It was dusk in the captal of Aesir, And clouds drawed into the Amber sky above the citys endless landscapes of silver skyscrapers. The city was stood still, Its populaton Coplased apon where they stood. They layed there, Cold and eye's shut. Within its depths, Smoldering ruin's layed at the sight of one of the Comets. It released tremendious heat; grass and earth surrounding it alight with Flames and Itself laying within a Pool of Lava and Obsidian Rocks. Slowly, Its Cracked and Shivered. The Ground tremmored and shook. The cracks grew and grew, The comet becoming smaller until it shattered in Orange light.

Dust subsided and the light Faded, Revealing a Mysterious figure. Standing 5"11, he was cloaked with a Rust-Coloured Jacket and Trowsers, Trimmed by Mysterious, Angeled Red markings. Below the Jacket, Metal plates hood with more of the markings. His face was Hidden a long length of Orange Fabric, Acting as botha hood and cloak. Stumbling to his knees, the figure Clenched to his chest in pain. He groaned with a Waped, Male voice before Lifing himself back onto his Feet.

"He is Here.." He spoke under his breathing.

"Status report."
"All systems ready to drop out of subspace."
"Do it."
50 million kilometers above Aesir, a massive object appeared from a brief aperture in the space-time continuum. It appeared to be a giant metallic rose bud, all curled up, with giant engines where the stem would be. Each of the "petals" had space on the inside with an atmosphere and everything on the inside, and various mechanical implements, including lights that simulated the sun, on the outside. Spaceships of all sorts were docked to the insides of the petals, and the superstructure seemed big enough to fit millions.
"We're here." Itsu Solace whispered as she looked out of the bridge's viewscreen at the ring in front of them.

Victoria Atlas groaned as she woke up in total darkness. Of course, this was no issue, since she could see in darkness, but Kyza, her boyfriend, could not. She turned on the lights and rolled back over to her love. "Kyza, wake up. I think we're there."

While riding on his duel runner, Nero's intercom started to buzz. As he clicked it, a person started to speak,
"Neromus? Can you hear me?"
"Loud and clear Shelly. What can I do for you? And how many times do I have to tell you, call me Nero."
"We don't have time for this Neromus. What are your reports about the area, any leads?"
Giving a large sigh, Nero replied,"Thats a negative. The info I was giving was a bust. What do you want me to do?"
"I thought so. For now return back to HQ for a full briefing."
"Roger that, but first I need to ditch the welcoming party. Wouldn't want any unwanted visitors now would we?" Turning his head back, he see's 4 other people chasing him on there duel runners.
"How many times must I tell you not to interfere with... you know what, never mind. Just lose them and get back to Aesir fast as possible."
Wasting no time, Nero speeds up. Going over 200 MPH, he looks behind and sees that he is far enough away. Entering the destination codes on his duel runner, a portal opened up about a mile in front of him. Speeding up even more, he passes through and exits out in Aesir. Taking a deep breath, he says, "Home, there is no place like it."

A red sphere appeared a few feet above part of the city but after a few seconds it vanished revealing Kain in his duel runner. As the sphere vanished Kain fell to the ground and looked around. Well wonder what I need to fix this time, with that he began riding towards a terminal and connected a lap top attached to his runner to it to try and figure out what happened here seeing as his entrances were normally hidden and if not then it means that no one was around to notice. If there are zombies again i will be so pissed, as he looked through the data he found that he wasn't the only one who had recently looked into this system.

A blonde-haired man with red eyes, a black sleeveless shirt with a strange stylized red "R", grey jeans, black combat boots, and a red and black Duel Disk-like device walked onto the bridge, or what was close to it, to stand next to a lovely woman with red hair shaped into fins, a red and black jumpsuit with a black trenchcoat, and a relieved look in her heterochromatic eyes.
"Izzy, what's going on? Have we stopped?" The man asked.
"How many times have I told you not to called me Izzy!" The woman replied, joking around, until she looked back at the viewscreen. "This is it. I can feel it. This is where they came from, and this is where we might be able to find the key to stopping them once and for all!"
"You sure about this, Boss? This giant fancy ring is the key to everything we've been working for?"
"Desna, I haven't felt this alive in millennia! There's something about this ring that is giving me this feeling of...of..."
The woman suddenly fell back and collapsed onto the deck, Desna catching her. Immediately, the other bridge personnel around them started reacting.
"Come on, Boss! You've come so far! Please, let this be just another malfunction! You can make it! You hear me, Itsu Fudo! Itsu? ITSU!!!"
For the first time in eons, Desna Adats, the greatest badass the Duel Monsters multiverse had ever seen, started to cry for one of the very few people he respected in all of existence.

