Ieyasu Tokugawa
Well, since skies of arcadia has 0 good and legal fanart, I went to a different idea. Yes, I know the Pactio idea is the same as Assault Mode Activate, but it was all I could think of.

LORE: You can add 1 "Pactio" Card from your Deck to your Hand instead of conducting your normal Draw Phase. If "Pactio!" is activated while this card is on the field, both this monster and the monster summoned by "Pactio!" gain 500 ATK until your opponent's End Phase. LORE: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Magia Erebea". When this card is successfully Summoned, destroy all other cards you control. This card gains an additional attack for each mosnter your opponent controls. If this card battles with another monster, any battle damage is reduced to 0. During the End Phase, destroy this card and Special Summon 1 "Apprentice Mage - Negi Springfield" from your Graveyard. LORE: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by tributing a "Magia Erebia" monster you control. When this monster is Summoned successfully, destroy all face-up cards on the field, except this card. Any battle damage done this turn is halved. During the End Phase, send this card to the Graveyard and Special Summon 1 "Magia Erebia" monster from your Graveyard, ignoring the summoning conditions. Its effect is negated until your next End Phase.

LORE: Tribute 1 "Apprentice Mage - Negi Springfield" and pay 800 Life Points. Then Special Summon 1 monster whose name includes "Magia Erebea" from your Hand or Deck.

LORE: Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field. If this card is tributed by the effect of "Pactio!", you can discard 1 card to have 1 monster on your side of the field gain 500 ATK until the End Phase. LORE: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pactio!". Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to destroy 1 card on the field and have this card gain 500 ATK until the End Phase. When this card gets destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon 1 "Energetic Fighter - Asuna Kagurazaka" from your Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio Activate!" while it is face-up on the field.

LORE: Once per turn, you can select 1 monster on the field and increase your Life Points by the monster's Level x200. The selected monster cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Pactio!", you can send "Pactio!" to the Graveyard instead of returning it to the Deck to gain 1000 Life Points. LORE: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned Except by the effect of "Pactio!" Once per turn, you can select 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Defence Position. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed or be used as Synchro Material or for a Fusion Summon. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, destroy all monsters Special Summoned by this card's effect. When this monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon 1 "Caring Mage - Konoka Konoe" from your Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field.

LORE: This card can attack twice during your Battle Phase when you control a face-up monster with "Konoka Konoe" in its name. When this card is Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!", you can discard 1 card to destroy 1 monster your opponent controls. LORE: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pactio!" This card can attack up to 2 monsters that your opponent controls during your Battle Phase. This card inflicts Piercing Damage when you control a face-up monster with "Konoka Konoe" in its name. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove from play 1 monster from your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Dedicated Protector - Setsuna Sakurazaki" from your Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field.

LORE: Once per turn, you can select 1 random card in your opponent's hand. If that card is a monster, inflict damage equal to the monster's Level x100. When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Pactio!", you can send 1 card from your Deck to your Graveyard. LORE: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pactio!" Once per turn, discard 1 card from your opponent's hand. If it was a monster, inflict damage equal to the monster's level X300. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can reveal your hand to Special Summon 1 "Timid Mage - Miyazaki Nodoka" from your Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field.

LORE: While this card is on the field, both players resume play with their hands revealed. If this card is Tributed by the effect of "Pactio!", you can add 1 monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck or Graveyard to the hand. LORE: While this card is face-up on the field, both players resume play with their hands revealed and their Decks upside down. Once per turn, you can pay 500 Life Points to conceal your hand until your opponents next End Phase. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Intelligent Schoolgirl - Ayase Yue" from your Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field.

LORE: This card can attack twice during your Battle Phase. If you don, the monster Special Summoned Summoned by "Pactio!" cannot attack this turn. LORE: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pactio!" This card cann attack twice during your Battle Phase. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed, it is not. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Stealthy Fighter - Kaede Nagase" from your Graveyard. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pactio!" As long as this card remains face-up on the field, cards you control cannot be targetted by Spells, Traps or Monster effects. If this card is selected as an attack target, you can discard 1 card to change the target to another monster you control. If this monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can send the top card of your Deck to your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Shy Girl - Natsumi Murakami" from your Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field. Ieyasu Tokugawa
looks nice, i like it the effects support each other pretty much so i like that too, but returning things to the Deck is sometimes a hassle from what i experienced xD 8.5/10
The reason for that part is because there are going to be a lot of monsters in this set that require "Pactio!" in order to be special summoned. I figured that would make it better if this were ever made into a deck.
krazyxgamer
i c, i don't really do that with my Touhou cards, just because i make a lot of them lol... but since i make lots of support cards for each of the characters, u can make a deck for that one single char/monster but since that would require major set-up, i made a really broken card that can set you up for the right hand lol... yeah, i would be really impressed if you can make cards that can support each other easily without making it broken

