*************Assoka Maternia************

Assoka Maternia sat, rather boredly, under the large oak tree near the front of her school. “Man.” She muttered, pulling out a schedule. “Science…….UGGH! Not Ms Phillips AGAIN! Then Maths with Mr Hitches. Great!” Assoka shoved the schedule back in her bag.

Lunch Time

Assoka sat under the tree again. She bit hungrily into her sandwich, before poking her tongue out in disgust . “Mum is so stupid. She KNOWS I don’t like peanut butter, yet she continuously feeds it to me. GROSS!” She fished her I-Pod from her bag, and began to play some random playlists.

Reika Casterwill leant against the large school building with a sigh. She could see kids all around, going about their daily school business, while she was left alone. Other children her age gave her a wide berth, which annoyed her immensely. All she wanted were friends, but none did she have. But that simply couldn’t be helped. With another sigh, she bit into her lunch.[/color]

Tall and handsome, Richter walked around randomly. His shades covered his eyes. He whisteled a small tune that he'd soon forget and sat against a wall. He looked over at one girl and let his shades fall a little so he could check her our a little. He tried his best not to be obvious, but he wasn't good at hidding things. Richter forgot everything eventually, even his own name a few times, but he could have sworn he seen this girl before. He took a small bag off of his back and sat it next too himself. He took out a canteen and a cup, he poured iced tea out of the canteen into his cup and sipped it down in a goofy way.

[b][u]Charves Lathrope's Story:[/u][/b]

Charves was outside the school, sitting on a window ledge and reading a book as he always did. Charves wasn't the most popular guy and no one really talked to him which was weird; he didn't look like a nerd and he didn't act like a dweeb and yet no one every wanted to hang out with him. It's been like this since pre-school and he has accepted it and lives with it everyday. "When I get out of here, I'm moving far far away where no one knows me so I can get some friends to talk to." Charves said and then sighed, after a few moments he went back to reading his book...

Sarah was quaintly eating her lunch int he lunchroom surround by nameless friends who were talking to her as they ate. Sarah liked the school she was in and wanted to be involved in everything, which is why she was the treasurer of the student council four the first three years of school but decided to give someone else a shot this year. "Yeah, we'll definitely go check it out!" Sarah said to one of her friends, not really paying attention. The whole time during lunch she knew she was there, lurking in the shadows of her soul...

Ray was sitting with his friends at a large table. There were girls and boys of different elasticities but they got along great. Ray was eating a ham sandwich and loosely paying attention to his friend's conversations when he heard his name called. He turned to see his African-American friend Jrue. He asked Jrue to repeat what he had said. "I said, what do you think of the news," he repeated. Ray just raised his eyebrow at Jrue, causing Jrue to sigh,"Where's your mind at right now? I'm talking about the news that scientists found out how to give someone superpowers. Man, that could really help them against the bad supers," he said. Ray smirked, "I could care less about anything to do with supers. Bad or good, they don't belong here. They should be outcasted to a faraway planet where they won't ever be heard of or remembered," he replied taking a large bite out of his sandwich. Jrue looked disappointed, whereas the rest were nodding. Candice, a girl who liked Ray, spoke up. "That's a little harsh, don't you think Ray? I mean, they are human like us..." She said. Ray just shrugged and continued to eat his sandwich

Felicity heard the bell ring. Great. A brief period of reading begins now. Lunch was the only time that she could read freely. Even when she was supposed to read in English class, there was almost always a teacher to point out that she "...Should work on something school related." Specifically she "... should be reading something that was assigned in class."

Felicity heard both interchangeably and often

Finding a spot under a tree, Felicity sat down and read her own book. Not some school-assigned garbage. Her own book. No food. It was too time-consuming to eat. Plus, it would get all over her precious reading material. Or, at least, it might.

It was better to be safe and just not eat.