Darkness began to gather from the shadows of everything there. They gathered around the place where Itsu and Desna were, and darkness was destroyed on itself, rising up, to form a shape. The shape of a man in some kind of black cloaked suit. "Itsu is dying! Itsu is dying!" The Tao King announced. "Oh, how I have waited for this day!" He then laughed for a moment, before noticing Desna. "How is she dyingl? Just so you know how I'm here, I've been following you two for a while now. Your shadows stink, by the way. Now then, Deshna, how is she dying? Isn't she supposed to be some kind of super robot machine thing? Oh, and you're crying? Serves you right for being a friend of the one who knocked me off my throne." He looked back at Itsu Solace, or rather, Fudo. "Am I supposed to pay my respects now or should I do that when you're already dead?" He asked.

Some security-looking guys on the bridge aimed their weapons at the Tao King as he prattled on. Desna was about to get up when Itsu flickered back to life. "You are right, my friend. I am dying. But my death has been a slow, agonizing one." She unzipped her suit and opened it to show not only a black lacy bra, but glowing circuits crisscrossing the left half of her body. These circuits, which radiated a toxic shade of green, pulsed and hummed violently. "This is Cireneg Trihsder's last laugh, a nano-virus reverse-engineered from my own hybridized nanites, codenamed 'Usurper'. It began as one nanite, but slowly, it started to reproduce, occasionally cannibalizing one of my nanites to create its own. Now, my entire left arm and most of the left side of my torso belongs to Usurper. My days are numbered, but it will take the virus anywhere from a few days to a few months to completely enter my sensitive systems and corrupt the files inside that make me me. It also chooses to send out these electromagnetic pulses every now and then, completely at random. They cause me to reset and reboot. Very annoying. Fortunately, it only targets my nanites, so Desna and Trixie are immune." She zipped up her jumpsuit. "Now, I need your help. I believe this place to be the source of all Machine Emperors across all timelines. I am so close to unlocking the truth, yet I am so far away from it. I have devoted 2 millennia of my life to Neighborhood Watch: 2 millennia since we last met, since Neighborhood Watch was just starting out. Surely you are willing to ally together for the sake of one last adventure?"

The Tao King shrugged. He looked around at all the security. He could easily defeat them all but still, that wasn't very fun. He thought for a second or do, before deciding. "I cannot follow you inside your shadow all the time, because soon you'll get somewhere where your shadow is too small to be it." He said. "I want to be there when you go out with a bang, Itsu Fudo. So, being related to me in the part that you were the rival and equal of my incarnate father, where he is I have absolutely no idea, and also since the Machine Emperors could pop up at any moment at my homeworld, I, the Tao King, hereby accept this offer of allying. But just note that when you finally go out, I'll be doing my own job. Now, when are we starting?"

Faze was on her' Yusei San' Duel Runner, driving through space. She had created a road across space that is destroying itself. Just behind her Duel Runner was nothing, and it followed as she drove on. In front of her was also nothing, but that was because the road was creating itself. If one looked under her Duel Runner, they would notice that there's something translucent and white beneath it, with pieces coming in at one end, and separating at the other. It saved her the trouble of creating the whole road. Of course, this abuse of Z-one's powers changed her appearance but that didn't matter. She was then there. The road stopped creating itself and Faze dived into Aesir like a crazy motorbike skydiver. It was fun.

Desna and Itsu were shocked. The Tao King, one of their more enigmatic acquaintances, was ALLYING with them?!? Itsu ordered the guards to stand down, and she asked. "Alright, then. I want you to start by telling me how you got on board the Out of Time without anyone noticing." Itsu indicated to a hologram showing the gargantuan metal rosebud they were inside of.

Meanwhile, a series of scout ships disengaged from their docks to go map the Ringworld and locate the source of the distress beacon resonating throughout the Duel Monsters multiverse.

Ryuga sat down on the edge of the lake, the fire he’d started still burning just next to him as he took his meal off it and took a bite from it. He stared across the water towards the trees as the other end of the bank, watching for any signs of life but seeing none. The world he found himself in appeared to be mostly rainforest, at least in the area he was in, but was almost completely devoid of life save for the fish in the lake he’d found. The fact concerned him little as the air was breathable and the plants didn’t seem deadly so it didn’t seem to be a matter of other species being unable to survive.

“I guess in an infinite multiverse, infinite things are possible,” he commented “Even a rainforest filled with nothing but fish.”

He looked down at his meal doubtfully and took another mouthful. A loud beeping distracted him from his thoughts and he looked up from his lunch to his D-Wheel, parked a short ways off. He walked up to it and checked the on board computer.