mikeross93
These are actually pretty good. I like you pactio card and the fact that its basically a tribute for the same monster. (Mine i made are basically fusions) I also like how the photos are okay for it. (fail on my part ) Anyway, i think the only problem is the Atk and Def for each one. If you are going to make more (and please do) it would be hard for Evangeline normally to be strong and seem formidable if she also has a card with a chachamaru pactio. Its fine if you plan on making the other strong ones, like evangeline and chao, like 2800 and higher.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
I'm working through all the characters right now. Most of the effects are based off of their abilities in the series with the pactio versions being an upgraded version of the previous card, Asuna being mostly violent, Konoka being the healer and Nodoka's mind reading book. Like I said in your thread, all you need is to crop the pictures to fit. If you haven't noticed, we both have the exact same image for Negi, I just cropped out the words. EDIT: Just realized I had Nodoka made but not posted. That has now been fixed. Also changed Pactio! to special summon from the Deck instead of the Graveyard, made a little more sense with Negi's effect.
Time Psyduck
Actually it's probably easier to fish Pactio from the grave than the deck, but what will make the difference will be support for it - for example Negi searches from the deck, meaning that's currently the most efficient way to get to it. If you added something that fished it from the grave for no cost, that would be a more effective way to search, at least once you've got to the first one. Negi is decent, although at 1000 ATK he seems a little fragile to have to wait until the standby phase to search out a Pactio, and having to discard a card for the effect may be overkill. The second effect isn't likely to be used - it's far easier to revive him than it would be to re-draw and normal summon him again, and if you can't summon the pactio forms from the Graveyard you don't want to lose them from your hand (I'm guessing it's the monsters that are discarded and not the spell). Pactio could probably summon from the Deck, hand and Graveyard. If there are a lot of Pactio monsters in the set, you're going to end up with a lot of dead draws, so the ability to use them as discard fodder and still summon them would make the deck more reliable. It also means you can keep the numbers of each pactio down to 1 (2 for key monsters) and thus fit more in. Also, consider making it a quick-play. Part of what makes /Assault Mode monsters effective is that you can chain Assault Mode Activate to an effect that would get rid of the monster, thus dodging the effect. Asuna's normal form seems well balanced, and effective enough, although it becomes a lot better if the pactio versions can come from the grave, since it's use depends on how much discard fodder you have. The Pactio form seems like a logical upgrade, and also seems balanced. Konoka seems to be an upgraded Healing Wave Generator that stops it's target attacking - only you can hit your opponent's monster and still attack with everything. Maybe if she couldn't attack either, and/or you could only pick your own monsters. For Konoka, however, it's the Pactio form that's the most useful, because it's basically a free Monster Reborn each turn. You can't tribute what you summon (actually, it's unclear, can you tribute for a tribute summon? If so, then it should be 'that monster cannot be tributed for a card effect; if not then it's just 'That monster cannot be tributed'), but you could just send the monster you actually want to the grave to summon it. Also, Synchros (and possibly fusions) don't count as tributes so you can still use them. I'd suggest you limit it to certain levels (such as 4 or below), put them in defence and/or stop them attacking, stop them being used as Synchro/Fusion Material Monsters, or something. Stopping them being tributed does stop the Pactio, so it works for the set, but I can see Konoka as part of an engine for other decks. Setsuna is actually fairly nice - on it's own, it's a 1900 attacker, and it pretty much turns either Konkoa into the same thing. I can't help feeling the Pactio form is lacking compared to Asuna, since Setsuna needs a Konoka for any effect. I think if Setsuna had the edge in ATK it would compensate, and maybe an effect to protect the Konoka that's giving it it's effect. Nodoka is the other side of the splashable engine. It's very fragile, and the burn effect on the base form is pretty much worthless. The Pactio one is a little risky if they have a low hand and yours is large (although it can help scout out things like Gorz), but the power from her comes from when you summon the Pactio form, as you pretty much get a free Foolish Burial out of it. The Pactio form is just as fragile as the original one, so won't stick around, but so long as you have something in your hand you get the first one back. Nodoka's Pactio form doesn't impose the prohibition on using Pactio on the Nodoka it summons when it dies - I'm guessing that's a mistake though. The first part on all of the Pactio monsters should be: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pactio!" As they are, you can still set them, and let your opponent hit them - and with 2500 DEF and only needing a single tribute, Konoka could actually survive. Spoon
I won't comment on the balancing aspect, but overall, I guess it turned out quite well. I wanted to attempt a Negima Deck a while ago, but gave it up due to the lack of decent pictures (especially the Pactio Forms... and don't get me started on the Cosplay Cards, it would've become horrible )... but you actually managed to find some decent pictures (at least for the most famous characters up until now). You catched the aspects of each character, the effects range from basic, but playable (Asuna), to nice and creative (Nodoka) and yeah... sure, the "/Assault Mode idea" may not be the most innovative, but it works here, and why invent the wheel anew if you can work with what's known to work? I really like the cards created up until now and hope you continue the set where I didn't even start it A promising 9/10 from my point of view. It has a nice concept, and if you could make it grow steadily with this quality, I'll make sure to drop in once in a while to comment on single cards So long, Spoon