As Assoka sat boredly listening to her I-Pod's music, an annoucement was heard.
"Everyone! This may seem a rather strange scenario, but goverment agents have come to our school. Now, this may seem a stranger request, but if ANY of you begin to glow blue, and I mean ANYONE, you MUST report to the front of the school IMMEADITLY. That is all."
Assoka rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah, so suddenly we'll all start glowing blue. Next thing you know they'll say we have super powers." She laughed. As she flicked through songs again, something caught her eye. "WHAT!" She shrilled.
Her hand was glowing a faint blue color.
"No way!" She muttered. She considered what to do. "Well, the annoucment said if you glow blue, go to the front of the school. So go I shall."

[color="#FF0000"]Reika listened in surprise as the annoucement was... well...... annouced. "Glowing blue?" She muttered. Looking around, she could see scattered individuals glowing blue. "Oh well. Won't happen to me." She muttered. She glanced at herself quickly, as if to confirm wat she'd said.
Clearly her statement was false.
She now glowed with a faint blue aura. She shrugged. "I guess I best go to the front of the school." She considered. Making up her mind, she walked towards her destination.[/color]

Richter was sipping his tea and humming too himself. The announcement came on and a few people he noticed where glowing blue. "What a strange little event this day had brought me... oh well, I'm sure I'm not part of it. It appears the important people get too do all the crazy things... and like my mom said, 'Richy, you poor excuse of a son! you'll never be important, Do not even try...' Oh, how I love that ol'wind bag!" Richter said in a cheerful way and he noticed that the girl he was watching start too glow blue and walk away. He looked down and he started too glow blue. "Damn... And I hope I could finish the rest of my tea! Oh, well, I should probably follow that girl..." Richter dumped out his tea and backed his things together before he slung his little bag over his shoulder and began too follow the girl he was looking at.

Blue... That may or may not be a problem. It would certainly be different. Imagine, walking home and your legal guardians never treating you the same because you had this nice blue aura to you. It could be either a positive change or a negative change. Felicity secretly hoped for a negative one, if any at all. She might be able to call child abuse.

Not that her guardians were abusive, it was just that she had nothing in common with them. They loved everything that she didn't. They loved math. Felicity, not so much. They hated the horror genre. Completely the opposite for Felicity.

Bookmarking the page she was on, Felicity headed to her destination as ordered. Who knows? Something good might come out of this.

John pulled out a wrap and a bottle of milk from his bag. it was what he always had for lunch. He began eating, while at the same time reading a book. He always had something to occupy his time while eating. Reading, writing, drawing , video games, etc. It was what he always did. Every day, he would get his lunch bag, walk towards the bench on the west end of the school, and eat the same lunch. He even personalized the area with a pillow, because everyone knew he sat there at lunch, and liked him enough to not touch is spot. He was just getting to the exciting part, while also polishing off his wrap, when he was interupted by an announcment. "If ANY of you begin to glow blue, and I mean ANYONE, you MUST report to the front of the school IMMEADITLY." He looked around. He noticed that some students were beginning to glow. He looked down and noticed that he was too. [i]Glowing is never good. Never good at all. Except for when it is good, then in that case glowing is good![/i] he thought. John chugged the last of his milk, put his book away, and walked towards the front of the school.

Ray listened carefully to the announcement along with his friends. They all laughed together in unison after the announcement was done. "Glow blue? That's something you would see in a movie," Ray mocked. He looked at Jrue to see his reaction to the announcement only to see him glowing blue. Ray gave him a shocked face while Jrue was grinning wide. Then Jrue pointed at Ray and Ray looked down at his hands and saw he was glowing blue as well. Ray turned to see the rest of his friends but none of them were blue and they all gave him shocked expressions. Jrue got up and motioned for Ray to follow him, to which Ray reluctantly accepted.

Charves, who was still thumbing through his book on the window sill, started getting a strange blue aura around his body. "What the fu-" The next word out Charves' mouth was interrupted by the principles announcement. "I see, welp, I'm already in front of the school mine as well see what this is about." Charves said, sounding more like they probably already saw his aura and wouldn't let him go anyway.

