Dad
"I would say 'Eyes on the Prize', but as you can see, I don't have eyes."Personal Information Name: Basil ThorneGender: MaleAge: 17Species: Human

While merely human, Basil has powerful magical abilities derived from Shamanism. However, his power is partially dependent on his virtuous nature, thus his abilities will diminish if he tries to use them for his own greed. He also refuses to kill. Whisperer of All ThingsReaching the pinnacle of Shamanism, Basil has the ability to communicate with anything, from animals, to inanimate objects, to spirits and the dead. While he must speak with his mouth, the volume of his voice doesn't matter, and the words are merely a ritual and he conveys his feelings and intentions to the target through a telepathic link. This is an ability that allows him to try to convince animals, objects and spirits to help him. For example, he could ask a sword not to cut him. Because Basil is loved by the world and his intentions are pure, most things will do his bidding unless they have a reason not to, for example, a sword may hold loyalty to its owner. Main applications of this ability include:Unlimited Knowledge: "Oh spirits, I inquire of thee..." Basil has access to the knowledge of everything around him. Because of this, he can perceive things without seeing them. Using this, it is not possible to hide from him, except with magic. This ability also helps him dodge incoming attacks.Zephyr Flight: "Oh wind, lift me up." He asks the wind and air itself to let him fly.Structure Formation: "Oh rocks, oh trees..., create..." He can bend things around him at will. Usually, this is used to manipulate the terrain or create some sort of defensive barrier.Visual Illusions: "Oh light..." He can bend light in order to camouflage himself. When standing still, it approaches the level of invisibility, however it can be easy to perceive him when he's moving. The weakness of this ability is that Basil cannot lie to anyone or anything he speaks to using this method, and he must remain pure of heart. He can only give one command at a time, and he must visualize in his head what he intends. The greater the request, the longer he must speak to the receiver of the request. Astral FormBasil can leave his body to wander while his body enters a trance. While his spirit is within ten meters of his body, he can also give his spirit a physical form (identical to his real appearance). His spirit becomes visible, although it is blue and transparent. The physical form of his spirit possesses great physical strength and speed, and it is extremely durable, allowing Basil to block attacks with this ability. The power is quite draining so he doesn't use it if he doesn't need to. At most he can maintain it for 30 seconds.
This is super funking cool. I do have to question all knowledge though. If he does have all knowledge, does this allow him to already know every inherent strength and weakness of his foe? It's a huge power boost if he already knows his foe inside and out. That being said, he has to be able to act on that. I do love the app though. Looking forward to more. Mareneus Authurus Calgar is complete. Just thought I'd say. Understood. Already giving applications and W.I.P.s a once over. I'll have an update with date / time for when we are ready to begin. And if you don't realize already, you are able to create more than 1 character if you so wish.

