2 Level 4 monsters

While this card has an Xyz Material that was originally Fairy-Type WATER, it cannot be destroyed by battle or be targeted by card effect. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up Spell/Trap card on the field; negate its effects and Set it face-down. That card cannot be activated for the rest of this turn.

[spoiler='Card B']

Once per turn, during your Main Phase: If your opponent controls a monster, and all the monsters on your side of the field and in your Graveyard are LIGHT and/or DARK; you can target 1 monster in your opponent Graveyard and shuffle it into the deck, then Special Summon this card (from your hand). This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster except for the Synchro Summon of a LIGHT or DARK Synchro monster. While this card is in the Graveyard: Its Attribute becomes DARK.

Card A:

Generic Xyz Material requirements is neat, and while the effect s subpar, it has a couple of things going for it. Requiring specifically a WATER Fairy-Type for its first effect slightly hurts it since there are few monster with this Attribute/Type combination; on the other hand, Noden is a WATER Fairy and that monster is quite splashable and sets Rank 4s by itself, so pretty much any Rank-4 deck would be able to drop this with is protection effect enabled. Then, 2200 ATK may not be really high for a Rank 4, but it has its perks like allowing the card to beat opposing #101s and "bypass" Blackship's effect, and it becomes more solid when it is backed up by its protection effect.

However, the effect is not really impressive: Yes, it can stop cards activated right at the moment, floodgates or other Continuous S/T, but only for and turn, and thus it is a temporary solution but doesn't remove the problem. It would have been more effective if, let's say, it locked the targeted S/T face-down while this card remained on the field, or even permanently. But still, this card can delay a floodgate or other card that would otherwise ruin your plays or a push so it is not entirely worthless.

Card B:

Looks like a decent Synchro tool for Light, Dark and Chaos decks, and the slight graveyard disruption should be welcomed. The only issue I see in this card is the requirements of LIGHT/DARK monsters in the field and grave, which will discourage you from summoning generic monsters without those attributes if you want to drop copies of this card for free, and not going for those monsters just for the sake of this card isn't worth it in my opinion. In other words, it limits your options in a similar way to Solidarity (except less strict of course, as you have free access to 2 Attributes).

I vote for Card A because Noden support makes it playable, and even if its second effect is not that great, it can become a quite impervious wall with its protection effect.

Well, let's see.

Card A: Off the top of my head, the only WATER Fairy-Type I can think of is Elder God Noden, which has a lot of prominence in Korea, but it isn't TCG. But for fairness, I'll avoid the technicallities. The Art is nice, and it looks like a card that Konami would make. I have some problems with the card text on it though. Setting the card face-down would naturally negate it, so it feels redundant to include the "negate it's effects" line. The during either player's turn clause is nice, and has the potential to be a great disruptor. The cards real power, however, is the destruction clause. Elder God Noden can be used to make this quickly, creating a great wall that your opponent can only Dark Hole out of. 2200 ATK is a bit low, but I don't see using this card as a massive beatstick. Almost like Abyss Dweller, use it for the effect, not for the attack. Nice.

Card B: Hot Damn, I wish this card existed. Chaos decks could make great use out of a themed Tuner. It also has a disruptng effect of shuffling a monster back into the deck. Unfortunately, the LIGHT and DARK clause makes it a bit of a hassle to get it's effect off properly. And, finally, its level is a bit awkward. You need a level 5 for level 8 plays, and they can only be LIGHT or DARK Synchros. All of the clauses to be used for it's effect are a bit limiting, and it is really to this cards detriment. If it had an even level, and had less strict of summoning clauses, this card would be a staple.

So, with all things considered, very close, but I have to pick Card A because of it's strong protection and practicality in many decks.

(Hopefully I didn't sound like a raving madman in this, its my first time participating in a card contest like this :/ )
