Perhaps the point is to not use custom cards, and if this was all about YCM, there wouldn't be a Clubs section, Fan-fic section, etc. Only a Custom cards section.

Lelouch is right. I did explain what the point of using said game is. The fact that custom cards were used eliminates an important Plot factor: Konami's ability to nerf. How can Konami possibly nerf a nonexist card?

Don't be all that disappointed, though. You can use practically any anime card in this game. Though that is discouraged, for the same reason as the above one.

I'm sorry, but I have been playing this game since the Yugi and Kaiba Starter Decks came out, and I have no idea what "nerfing" means.
Plus, using custom cards allows all sorts of ideas, even if they might not be good ones.
I mean, how about if the government made everyone wear blue all of the time just because they didn't like the colors green and purple? What about red, orange, yellow, and the other colors? How would you feel about that?

An obviously exaggeration of an example fails to prove your point.

It's very simple how this works: The RP creator decides if he wants Custom Cards or not to be in the Yugioh RP.

If Yes, let the creativity flow and wacky adventures follow.

If No, let things be more realistic in Duels and make things competitive.

As for Nerfing: To basically weaken a character/card drastically, reducing its usefulness.

Okay, people! First NPC App. This is the Sample for Nobles.

[spoiler=Noble App]Card Chosen: Ancient Fairy Dragon.
Real World Alias: Annie Argon
Personailty: Annie is a kind person by nature. She will always put others' needs before her own, no matter how small or insignificant they might be. She tries her hardest to make everything in the surroundings to be as convenient as possible to everyone around her. She will rarely speak up at all, preferring to show what she thinks with her actions rather than with words.
Human Appearance: Annie's figure is rather curvaceous. She is 1.74 Meters tall. Her long, straight, turquoise hair flows down her back, graciously swinging in the air when she turns her head around. Her mouth is not lippy, but her small lips sparkle with a pale pink. Her eyes have yellow pupils, and are deep and soft-looking- as if she was always about to cry. She wears a pink-and-gold-ornamented, light blue dress, covering all the way down to her feet. It is quite tight, though; so it often drags unnecessary attention.
Deck: I'm not writing this. You are supposed to know how to build a Deck.
RP Sample: Ancient Fairy Dragon was shocked by what Ra had just declared.
Becoming human...? How could we possibly...? But there was no real time to ponder about anything. All over the room, various voices spoke up and raised hands, claws, wings, or whatever everyone present would have. She was rather hesitant, at first, to actually volunteer for this. After all, if the Polar Gods had been easily dispatched by these Devils, how could they, mere Monsters, stand up against them? But then, different thoughts invaded her head. The madness had to stop. Lives are at stake. They couldn't just sit there, expecting the soluton -or even the end- to come to them!
No further thoughts were necessary. She vigorously raised her long, fleshy, stylish hand, and spoke up.
"I will become the beacon which shall lead us to to salvation! No other lives will be lost to these Daemons!" She was glad to see everyone around her was either cheering or smiling and clapping at her. Even Slifer himself twisted both of his mouths in approval.[/spoiler]

Okay guys, here goes your Antagonist App:

[spoiler=You know you want it.]Card Chosen: Machine Imperial Soldier Skiel Ein
Real World Alias: Cielo Uno
Personality: Cielo is cold and calculative. His deceives often trick the most cunning into bending to his will. At some point, he would help others overcome pain. Now, the only help he provides it to his selfish purposes, by calling his brothers into helping [i]him.[/i] He shows to be good and lawful, but his actions have become strangely suspicious over the course of the last few days...
Human Appearance: Cielo uses, deep blue, mainly. He wears bright blue jeans, a bright blue hoodie, the hood trimmed golden, and blue snickers. His eyes seem to be fixed, as if they could only move barely. His pupils are red-colored. He seems to walk curved. He carries a blue and black backpack, and has never been seen without it. He is not really tall, and not walking straight doesn't really help that. His hair is of a metallic grey, thought it is often covered by the hoodie.
Deck: I'm not filling this. 'Tis a surprise. No one can possibly imagine what this Deck could be about.
RP Sample: Ra finished speaking, and voices were starting to be heard. Soon, hands, claws, and whatever were being raised into the air. To Skiel Ein and his brothers, this was but hogwash. Their older brothers were missing, and not even Skiel Ein's parents were doing anything about it. Upset, they three left the room in silence, right before Ancient Fairy Dragon gave off her speech.
As they walked off to their residence, Fortissimo the Moving Fortress, something crept up behind the three brothers. This time, though, the shadow seemed to have engaged them separately. To Skiel Ein, the voice spoke: "You wish to seek your brothers, are we correct?" Silently, and scared, Skiel Ein replied; "Y-yes. But what is your business with me? What do you know.?" "Oh, we know. Trust us. If you really want to know, follow us. Accept the gift we offer you." Skiel Ein was hesitant. Give his soul to the Devil... was he willing to do that?
Then his generous nature took up control. He would find his brothers, he told himself. "I will. Show me the way." "Good..." Straight after that, a tendril of shadow pierced through his metallic head. As it came out, all of Skiel Ein's good, noble thoughts had been replaced by those of deceit and self-center.
The shadow dispersed, allowing the three brothers to reunite. But, contrary to Skiel Ein, it seemed like Grannel Ein and Wisel Ein had taken the noble path. [i]So,[/i] Skiel Ein thought, [i]I'll have to trick my very own. Brothers. So be it. I swear to the life of my parents, I will find them.[/i][/spoiler]