Dad
Mareneus Authurus Calgar is complete. Just thought I'd say. VK. It's come to my attention that Mareneus Calgar is not an original creation of yours. Perhaps the application was not clear, but you must create an original character or cite one from a role-play you've used said character in before. You are not allowed to use a Warhammer40k character (as awesome as he is) to be your character in the Secret Cup Tournament. I'm going to have to decline Calgar without further review. You may however, develop an original character of any race or breed you can think of (within the application parameters of course) to enter into the tournament. You can create aliens, you can create dinosaurs, full a.i. mecha, giants, living lightning entities, etc. You have a lot of room to let your imagination run wild. Try to create something fun and unique and stick with us.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
Personal InformationName: Robert Eschalotte (Lotte)Gender: MaleAge: 14Species: Guardian
Lotte's physical appearance is that of a young, extremely feminine-looking boy with long flowing blonde hair and large, vacant blue eyes. Porcelain-like white skin clad him from head to toe, giving him a somewhat eerie appearance if inspected up close, but good enough to pass as fully human other times. Then again, considering he is always clad in his signature white cloak, his skin wouldn't be immediately apparent anyways. Lotte, for all intents and purposes, can easily pass as female. His facial features are very feminine, his voice is rather high-pitched and squeaky, and overall, he does very much look like a young girl instead of a young boy. He doesn't seem to mind getting mistaken though, but then again, he rarely ever minds anything.
Roughly 14 years prior to present day, the individual known as Robert Eschalotte was born into the world. Most of Lotte's backstory is relatively unknown to the world, only that he is the son of an incredibly rich couple who lives in absolute luxury. When he was young, an incident involving a hit-and-run caused Eschalotte to develop strange powers, namely the ability to suddenly summon a massive fist out of thin air. At first, he is scared. It's to be expected of course. In his fear, Lotte started acting out on others, believing himself to be cursed, attacking random people he sees, though luckily with non-fatal blows. Later on, Lotte is told by his father that he is not, in fact, a normal human. Rather, he is part of a race known as "Guardian".
Guardians are a humanoid race for the most part, similar to the Magis. The main difference between a Guardian and a Magi is that, instead of having an affinity for magic, Guardians are bestowed with the ability to summon weapons, as well as access a pocket dimension to store said weapons. All Guardians are born with this power, and the 10 weapons given to them at birth are unique to each other. However, the process to unlocking these 10 weapons are a difficult process, and only exceptionally talented Guardians can unlock them. Additionally, powerful, high-ranking Guardians can be given a special power from the so-called "King" of all Guardians. Lotte's father is a rather powerful Guardian, capable of using 8 out of 10 weapons. Upon turning 12, Lotte's father subjected him to a training regimen to refine his Guardian abilities, eventually unlocking 5 weapons by the time the Secret Cup tournament is announced. The invite was actually given to Robert's father as he is a rather renowed fighter in his youth, but he declined, instead sending his son to join. Since Lotte's training is incomplete, his father had to invoke a rather forbidden technique among the Guardians to ensure his son isn't killed in battle; Transferring of his designated power to Lotte. Armed with 5 holy weapons, as well as the designated power "The Deja Vu", Lotte heads out to the tournament, not with the intent of keeping his "Eyes on the Prize" like many others, but simply to try out his Guardian powers against strong fighters. However, it is rather unclear whether he is truly only out for fighting, or if he has other motives. His father did mention that Guardians and Magis used to be at odds in the past...
"Try to remember how to dodge next time, you stupid jabroni~" To put it simply, Lotte is an arrogant little brat. He's sarcastic and rude, believing his powers to be superior above all others. To give an example on his arrogance, he would often declare that he would finish off his opponents without laying a single finger on them, instead only using his holy weapons. Naturally, his condescending personality makes it difficult for him to bond with others and make friends. Despite this, Lotte can still be seen as a cheery kid. Cheery, and also incredibly creepy at times since his chesire cat-like grin would often still be present as he states morbid things. Despite his cheery smile, lighthearted tone, and relatively flighty attitude, Lotte's words are brash and often vulgar. Honor isn't exactly a thing in Lotte's mind, as he is a combat pragmatist to the highest degree. He'll kick you while you're down, he'll attempt to plead, manipulate and cheat his way to achieve victory, and he'll be gleefully smiling as he does so. Nothing is off-limits in combat with Lotte, to put it simply. Most of these can be attributed to Lotte's training with his father, however. See, Guardians aren't exactly known for being the nicest race when in battle. Off combat however, aside from being a bit of an arrogant little snot, he's not exactly malicious. If anyone is able to put up with his asteroid-sized ego, he's more than willing to open up to that person. And at that point, one can easily see that despite everything, he really is just a little kid. A little kid with far too much power, and a little kid who apparently watches one too many mature movies if his language if to go by. Lotte is innocent. The scope of his world is for the most part limited to fighting, but outside of that, he shares common interests with other kids his age. He's excitable and gleeful, he dislikes getting hurt and so on. Once he finds somebody who he builds an affinity with, he would be very affectionate to that person. All in all, friendly Lotte and battle Lotte is worlds apart. One is a cheery affectionate kid, the other is a creepy, eerie combat pragmatist who isn't afraid to kick a stone in the eye of a downed foe.

