Zeal Ascendant
So basically, I spent the last like, two hours reading this wikibook about lucid dreaming and on the lucid dreaming subreddit. I don't think I've ever had a real lucid experience before, or if I have I don't remember it. I've learned a lot about it in a short time though, so it's on my mind and who knows, maybe I'll have one tonight, although I seriously doubt it. I'm thinking about keeping a dream journal and trying some techniques, because the way achieving a really vivid lucid dream where you are basically god sounds very tantalizing. The only thing that scares me a little is the possibility of having extremely vivid and horrifying nightmares, or being lucid but being trapped in some sort of dark haze where I can't do anything. Anyway, if anyone has had any lucid dream or has experience with this stuff, I'd greatly enjoy some tips, pointers, warnings, etc. Anyway, discuss lucid dreaming. DARKPLANT RISING
I've had it in multiple occasions.
The Amazing Avian
If you ever so much as think you're in a dream, spin around. You'll look like a moron if it's not a dream, but if it is, bingo. Lucid dream. At least that's how it's worked for me.
Legend Zero
I can still do it as long as I'm not extremely tired when I go to sleep. I can also wake myself up while in a lucid dream.
TheUnforgiven
Its very hard to control..... i have to be under percocet to stay asleep once i realize its a dream.... But yeah its kinda cool.
This Account is Unplayable
The idea of being able to lucid dream has always seemed interesting to me although I've never bothered with any of the techniques to achieve a lucid state. Certainly something I'd want to try to achieve though, just the idea of literally being the "god" of a realm sounds so fascinating even if it is only in a fictional state. Dementuo
I read something about it about a year ago, give or take a couple months. Some time recently, I found myself able to lucidly dream at will. Honestly, it's not as amazing as some people would make it out to be, but it is a pretty cool thing to be able to do.
Thar
One thing that helps me dream is drinking orange juice; it helps your body relax but keeps your mind active which makes it easier to go into sleep paralysis. Yeah, you can kinda tell I've done my research. I've tried those techniques off and on when I felt like it, but I always forget to wake up properly or write it down. I've always wanted to be able to do it, though. I hate having to waste half my life sleeping. It's just pointless.<---is in college.

[/quote] When I start trying to LD (hopefully tonight) I'm going to try the MILD technique, I'm absolutely terrified of sleep paralysis. Just wondering though, what does it feel like for you? Do you see any creepy hallucinations or dark figures? How long after you go into sleep paralysis to you start to dream lucidly? So anyway, I tried to recall the dream I had this morning but I couldn't ;_; Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck next time.
Legend Zero
For me, my lucid dreams always start out as 1 of the same 4-5 dreams. After I figure out I'm in a dream I can then do whatever I please. Its pretty cool stuff, I remember being able to jump over houses and out running raptors. (The dino ones are all from being a kid though. =[)
Smesh
Last night I had a dream about lucid dreaming. It was confusing. I was in a white room, and I knew I was dreaming. I'm not sure if I ACTUALLY consciously knew I was dreaming, or if in the dream I told myself I was dreaming. O_e Anyway, I knew I was in a dream and I thought "Hey, if I'm dreaming, I'll do something out of the ordinary." so I tried to make a frog appear out of nowhere. I woke up. DAFUQ. Thar
Yeah, I remember having a 2 stack dream. One being in a tropical beach hut and the other being on a runaway train. It was epic.