Hadn't thought of those problems, I'll definately change it Setsuna is actually fairly nice - on it's own, it's a 1900 attacker, and it pretty much turns either Konkoa into the same thing. I can't help feeling the Pactio form is lacking compared to Asuna, since Setsuna needs a Konoka for any effect. I think if Setsuna had the edge in ATK it would compensate, and maybe an effect to protect the Konoka that's giving it it's effect. Hmm, might just add another effect that doesn't require Konoka. I'll have to see about this. 0_o I forgot to change the Pactio's attack and defense . All Pactio monsters should have better stats then the first form, though how much depends. And yeah, I forgot to add that last part. Dangit, I always forget about setting monsters. I'll fix it soon.

I much prefer the original to Negima Neo, so i don't have any plans for the cosplay cards. It may be a future project, I'll see where it goes. You catched the aspects of each character, the effects range from basic, but playable (Asuna), to nice and creative (Nodoka) and yeah... sure, the "/Assault Mode idea" may not be the most innovative, but it works here, and why invent the wheel anew if you can work with what's known to work? I really like the cards created up until now and hope you continue the set where I didn't even start it Thank goodness, I was worried that the Assault Mode copying would have gotten me bad reviews. It's funny, cuz i actually had the Pactio card named "Pactio Activate!", then I realized the similarities... A promising 9/10 from my point of view. It has a nice concept, and if you could make it grow steadily with this quality, I'll make sure to drop in once in a while to comment on single cards So long, Spoon
Thanks for the reviews, I'll work on the current cards, and I've actually got some spell supports in the makings. Time Psyduck
My first paragraph was actually about Pactio! going back to the deck - you mentioned before that you did so because of the number of pactio monsters. The problem is with all those monsters that you don't want to be drawing into too often (except maybe when you have Asuna out), you don't really want to have to rely on drawing the Pactio again. I thought Negi searched out the spell card - since it's only a "Pactio" card, rather than monster, "Pactio!" would qualify, so it actually can. Where Pactio! should go after use depends on where it can be recovered from easiest, which in turn on what support you give it. The other changes look nice as well - Setsuna is a viable choice in herself, whilst Konoka isn't quite the one-girl swarm engine she was, and they all seem fairly balanced. Ieyasu Tokugawa
Right now I'm thinking of giving Negi the "add a "Pactio" card instead of conduction the draw phase" effect, but I cant think of anything else to go with it. mikeross93
Well, i think you should increase his atk and def just a bit (Negis). HE may be a kid, but he's a strong kid.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Well, i think you should increase his atk and def just a bit (Negis). HE may be a kid, but he's a strong kid.
Yeah, that's in the change too, just haven't posted the card. I'm not going too hight, though, cuz I plan to make his transformations from the orignal manga in the future.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Added in two more spells and adjusted my layout. [s]Still figuring out Negi's new effect, got a few ideas to sort through.[/s] Just put in a new card for Negi, tell me what you think.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Just added Yue(my favorite character!) and Kaede, probably the strongest Pactio monster yet. I'm worried about Kaede's power, so feel free to make changes. Also want to try something else for Yue, but the only good one I could find had no background, and I'm also not sure if panty shots are allowed here... krazyxgamer
minor OCG stuff: the new spell card that you made: "Special Summon 1 "Pactio" monster from your Hand or Graveyard, ignoring the Summoning Conditions. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot attack and its effect(s) are negated. Destroy the monster during the End Phase." card is not capitalized unless it's used in terms like Spell Cards Trap Card Monster Card Effect Graveyard is usually capitalized same with anything that has Tribute in the word gonna fix some stuff starting with Pactio Asuna: "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio Activate!" while it is face-up on the field." "Once per turn, you can select 1 monster on the field and increase your Life Points by the monster's Level x200. The selected monster cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Pactio!", you can send "Pactio!" to the Graveyard instead of returning it to the Deck to gain 1000 Life Points." that one, idk how