Unique among the other fighters, Lotte has no unique direct combat-related abilities at all, instead he simply uses 10 weapons he has collected from all over the world as his powers, used in conjunction with his own species's main power that is hammerspace summoning. To explain, his main, primary power, is that of binding objects to his name, and then later summoning said weapon through a hammerspace portal. However, there are some rather debilitating limitations to this power. Namely, he can only ever summon 2 weapons at once, and he can't use the same weapon in rapid succession. Combined with the 1 second delay between each is use, a close-ranged fighter who is adept at pressuring can easily outplay Lotte's arsenal. At the start of the Tournament, Lotte only has access to 5 of his 10 weapons, because his powers have not yet fully developed to hold the full 10.
Mash - A giant, armoured fist roughly 4 meters in height. Usually fired out of his portal at high speeds, and is more than strong enough to launch adults flying, as well as shatter their bones if it connects cleanly. He can use the back of this fist as an armor of sorts, as it is thick enough to deflect bullets. It appears to be made of wood, with the armor being metal.Dice - A large blade, similar in shape to a kitchen knife that extends out of Lotte's arm. Despite being a kitchen knife, it has 3 large circular holes across the blade, which is good because it reduces weight, but also makes it more brittle, and less effective as a crushing tool. It is quite slow and unwieldy, making it not an obvious choice in combat. However, it is still a giant knife that can slice through stuff. Usually used in conjunction with Jail to ensure it hits the target.Jail - Lotte can construct an opaque, box-like object around a person or object, roughly 6x6x6 meters in size. However, this power is not absolute. There's roughly a 2 second delay between it being cast and the box fully assembling itself around the target, giving plenty of time to escape. And even if it does fully enclose, it can be broken through with enough brute strength.Seiku - Unique from all the other weapons in that this one has no offensive use, Seiku is a pair of energy wings that manifests itself on Lotte's back. When in use, it greatly increases his overall speed, as well as give him the ability to fly. Lotte is especially fond of Seiku, usually opting to keep it on during most of his battles, even though it would reduce his effectiveness in combat.Core - When not using Seiku, Lotte's primary Weapon is Core. It takes the form of a large, pincer-like weapon (as seen in the picture) with enough to force to bifurcate anything trapped in it. However, it also has another use in that it can unfold to reveal a gigantic gun that fires off powerful shells that explode upon contact, similar in strength to an RPG. The gun is so heavy that it is basically unusable unless Seiku is active, and even then it isn't all that accurate. Core also has a second mode, in which the blade itself extends to around 10 times its original length at high speeds, before retracting itself just as quick. For some reason though, Lotte is reluctant to use this power.
Lotte's designated power, inherited from his father Ludwig Eschalotte. This ability allows Lotte to turn his last 10 seconds into a reality. For instance, if Lotte is standing at point A firing into point C with Core, and then 10 seconds later he moves to point B to fire once more. Normally, the first shot fired by Core would disappear. However, with The Deja Vu, the shot fired from line AC 10 seconds ago becomes a reality once more, meaning now there are two shots from points A and B heading to point C. Of course, this power can be looped indefinitely, but it gets progressively more chaotic and tiring. This ability's primary weakness is that, if at any point Lotte uses a weapon that is attached to himself, his past self would also appear and be a sitting duck for his opponent. Hence, Dice and Core's second form are not preferred by Lotte, instead preferring to spam his gun and his giant fist.
Maeriberii Haan
"Science and magic's not really different. They're the same thing with a slightly different focus basically, yet the two kept on trying to disprove each other. I'm on the side of magic, by the way." Name: Arisu ItakuraGender: FemaleAge: 19 when she last counted. She had no idea on how old she is at the moment.Species: Celestial Magi Formerly human, now technically a lich.
Arisu is around 162 centimeters tall, and her build was pretty similar to the usual teenagers. She has short, silver-ish blue hair with bright, scarlet eyes. She usually wears a buttoned white shirt and black semi-short skirt, while also wearing a blazer with a matching color to her skirt. She usually wears gloves and mountain boots everywhere, but she casts the gloves off whenever she’s reading.
Arisu was a normal university student with a quite unique interest, ancient alchemy and arcane magic. Unlike most people that only shown some interest to it and looked up about it for a bit in the internet or books, especially with the the science of Chemistry being already filling its spot as a more ‘rational’ approach to alchemy, Arisu still believed that the alchemy like how people in the past imagined it was right, and determined to learn more and more about it, to try creating the fabled item called Philosopher’s Stone. After an experience that felt like a Dream, or a Dream that felt like an experience, she wasn't really sure about that, Arisu found the inspiration of a way to replicate the Philosopher Stone she got there in real life. After what amount to be an everlasting ages of trying and a lot of experiment with souls, she succeeded. Amount of people she used to power that stone was not specified. It also allows her to channel magic properly like an actual Magi would, and it ended up awakening her actual unique type of magic. Being an uncreative person that she is, she labelled it as Illusion Magic, since it was what the ability was labelled as when she's in that Dream, even if she knew that it's something else entirely. Either way, years later, she overheard about the Secret Cup tournament thing, and not long after, a more proper invitation was sent to her. With as much money as that, Arisu immediately became spirited, as that much money could give her a lot more fuel to make many Philosopher stones, though a big thing that she's more curious about is the..other participants of the tournament itself. As she dedicated the rest of her life to study these kind of individuals, Arisu viewed it as enough incentive for her to participate aside from the huuuuuuuuuge money prize.
Best way to describe Arisu is that she’s an egocentric jerk that will not stop at any cost to pursue her goals, no matter who or what is in her way. She always believes that her ideas are the best solution for any problem. This made her really unpopular with other people, even if she usually means well. After some time, she caught up with this, and tried to put up a childish, whimsical persona as a front, to make her be able to get close with others. This made others think that she’s unreliable and underestimate her though, in the end. Arisu is a scholar at heart, a pursuer of knowledge. But despite of that, she believed that true knowledge could not be found only in books, but in experiments and nature itself, so she travelled a lot to study. But that doesn’t make her hate books. In fact, she loves reading. Reading and analyzing others too, and in combat, this ability is pretty important. Arisu is also heavily deluded, having difficulties in separating facts from fiction, reality from illusion. But she doesn’t care, and believes that her “Illusion” is actually her “Reality”. This was why she continue pursuing about magic despite everyone near her said that it’s impossible because it’s not real. Well, they're just ignorant to the fact around them in the end, much to Arisu's smug pride. The world was just as magical as the story books said, and Arisu was pretty much intent on making the story book called this world to revolve around her. She's the protagonist after all, no?

