Battlin' Boxer Surprise Southpaw
Rank 4 / FIRE
Warrior / Xyz / Effect
2 Level 4 "Battlin' Boxer" monsters
If a "Battlin' Boxer" monster you control attacks an opponents monster, during damage calculation (in either player's turn), you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, and if you do, the attack target is returned to the top of the owners Deck.
2300 / 1800

Southpaw:
Southpaws are left handed fighters (unorthodox). They put their right foot forward, jab with their right hand and throw power punches with their left hand (rear hand). To a "normal" right handed fighter a southpaw's punches are coming from the side where they're not trained to expect punches to come from.

Battlin’ Boxer Counter Cutman
Warrior/Xyz/Effect
FIRE
Rank 4
1200/2000
2 Level 4 ”Battlin’ Boxer” monsters
This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, when a ”Battlin’ Boxer” monster you control battles: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until the End Phase, all Battle Damage you would take from battles involving ”Battlin’ Boxer” monsters is inflicted to your opponent instead. If a ”Battlin’ Boxer” monster you control would be destroyed: You can banish this card until the End Phase instead, and if you do: Take 800 damage when this card returns to the field.
Card A is interesting, creating a mini-lock for two turns on their DP if they continue to throw damage shields infront of him. The ATK on him probably could've been a tad more, like 2400, but that is a minor desire. The effect is good, providing a valid option over Lead Yoke if you believe they don't have anything to counter and destroy with.

Card B is lacking. The fact that it takes a detach to do what "Sphreeze" does in Gusto is disappointing and his protection effect ditches his material (if any remain) and leaves your side open, then tops it off with more damage done to you. He is good in the fact he can't be destroyed by battle, but that isn't really enough to sway my vote towards him. It has a lot of flavor, but sadly the effects are just a little lacking in comparison. I can't see situations where this would be prefered over Yoke.

My vote goes to Card A.

Card A is interesting, it is pretty powerful, though it only works when you attack, so it isn't abuseable. It doesn't have a lot of ATK, but it doesn't matter, since it works well. It's a good other option to have, and is balanced pretty nicely.

Card B is pretty meh. As already said, it's Sphreeze in BB form, but it doesn't really help them at all. And since it banishes itself, it leaves your field open, something that isn't really the point of BB. I wouldn't use it myself, though it is also nice that it cannot be destoyed, so you can just leave it if you want to, but since it's effect is just so meh, I don't feel that it's worth it.

Card A get my vote.

Card B is horribly outclassed by Lead Yoke in it's wall-type of purpose while Southpaw is some cool card removal, something that Battlin' Boxers don't really have and the flavor is nice. Vote to Card A.