Oh, and I've decided that your personality should try and fit your monster's effect. xD

No sir. Because of this, I've decided to make Duels Live. This is where it gets a little compromising.

In this game, we will play. I suggest that you actually take a day or two to familiarize with the system.

[spoiler=Introduction (IS LONG)][left]Run! Run for all you stand for!” Shooting Star Dragon yelled at Odin.

Little did Odin actually realize what was about to fall on him and his brothers. Not even the Three Polar Gods were to escape what was about to befall on their fates. Silently, a shadow loomed and leapt from behind, consuming all three Polar Gods, all at the same time. As soon as they saw themselves trapped inside of the shadow, they all three dropped on their knees. They stared, in horror, as they saw their Divinity fly away into the seemingly infinite Darkness. As this happened, the inner sides of the Gods appeared. Thor grew wild and mindless; his powerful blows no longer controlled, but rather resembled, The Movements of the wildest, strangest beasts. Loki was consumed by this very Darkness. His powers were drastically diminished, and his gathered variety of Spirits, quickly flew away and dispersed. Odin, barely able to stand conscious, raised his staff, and even Shooting Star Dragon heard the unmistakable chant. Soon, Angels descended from the Boreal Lights, and carried their Lord up, up in the sky.

They were no longer Gods, and their problems were not yet over. Whereas Odin escaped to the above, and Loki was dragged into the Darkness, Thor was bound to stay on Earth. This would later turn him into the second Demon’s first Victim. An almighty voice resounded, seemingly hundreds of feet above Thor.
“We cannot allow Divinity to exist in our perfectly balanced World. Future minds must be preserved!” With this, Thor was removed of what last kept him as a God: His title itself. The voice raged on; “From this day, you will be known as ‘Thor, Lord of Aesir’. You will soon hear of us.” The voice said no more.

This happened twice again. Loki was doomed to the same fate as his brother, whereas Odin received a title no Polar God had ever been called before. “Father.”
Upon hearing the horrible news, Junk Synchron went back, up to the Legendary three, those who were able to resist the influences of these Demons who now tormented the Universe. Speaking up to the three Egyptian Gods, Junk Synchron bowed before them.

“Sirs, I have come back with dreadful news. Three of your kin, three Gods; have been drained from their divinity by the Demons. It seems they are working together, now.

[b][color="#3366FF"]“Hmph,”[/color][/b] muttered Obelisk, in hearing of these most disturbing words, [b][color="#3366FF"]“so finally Konami and 4Kids came together. Separate, only Konami managed to get its hand on us. But together… it was time this happened, wasn’t it; Ra?”[/color]

[/b] The gigantic, blue mastodon turned its mighty head in the Winged Dragon’s direction, only to find him as a Sphere. [b][color=red]“Don’t bother, Obelisk.”[/color][/b] Yelled back Slifer, the Sky Dragon, [b][color=red]“he’s meditating. Remember his was most scarred by Konami. His judgment was not, don’t you worry.” [/color][/b]

Indeed, soon enough Ra came back to his senses, and assumed his regular form. Standing up, extending its wings, the Dragon called:
[b][color=yellow]“I have come to decision, then. As most of us know, our world is not the only one in existence. There is a parallel one, in which we are but pieces of cardboard. But these Devils, both Konami and 4Kids, have come from there. Some of us will have to cross over. Those who adventure in that world must assume a material form, a ‘shell’, of sorts, as to imitate their appearance. Who will it be then, who takes the mission to save our world from the fate which has befallen our dear brothers, if they can do that to Gods then what could they do to the rest of you? Who will answer the call?!”[/color][/b][/left][/spoiler]