Her Philisopher's stone, which will be detailed in the other paragraph. When she's cautious, she'll use a submachine gun and state-of-the-art grenades instead. How does she get them? She stole them, of course. While not really a fan of that kind of weapon, citing them as too..."un-fantasy-like", she used them out of necessity.
Philosopher’s Stone: The pinnacle of Arisu’s entire dream. A blood-red stone made of solidified souls, including her own soul. Arisu could transmutate it into any melee weapons she could remember, but it will only have the properties of the standard weapon, aside from durability (the stone itself is very durable, but by no means unbreakable). She could also use it to reform her body when it was destroyed, using any materials that she could get around her, dirt and metal and other things included. It is also able to be used as a way to channel energies from leylines or other kind of magical power sources, mainly to give more power to her actual spells. This is also her weakness, as she used this to store her own soul, so if this goes pop she dies. She was trying to replicate this using the knowledge of alchemy that she had, so she could safely hide the one with her soul tucked inside it. She cannot use living things as material for her new body. "Illusion" Magic: As her entire life was all but her being deluded by the fantasy of the old, this manifested as this ability to create illusionary constructs to fool the opponents. These illusions does not work by playing around with the senses of the target, but it was also not actual phantom-like constructs. Illusion, in its purest form. How her power works is simple, yet potent. She projects her personal dream world, her stage, into the surrounding area (the area is around...15 meters in radius), and she could manipulate the realm to show anything that her imagination could conjure, but she couldn’t actually affect her foe directly due to her power only working to the bounded field of hers, and she couldn’t conjure a complex scenario. The people outside the area will see things as it is, not affected by the illusion. People can enter and exit the area without anything hampering them down. As it has been said however, this is not actually "Illusion" magic. it is best described as "Reality Warping" without actually affecting reality. The power to create [Fantasy] without creating anything. Though, she does have the ability to channel magic towards some of her illusion of non-living object to make them physical enough, but most of the things she end up doing this to ended up being pretty frail and will disintegrate not long after conjuration. Elemental Magic: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning. Pretty basic magic spells that she could conjure, but with her ability to use external power sources, they could be quite a force.
Aaand, done. Some things might still need to be reworked, but I think she's done.
VCR_CAT
I hope this is to your satisfaction! Name: Dirk Rider Gender: Male Age: 28 Species: MOSTLY human. "Government Property" let's say. Appearance: Standing at an even 6 feet tall, Dirk's a sight to behold. With his blonde hair styled in a show-y pompadour, side-burns framing his face, and a cigarette seemingly constantly sticking out of that smug grin on his face; Dirk wears his usual fashion of a faded, old leather jacket and faded, tight jeans with pride. Granted, this style will come across as mostly outdated to everyone he meets and who can blame them; high-top boots are more worn by goths now-a-days than anything, and who wears a fingerless glove on one hand anyways? But if there's one thing Dirk's got going for him, it's that this is an obsolete fashion that he owns as best as he can. Besides, new clothes are expensive anyways...
Dirk grew up in a fairly rich family in a good part of town, but of course this lead to a fairly boring childhood. Not content to simply follow the rules and live a life of luxury, Dirk was very rebellious as a kid and teen and preferred to rather get into his own stuff, and deal with things his own way. His parents, of course, never liked the long rebellious streak their son got himself into, but there really wasn't much they could do about it. His father never took enough time to be with his son, and his mother was always too busy with work; and it's not like there were other siblings to keep time from drifting. In his late teens, Dirk had a bad run-in with the cops; caught with a DUI and possession of some minor drugs. His friends got away, but Dirk himself was hauled off to the station. His parents never showed up to really bail him out. Given he was still technically a juvenile and that this was his first real offense, Dirk was placed in a teens-at-risk program under close supervision, and soon enough the career of being a police officer really stuck with him (the old movies he frequently watched really didn't hurt that either). Sooner or later, Detective Dirk Rider was roaming the streets looking for criminals to put behind bars. Detective Rider was a loose cannon that bent all the rules and had only one code that he lived by: His own. Despite all the perps he managed to aprehend, this was real life and simply being successful at your job as a police officer wasn't enough; if you weren't properly doing all the work, then the office didn't want anything to do with you. Sometimes there simply wasn't enough evidence to justify his arrests, whether they were justified or not. So despite the results, the job really did not cut it out for him and he still wasn't allowed to do his own thing. After losing his job, things went downhill and Dirk found himself in bar fight after bar fight. If the cops hadn't known him by name before, they sure as hell would now. After almost being hospitalized by a drop too close to alcohol poisoning, Dirk was approached by a mysterious man representing a mysterious company; said they had their eyes on him for a while now. Dirk was selected as one of many candidates for a new program to speed up the process of training new soldiers while also giving them access to... a wide arrange of new abilities. The program offered a healthy compensation for being a test subject that they would collect data from for most of Dirk's remaining life; and after not reading the fine print and being a poor drunkard who frequently got in bar fights, Dirk more than willingly signed up. The experiments were almost a failure, and multiple times Dirk almost lost his life in surgery. But now, walking out a new man with a new ability, Dirk felt like he was given a new lease on life. The curious thing was, though, it wasn't long after the testing, experiments, and training that Dirk was handed a letter, inviting him to the first annual Secret Cup Tournament...

