Lightly Prayers

Atypical-Abbie

Recommended Posts

A general support card for LIGHT Decks, able to protect from banishing, as well as boosting their ATK/DEF and recycling.

When a LIGHT monster(s) you control is destroyed by your opponent’s card (either by battle or card effect): You can place 1 Lightpray Counter on this card. During the End Phase: You can remove any number of Lightpray Counters from this card, then target LIGHT monsters in your Graveyard equal to the number of Lightpray Counters removed; shuffle them into the Deck, then all LIGHT monsters you control gain ATK and DEF equal to the number shuffled into the Deck x 300. If a LIGHT monster(s) you control would be banished you can remove 1 Lightpray Counter from this card instead for each of those monsters.

because that's what lightsworns need. even more consistency.

non-existance would be preferable, but more consistency works too.

How does this make them more consistent? I don't think you understand the definition of consistency, cause this makes it more INCONSISTENT actually. It's a worse Lightsworn Sanctuary at best, and they don't even run that.

That being said, I don't see an effective Deck this could go in. If it triggered off of banishing, I could see a ton of synergy with stuff like Lightrays and Agents, but as it is, it feels rather slow and dependant on the opponent, something you generally don't want in a card nowadays. It's a card that has potential, but strongly suffers from a speed loss that as is seems like it will get in the way

This lets you recycle Judgement back into your deck if it hits the grave. I'd say that's something, no?

Not that great, also, again, it depends on your opponent. You either have to crash your monster or wait for your opponent to attack you, then get to YOUR End Phase to trigger it. All of this and either the card can be milled or at any time you can be MST'd. Lightsworns usually don't take slow cards unless it has a MAJOR benefit IE Eclipse Wyvern

I'm not exactly impressed by this card, unfortunately. I feel as though you really are losing out with the speed this card lacks. You have to wait til your End Phase, you have to either crash or wait on your opponent, and all for recycling and an ATK boost. It all is nice stuff, but when it is this slow, it isn't exactly good at all. The banishing safety also feels random, as in some cases, LIGHTs want to be banished for the synergy that is has with other cards they have. Even if this wasn't the case, there aren't that many banishing cards right now, outside of Karma Cut in BA and in the future Magispecter I actually think there are literally none that are currently a thing. I would recommend, as it may have mentioned above, let it trigger off of banishing, as at the very least you then have some room for stuff with Lightrays and Agents would make for a beautiful run with this card. Alas, as it is, I really can't think of a Deck that could use it effectively cause of how slow it is and it relies a bit too much on the opponent as is.