to word the last part but i think that would be it, since it's not like Pactio's deck returning effect activates when it's sent to the Graveyard "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field." "This card can attack twice during your Battle Phase when you control a face-up monster with "Konoka Konoe" in its name. When this card is Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!", you can discard 1 card to destroy 1 monster your opponent controls." nice effect, pretty good card the stats are pretty high too "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field." yeah Piercing Damage isn't really a wrong OCG, it's just not used as much, but it makes the effect shorter, which should make it a bit more legible to read "Once per turn, you can look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand. If that card is a monster, inflict damage equal to the monster's Level x100. When this card is Tributed by the effect of "Pactio!", you can send 1 card from your Deck to your Graveyard." pretty cool card "This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pactio!" Once per turn, you can look at your opponent's hand. If there are any monsters, inflict damage equal to the number of monsters x500. If there aren't any monsters, you take damage equal to the number of cards in your hand x500. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can reveal your hand to Special Summon 1 "Timid Mage - Miyazaki Nodoka" from your Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field." meh, it's an ok card at best i think u should've made it like Testhalos's (idk how to spell his name) effect something like "Once per turn you can discard 1 card from your opponent's hand. If that card is a monster inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's Level x200." or something like that lol but it's alrightjust fyi, u have the 2 same cards in there twice for both the 2 new chars
Ieyasu Tokugawa
hey, has anyone else had problems with the cardmaker lately? I just had to replace Asuna and Botched Pactio way too many times because it kept posting Kaede. Anyway, fixed the ocg errors (though I hate saying piercing damage since I haven't seen any real cards that say it.), but I put Nodoka's effect like that because she was able to use her powers to read minds, though now that I made Yue's what I did, I might change it up a little. krazyxgamer
Cyberdark Horn uses Piercing Damage i know not a lot of cards do, but it's correct, so it's good for shortening things up i know why you made it like that, but u gotta think of balance issues too, it's rly great that u try to relate to it, since Pop Culture is all about that, but yeah, but it's fine, since this isn't the Realistic Cards section, u don't have to think THAT hard on balance issues unless it's way too overpowered or something lol keep up the good workalriight, more OCG and other stuff: starting with Yue: Both players must reveal their respective hand while this card remains face-up on the field. If this card is Tributed by the effect of "Pactio!", you can add 1 monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Search effect is always nice, likin this one Both players must reveal their respective hand and have their Deck upside down while this card remains face-up on the field. Once per turn you can pay 500 Life Points to conceal your hand until your opponent's next End Phase. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Intelligent Schoolgirl - Ayase Yue" from your Graveyard. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field. idk.... i think u should just make it so only your opponent has to reveal their hand, but it's all your choice This card can attack twice during your Battle Phase. If this card is Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!", you can remove from play 1 monster your opponent controls. If you don't, the monster Special Summoned Summoned by "Pactio!" cannot attack this turn. lower the ATK to 1500 1700 that can ATK twice is pretty broken, i WOULD say drop it to like 1300, but idk lol and it's like you HAVE to remove from play a monster that they control or it's a disadvantage lol, kinda weird This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. The monster Special Summoned this way cannot be Tributed for the effect of "Pactio!" while it is face-up on the field. again, drop the ATK a bit OCG is perfectly fine in this one just noticed for Pactio!, should change the effect to something like this: Tribute 1 face-up monster on the field and pay Life Points equal to the monster's level x100. Then, Special Summon 1 "Pactio" monster from your hand, Deck or Graveyard with the Tributed monster's name in its description. After activation, return this card to the Deck instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