If you couldn't tell already, this'll spell it out easy: Dirk's a loose cannon who lives by his own rules, and has an ego much larger than his pompadour. On top of his blatant chauvinism and incredibly self-centered attitude, Dirk also has a bit of an addictive personality and is often latched onto one thing or another; sometimes it's as harmless as coffee, sometimes it's something much worse. Dirk's also incredibly competitive when it comes to shows of strength and "Manliness". This, of course, would explain a lot of the bar-fights, while a lot of others would just be Dirk trying to find an outlet to let off some steam. It can't be said that Dirk really knows what it means to be close to anyone, or really what a real friendship looks like; much of his teenage-hood was spent doing what feels good and going with the flow to whatever satisfied his own desires. Nothing that really worked towards a strong relationship with any one person, or anything beyond a few one-night stands. Getting the muck out of the way, this isn't to say that Dirk's necessarily a bad person. Sure he's a bit of an asshole most of the time (okay a lot of the time); but there was genuine interest in being a police officer so he could get the right thing done and get the bad guys in prison. Despite his track-record, Dirk still has a decent enough moral compass that he has a strong sense of wanting to do the right thing and make sure that justice will be served one way or another. Of course, despite his stubborn, thick-headed-ness in wanting to get things done his way, this is still accomplished one way or another, even if it doesn't work out in the long-run.

Dust Rider: Simply calling this junker a "Pistol" or "Revolver" does not justify its... girth. The Dust Rider is a hand-cannon, plain and simple. A big pistol meant to get one job done: Launch specialized ammo that was almost miniature missiles than bullets and plant right in the stupid skulls of stupid dudes with stupid weapons. When lethal force is allowed, of course. But really, let's get the stats down low: The Dust Rider fires special rocket-propelled bullets; much larger than a regular bullet, but still small enough to fit inside basically an oversized pistol. The rocket-propelled part is to make sure the gun can be fired without too much kickback and still deliver and hefty punch in its package. Each bullet is explosive, but is too small for those explosions to even compare to that of a rocket launcher.

Just a Combat Knife: It's really just a combat knife.

