Kingdom Xathers
My first time setting up a Leaderboard contest. Let's see how well/horribly this goes, ^__^; All YCM and Leaderboard rules apply. - We'll be using the AB System - Whoever gets to/close enough to 3 votes by the end of the Time Limit wins. - Deadlines after being accepted: 24 hrs to present cards, 72 hrs after that for votes to be made. - And of course, voting begins after both cards have been presented for voting Winner will receive 1 Rep from the loser. Cards must not carry any evidence of their creators, (i.e. Leave the © space blank or just put Kazuki Takahashi or something.) To ensure anonymity in voting, which you have to do for the AB system to work, please PM the cards to me. Written Cards are permitted. Voters should provide their reasoning behind their decisions, via critiques or what-have-you. THE CONDITION: Create a "Lightsworn" monster whose effect can be/is triggered if/when a "Lightsworn" monster(s) is milled. However, it MUST NOT have its own milling effect. THE COMBATANTS:
If you control 2 "Lightsworn" monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). While you control this face-up card, you cannot Special Summon monsters from your hand. During either player's turn: You can tribute 1 other monster you control; this card gains ATK equal to 500 x the number of "Lightsworn" monsters with different names in your Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Luke, Lightsworn Bulwark" once per Duel. During your End Phase: Place 1 Light Counter on this card for each "Lightsworn" monster with different name sent from your Deck to the Graveyard this turn. During your Standby Phase: You can remove all Light Counters on this card (min. 2); apply one of the following effects depending on the number of Counters removed from this card. ●2: Negate the effects of a face-up monster on the field until the End Phase. ●3+: Discard 1 card, then draw 2 cards.

When a 'Lightsworn' monster that is level 5 or higher is sent from the deck to the graveyard by the effects of a 'Lightsworn' monster on the field, you may sacrifice this face-up card to special summon that monster in attack mode. Skip your next draw phase the turn you activate this effect.

Darj
Card A. A wall and 1-time-only big hitter. Can be easily dropped after a Lumina and can make a Rank 7 along Ark. Although it locks the Summon of JD, Lightrays and other bosses afterwards, the card is good for defending early game or while you set those bosses up. Then the Counter effects allows him to do something else besides blocking, such as countering annoying walls like Zenmaines, or giving you a +1 if you were lucky with the LS mills. I think the card is fine. Card B. This is virtually useless for LS. It doesn't help with the deck's goal (summoning JD), except for being a different LS monster for JD's requirement, its effect only works on Gragonith, which you shouldn't be running, or Celestia, who at most you should only run 1 and wants to be Tribute Summoned. Then, the effect is tricky to activate because it needs to be on the field at the time a Level 5+ is milled, so you would have to Summon it first and use your Raiden/Charge/Recharges, or go to End Phase and pray for another LS to mill a big monster. And of top of that, it comes with an undesirable and, in my opinion, unnecessary drawback. My vote goes for Card A because at least it helps LS with defending. Kingdom Xathers
All right, then: Card A is in the lead, 1-
Maeriberii Haan
Card A is quite interesting. Could be a wall, an attacker, and nets you advantage while not making LS more overwhelming. Card B is useless due to the lack of good target. That alone is enough to make it not getting my vote. Vote for A.
-Noel-
Have to say that, ss from hand limited is the nice catch for Card A, also being a Lv.7 LS is quite legit in how LS will access to Sack/11 w/o the need of Lightrays or Rulers, and since Card B is nothing to LS, yea really nothing but another name for JD, my vote go to Card A
Blue Amoonguss
And I guess that's that. With a score of 0-3, I lost. I completely forgot about the special summoning issue of JD.
Kingdom Xathers
... okay, so Card A, and its creator Kwisatz have won this contest by a landslide 3-0 votes.
