Thar if I were you I'd choose a better requirement. There's so much anti-Xyz shit going around that I at least would honestly be discouraged from making something interesting.

EDITED:

"Make a Trap Card that targets monsters that were Special Summoned."

Does that mean I can join? I'm up for it.

Yes, you're in. PM your card to me when you're ready.

Oh. Now it's a trap card. I had an idea in mind for the Anti Xyz, but I have nothing for the Trap. I might back out. Sorry. =/

Speaks leagues of your creative capabilities. I say just give it a shot, what's the worst that could happen?

This event is about improving your card making anyway.

Yeah, so did I. 'But it sucked, so I'm glad the suggestion was made to change it.

Okay, this is essentially attack prevention (with a weakener on the side) vs effect negation.

Card A does even out those strong monsters with its weakener effect. Also, it prevents it from causing damage through battle. I don't see many problems with this card, though I may be missing something with its weakener effect. Though, the temporary factor calms some worries.

Card B does nicely with its effect negation. I like how the effect negation is permanent as long as this card is equipped. Also, this does work nicely as MST bait. TBH, I don't see much wrong with this card either.

Based on personal preference, I vote Card B. I prefer effect negation compared to attack prevention, though Card A does alright for its intended purpose.

Compared to other summon response/chainable traps, both Card A and B seems underwhelming since Fiendish Chain exists. But honestly, both filled different purposes, and since Card B overlaps too much with Fiendish Chain, Card A seems to be more interesting.

Well, vote to Card A, though Card B would be more likely to be used, Card A filled its own niche, while Card B is a poor man's Fiendish Chain.

Card B, get's my vote. On why, like said:

I like how the effect negation is permanent as long as this card is equipped

there is a wall given to the opponent, where the opponent would either have to get rid of the monster/ MST the trap.

Card A, Though it's depending it's just too much tipped over leaving the monster fully capable to returning to it's fullest=stall.

Both are somewhat like Fiendish Chain in respect to their first effects of blocking attacks, but card A gets vote.

I chose card A based on originality (like card B, it functions similarly to aforementioned Fiend/Demon Chain; but in exchange for only being to block attacks on the Summoning turn, the stat drop will prove to be effective in most cases.)

Card B is pretty much like Chain (except it's an Equip Trap for SS monsters), so nothing much to say in that respect.

I vote for A.

The main reason is, as Ein and Sakura already explained, Card B is essentially a weaker Fiendish Chain.

On the other hand, card A has an useful combination of attack negation + ATK drop, great for stopping and weakening monsters who otherwise would be a huge threat.