Enhanced Physique: Thanks to the experiments, Dirk's strength and reflexes are boosted beyond that of a normal human's. Nothing utterly jaw-dropping, but definitely nothing normal to be seen here. Cyber Stamina: With great strength comes great endurance. With abnormal strength comes abnormal stamina and endurance. Simply put, Dirk can take more of a beating than a normal human and still keep on going. Unfortunately, this doesn't include self-healing. Hard Glow: This is where things get a little jaw-dropping. Dirk appears to have the ability to bind and manipulate photons into molecular structures with a solid presence. This ability allows Dirk to create some very limited "Light" constructs; typically power gloves to beat up targets, or a light-sword of some kind. This power, of course, has very limited ranged capabilities, and the constructs created are not as strong as the real metal-and-electronics deal, yet they'll still pack a punch. Often literally. Neon Burst: Another power that seems to be in the vein of Hard Glow, yet in its own path. Neon Burst let's Dirk overclock his reflexes, strength, and stamina in a sort of super-adrenaline blast for a short period, but with a real rough crash afterward. Best used strategically or as a last-ditch effort, Neon Burst is the definition of high-risk high-reward and still has its good uses.

Sorry Nai for using your beloved Koishi, but i love her design. Looking pretty damn awesome guys. Interest is piqued. Just to clear up some things, I'm hoping to get this started no later than Monday evening (5-7 pm Central Time) at the latest. If there are still W.I.P.'s at the time, the rp will start with the characters that have been accepted, and applications will remain open. In addition, just in case we don't reach 12 characters for the full tournament bracket, I will leave applications open then as well. And finally, for preemptive measure, I've decided not to confirm "accepted" characters until we're ready to begin. THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE BEEN DENIED. In fact it means most of you are already guaranteed a spot. I have, however, thought that in the case of getting more or less than the amount of characters/players desired, it would be best to wait until the last moment to confirm entries. So, if you guys have W.I.P.s, get to em as soon as you can. And don't worry if you can't finish them by tomorrow evening. The applications will remain open. Looking forward to playing with all of you.

Astolfo
Uh, wouldn't that third ability be like "screw you, you're a slave now." Most people wouldn't have any reason to hate your character anyways. Also, just wondering, but how strong of a hit can the ribbons take? And how fast do they move to block things? It is a bit unnecessary, but you never know how useful it could get. The ribbons would basically be a whip. And the blocking is very fast almost instant, so the way to go would be not using projectiles since she can stop them.Might remove the Soul of Love ability but idk, i wanted it to have something more
Astolfo
I was just wondering, because I thought of these two situations: 1) If someone uses a highly powerful (and possibly a projectile based) attack, no matter how fast the ribbons move, being blocked by ribbons out of all things seems sort of cheap/weird/unbelievable. 2) If someone has an attack faster than the ribbons, then logically, it would make it through. The max they can stop is around the size of a boulder, but the stopping of a boulder requires more ribbons so it keeps more spots open to attack. Dad
WHERE IS THE GOLDEN GATE HOTEL LOCATED?!?!?!? It's mentioned in the op, but yes it is San Francisco, CA.

Not sure how I missed Robert, seeing as how I've already been preparing brackets and his name is there. But, to be clear, Robert comes across as the most gamble centric character submitted so far. He's got a plethora of abilities that rely on his own timing, but can be spoiled easily if he's out maneuvered. A good trade-off, meaning high-risk but high pay off potential. Interest piqued. The Golden Gate Hotel was founded in 2020, by Gerald Dillinger, a maniacal and powerful pioneer of extraordinary ability. Located in San Francisco, California, it is the world’s largest hotel, at approximately 25,000 rooms. It is built in pieces, unlike most hotels, but sits as a single structure. The pieces are 3, enormous skyscrapers, showered in gold and platinum, built of the strongest steel. In the first tower, The East Gate, are 10,000 rooms, and it is primarily reserved for spectators and guests who are not aware or not participating in the tournament. In the center tower, the smallest of the 3, the North Tower, sits 5,000 rooms. These rooms house the wealthiest of the wealthy, and is nothing shy of luxurious as the rest of the establishment is. It too is showered in gold and platinum, with a lush red carpet to greet its guests. And lastly, in the West Tower, are a third and final setting of 10,000 rooms. It is perfectly symmetrical to the East Tower in amenities, appearance, and luxury. Each tower holds a full 24 hour bar, 24 hour room service, and an exclusive 24 hours buffet. There are gyms, indoor pools, and to top it all off, there is a theme park just behind the Golden Gate, accessible through the rear of any of the three towers. However, even though the Golden Gate Hotel is the mainstay of the tournament, it is only there to house participants, spectators, and guests. The true location of the tournament will not be set in one place. In fact, it will be set in a multitude of places. From space itself, high above the Earth, to the depths of the deepest ocean in a sunken city, The Secret Cup Tournament will never grow stale. Dangerous indigenous creatures await in each location. And Natives don’t often take kindly to strangers destroying their property. The true setting of the Secret Cup Tournament, is global. Just for clarity. Dad
My character, if not fighting will almost certainly be drinking tea. Right. Let's delve a little bit further into Madam Odette, shall we?
"A prize like this is only appropriate for a true lady!" Name: Odette Chrysalis Age: 20 Species: Human with elven origins
She's the apotheosis of eccentricity and her clothing expresses that. She has short light green hair and citrine eyes. The elven blood in her veins makes her seem younger than her real age. She wears a yellow blouse with aqua gems, a green and purple skirt with laces and a pair of white leggings. She also wears a pair of brown boots and a black hat with a green ribbon. She, despite the elven origins, is quite short standing at only 1.6 metres.