Sarah started growing blue but it seemed thicker and brighter than some other peoples. "This is odd, even after the principal's announcement." Sarah got up and started walking out of the cafeteria in a dazed state of emotions...[/color]

A figure was floating in a cloudy darkness. "Soon...soon this body will be all mine." The figure said, laughing menacingly as the abyss got cloudier and cloudier...[/color]

Edmond Intrilligator is a nerdy, slightly autistic, and kind-hearted teen. He had completed the first half of his day, which contains physics( Mr. Cooper), chemistry(Mrs. Fisher), and Drama(Mr. Stanley), some of his favorite classes. Edmond especially likes science classes. He has now made it to lunch. Little does he know, this lunch will change his, and others lives forever. [color="#0000FF"]"Hello Craig."[/color] Edmond walks over to sit next to his good friend, Craig Criddle. [color="#00FF00"]" Hi, Edmond. Come, take a seat."[/color] As Edmond sits down, they are approached by another friend, Karen Eldredge. [color="#FFA500"]" Hi, is it OK if I sit here?"[/color] [color="#00FF00"]" Of course!"[/color] Then, the strange announcement came over the intercom. "Everyone! This may seem a rather strange scenario, but goverment agents have come to our school. Now, this may seem a stranger request, but if ANY of you begin to glow blue, and I mean ANYONE, you MUST report to the front of the school IMMEADITLY. That is all." [color="#FFA500"]"What?!?"[/color] [color="#0000FF"]" I have no id- Holy mackerel, Karen, you're glowing!"[/color][color="#FFA500"]"You too!"[/color] Craig looked at his hand, and realized he was also glowing. [color="#00FF00"]" Uh, we should report to the front of the school."[/color]

Assoka arrived out the front, noting lots of other students had also come. Some she knew, most she didn't. Not many people liked her because of her bossy attitude, she knew this. But she couldn't help being like that. If nobody is nice to her, why should she treat them with respect? Ar least she wasn't classified as a bully. All she did was boss you around a bit. Bullies boss you around, then attack you and tease you. At least Assoka did it in a semi-polite way. Not that it mattered. She stood with the others as a goverment agent, presumably as scientist, came up to a small stand so everyone could see and hear. "Students!" The scientist called. "I'm am Dr Monoghan. Now, I'm sure you are all wondering what this is all about. I'm sure you've all heard about superhuman incidents around the world?" Several students nodded, including Assoka. "You see, they've been rioting, destroying, robbing and even, in some cases, killing other people. Us goverment agents were rather desperate for help, so we created these machines." Dr Monoghan pointed a machine that looked, to Assoka, similar to a gun, but larger. But remember, Assoka's no scientist. "These machins can shoot rays, which awaken a gene all you here have. This gene grants superhuman abilities. We have done this in order to, hopefully, recruit you, in order to fight the rising crime. Fighting fire with fire, I suppose you could say. Now, do you all want to help us fight the evil supoerhumans?" At this, several students walked away. Assoka just stood there, contemplating her decsion.

[color="#FF0000"]Reika arrived at the front of the school. She knew nobody here, except for a few people in her classes. Only to be expected by the tallest girl in school. After all, she was bordering 6 ft tall. That's tall, even for most boys. She couldn't help it. She didn't ask to be super tall. She stood at the back of the large gathering, leaning against a wall like she usually did. Leaning against walls made her feel better, because the walls were bigger than her. It made her feel smaller than standing in the middle of a group. She listened, wide eyed, to Dr Monoghan's speech. "Powers?" She muttered under her breath. Glancing at the machine, she could see it humming away, as if still shooting rays. Her thoughts were interrupted when the crowd dispersed. Shaking her head, she realised some of the crowd were left. She heard someone mutter, "fighting evil superhumans?" She nodded, catching up to everyone. She wanted to find out her powers. She wanted to fight the evil superhumans, to prove that she wasn't a freak. To prove that to the world. She walked foward. "I'm in!" She said, sounding more confident than usual.[/color]

If Felicity knew any of these people, it was because they had, at some point, interrupted her reading. She always tried to push these people out of her mind, but some incidents were a little earlier in the past. In terms of names, though, nobody sparked her memory, and she didn't feel like learning any. She was more intent on listening to what this scientist had to say.

