2 Level 1 DARK monsters

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on both sides of the field; Flip them face-down (monsters targeted by this effect are switched to face-down defense position), and if you do: Any Battle Damage inflicted to either player this turn is halved. If you control another ”Ghostrick” monster, except "Ghostrick Trivia", this card cannot be targeted by attacks. If this card is destroyed by your opponent's card (effect or by battle): You can add 1 of your banished "Ghostrick" monsters to your hand.

Dutchman is a good card, his effect provides good coverage for ghostricks, and he has generic materials so it's easy to summon. On the other hand, 2 of his effects (the last 2) might become a bit worse over time if ghostricks get "semi-generic" ghostricks spells that can affect cards that aren't ghostrick monsters. Then again, the 0 ATK/DEF kinda makes up for that. but using future cards as an argument isn't really valid in this kind of contest.

As for trivia, he has a built in defensive effect, but since the ghostrick has to be face-up for him to be protected, and ghostricks seem to work best when they're face-down it might not be the best way to go abou it. his halving all battle damage is'nt realy useful unless it works on both turns, but i don't think it's needed with the field spell doing it anyways. I'm not sure about the banished to hand effect, since i can't remember if any of them would be banished on their own.

All in all, Duchman wins. trivia feels like it might be better in a normal zombie deck.

Funny how Trivia doesn't follow the trivia of Ghostricks, which Lv1/Rk1 = Fiend, but anywho.

Card A is just overall better. Creative, useful, and actually works. Card B is decent I guess, but it requires another face-up Ghostrick, where it should've used the clause Card A used in having Ghostrick/Face Down Defense Position monsters.

Card A, you have my vote.

I vote for the Dutchman. Trivia is pretty good in its own right, but it requires you to already have field presence to work, therein making it live less often. Henceforth, consistency issues. Dutchman acts either as a revival card to recycle dead ghost ticks or as a Rota for the ghostrick spells, both of which they could really use. Both are nice and would help the deck, but Dutchman is better.
