q77dwD9.jpg

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 "D3" from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard. You can banish this card and a "HERO" monster from your Graveyard; add 1 "Destiny HERO" monster from your Deck to your hand, then you can Special Summon 3 "D3 Tokens" (Machine-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position. You cannot Special Summon other monsters during the turn when this effect was activated, other than "Destiny HERO" monsters.
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send up to 2 "D3" from your deck to the Graveyard, and if you do: Special Summon "Destiny Token"(s) (Machine-type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0), up to the number of cards to sent to the Graveyard by this effect. They cannot be tributed, except for the Tribute Summon of a "Destiny Hero" monster. You can only activate the effect of "D3" once per turn.
As I feared, the requirements really limited the design. Card A is just strictly better than Card B in a rather insane way. Card A read free Plasma/Dogma whereas Card B reads easier Plasma/Dogma, assuming you already have the card in hand and you had no copies of D3 in your hand/Graveyard already.

Card A has no reason to send D3s to the Graveyard, it doesn't want to be there. It wants to be face-up so it can be broken and hand out free Plasmas like it ain't nobody's business.

Card B is just "Why would they waste ink printing this?" Far too situational. A cute card, more flavorful and more fitting to the archetype as most D-Hero Support sucks.

Broken card or trash with flavor is the question. I'll vote Card B.

I usually make my reviews longer than this, but they're variations of the same cards with such similar effects that I'm just giving opinions on the cards in general.

Card A: seems unnecessarily good, as it summons 3 tokens when its ns, as well as in grave so: ns one, send 2nd d3 to grave, banish it and a HERO, tribute the 1st d3 and 2 tokens for the Plasma (that you get to add to your hand?!) and have 1 token spare and the d3 in your grave ready for another. Um...what? This 1 card means a free Plasma, a token, and another Plasma next turn? broken.

Card B: Very situational, bad if you have 2 in hand, and you have to have your Plasma in hand on top of that. The only real difference from the original is that you can send the others from your deck, and that it takes up more space if you have over 2 monsters already on the field. However, it does seem more faithful to the D-Hero support, and isn't stupidly good.

Therefore, my vote also goes to Card B.

I will be honest when I say that limiting the contest to 1 Specific card was a bit of a buzzkill but I will keep that to myself ^^ Anyhow....

Card A: Has way too many upsides for what it does. If the D3 had to be Banished from the field then it would be at least a bit more fair. Instead you Banish it from the Grave and get 3 Tokens AND a D-Hero. Get Plasma, DOminate... Not to mention that those 3 D3 Tokens would make good Synchro Food. If the effect was Toned down to say "You cannot summon any monsters this turn" then it would be at least a bit slower.

Card B: More boring but at least the Effect is fair.... The most you are going to get is 2 Tokens anyway which does set you up for Plasma. With cards that can get D3's back to your Deck, this could be far more dangerous.

It would have to be Card B for me. The effect is Boring but is more fair.
