Max Darkness
The next set to fall under the remaking light. Originally an odd, unfocussed archetype created because of good pictures; the renewal has made them a Removal-RFP-Contact-Fusion archetype (why do I keep coming up with too-complicated ways to summon monsters?). Fittingly with newer archetypes, they are centred on a single card. Rate and enjoy. Effect: When this card is Normal Summoned and you have 1 or more removed from play Fusion Monsters, you can Special Summon 1 "Twisted" monster from your hand. When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can remove 1 Fusion monster in your Extra Deck or Graveyard from play. Effect: You can reveal and remove this card in your hand from play to add 1 "Twisted Gateway" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Effect: If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If your opponent controls no monsters, this card cannot attack during the turn it is Special Summoned this way. During each player's End Phase, the turn player removes the top card of their Deck from play OR removes 1 monster in their Extra Deck from play. Effect: Spell and Trap Cards sent to the Graveyard are removed from play instead. If a face-up "Twisted" monster you control would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead. Effect: "Twisted Scorp" + 1 "Twisted" monster This card can only be Special Summoned from your Removed from Play Zone by removing the above cards you control from play while "Twisted Gateway" is on the field. (You do not use "Polymerization".) When this card is Special Summoned, remove from play 2 cards on the field. Monsters that would be destroyed by battle by this card are not destroyed, and are removed from play instead. "Twisted Gateway" cannot be destroyed by card effects. Effect: "Twisted Vanguard" + 1 "Twisted" monster This card can only be Special Summoned from your Removed from Play Zone by removing the above cards in your hand or on your side of the field from play while "Twisted Gateway" is on the field. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Monsters destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard are removed from play instead. When this card battles, you can remove 1 monster in your Extra Deck from play to have this card gain ATK equal to the removed monster's Level x 100, until the End Step. Windfang
Well damn. A RFP set that's not overkill. I can actually see this working. The cards aren't OPed. Their effects are well thought out and the images are wicked. 10/10 Hope to see more of these

Windfang
Okay the new cards are I like, Though I have 1 question, Why are they all Earth Monsters? Usually Pyro types are Fire
Max Darkness
Okay the new cards are I like, Though I have 1 question, Why are they all Earth Monsters? Usually Pyro types are Fire
The "Gemknights" are other exceptions. But the reason is I wanted an all EARTH archetype, and an EARTH Pyro-Type can be justified as being made from magma/lava (ie molten earth) compared to fire. Lexadin
Good cards Max. Though they're not the best archtype you've ever made, they seartenly are effective and ballanced. Also their images are excelent. A 8.6/
Max Darkness
Good cards Max. A 8.6/10
Like I said, they were an image-first, effect-second archetype. There's not much more I can do with RFP (I seem to have done everything the current mechanics allow...), so they are a little generic.
