Not too bad, being able to avoid using too many cards to blow stuff up could be useful, also interesting that they gave it a second effect too, could be nice as well. I don't think it will spark people's interest in them too much, but it's not a bad card either.

EDIT:
I didn't really think of this, but when your opponent attacks into you with backrow, you can Special Summon this and get all your guys out. Plus, it's an out to Denko Sekka.

Because this has 1800, so you can wait for them to attack directly and drop it.

You sure you're not just gonna drop it then trigger all your Artifacts?

(Note, dropping it on direct attack is still special summoning during the opponent's turn)

Damn, after reading the thread title I was hoping for an offensive/disruptive Artifact to compensate Moralltach's Limited status. Instead, this is a walking Malevolent Catasthrope. That aside, not much else to add that hasn't been already mentioned: it greatly helps the archetype and "pure variants", it's somewhat of an out against Denko, plus I guess it can save your from OTKs every now and then.

Wiki:

Vajra is a Sanskrit word meaning both thunderbolt and diamond. Additionally, it is a weapon which is used as a ritual object to symbolize both the properties of a diamond (indestructibility) and a thunderbolt (irresistible force).

....I like how both of these, basically, play into This card's effect.

None of which, barring Moralltach, actually get rid of Sekka, which was the purpose of the inquiry.

You don't understand.

That's not what they mean by being an out to Denko.

If you're playing Artifacts, you have to destroy them on your opponent's turn.  How do you do that?  Well aside from Absorb Jar, you use Spell and Trap Cards.  If a Denko drops and you don't have a Warning (assuming you even play warning in Artifacts) then you literally cannot play the game until you find a way to get rid of Denko.  Pure Artifacts have no outs to this.

Until now.

Now we have a way to trigger our destructions without setting backrow.  That's what they mean by "being an out to Denko", cuz before our only outs in Pure-ish artifacts were the tech Absorb Jars and the occasional Raigeki

rip the red shitty one?

No.  It means you can run less of him though.  Remember this thing destroys all cards in your set zone.  Unless everything in your set zone is an Artifact monster, and you indeed have enough room to summon all of them, this is not better.

Times when Beagalltach might be better:

  • you only have 1 other artifact set
  • You already have a pretty full field of monsters, and you don't have enough room for them all.
  • You only want to trigger 1 effect and play it safe
  • You have a bunch of other things set like MSTs, Ignitions, Double Cyclones, Malevolent Catastrophes that you don't want to destroy as you might need them later.
  • You have a Set Caduceus and already have another Caduceus out on the field.

It's not "better" than Beagalltach, nor is it worse.

You should really compare it to Malevolent Catastrophe, since they pretty much have the exact same role and situation.

Except until Denko is off the board, you can't set NEW Artifacts, which means you're back to being stalled seeing as many of the Artifacts can't run her over.

But every single Artifact except Beagalltach, Aegis, Achilles, and Caduceus can attack over it (you shouldn't even be attacking with those 4 anyway though), and even then it still lets you potentially make something.  Plus this thing in itself can get over denko, and so unless they remove it from the field, you can just attack over the denko with Vajra, cuz remember Denko is a 2 way street.  They can't set anything either.

Vajra's effect is also not reliant on your backrow.  You can splash it from your hand on a direct attack with 0 backrow and just destroy nothing.

It's kind of cool against Shaddoll, because if you have Scythe set and they decide to direct attack you, they have to play their quickplay fusion, and if you also have a Morall, then their Construct says bye (unfortunate as it is that they get their Fusion back, but HEY, that's 2 Constructs in the graveyard)
