. He hopped out of bed, and stood up straight, fixing his shirt. "Heh. Uh, 'I'm decent', haha," he said in a jokingly squeaky voice. He waved from across the room, further embarrassing himself. Altiana finally forced him to move, as his weak feelings couldn't hold her back. She brought him a bit closer to Roxie, enough to shake her hand. "Uh! Uh! UH! I'mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Alfonso! Sorry, don't think we had the uh--ehem--chance to properly meet. Heh." Finally, he stuck out a hand, hoping Roxie wouldn't give him a bat to the face instead, for his rather abrasive behavior. "I'll never know what you see in her, Alfonso," Altiana chimed in his thoughts. "Honestly, earth women are so bland. I could introduce you to my sister some time, if this doesn't work out for you." Alfonso screamed in his head. "YOU'RE AN ALIEN!" "Well. That was rude."
Hälō
"Uh! Uh! UH! I'mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Alfonso! Sorry, don't think we had the uh--ehem--chance to properly meet. Heh." Roxie couldn’t help but crack a smile at Alfonso’s antics. Had he never met a girl before? Glancing down at his extended hand, she instantly noted it was black- jet black in fact. But that didn’t bother her much; she was a freak herself right? So who was she to judge… “Nice to meet yo-” She brought up her right hand to shake but realized she was still holding her half eaten doughnut, leaving both her hands full due to the fact that she was almost always holding her bat. After taking a moment to glance between the doughnut and her weapon a few times, Roxie’s face lit up in a rather adorable fashion, signifying that she had gotten an idea. Smirking, she raised doughnut so that it was at shoulder level and began charging it with kinetic energy. As always her eyes began to glow a brilliant yellow, and the object she was charging began to be enveloped in a purple aura that seemed to vibrate as she continued to convert more of the object’s potential energy to kinetic energy. Given it’s size and density, the doughnut could only withstand so much energy, and within seconds the pastry exploded in a small contained flash of purple light that dissipated harmlessly in the girls tiny hand, leaving no traces. Giggling slightly at the explosion, Roxie then extended her now free hand towards Alfonso’s and shook it hardly. “Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso…” She toyed with the boy’s name; her accent giving off the impression that it was far more foreign to her then it actually was. “I think I’ll just call you, Alfy! Like the alien…” She finally readdressed her new teammate, still holding his hand lightly. “That alright with you, Alfy?” Only half listening to Alonso’s response, Roxie then flicked her hair to the side and began walking towards the hallway, dragging the poor lad by his arm as she did so. Stepping out into the room the Titans had originally met in, Roxie released the boy’s arm, now raising her hand to her mouth to amply her voice. “Blake!” “Kiara-love!” “Frenchy!” “We have all night to lay around in our beds… Come out here and socialize a bit will ya?” Satisfied that all her roommates had heard her summons, Roxie hopped up onto the nearest table and waited for them to assemble; taking extra care to cross her legs as to not give anyone a free show. Dad
He had totally forgotten about his hands actually. To his preferred surprise, Roxie didn't turn it down. Instead, she did something that only infatuated him further. As the doughnut in her hands evaporated, he noticed her eyes turn a beautiful shade of yellow. "Woah," he thought to himself. Plus ten super hot points. “I think I’ll just call you, Alfy! Like the alien…” Alfonso only nodded, his mouth slightly agape. “That alright with you, Alfy?” "That's perfectly alright with me," he said slowly. Then she proceeded to accidentally flirt with Alfonso further, flicking her lush blonde hair over her shoulder, before dragging the boy into the hallway. "Ohhhh, man! I'm freaking out!" he was still thinking. When Roxie finally let go of his hand, he was visibly shaking, and immediately stuffed his hands in his pockets. Thankfully, the moment became really awkward when she called the other Titans into the hallway. Alfonso began contemplating what to say or do that would impress Roxie. But then, Sybil's voice rang out in his head. "No getting with teammates. I almost forgot. Wait, why am I even complaining? A girl like that would be interested in someone like Blake. Bold. Strong. Rich. I wouldn't have a chance anyway, heh." He sighed aloud, visibly more depressed than just a moment ago when he was obviously extremely happy. Instead, he sat on the ground to Roxie's right and rest his head on the table. He drew his hands out of his pockets now, glad they weren't still rattling with nerves. A spark lit up on his fingertip, as a very tiny light appeared from it. "You really must have more confidence in yourself, Alfonso." Altiana of course hated to see him down. Their relationship was strong, and this effected her as well. She didn't want to have her best friend moping around. Even though most of their communication was in his head, it helped that he basically always had someone to talk to. "Yeah, I know. I've never exactly been good with girls though, as you can see." His thoughts actually mimicked his current emotional feelings quite well. "Oh, come on. You've managed to charm me. And I'm not even from your planet! That says a lot." A smile crept across Alfonso's face, and Altiana grunted, satisfied with her efforts. A miniscule star birthed on his finger tip, not requiring much of his own strength, but brilliantly shining as if it were a star conjured at full power. He twirled it around, trying to lose himself in the star's brilliance without his mind wavering to things he could not and should not find interest in. But he couldn't help it. Even the star's glow made him think about the girl right behind him. Maybe if he thought about food? Tossing the tiny star into the air, it slowly dissipated, and Alfonso pulled out his Titan communicator and began fiddling with that instead now. "Those guys better hurry up," he said casually. "I'm starved." Altiana was impressed just slightly at Alfonso's composure. He had managed to not say or do anything stupid at least. "Well," she said in his head. "At least you got to shake her hand, right?" "Yeah. I guess. But I'm gonna have to focus. I hope we go on a mission soon. I need to clear my head." "Well, that's the first time you've wanted to work since I've met you." "YOU'RE NOT HELPING."
Mr. Hyde
"Actually, most materials can't block out a telepath. Maybe if you can get your hands on some Nth Metal, but yeah maybe those white noise generators would work. In my experience though, the best way to keep out telepaths is a disciplined mental protection. I can try and teach you sometime, if you like?" Blake nodded. "I would be glad to try and strengthen my mind beyond the realm of intelligence. I'm glad that you'd be so willing to help me with that." Maybe with that disciplined mind, he would stop having flashbacks of being helpless in outer space. He gave a sigh of relief when Kiara mentioned not seeing that in his mind's eye either. "I'm still a pretty inexperience telepath, so it takes me awhile to actually make my way into a person's stored memories. Mostly I can only access a person's most recent thoughts and sort of empath strong emotions and personality traits. Anyway, I'm gonna go check out my room. I'll talk to you later." And like that, she had disappeared from his room. "That's one teammate down....Now how do I go about befriending the others?" Soon, a shout could be heard within the hallway. “Blake! Kiara-love! Frenchy! We have all night to lay around in our beds… Come out here and socialize a bit will ya?” Blake sighed. He had thought they had just done that a couple of minutes ago. Then again, introductions aren't necessarily forms of socialization. Blake removed his helmet, he had practically forgotten he had put it on. He went back to his mirror, and replaced the skin patch hastily. He headed out into the hallway to see Roxie dragging Alfonso into the living room. Blake kept his eyes shut, and his arms crossed, as he made his way enthusiastically behind the two. Roxie sat on a table, and Alfonso laid down on the floor next to it. Blake opened his left eye, and only his left eye. "Oh boy...are we going to play board games or DDR32?" the sarcasm was laid on thickly. Sighing, he readjusted his glasses. "Seriously though, I was reading up on this towers' security systems. We can't be safe unless I have the knowledge to protect us. Socializing refrains me from doing so, so lets make this quick alright?"
