Requirement
hmm let make something old for my first contest of the season, Ice Barrier monster is what you have to make.
D887Vuc.jpg

When this card is Normal Summoned: switch it to Defense Position, then if you control another "Ice Barrier" monster: you can add 1 "Ice Barrier" card from your Graveyard to your hand. You can Banish this card from your Graveyard; once during this turn, you can Normal Summon 1 Level 5 or higher "Ice Barrier" monster with 1 less Tribute. You can only activate this effect of "Siren of the Ice Barrier" once per turn.
When you Normal Summon an "Ice Barrier" monster: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can shuffle 1 "Ice Barrier" monster you control or from your hand into the Deck to target 1 card on the field; return that target to the hand, then, if that target was a WATER monster. you can draw 1 card. You must control 2 or more face-up "Ice Barrier" monsters to activate and to resolve this effect. You can only control 1 "Assailant of the Ice Barrier".

This is one of my favorite Archetypes, so guess I should go ahead and vote on them.

Card A: Switches self to Defense Position, then recycles another Barrier if you control a different one on field. Banishes self from grave; allows Dai-sojo or Raiho to be dropped right away or Gantala/Grunard (mostly former) with only one. OPT effect and a Tuner.

Card B: Can SS itself when you control another Ice Barrier (which could help with Rank 4 stuff), shuffles another IB monster you control/in hand to Deck to bounce a card to the hand and nets a draw if you bounce a WATER monster. However, said bouncing effect is OPT and requires at least 2 IB monsters to use.

----

Card A helps the Archetype in what it does (keeping hand advantage to use the Synchro Monster's effects and other things). It also helps bring out the Tribute monsters quicker.

Card B helps with Rank 4 summoning (or a possible Level 6/7 Synchro) and is an upgrade over Dance Princess in bouncing ANY card on the field, however you get one bounce per turn and said card returns to the Deck, but you get a draw if a WATER card gets returned (which would trigger against certain Decks or mirror matches). Although it just requires 2 IB monsters to be on your field (and could allow for two cards to be bounced each turn); the last effect puts a limit on that. Though, with respect to its SS effect, it could just pull it off in the same turn (since the requirements are technically met), then go into said Synchro/Xyz.

With that said though, my vote goes to card A.

(When this is over, may I have the link to card B's pic?)

I think both cards are good, Card A let you recycle any IB card, including S/T, and allow the Tensu or Monster Reborn on leg to hit the field easier. Card B is IB's Shark, and has some interesting bounce effect without broke it. Well I never played IB before, but from my experience, it's pretty slow and Card B help with that weak point better. With it the deck can bring out a R4 or their Synchro in 1 turn. so I'll vote Card B

Noone seems willing to vote, so Aqua will take this victory with 2-1. I'd like to take this chance to say that you all should be embarrassed for not voting. If you want people to vote in your contests, you have no excuse for not voting in other people's contests.

[/rant]

Also, obligatory commentary on opposing card: I like it, but it feels like it's trying to steer Ice Barriers to a direction they do not want to go. From the beginning, IBs were more about control, which was their major problem, but changing their approach entirely by giving them an instant Xyz/Synchro enabler isn't quite the first thing that should happen. And I honestly feel the second effect shouldn't be during either player's turn, 2 IBs or not. I'd keep it during your turn only, and maybe let you return a card from the Graveyard as well, ala Ptolemy.

yea gg and thx for that suggestion, may think about it, also Sakura I heard you want my card's art, but it's just another of my mixture of good abstract and a render

here it is http://imgur.com/aL9tPBU (a bit small and will be LQ like my card if you use it for YCM cardmaker which require about 300 or more px to be a good image)
