Make an Extra Deck monster with one of the subtypes (Gemini, Union, Spirit, etc), except tuner.

Card A:

V9UDy88.jpg

1 tuner monster + 1 or more non-tuner monsters

Cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summon. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Special Summoned or flipped face-up, return it to the Extra Deck. When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target 1 card on the field and up to 3 cards in either player's Graveyard; Return those targets to the deck.

Card B:

2 Level 4 Spirit monsters
Must be Xyz Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. During the Damage Step, if this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. During your End Phase: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card. If you cannot, return it to the Extra Deck.

Card A:
Generic synchro, which is a spirit, requires 2 materials, and a level 9 monster, with a pretty underpowered effect. The fact that it returns to extra deck on the end of your turn should make its effect better, but no, its effect is just too bad.

Card B:
Xyz for spirits, also with underpowered effect. It should be once per turn rather than using that expensive requirement. Additional effects might be needed as well.

I vote for Card C. (Again.)
Because both feels pretty underpowered.

I thought Card C votes are only supposed to be if both cards are just badly, if not atrociously designed. These both seem fine.

Anyway, my thoughts on the cards:

Card A: I do agree with Overfrost in that this card's effect is a bit weak. Another similar level 9 synchro, Mist Wurm, while having more specific requirements, is just a bit better in every way. While the extra Emeral effect is nice, it still doesn't really make the card worth running with the Spirit effect as well; maybe it would be more usable if it's effect happened every time it was Special Summoned, and it got some extra self-protection while it is still on the field.

Card B: This is more what I imagined from the contest's requirements: it's a Spirit monster, but uses that to justify a good effect for a level 4, which in turn is limted to spirit decks by the requirement. Both the 2600 ATK and the effect activating in the Damage Step are nice, and make the card worth running in Spirit decks today.

Overall, my vote goes to Card B, as even with it only being usable in the one deck, is still a more usable card than A, from what I can tell.

Um, Gadjiltron, I am not accepting that Card C vote until Overfrost clarifies what he means by "2 materials".

'1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters'
It needs at least 2 materials.

What needs clarification here? Is it the fact that I didn't wrote 'at least' there?

Yes, actually.

Because the point isn't that clear when most Synchro Monster don't have less than two materials because that's kind of how the type of Summon works.
