----------------

This is my first 1 v 1, I'll probably fail spectacularly, but I won't know unless I try, now, will I?

I've just decided out of thin air that the Requirement is:

Make A New Fusion Monster that fuses together 2 Pre-Existing Vanilla Monsters of Different Types. Just because its material is vanilla, the Fusion monster can have an effect.

Whoever (if anyone) chooses to accept this challenge, please be gentle.

Prize

1 Rep from the Loser

Victory Conditions

First to 4 Votes or 7 days after the cards were posted.

Other Information

-In a Card A - Card B format, so leave all forms of identification off of the card please, leave the circulation, Set ID and Creator slot blank, but if your feeling adventurous you can put a randomized serial number in. :D Also make sure to PM me the card after I've approved you, don't post it here.

-Use the YCM default card Template, for easier/fairer comparison.

-Voters receive +1 Rep, provided they give GOOD reasons as to why they chose the card they did. Votes will be ignored if I decide that they aren't explained sufficiently.

-Judge on all aspects, Name, Picture, Effect, Balance, Playability, OCG, Creativity and anything else you judge by - also consider if the card looks like a fusion product of the 2 monsters used to make it.

- I will provide the card pictures of the fusion material monsters

The Competition

[spoiler=Card A]

Lore: "Flame Viper" + "Firegrass"

Fusion material for this card can also be used from the Deck and Graveyard. When this card is Special Summonned, destroy 1 card on the field, and inflict 500 damage to your opponent. Whilst 'Molten Destruction' is on the field, all effect damage is increased by 500. Pay 1000 life points to treat all battle damage as effect damage until the end phase. If there is a Pyro-Type monster on your side of the field, whenever your opponent declares an attack, you can select one level 4 or lower FIRE attribute card in your deck and Special Summon it in defense mode, negating its effect and treating its original ATK and DEF as 0. Your opponent can then only select the selected card as an attack target until it is destroyed, or until the end phase.

[spoiler=Card B]

Lore: "Oppressed People" + "Amazon Of The Seas"

Your opponent cannot attack when this card is on the field. During each of your Standby Phases, put 1 Escape Counter on this card (Max 3). When this card has 3 Escape Counters, activate 1 of the following effects:

● Increase your Life Points equal to the combined level of WATER monsters on your side of the field x 200, then return this card to your Extra Deck.

● Destroy all WATER monster cards on your side of the field (including this card), inflict Battle Damage to your opponent equal to the combined level of WATER monsters destroyed x 200.

Ok, both cards are up, this forum was determined to stop me from posting them, but it let me eventually.

Anyone viewing this post right now is authenticated to vote!

The annoying thing is that I'm not sure if anyone will vote, because this god dam forum won't let me change the threads name, it just keeps saying "You must enter a post" or something to that effect. <_<

Hmmm, well:

Card A:

Is confusing, not very good OCG, and basically relies on the big Field Spells which is unoriginal and has been done countless times on here. Also the monster has been b lown out of proportion stat wise. 400+700=1100 then +1000, maybe 500 but not 1000.

Card B:

Thousand Eyes restrict was band for a reason, the reason of Lockdown on a mighty scale. This card also has the added effect of Effect damage too. It is very OP'd and is very weak compared to it's fusion materials. Very good in Burn Decks, yet does not capture Burn esscense in the fact that it should be FIRE.

Overall I vote for card B

4 - 1 to Thermatic, his was card B, mine was Card A.

I wish I'd proof read it - was suppossed to be 'Another' pyro type, which ruins the entire argument of 'unstoppable'.

I made it relatively strong - since the fusion cards were both going to be dead draws, particularly as they both would recieve very little attribute support. Also, the followwing are competent of ruining it (This is for Maple):

DNA Surgery

Lightning Vortex

Divine Wrath

Book of Moon

Piercing effect monster

Amongst several others.

Also, @ Hila - It doesn't rely on Molten destruction - one effect does, that's all. And it is statwise fine IMHO. The DEF is dropped to 0, so the combined ATK and DEF are lower overall.

@ tdloe - What OCG errors? Apart from the last section, which was hard to phrase.

Anyway, I've repped thermatic. Now LOCK please.

Good Match

Thanks for challenging me, I would have made it first to 6 or 7 if I knew so many would vote so quick.

I genuinely thought your card had more substance to the effects, it deserved more recognition.

But anyway, @Hila

How'd you mean it was very weak compared to it's fusion materials? Given that one of its material was oppressed people, the idea was that the princess was trapped (oppressed) and unable to fight. And the major different between mine and thousand eyes restrict is that mine dissappears after 3 turns, its sort of like a monster form of swords of revealing light + effect damage/ life point bonus for owner, which for a fusion to be used nowadays, it needs a good effect like that. :D I would agree it is a bit overpowered though, depends how many water monsters you have available to you. Could quite easily get about 16 levels worth up and do 3200 damage (or gain 3200) or in some situations, you might only get 5 or 6 levels worth, plus your opponent does have 3 turns chance to find a way to destroy the card (spells, traps, monster effects) I wouldn't say it was too overpowered, but maybe a tad.

I'll rep you too Dogfish ^ I'm a good sport. :D

I'll change the title to lock, if this blasted forum lets me anyway.

u2, I have given reasons to my vote and have justified them but:

@Dogfish It does rely on Molten Destruction, all effect damage is +500. Almost all of it's effects are based upon effect damage

@Thermatic

Amazon: ATK 1300 DEF 1400

Oppressed People: ATK 400 DEF 2000

Total: ATK 1700 DEF 3400

Your Monster: ATK 0 DEF 0

See what I mean now

Your reasoning was great Hila, but seeing as this finished I just wanted to pick at things that I couldn't when the voting was happening.

:D

I get what you mean, but I didn't realize a fusion card had to be representative of its material monsters ATK and DEF, I'm quite sure that isn't a requirement, anyway..
