When this card is Summoned: Place 4 Airwave Counters on this card (max. 7). Destroy all monsters on the field whose level or rank is lower than the amount of Airwave Counters on this card. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card and detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; add 1 Spell Card from your Deck to your hand, then banish up to 3 Spell or Trap Cards from your opponent's Graveyard.

You can Special Summon this card by Tributing 2 "Sonic" monsters. When this card is Summoned, place 4 Airwave Counters on this card (max. 12). During each of your Standby Phases, add 1 Airwave Counter to a monster on the field (except this card). Monsters on the field with a Level equal to the amount of Airwave Counters on this card can attack in Defense Position. When your opponent declares an attack, you can remove 1 Airwave Counter from this card to negate the attack.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing 8 Airwave Counters from monsters you control. Once per turn, if there is a monster(s) on your opponent's field whose Level is lower than the amount of Airwave Counters on this card, you can remove all Airwave Counters on this card to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the difference between the amount of counters removed and the monster's level x300. Decrease the ATK and DEF of all non "Sonic" monsters on the field by 300. During your Standby Phase, add 1 Airwave Counter to a monster on the field. After a "Sonic" monster attacks, you can pay Life Points equal to the amount of Airwave Counters on it x100 to switch it to Defense Position. When a Defense Position "Sonic" monster is attacked, add 1 Airwave Counter to this card (max. 10). When this card has 10 Airwave Counters on it, destroy this card. Your opponent skips his/her next turn.

Equip only to a "Sonic" monster. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK & DEF. You can remove 2 Airwave Counters from the equipped monster to negate a card effect that targets the equipped monster and destroy it. When this card would be destroyed, you can remove 2 Airwave Counters from a face-up "Sonic Reactor" on the field to equip it to a monster your opponent controls with the following effect: The equipped monster cannot attack.

Once per turn, you can shuffle 2 Monster Cards in your hand back into your Deck, if you do, Special Summon 1 "Sonic" monster from your Extra Deck with a Type different to the monsters shuffled back into your Deck. If there are 2 or more monsters on your field with the same Type, destroy all but 1 of them, then add Airwave Counters to any monsters or a face-up "Sonic Reactor" on the field equal to the amount of Airwave Counters on the destroyed monsters.

Monsters on your opponent's field lose 200 ATK and DEF for each Airwave Counter on them. When your opponent attacks a Defense Position monster you control, you can remove 1 Airwave Counter from your opponent's field to negate the attack.

During each of your Standby Phases, you must activate 1 of the following effects, depending on the amount of Airwave Counters on the field:
● 0-4 - discard 1 card
● 5-9 - Add 1 Airwave Counter to a face-up "Sonic Reactor" on the field.
● 10-14 - Add 1 Airwave Counter to any monster on the field.
● 15-24 - Change the level of 1 monster on the field until the End Phase.
● 25 or more - Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Sonic" monster from your hand or Graveyard.

Add up to 3 Airwave Counters to 1 monster you control. Then inflict damage to your opponent equal to the amount of Airwave Counters on the field x100.

All face down Spell & Trap Cards on the field are turned face-up, destroy all Trap Cards on the field. Then return all Spell cards to their original position. You can remove 3 Airwave Counters from a face-up "Sonic Reactor" on the field to destroy all copies of the destroyed Trap Cards in both players Decks.

Activate only when a "Sonic" monster you control is attacked. Destroy all monsters your opponent controls except the attacking monster. As long as the attacking monster is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Summon any monsters.

Activate only if you have 1 or more "Sonic" monsters on your field. Destroy all cards on the field. "Sonic" monsters Summoned during the turn this card was activated receive twice the amount of Airwave Counters they would otherwise.

You can only equip this card to a monster your opponent controls. The equipped monster's Level is decreased by 2. When the equipped monster is destroyed, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the amount of monsters on the field with a higher level than the destroyed monster x300. If the equipped monster is destroyed by a monster in Defense Position, instead of destroying this card, you can equip this card to another monster on your opponent's field.

These cards are amazing. I'm just a little unsure as to their use:

My problem is this: "Monsters on the field with a level [b][/b]EQUAL to the amount of Airwave Counters on this card can attack in Defense Position"

Now, I'm not aware of cards that can change the level count on you're opponents monsters, and if that's the case and a deck can be built for it brill. But shouldn't it read something like: "Monsters on the field with a level [b][/b]EQUAL to [b][/b]OR LESS THAN the amount of Airwave Counters on this card can attack in Defense Position"

But having said that, that's probably making them OP??

I'm not sure what to think of them because their very different to anything I'm used to playing with. Or is that just me being a newbie?

i came in here not expecting much, as the OCG/TCG has done sound-related stuff recently, but i was pleasantly surprised. pleasantly surprised is always a good way to be your first time back to this section in awhile. it is implied that there are more of these. i would be interested in seeing them. 9/10 because nothing is perfect, and because i'd really like to see some s/t support.

You make a good point, if these cards were made individually, it would be horribly circumstancial. Even though this deck still relies on luck to a certain degree, it does have cards which balance the levels/counters of cards to make the somewhat powerful effects easier to use.

But I didn't make a typo, I did intend to say equal than and not less than, although there are 1 (maybe 2..) cards that do have the less than prefix, which makes them more versatile. Thanks for your comment.

I will add some more cards to this tomorrow, most of the deck is entirely done, but much still needs tweaking, but I'll post a couple of spells/traps & maybe another monster. ;)

Great cards! The OCG is a little rusty here and there, but I'm afraid I can't help you there, though I would. I would say, based on what you have here, they are fairly balanced, although some or a tad UP'ed, due to the fact of total luck. Me, being a little OP thinking, would make a card that could manipulate the levels of monsters, but I am not suggesting that. Overall, great cards!

I find theres always the odd phrase you just aren't 100% sure on how to put, so I just put what looks right half the time. :ph34r:

As for the making a card that could manipulate levels, well, I do have one of them, I'll include it in my 3rd update. :D

Capitalize "Level"
You can shorten "opponent's side of the field" to "opponent's field"
On "Sonic Reactor": "Decrease the ATK and DEF of all non "Sonic" monsters on the field by 300."


Nice pics. They fit perfectly with the cards.

I like the effects. They can be devastating when used right.

I guess it is odd as an archetype name.
The reason for choosing the name sonic was..
well I had this game a whileback where there were 'sonic' soldiers who fired there 'sonic' beams (this is emperors of dune, ancient game..), and they had a circular blue shape, so I kind of continued from that logical really.

Idk, the idea just appeared.
