Card A

1  "Fishborg" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner WATER monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned: Return all of your banished Fish-Type monsters to your Graveyard; Destroy cards your opponent controls, up to the number of "Fishborg" monsters returned this way.

Card B

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Fire King" monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy up to 2 cards on the field and/or in your hand. This card is unaffected by the effects of Monster Cards. Once per turn, when a Spell/Trap Card is activated: You can destroy 1 card you control, and if you do, negate its activation and destroy it.

Let's see...

Card A: Works with Banisharks (if that's still relevant) and nukes cards equal to the number of Fishborgs you return.

I could see a combo with using Doctor to Synchro into this (with the rest of the Archetype), return it to the graveyard via this effect and destroy something.

Card B: Destroys 2 cards in your hand/field when summoned, destruction-negation for S/T cards and effect immunity.

Looks good for a new boss, fits in with FK's theme of self-destruction both when it's summoned / its Divine Wrath-esque effect.

With that said, card B's getting vote due to it working with the cards it's supposed to be supporting and usability. Both cards are balanced IMO.

Card A:

It supports an archetype with Tuners. The effect is cool, too: It turns its Synchro Summon into at least a +0, a +1 if you used Fishborg Launcher, and has the pontetial of giving you further advantage if you have other banished Fishborgs, all of this while virtually recycling Fishborgs by returning them to the grave so they can be used again.

Card B:

Supports an archetype without Tuners, so you would have to tech 1 or 2 them in Fire Kings to drop this. That aside, the card is too powerful in my opinion because it does too much: Instant +1 on Summon, the monster effect immunity makes it really tough to kill and the opponent cannot even resort to its Extra Deck toolbox to get rid of it, and while the S/T negation effect has technically a cost, Fire Kings turn destruction into pluses so you are not actually losing anything.

I Vote for Card A because it complements its archetype really well, and it should be a good Synchro option if your deck runs a Fishborg and can afford to drop Synchro 7s. On the other hand, Card B is unfair with its ability of destroying up to 2 cards on the spot and stopping S/Ts, while laughing at monster effects; really, 3 good effects is just too much.

Card A can return all banished Fish to the Graveyard in order to destroy cards, you can also banish more cards with Tidal to turn this card into a 1-sided nuking. Card B force Fire King deck to tech a Level 1 Tuner, which is suck for deck. but doing so give you a new boss with 2 Yaksha on summon, monster protection which is neat in current format, it also able to negate a S/T by destroying 1 card you control. I think Card B is more useful and creative than just a bland pop effect, so I vote Card B

(Hope the contest hasn't ended yet)

Card A: (*didn't think fishborg was more than 2 cards* *looks up on the wiki* *feels embarrassed*) Having read every fishborg through, I think that the card works well with the archetype, giving it some nice power. I can imagine the satisfaction at nuking your opponent with this by running fishborgs. That said, this card could be a bit good, with multiple launchers (and also doctors) for easy repeatable summons of this guy, ergo easy repeatable destruction (helped along with a tidal while you're at it). I really like the support though.

Card B: This card is strong, but I also think it is a good boss, which Fire Kings have been lacking (that sounds weird, but garunix isn't as good as most bosses and can just be 101ed). The effects are all very strong: you get to pop 2 from ANYWHERE (so either good field destruction or a Yaksha) which I think is a bit too good, even only when synchro summoned. The other two effects are better, especially the third, which ties in well with Fire Kings, but isn't as annoying as Shi En due to some cost. I also like that he can't kill himself to negate your opponet's s/t effect. I would say that the card is too good, but being level 9 means running level 1 tuners, as Aqua said, which I think balances it.

Overall, I think that both cards are balanced and original, but my vote goes to Card B in a close run, as I think the effects are more original, and running the card adds a risk/reward for drawing your tuners to the deck, while Fishborg Coelecanth is just plain good, and it's effect is quite simple.

This 1v1 ended yesterday with it being 1-2 Card B.