No, she didn't watch the news...
No, she wasn't aware of superhumans running rampant...
No, she didn't know what that gun did...
Yes, she knew what fighting fire with fire meant...
Yes, she wanted to be recruited...

It was more of a way to get away from her legal guardians than her feeling morally responsible. If she was recruited by the government, wouldn't they take her away? At least for a little while? It would be a chance to escape from the polar opposites that they were. And when she got back, maybe she could start a new relation with them, like being open about her passion for reading, instead of hiding behind a math textbook reading her favorite Lovecraft stories.

[color="#FF8C00"]"It's kind of strange that the three of us are friends, were sitting next to each other at lunch, and are glowing blue for whatever reason, don't you think?"[/color] [color="#0000FF"]"Indeed, it's quite coincedental."[/color] As the three friends are walking down the hill to the front of the school, they notice approximately 20 others, including aquaintences Lan Marsh, and Itachi Saturiki ((OOC:They're NPC's)). I'll take this opportunity to describe Edmond, Karen, and Craig. Karen's height is average. She's thin, with glasses, black eyes and red hair done up in a bun, with 2 small strands hanging down. Edmond is downright skinny, borderline emaciated (He is a picky eater). He's short, with blue eyes and blonde hair on a large head. Craig is very tall, with bright green eyes and brown hair. They were amazed when they found out they had obtained super powers. And recruitment? They all came to the same conclusion. They walked over to Dr. Monaghan. [color="#00FF00"]"Count us in."[/color] [color="#0000FF"]"Dr. Monaghan, are you a physicist?"[/color] "Yes."[color="#0000FF"] "In that case, I have a question for you."[/color] Karen leaned over to whisper in Dr. M's ear.[color="#FFA500"]"Treat him seriously. He is the singular smartest person I know. He'll know all the terminology."[/color] "Okay, so, whats your question?" [color="#0000FF"]"The machine that gave us our powers resembles a particle collider. Does it function in a similar way?"[/color] "You are smart. It does, just instead of smashing 2 baryons into each other, it forces a strange quark into a neutron. At that point it ceases to be a neutron, with 2 down quarks, 1 up quark, & 1 strange quark. It then ceases to be stable, and..." [color="#0000FF"]"It decays, releasing the waves"[/color] "Exactly." [color="#0000FF"]"Fascinating."[/color]

Richter grinned, the girl he was following from before seemed especially confident. He walked by and ignored everyone else besides the scientific looking guy and his little request. Richter had found his way into being important, he had found a way to prove to his mother that he wasn't such a let down. But curiousity and Randomness got the better of Richter and he walked up to the machine and took a closer look without touching it, his last science class had already beaten that little tip into him the hard way(Two chemical baths and in school suspension). Richter's eyes grew wider as he was getting more and more interested, he removed his shades and looked over at the scientist that seemed to be getting a small crowd around him with one kid asking something.

John walked onto the grass in the front of the school. He really wanted to know why he and other students were glowing blue. He was listening to the speach when the man mentioned the device. John looked over to the gun-like machine with awe. He was always fascinated by these things. He stopped paying attention to everything else and focused only on the device. He looked it over, trying to figure out how it worked. He pictured all of the parts, and formulas in his mind. He noticed it seemed simillar to a particle collider. [i]But how would a collider that small even work?[/i] he thought. He saw the doctor having a conversation with another student in his class. He didn't know him, but he knew that if anyone was to understand these things as well as him, it would be Edmond, and he knew what they were probably talking about. John moved closer to listen in on the conversation. As he listened, he hit himself in the head. "Of course! It's so obvious!" he whispered. He usually noticed these things right away, but the waves seemed to be messing with his head. He put the subject aside for later. For now he went back to the fact that he would have superpowers, and would have to fight villanous superhumans. What power might he get? Elasticity? Time Travel? Infinite knowledge of the universe and all of it's secrets? He would just have to wait. "Yes, I will help" he said.

