Make a summery card. That's it.

Card A:
eicGvXf.jpg

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Flip all face-down monsters your opponent controls face-up, and if you do: This card gains 200 ATK for each monster flipped face-up by this effect (Effects do not activate at this time). If this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent (by battle or card effect): You can target 1 monster on the field; Flip it face-down

Card B:

When you gain Life Points: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Summer Dragon Landwaetter" once per turn. When this card is Special Summoned by its own effect, it gains ATK equal to the amount of Life Points you gained. When this card is sent to the Graveyard; Take damage equal to this card's ATK.

Okay here we go.....

Card A: Not very Summery looking for a start but I am overlooking that as the effect is the most important part. First its ATK and DEF. That cute Blob of Joy has the same ATK as a Monarch? :/ The effect that flips all monsters face-up is Summery sounding though. So if your opponent has 5 monsters this monster goes up to 3400, which for a LV6 makes it even more powerful then the higher tier LV7's and 8,s. Again something irks me about this cute little Blob having the same ATK and DEF as a Monarch :/ The last effect is fine as when it leaves the field, its like a Sunset (monster is flipped face down)

Card B: Pretty standard Special Summoning Conditions based around Life Points gaining. WOuld work excellently around Life Gaining Decks in General. 2500 DEF makes it a good wall and a base 1000 means unless you are gaining a ton of Life Points in one go (most tap out at say 2000 for Pikeru so this guy would be 3000). I take it the last effect is its Boosted attack and not its original. Because losing just 1000 Life Points once destroyed would make it a bit OP.

Card B gets it here. Again the fact the Card Image of Card A completely baffles me to the ATK and DEf is what selaed its fate.

Card A:

It's a Level 6 LIGHT Aqua-Type monster, with the picture of a cute golden slime in a summer paradise? Also, its effects are kinda . . . slimy. Hmmm . . . Special summoning this card is pretty hard, so I'll go with normal summon. After it got normal summoned, you do an anti-Shaddoll move, and most probably, kill one of those guys (by an attack, which is bad). So, this is a tribute summoned monster which do no plus, with an extra (mostly unuseful) book of moon in the end. Plus, its effect is highly situational (even against shaddoll, 6 fusion spells for them = always first turn midrash).

Card B:

Cool pic, looks more like a bird/dragon of paradise to me (but you said it's a summer dragon, so ignore that comment). An effect that gains you some life is pretty rare, and mostly a -1. Though, this card might be good (somehow). Assuming every 'you gain LP' card is a -1, and this card is in your grave, you can instant special summon this level 8 card by the cost of 1000 LP and a 'you gain LP' card/effect (or by a -1, so -1 to special summon this card). From your hand, it becomes a -2 though (pretty bad). This card only shines against Upstart Goblin afaics, which is only 3 in a deck, and most players don't run it. It just needs a simple +1 effect there, and it'll be pretty good.

Regarding to the theme, no one made a FIRE monster even though the idea is to make summery cards. Card A is . . . a summery slime (to my view, this doesn't really get the summery theme though). Card B is a Summer Dragon (it's LIGHT and with LIGHT-ish artwork, which actually makes me think of a Divine Dragon or Heavenly Dragon, or whatever else comes to my mind), though this still meets the summery card criteria (to me).

I vote Card B.

Card A: is a little cute slime in a summer fantasy/paradise. Its attack is too high, esepecially against ghostrick or stall decks or any other deck that revolves around face- down monsters. Also, the extra book of moon effect makes this card too op since everybody knows that book of moon is limited/banned
Card B: Hard to summon, but now that I'm thinking about it, if you have lots of cards like Dian keto or poison of the old man you can use this card.Pretty balanced, too. It's sort of a risk summoning it because you take damage, but since this card will only be in decks that heal, this card is good.
Card B wins this leaderboard.

Cool, well then if thunderclap has no problems with any of the votes (rtyui's reason of it being op against ghostricks may be a bit harsh) then its 3-0 card B (my one). Good game.

To answer J-max's question, I originally did just have you lose a 1000, but see how that's op so may change if it goes into RC. The idea was that LP gain felt like a summery thing, and summer ended when the dragon dies. Finally, I designed it to work with Solemn Wishes so you could summon it every turn for 500 for constant xyz plays.

It does trigger in the Graveyard, where its ATK would be the original value.

I kind of thought myself that the increase was ridiculous, so yeah. I accept all votes.