“A distress signal?” He questioned, reading the message and recognizing it “From another dimension to boot.”

He gave a dry chuckle and finished off his dinner, chucking the bones back into the lake behind him.

“Fat lotta good it’s going to do signalling me,” he said aloud “I can’t get this thing to work properly otherwise I’d…”

He paused, a sudden idea coming to him.

“Let’s see,” he muttered, pulling out the computer’s virtual keyboard “If I can somehow lock on to where it’s coming from, I can direct my temporal path down it and reach the dimension it’s coming from.”

A few seconds of rapid typing later, however, he paused, a frown crossing his face.

“And what good would that do me?” He muttered “I doubt it’ll take me home, and it’s an SOS so I definitely won’t be finding anything too pleasant on the other side.”

He looked around him at the deserted rainforest, heaving a sigh.

“Well, it beats staying here,”

He finished his typing and hopped on his D-Wheel, pulling a pair of blue goggles from the seat compartment and putting them on before starting up his bike. After a few seconds the engine roared to life and Ryuga shot forwards, apparently vanishing into a ripple of air as he did so.

Ryuga hugged the body of his D-Wheel tightly, lest he get thrown off and end up floating between dimensions. The transition between worlds only ever lasted a few seconds, but that was more than enough for carelessness to toss him into an infinite abyss.

Soon enough Ryuga broke through the wall of reality and came to a halt into the deserted town of Aesir. He sat up on his D-Wheel and looked around, seeing nothing in sight. He looked back at the screen of his D-Wheel, the message ‘Signal Lost’ flashing on the dashboard.

“Damnit,” he cursed “At least I got here before that happened.”

He stepped off his D-Wheel and looked about, finding nothing in sight.

“Well that was a waste of a trip,” he muttered.

He got back on his D-Wheel again and attempted to engage the dimensional jump again, but an error message flashed up on the screen.

“What?” He read the message aghast “It overloaded? Damn, that means I’m stuck here till I can fix it.”

He grinded his teeth together and switched back to regular travel mode, tearing off down the street, the roar of his engine the only other sound he could hear in the entire city.

"So then," The Tao King started. " You were unaware that my incarnation, the previous Tao King, had captured the god of Yin. But since her power was just that big, he put her to sleep in his soul. Now, when he died, his soul, still carrying the god of Yin, reincarnated, into me. I only discovered all this after you had finally gotten out of my activities. I have since gained dominance. Yes, I used divine power to get into your ship, but I'm afraid being able to go into shadows as if they were doors and immortality, are the only things it offers me. I'm telling you all this because you're going to die, anyway, so it doesn't matter."

Master Minerva, there's still that other one. . .

Shut up. I'm going to kill that one after SHE dies.

A soft yawn was Victoria's reply as Kyza hauled himself up into some sort of sitting position, the sheets falling around his waist to show his bare torso, a myriad of cuts and slashes and scars covering a pattern of deep, gouged tattoos covering his torso much like her own, only more vicious, more painful to look at, his 'gift' from the Giant itself.

He wipes fatigue from his eyes, mumbling something about coffee before finally glancing towards Vicky's direction, a soft smile on his face as he sees Vicky's form beside him. She meant the worlds to him, and was forever in Itsu's debt for letting them both meet. How long had passed since they had met? He always lost track of time, the curse of Immortality he had once caused it, now calling it more of a blessing.

"...morning love." he whispers softly, a tender kiss placed upon her lips as usual before laying back on the bed, gazing up at the ceiling, a hint of concern gracing his brow, furrowed and thoughtful.

"....so we're here... one last big adventure...."

A silver haired boy with bright blue eyes was bickering, as usual, with another boy with light green hair. Though the green-haired boy's eyes were covered, they were a grassy green. "Shut up, Exo!" the silver haired boy shouted. "I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better then you. And you know it!"

Exo was at a boiling point. "You really think so, eh?! Then let's settle it here and now, Arashi!" Exo exclaimed.

Before Arashi was able to respond, a beeping noise both interrupted them. "Unknown object in Aesir. Head there at once." an digital voice said. Arashi scowled. "Stupid Inter-Dimensional Travler crap! You lucked out Exo!" Arashi said, before getting on his duel runner and heading out. "Beat ya there, Exo!" Arashi shouted off, his voice fading with the wind on his Sky Runner.

"Hey no fair!" Exo said, chasing after him on his duel runner.

