The requirement is to make a non-generic Rank 8 monster.

Card A:

2 Level 8 EARTH monsters
While this card has Xyz Materials, it cannot be targeted or be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard, and if you do, other monsters you currently control cannot attack for the rest of this turn. If that Special Summoned monster would leave the field or would be sent to the Graveyard as an Xyz Material, banish it instead.

Card B:

2 Level 8 DARK monsters

Cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard, then banish 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard. While this card remains face-up on the field, both players must discard a card to Summon a non-DARK monster.

so many similar things, Monster Reborn on leg, can't be chain'd or veiler'd, but EARTH isn't the good attribute to make R8 with, not when there is only Karakuri Deck that can make it, and that deck is quite overwhelming by now, but that's the only problem of Card A, Card B is broken, non-type restricted Book of Life, plus a DARK version of Queen of Thorn in only 2 Level 8 DARK is so much. my vote go to Card A because it's more balanced

So, basically Card B does almost the same things as Card A but better: Level 8 DARKs are more common than EARTHs (e.g. DWs, Gimmick Puppets) so it is easier to summon, it doesn't require an attached material for the protection against targeting (but is vulnerable to non-targeting destruction like Dark Hole), and the Summon effect not only lacks a restriction like Card A's but comes with the additional effect of banishing, its ATK is higher than Card A's highest stat, which is DEF, and on top of that it comes with one more effect that punishes non-DARK decks.

Even if Card B didn't outclass Card A, reviving and banishing, punishing the Summons of non-DARKs and having a 3000-ATK body that cannot be targeted is still too much.

My vote goes for Card A because it is like the balanced version of Card B.

...yeah I'm gonna have to agree with the consensus here and settle it in favor of Card A.

Card A is fairly balanced and powerful, matching its relatively harder summoning conditions. Card B is just... many things on steroids. 2 Monster Reborns + D.D. Crows on an untargetable 3k body. Oh and forcing opponent to minus just to summon things.

Plus card A has a better image in my opinion, and more imaginative typing.
