TheComposer vs. FTW(For The Wynn) - Again... AGAIN!

Recommended Posts

This time around me and FTW are doing a Card A, Card B voting style.

[spoiler=Requirements]

-Must be a Sea-Serpent type monster

-EDIT: We decided to change the rules a little, so now it's just a monster that can equip to another monster

-Can only equip to opponent's monsters

-Weakens the monster it is equipped to

[spoiler=Prize]1 rep from the loser

[spoiler=When the contest will end]The contest will end when someone gets 3 votes, or 1 week after the cards have been posted, whichever comes first.

[spoiler=Vote count]Card A(FTW(For The Wynn):1

Card B(TheComposer):3

[spoiler=Card A]264408n.jpg

Lore:

When this card is destroyed in battle, equip it to 1 monster your opponent controls. That monster loses 1000 ATK and cannot change battle position nor activate its effect. When this card is destroyed by a Spell or Trap Card effect you can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower WATER Attribute monster from your Deck or Graveyard. That monster cannot attack during your next Battle Phase.

[spoiler=Card B]276354q.jpg

Lore:

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this monster on the field, you can equip it to a face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. When equipped to a monster by this card's effect, that monster is switched to Attack Position and cannot change it's position. That monster also loses 100 ATK/DEF each turn. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. When the monster this card is equipped is destroyed this card is destroyed instead.) When this card is destroyed, you can send 1 monster on your side of the field to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position.

NO VOTING BASED OFF PICTURE OR NAME!!

NOW VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!

Card B can maybe be made into a deck to utilize the loop but I don't see much use in Normal or WATER decks its effect however has very good OCG and some usability

Card A can be used very manipulatively and works well with a Legendary Ocean Deck

I give my vote to Card A

Card B fit's the requirements best in my eyes, being a Union monster with a nice twist by being able to equip it to your opponent's monster instead and the ability to reuse the monster as you see fit. Unfortunately, when equipped, the effect isn't really so impressive. OCG seems...odd...in places.

Card A seems OP'd. Basically anything that removes it to the field activates quite a heavy effect. The first effect would be balanced on it's own, but the Spell/Trap stipulation is overkill. This card has the better OCG and picture though.

While less useful, Card B seems tick pretty much every box other than OCG, whereas Card A is OP'd and lacks balance.

I vote for Card B.

It was a hard choice for me but I choose card B since it can be special summoned multiple times if you have a tribute and card a needs to tributes for a normal summon and has no re-summoning effect

I'm going to go with card B since i believe that the OCG is pretty good and the effect can be useful during any duel against anything. I especially like the last part where it said "sacrifice one monster on your field to summon it to the field in face-up attack" i find that effect very useful.

Anyways, to make a long comment short, my vote goes to B. :)

Well Darkmaster the contest was over but thanks anyway lol :)

@Grand Raine: Well, I feel like reviewing your vote, but no offense taken :)

I asked to make a Sea-Serpent type monster, not a WATER monster. Not all Sea-Serpents have to be WATER, just like all Fiends don't have to be DARK. I see your reason for voting, but I thought I should just point this out :)