Rearing to go back to his place before reporting in, Nero charges up his runner for full speed and takes off. After a half hour of ridding, he starts to think, I just can't believe that the info I received was a lie that lead me into a trap. If it weren't for the fact that HQ sent ME, someone would be dead by now. Pausing for a moment, But I'm sure they would of found a reason to still blame me for something like that too. No longer than a second later, his radar picked up another runner around his location. "That can't be. Other than mine, all the other duel runners are being fixed up at Arry's garage. Who can this be?" All of a sudden, the duel runner he picked up was less than half a mile in front of him. Speeding up to catch him, he turns on his Intercom and starts talking, "Hey pale, I don't know who you are but you are in my territory here. Pull over at once!" A large static sound buzzed through his intercom, Nero switched it off and started to think, Okay, 2 reasons that that happened, 1: I have yet to fix this damn thing to the fullest.... or 2, Looking ahead at the runner that seemed to be gaining more speed, that person is blocking my transmission. "Theres only one way to stop him, power up the Duel Field!" As the surroundings started to change, his duel runner computer said, Duel Mode Activated. "Brace yourself buddy, this is what you get for stepping on my turf!"

"This place is a dump," Ryuga thought to himself as he tore down the streets "Where the hell did that SOS message come from, and how the hell am I going to fix my D-Wheel with nothing around."

The flashing of his bike's onboard computer caught his attention, bringing up a virtual map on his wind-screen displaying the city and himself as small coloured dots and lines, however coming up behind him was another coloured dot.

"Another D-Wheel?" His eyes widened "In this dump?"

His bike's intercom kicked into life but he shut it off.

Is this the guy that sent that distress signal? He thought Or am I missing something here.

He was brought out of his thoughts by his onboard computer again.

Duel Mode Active!

"What!?" He said aloud.

On que, the side areas of his duel fist flipped out and locked in place, the compartment holding his deck opening as well and shuffling automatically. A violete haze surrounded them as the onboard computer made a wide sweep of the area and plotted a course.

"This guy wants to play games?" Ryuga growled "Fine then!"

He reached forward, drawing from his deck and setting them firmly in the holder in front of him.

"You want to duel me?" He yelled over the roar of the engines "Then so be it!"

He took another card from his deck, placing it on the field almost immediately.

"I summon Crystal World Beast in attack mode!" He declared.

A blue circle opened up beside him and a lion, apparently made from white rock with his made made up of crystals leapt down beside him, running alonside his D-Wheel.

"When Crystal World Beast is summoned, I can automatically Special Summon another monster," Ryuga explained "Come forth Crystal World Knight!"

Another creature emerged, this one apparently of a knight in pure white armour, more crystals decorating his body.

"When Crystal World Knight is Special Summoned his effect automatically activates," Ryuga explained "I reduce the ATK of 1 other Crystal World monster I control to 0 and raise my Knight's ATK power by the amount lost!"

Ryuga two monster glowed as the Knight siphoned the energy from the Crystal World beast, reducing the Beast's ATK to 0 as the Knight's ATK became 3300.

"I'll set one card face down and end my turn!" Ryuga said.

A face down card appeared beside his D-Wheel and vanished.

"Come and get me, Ryuga thought.

The Tao King had some kind of 'Duel Spirit'. By his master, he was called a 'Dusk', like what his card form read. But his true name was Thirteen. Of course, his master didn't really care and called him 'Dusk' anyway. Thirteen knew that the Tao King was lying. He had no divine powers at all. The god of Yin was still dormant, sleeping. The truth was that Thirteen had special powers, and it was these special powers that Thirteen brought the Tao King to the ship. The Tao King jumping into shadows was just a spell he had learned from a world. Even so, the Tao King's power was powerful. Thirteen recalled the latest duel the Tao King had had. . .
"Now, prepare yourself!" The Tao King declared. "Organization Thirteen, The Key of Destiny and Organization Thirteen, The Key Counterfeit, are both on my field! And both of their levels are six!"
"Is that supposed to matter?" His opponent, a girl with lime green hair, asked. "Entropy Dracolich is a powerful monster. You couldn't possibly Synchro Summon considering the fact that you have no Tuner monster, and you couldn't Ritual Summon since there's no room in your hand for both a Ritual Spell and a Ritual Monster. Hell, you might have kept them in your hand if you wanted to do a Ritual Summon! What in the name of Z-one makes the levels so important?"
The Tao King just laughed.
"Aha! But I have been to the uttermost distant future! And thus, check this out! Go, I Exceed Summon! By using The Key of Destiny and The Key Counterfeit as Overlay, I Exceed Summon Thirteen, The Key Memory!"
The two monsters on the Tao King's field disappeared, and they were then replaced by a huge monster (ATK 4000). The two monsters that had earlier disappeared then reappeared floating unconscious next the monsters' shoulder's.
"What kind of monster is that?" The opponent asked, not knowing what Exceed Summoning meant.
"It is an Exceed Monster! By using two or more monsters whose Level are the same and equal to the same amount of an Exceed Monster in my hand, I can Exceed Summon that Exceed Monster! Not only that, but the monsters used aren't sent to the Graveyard, instead being used as Overlay Units!"
"Overlay Units?"
"Yes, Overlay Units! Now the effect of The Key Memory! For every Overlay Unit on it, its ATK is increased by 1000!"
The monster's ATK then rose to 6000.
"The concept of these Exceed Monster is confusing."
"I know, right? The Key Memory, attack her Entropy Dracolich!"
OK, so that memory wasn't completely accurate. He doubted some things and thought some other things happened but he did use this new mechanic called Exceed Summoning. The Tao King was never going to live in the past again. He was never going to be the same dumb yet courageous kid without a name again. He was never going to Wen Chan-, no, Miner-, no, Ano-, no, whatever-his-former-mother-had-first-named-him again.