Odette was born in Alfheim but was soon sent to the human world to her human relatives, in Austria. Her relatives were quite rich and were the owners of a museum. She studied and lived as a normal person despite the unusual green hair. On her 18th birthday she received from her original parents a gift, the Eye of Gaea, an ancient artifact. She didn't know much about it and kept studying it and doing research, eventually discovering it's hidden powers. She then decided to become a scientist specialized in geology and biology. She, being very smart, got her degree earlier at 19. In her early 20s, she decided to move to London, the capital of tea! She continued her research on elven artifacts and eventually needed money if she wanted to continue her research. That's when she heard the rumors of this tournament, it was the perfect occasion. She could use her powerful artifact to annihilate every opponent and in the end gain money!

Odette is a pure diva, she must be the center of everyone's attention and be loved by everyone. She doesn't follow anyone's orders unless necessary. She's very smart. This doesn't mean that she isn't ladylike, she loves tea and precious things and never uses bad words. She can be very acid and you don't want to anger her. She as a scientist wants to know things and no one can stop her from doing so! She hates rude people and has a fear of darkness. She's very eccentric and adores everything that is shiny, ornate or excessively decorated.

The Eye of Gaea: This ancient elven artifact is her weapon and what holds all her abilities. It uses it's ribbons attached to it to attack. It can sense every projectile and stop it with a fancy blue ribbon. She can also use the ribbons to attack like whips or to eventually strangle the opponent.

The Eye of Gaea: [look at weapons] Seraph Lights: Another ability gifted by the eye, it allows her to place some sort of waypoint where she can teleport to at any time. Spirit of Love: The most powerful ability of the Eye, it allows her to make people adore her and serve her. This ability doesn't work against opponents or people that extremely hate her.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnLFbp1TRtU
Her favourite types of tea are Earl Grey and Prince of Wales. She likes classical music

