Card must be PM'd to me by 48 hours after I accepted the challenge

Votes' Deadline is 72 hours after cards are up

 

Requirement

remake a vanilla, any card you want.

You can tribute 2 monsters you control; Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. If you activate this effect, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn. When this card is Special Summoned: You can discard up to 2 cards; destroy the equal number of cards on the field. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Gradius' Option Token" (Machine-Type/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 1200/DEF 800) to your side of the field in face-up Attack Position. This token cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. Once per turn, during either player' turn: You can Tribute 1 "Gradius' Option" monster to target 1 card on the field; destroy that target.

Wow this is interesting requirement, I must use this for my next one ;)

Both cards are interesting remake of those forgotten cards, Card A can bring itself out faster and easier, though 2 non-target pop is a bit much, but I think cost and drawback are enough, but Card B is perfect, well-balanced and interesting concept,so I vote card B

I like both actually. Card A seems to have a lot going for it though, being a Dark, Dragon, LV8, SS'able for Grave, getting 2 monsters fast is very easy, and it can even use Tokens, and the Gungnir effect on top of that. On the other hand Card B is quite balanced but lacking a bit in originality since it's kinda similar to MPBs in many ways, but has some interesting plays. Both are pretty close but I'm liking the small plays / niches you can make with Gradius better, so my vote goes to card B.
