Lexadin
It has been a while since my last card, so I hope this is any good. The pic is a recent addition to my collection and it's from Pixiv. It's main goal is to protect your precious non-Extra Deck Trump card and give it a nice boost while you're doing it. Discard 1 cards. Select 1 Level 10 or higher monster from your Deck. It's Summon cannot be negated or responded to. When you Summon the selected monster, negate the effects of all cards your opponent controls. The selected monster gains 100 ATK and DEF for each effect negated by this card. YOU DO NOT SUMMON THE MONSTER WITH THIS EFFECT, YOU ONLY SELECT IT!!! Rate/Hate/Comment/Fix
Alexis Rhodes
Jesus lex what do you search on pixiv. Good EI support and I think its not OP because you have to wait to summon it. I think you should add "shuffle your deck" after you select it because you know where it is. 9/
Lexadin
Yeah, actually I kinda found it by accident, but the results where good nonetheless. Thanks for your comment.
destruction duel
It's far to OP'd. First off, if your going to discard cards for a LV.10 to LV.12 monster from the, then you have to at least discard your hand. Second off, the gaining attack is to much. Even if you discarded your whole entire hand, it would only account for summoning a LV. 10 to LV.12 monster, not for it gaining attack or negating your opponent's effects. Red Joker
Only discarding two cards for such a powerful card seems a bit. .overpowered. Even cards that attempt to lessen the tribute cost often require life points. (Mausoleum of the Emperor) or hand burn to reduce level (Cost Down). Just discarding two cards to do a deck search and Special Summon it is incredibly powerful. I suggest changing the cost to something more balanced. Possibly something like Against the Wind (Paying LP equal to selected card's ATK)? I would definitely give the card a bigger drawback if the card allows you to directly Special Summon the card from your deck. If it only adds it to your hand and you still have to pay the cost to summon it, then I don't see much of a problem with it. TL;DR: If it's a costly "Reinforcements of the Army", it's fine. If it's an automatic Special Summon via the Deck, nerf that immediately. Oh, and could I get a link for that picture? I want that as my desktop background. :
Lord Smeagle
Guys, it's not a Special Summon or even a search. Look at the way it's worded (when you Summon). Basically, you select the card in your Deck (and show it to your opponent, and then for obvious reasons you'd have to shuffle.) Then, when you get it to your hand and pay its usual summon-cost, or Special Summon it with a different card, THEN you get the epic negation effect. On the other hand, because you had to show your opponent, they're expecting it. So yeah, it makes your already badass beatstick monster pretty hard to kill the first turn it's summoned, but anything your opponent summons afterwards would be unaffected, and if they're smart they're already saving something special for just such an occasion. At least, I think that's how it works. And if so, I think it's quite balanced and most villainous.
Lexadin
@Lord Smeargle: Thanks for getting it. Pehaps I need to add that. And for the rest of you thanks for commenting, but plz readit carefully.
-Griffin
If it negates things for as long as it's face-up: Some Deck will abuse that, the lockdown's just silly. If not: Terribly UP'd and inconsistent.

Lexadin
@-Griffin: Well all the cards on the field remain negated, but your opponent can still activate other cards, that where not on the field. @destruction duel: Yeah, I only make no sence when I want to. Lexadin
@-Griffin: Are you shure? If you use this in a EBI Deck, you'd get a free Summon and a boost. Then Attack yor opponent directly for major damage. @ADHD-Guitar: Thanks for the comment, I think.
-Griffin
'You's get a free Summon and a boost' #1) Losing 3 cards is not 'free' #2) You don't get a Summon Yes, I'm sure, no-one would seriously use this.
Lexadin
Well I see it being used in some of the more underrated Decks, like Sphinxes (the LIGHT ones) and EBI's. The 2 card's is a sacrifice, but when you'll get the monster on the field, you'll be as good as free to do what you want. Seeing as only Honest can get to you then. But 2 cards is a bit pricy, perhaps I shall lower it to 1 card if more people will react on this.
-Griffin
No. Scrap the concept of needing to draw a specific card in your Deck after activating it. It makes it horribly inconsistent because most Decks just aren't that likely to draw the one in, to be kind, thirty cards. It's a -3 with no gain in most situations. In the very, very rare situation you actually Summon it after activating this, then finding enough advantage to Summon something of that level while also being lucky enough to draw it, it turns the game into, "okay, I got amazingly lucky, game 2?" - It isn't even fun when it does work because it just stops all answers so theirs no point to continue the game. High-risk high-reward is pretty much bad card design by default. It takes the thought out of playing by making the game too hard to control. At the very least, also include adding the card to your hand. Even then, it's an insta-win or suffer massive losses, which is just bad card design. If I were to suggest a new effect, it'd be this: "Discard 1 card and add 1 level 10 or higher monster to your hand. That monster's Summon cannot be negated or responded to. When that monster is Summoned, negate the effect of all face-up cards your opponent currently controls while they remain face-up on the field." It turns the -3 into a -1 and gives protection from Warning, Judgement and Bottomless so that investments in tributing/ect aren't wasted while not being massively dependant on luck and only stopping cards your opponent controlled at the time the monster was Summoned, so they still have plenty of chances to activate a counter against it. Of course, the effect might do with some tweaking, but it's much more usable and less sacky than the current version.
Lexadin
Well I'm glad you're so into improving my card, but you must realise that more that halve of the cards that Konami made and is making is completely situational and/or bad. So if a card someone makes is non-Meta or hard to play, just suggest something and let it be. Becuase it remains a childrens card game, and games are for fun. But the effect that it's Summon can't be negated is good, and I might just edit it to have that effect aswell.
-Griffin
I understand if you don't want to spend too long attempting to perfect a card that's unlikely to ever actually be used, but please don't use the logic of, "Konami can't design cards well, so we shouldn't try to." I'd rather accept, "Nah, I'm not going to be too picky about making this actually playable, just playing with ideas" or something.
Lexadin
Yeah that did sound a bit cowardly. So, just like you said, I was just playing with the "selecting from my Deck without Summoning it" idea, and I wanted to use this pic.