Sorry Nai for using your beloved Koishi, but i love her design. I don't have too many gripes with this, but there are some things I'd like to cover. You did say the ribbons can "sense" any projectile, which isn't too big of a deal. You did clear up the strength of the ribbons, by saying at most they could stop a boulder. I'd wonder if the ribbons can stop something like a bullet, but I don't expect a ribbon would be faster than a bullet. Would that be fair to say? And the way points. There should be a maximum number of waypoints she can teleport too. Being able to bounce where ever and whenever you please is really powerful. At most, I'll allow 3 if you choose to keep that ability. As far as charming people, I'm not too certain about this. A free charm is already strong, but with the only way of blocking it being a "hatred" for Odette isn't too feasible. Now, if the ability can be shaken off by a strong willed / strong minded character--for example. a character that is psychic or a machine--that would be okay, but still very strong. I'm going to ask that you make one or two tweaks to tone this ability down Also, If I'm not mistaken (though I could be) your app is missing one tiny thing. Do me a favor and check the rules, and update your app with that little exception and you should be good to go.
Mr. Hyde
Thought i'd make a new character to round out the cast
Name: Elspire FerdinandGender: MaleAge: 20Species: Half-Dragon
Elspire, even though he is half dragon, prefers to stay in his human form, standing around 5"8' and weighing 200 lbs. Elspire's hair radiates a gold blonde that spikes up naturally. Normally one wouldn't be able to see, but Elspire's canines are far sharper and pointier than your average human, but not as defined as a vampire's. He wears a sky blue button-up that he doesn't even bother to button up. Underneath the shirt is a white v-neck t-shirt. He also wears White cargo shorts along with some styling white and purple shoes that sport a white lightning bolt across the side. The top half of his arms, and bottom half of his legs are covered with what seems to be a scale/fleshy hybrid material, as the scale structure can be seen, but it still looks fleshy.
Elspire's first memory is that of him as a baby, sitting alone in a cave. As he drew his first gasps of air, he was greeted to what was likely his mother, a giant Dragon. Elspire was confused, he didn't even resemble the creature that stood before him. Those thoughts were wisked away as the strange beast nuzzled him and fed him The Dragon's name was Niphron, and was one of the only surviving dragon's left in the world. A legendary thunder dragon was capable of living this long and thwarting attempts on her life! Growing up, Elspire had learned of his origins, but all his mother would tell him is that a monster hunter had come to slay her, but instead was fascinated with Niphron. Elspire always tried to gouge that last bit of information his mother always left out that happened later that night. His mother always said that she charmed the human as part of a plan to stay alive, but there were feelings behind his mothers eyes, Elspire could tell that much. She also told him that that was where he had received his last name, Ferdinand. Elspire grew up peacefully with his mother in the New Zealand countryside, and she taught him everything she knew. She taught him how to fly, eat elements, and even shoot out his own lightning breath! He replicated all of his mothers teachings the best he could humanly try, but he could feel his dragon blood boil as he practiced his skills. Peace was turned into sorrow when Elspire learned of his mother's true age. She had been roaming this earth for 2000 years, and was on the end of her lifespan. During her last days, she always said how the past 20 years were the happiest she had ever been, with her first child and legacy carrier being such a fine boy. As her physical form left the earth, her spirit had merged with Elspire's. He felt power surge through him, and his mothers warmth. The two would never be separated as long as Elspire lived on. He could also feel his ancestry course through his veins. On an outing to the city, a strange hooded man bumped into him. Without saying pardon me or excuse you, a paper was stuffed into his face. It was an advertisement for a tournament of champions in the United States. A large sum of money was on the line. Elspire thought that with that much money, he could launch a hunt for his father! Maybe he could finally meet the man that had a helping hand in creating him, and might be able to tell him what happened after he met mom!
Growing up without the positive male role model in his life made Elspire quite the Momma's boy. He respects women to a fault. He is also quite the loner, as he was raised in a cave for his whole life. Elspire is also kind of a bum, although he still likes to maintain personal body cleanliness. This just means that he can get by without luxuries or anything of the sort. He is also not a fan of ne'er-do-wells, seeing as he is a dragon. Most dragons are in favor of justice, and he despises everything evil. He also doesn't like technology much, he prefers the clouds to a t.v. He is also not a fan of weaponry, as his mother told tales of what humans did to each other with the mighty weapons they had created. He was more a fan of using his own abilities anyways. Weapon(s) of choice: N/A
Roar of the Lightning Dragon: Elspire Can shoot Lightning from his mouth in a stream of electric energy. This ability also allows him to ingest other elemental attacks, although ingesting anything but lightning will give him a stomach ache. Is only to ingest a few elemental attacks before he becomes full of elemental energy.Straight of the Lightning Dragon: Elspire can manifest his electric energy into physical force, amplifying his blows with attacks fueled by plasmaDragon Blood: The dragon blood flowing through his veins allows Elspire to lift 2 tons, gives him enhanced agility and durability, and have all around enhanced senses (ie. smelling, sight, perception).Dragon Form!: With the spirit of his mother, and overwhelmingly strong dragon blood, Elspire can harness those two focal points of energy to change his physical make-up into that of an anthropomorphic golden dragon. He retains the size of Elspire's human size, but grows wings, a dragonic face, a tail, and real dragon scales. While in this form, Elspire's abilities are increased by 50% and his lightning projections are more powerful. Elspire cannot maintain this form long (a max of 10 minutes), and if he takes drastic damage in this form, he can lose sensitivity to his mother's spirit and dragon blood. Dad
P: *calls 911* Yeah, uh, shots fired in my thread yo. But you do have a point. Perhaps I should change the op to say that images are okay. I'll do that now to entice peeps to use the resources thread. I'll also add a link to the OP.