Dr. Monaghan pulled out a megaphone and begins to speak. "Has anyone not yet decided?" Itachi speaks up. "How dangerous is it?" "There is obviously danger involved, but not as much as you might think. You'll be backed up by police, local and S.W.A.T, other teams of superhumans, and sometimes even the military. We also have medical teams in case of injury, often with people with superhuman healing powers. Every effort is made to keep you safe. In fact, in the 3- year history of this program, not one person has died, and only a few have been seriously injured. Furthermore, you get paid, and your service will be tax-deductible when you start paying taxes. And besides, this is an opportunity for you to save lives." Everyone had made up their minds at that point. "Okay. Everyone should file in to this bus. Craig addressed Edmond and Karen.[color="#00FF00"]"I guess we should go then." [/color] On the way to wherever they were going on the bus, Edmond discussed physics with Dr. Monaghan, and Craig and Karen just talked to each other. When they got to their destination, a building in the downtown area of Dragon City. The small group went into the building, and eventually got to a room with a large machine, comprised of 4 columns, and a small chamber in the middle. "This Machine will tell us what your powers are." Said Dr. Monaghan. 2 lab technicians nodded in agreement. Craig volunteered to go first. He stepped into the chamber, a technician flipped a switch, and the machine made a humming sound. Then, Craig simply stepped out. [color="#0000FF"]" Did that hurt?"[/color] [color="#00FF00"]"No, but it was shaky."[/color] A lab technician looked at a computer moniter and read that craig had the ability to safely absorb and store kinetic energy, then release it later. Edmond and Karen were the 2nd and 3rd to enter the machine. Edmond Could manipulate Psionic energy, giving him telekinesis and the ability to focus that energy into energy blasts. He was also superhumanly intelligent. Karen could grow up to around 75 feet tall, or shrink others to 1 1/2 inches, and return them or herself to regular size, but she can't shrink herself or make others grow. It was incredible for all three. "Who's next?" Dr. Monaghan inquires to the rest of the group.

[Final Fantasy Revolution]

Charves stepped up to the plate, as he saw no one else was. "Sure, why not tell me what abilities I have." Charves said and started walking to the machine. [i]The same ones you'll be wanting to use for your own gains...[/i] He thought and then walked into the machine, when he stepped out the lab assistant looked over to Charves before speaking. "You have the ability to replicate others powers to the touch and you also possess the ability of Clairsentience which is the ability to tell the history of any object just but touching it." Charves walked down the steps of the machine and smirked. "Any power I went eh?" Charves than started to think of the possible outcomes.

Sarah had to be next, there was no one else stepping up, so it had to have been her turn. Sarah walked up and into the machine and then had the process done to her; however, when she stepped out her results were as normal as can be. "You seem to have the ability to control both light and darkness. Seems like your the lucky winner of two powers!" Then Sarah just started walking back to the group, not getting what she wanted. [i]No...[/i] She thought, raising her left hand and generating light into it than raising her right hand and generating nothing. [i]My powers are powers of light, darkness...darkness is hers...[/i] She thought and than closed her eyes and grabbed her chest with her left hand...

It was John's turn. [i]I wonder what I'll get? I hope it's good![/i] he thought. John stepped into the chamber. The machine started up. John saw a faint glow all around him, and heard a light humming. The process didn't take long, nor did it hurt. It actually felt good. Tingly. John stepped out of small construct. "So, what did I get?" he asked. The assistant paused. He called Dr. Monaghan over. They conversed about something unknown to John. He wanted to know what was wrong. The lab assistant walked over to him. "We're going to need you to walk through the scanner again." he said. John entered and left the machine. "Your power is addaption. You can adapt your body to almost any situation." said Dr. Monaghan. [i]That must be why it didn't work the first time[/i] he thought. John stepped down, watching other students file in and walk out of the machine, each with their own unique abilities.

Assoka walked into the scanner. She was curious as to what power she could possibly possess. She could hardly wat to discover the answer. When she exited the machine, the technician checked up the results. "It seems you are able to teleport yourself an undisclosed distance, and teleport objects to you by the means of portals."
".....Wow"
Assoka liked her power. If she was ever trapped somewhere, she could teleport the keys to the cage to her so she could open it, or, better yet, simply teleport herself away. She had a feeling this power would be very useful.