"Crystals monsters?" Nero gazed at his Opponents field. "I've never heard of those before. "Now I activate the Speed Spell, Instant Spell Counters! This adds 3 Spell counters to one of my monsters, I chose my Magical Knight! Ryuga barely even blinked as his cards were destroyed.

A deck with spell counters, he thought This is going to be interesting.

"My draw!" He declared, taking a card from his deck, his speed counters raising to 2.

"I play my Angel Baton spell card!" Ryuga said "Since I have 2 Speed Counters, I can draw twice and then send a card from my hand to the graveyard.

Ryuga took two cards from his deck, placing them in his hand and taking another to send to his graveyard.

"Now I Release my Crystal World Beast," Ryuga continued "To summon Crystal World Golem!"

Ryuga's monster collapsed into a brightly coloured blob which split open, a new monster emerging from it; a towering, deformed giant made of stone and crystals which hovered just above Ryuga's D-Wheel.

"Crystal World Golem, attack his Dragon Trailer!" Ryuga ordered.

Ryuga's monster flew forwards, raising one of its massive fists to attack Nero's monster.

As he flipped open his face down, a Large ring like shield appeared and blocked the Golems attack and Shards of light sprinkled on Nero, increasing his life points."Thanks for the Life points my friend. How about you stop playing around and get serious about this. I mean, I can read your strategies a mile away." I don't get it, Nero thought. Why is this guy here and where did he come from. Speeding up to him, Nero just smiles and thinks, Well, the only way to find out is to win this duel.

Ryuga frowned, glaring at his opponent through his goggles.

"A few more life points won't save you," he replied calmly "I'll place 2 cards face down and end my turn."

Two face down cards appeared either side of Ryuga and he kicked his D-Wheel up a gear, seeding up along the deserted street.

His deck relies on Spell Counters Ryuga thought Perhaps I'll be able to use this to my advantage.

Hmmm, more face downs, that could be trouble. "Then it's my turn, draw!" Speed count: 2 looking at his hand and back at the field he starts planing. That Golem is no problem to deal with, it's those face downs I have to worry about. Gazing back at his hand, he picks one of them and says, "For starters, I'm summoning my Barbarian Sorcerer in defense position." A young girl wearing very little armor with fur appeared with her guard up. "Next I activate my Dragon Trainers effect once more to Special summon a monster from my deck, Say hello to my tuner monster Level Altener!" A priestess appeared with 2 stars hovering around her. "Once this monster is summoned, she gains 2 Spell counters and during my turn, I can remove those counters to increase he level by that many. I remove her 2 counters to make her a level 4 monster and tune with my Dragon Trainer! Here come the fun, I summon my Ancient Sorcerer Dragon!" As Neros two monsters started to merge with one another, a flash of light surrounded the area and a Dragon with energy wings took there place. Nero smiled widely, "Thats just for starters! When this Dragon comes into play it gains 5 Spell counters along with a power boost with each one making it a 3000 attack point monster." Roaring loudly, his dragon looked ready for battle. "Now here comes some pain! I attack with my Dragon and my magical knight! For my knight to attack I must remove a spell counter from her, dropping her atk to 3500. But my dragon picks up that counter increasing his atk to 3500 also. Say good bye to your life points!"

Ryuga's golem was destroyed, his life points dropping to 2600 and his speed counters to 2.

"I reveal my trap card," Ryuga said "Defense Draw!"

Ryuga drew a card from his deck, the dragons attack washing over him but leaving no trace.

"Defense Draw reduces my damage to zero, allowing me to draw a card," Ryuga explained "Now, if you're finished..."

He looked over at his opponent, his eyes narrowed.

The sooner I get this over with the better, I can't afford to be wasting any time.
