Make an Xyz Monster with a creative effect.

Card A

EFZZWew.jpg

2 or more Level 4 monsters

Once per turn: you can detach 1 Xyz material from this card to increase its Rank by 1. While this card is face-up on the field; negate the effects of all monsters with a Level/Rank lower than this card's Rank.

Card B
AxFSREk.jpg
2 Level 4 monsters
You can use 2 Level/Rank 4 or lower monsters your opponent controls as this card Xyz Material and Xyz Summon this card to your opponent's side of the field. When this card attacks: send 1 other card you control to the Graveyard and detach 1 Xyz Material from this card. While this card has Xyz Materials, you cannot Summon monsters. During each End Phase, take 600 damage.

Card A: first of all, really like the art. it really makes him look like a snobby dragon. now for the effect...i kinda like it. while it is a card that can be destroyed by Spell/Traps, it has a good way of protecting itself from card effects. I would say it needs 4 to be really good to protect itself from the likes of Big Eye and Dracossack, and while it does kinda suck to wait 3 turns to use its full potential, it can still hold its own and protect itself from Level/Rank 4 or lower monsters. while not super powerful, it still has its uses especially going up against HATs or Geargias. i would say it's good.

Card B: an Xyz Lava Golem? sure, why not? while it's not as easy to bring out as Lava Golem, it is certainly a LOT more difficult to be rid of. being unable to summon for 2 turns, taking at least 1200 damage, having to tribute 2 cards to detach the materials, and that's if you are unlucky. while Dark Hole can solve that problem easily, it still eats up 2 of the opponents Level 4 Monsters. The main counter to Lava Golem was to just tribute over it and hope to recover. HERE, you can't do that, so it's either try to get rid of this card by a spell or trap or sit out 2 turns -1200, 2 monsters, and 2 cards tributed to detach. It's OP. that much is certain, but not Forbidden worthy as much as it is Limiting worthy.

My vote goes towards Snob Dragon because it's balanced, it has decent negating abilities, and, going along with the theme, i can't really think of another monster with such an effect, while #23 is essentially a harder to bring out, but much deadlier Lava Golem, especially in stall decks. point for me goes to Card A: Snob Dragon

Hope my vote was detailed and reasonable.

Wait, Card A just got a vote!!? omfg, you know, by Summoned it T1 (just using 2 4s or whatever) and ranking up it into R5 by it own effect, you essentially kill 9 of 10 decks around the game (bar Qliphoth, but that's not the problem here... Oh f***, Qliphoth deck gonna using this!), effect negation that cover anywhere including hand and Graveyard like this is beyond broken, immediately kill it with fire is not enough tbh.

Vote B, because A

and well, just to make this vote acceptable, I'll review Card B a bit, it is a combined version of Lava and Acid Golem, though the twist in its Summoning lock that seems to be the reverse of Acid is a little bit OP, perhaps broken, but it still let you set a monster and not negate their effects in Graveyard like the opposed card did, so it's seems fine, as for balance issues, the material condition make this not as easy to use as Lava, VQ or Santa, at least it can't using that troublesome Apoqliphoth Killer as material, so the fact that it was the ED monster is balanced by that restriction.

p.s. No.23 is not bad, but I expected more creativity than these cards from that requirement tbh.

my argument is that it doesn't stop rank 5s in turn one because it has to be lower, so when summoned, it basically only stops rank 3s, and detach for a rank 4, so pleiades can still pop it in a simple turn, and durendel can alter it's effect. people using Artifacts can still have a turn to respond with moralltech and be rid of that card, and even then, it's still able to be plowed by simple backrow like D. Prison, Mirror force, Torrential, Bottomless, Divine Wrath especially, so it's not OP because it can still be destroyed with ease... yeah thinking more about it, this does shut down a good chunk of decks (Geargias, Lightsworn), but there are still a good chink of decks that can counter, and even then backrow can solve that problem, like the Artifacts, D.Rulers, Shaddolls using a super poly, banishing decks, Pendulums etc.

IDK i was debating between the 2. -_- i thought shutting down summoning capabilities was more broken then ability negation

Like you could summon any R5 T1 without Level modifier's help...

You seems to not understand why that card is unhealthy for the game at all. There are a bunch of cards out there that simply say you can't play ygo just by activate them (Skill Drain for example), and that dragon you're protecting is the combined of 3 Drains in only 1 Xyz monster that is also the easiest rank to bring out, and no drawback at all. Even that Majesty Fiend with the weaker effect had to be NS'd only

Whatever, continue this argument in PM or else we'll both get warn'd for spamming.