[color="#FF0000"]Reika entered the scanner next. Due to her tall height she was forced to duck, which wasn't comfortable in the least. Needless to say, she was glad to leave that tiny, cramped space. The technician glanced at the results. "It seems that you have the ability of Clairvoyance, and are able to know where everything is within a certain, unknown radius. You, in times when you are unable to see, activate a second power; A powerful telepathic thrust that attacks all sides. You also have a simple, normal telepathic thrust. It's limits are unknown to this point. Also, you apparently have perfect aim."

That bus ride... Well, at least she had a book to read. It would have been great had she not almost gotten carsick. She still got further in her story. It was at this weird climax. Felicity had read it before, so she knew what was coming. It was some sort of offering, and it was what was going to be offered, or rather, who. Then someone died. That's the way it goes with climaxes. Someone almost always dies before it's all over.

When the bus finally stopped, it was a godsend. Mostly because of the motion sickness that Felicity almost succumbed to. Next was a chamber. More science-fiction- esque stuff. Something about telling you your powers? Oh well, it looked safe enough.

Stepping into the chamber was easy. Waiting around in the chamber was easy. Stepping out of the chamber was easy. Now, there was just listening to a scientist explain what she received.

"You have a basic ability to control one's subconscious. Specifically during dreams, by either forcing them to think they are dreaming, or by implanting an image into their subconscious. Or, you can enter the dream itself and alter it 'phisically'"

What? That almost made sense. But, not wanting to bother the geneticist further than what was already apparent, Felicity gave her thanks and left to where all the other people with their newfound powers were.

Richter was in a positive mood, but not for the same reason everyone else might think. He wasn't thinking about what powers he might get, or, what kind of villan's he'd face. He was just happy that he might be able to make his mother proud of him. Richter sighed and decided to let himself wonder about his possible power while he was on the bus. "I do Hope mine doesn't make me look stupid... my mom would flip..." Richter told himself.


When they got to the building, people seemed to be stepping into a machine and finding out what power they had. By the looks of some of their faces, they got some pretty cool powers. "May I go next?" Richter asked, one of the scientific guys looked at Ricther like Richter had a few screws lose. But, the Scientific guy simply nodded and Richter stepped into the machine. He was only inside for a little bit, but it felt like hours to Richter.


He stepped out thinking he might just make his mother proud, her own son had a super power. He was happy that this day had come. "Well, it appears you can turn yourself into a rock!" Richter's head dropped. "That's it?...Really?... I'm a Rock-head?..." Richter wasn't going to make anyone proud of him at this rate. "No, you can also change your shape at will while you are in that rock-like state." The scientific guy said in a way that sort of made Richter feel a little better.

Kurato Carix slipped silently through the crowd, no one noticed him take their wallets and valuables. Some said he could steal the shirt off your back without you knowing.

He sat down to nibble his chocolate bar and draw in his notebook. "Triing Triing Triing!" 'Hmmmmm, time moves so fast," he thought. He went to his History Class.

"Pffft, glowing blue , yeah right,"he muttered,"What the-."
His hand was shining turquoise."Off to whatever they're doing in the office," he sighed suspicially.

While in the office he drew stuff in his notepad and ignored what everyone was saying completely. Funnily enough no one noticed him at all.

At the terminals he moved down the queue to the front of the line pinching whatever he found that was interesting. When the scientists called him up he asked what this was for and they answered it was to see if any of them had superpowers.'Woah, Superpowers!" he exclaimed.

As he stepped out of the machine another scientist came up to him and explained that he had the powers of Invisibility and the ability to walk through things."So like a ghost," Kurato said in an upbeat tone."Yes like a ghost," came the reply."Also," added the man,"because of your powers the machine was unable to tell if you have more powers or if any of them have reached their true potential."

He shrugged it off turned invisible and followed everyone else.
