Alrighty then.

Usual YCM rules apply.

The challenge was:

Make and Equip Spell (or Trap) that can only be equipped to one specific monster.

ex. Bubble Blaster

First to what, 5 votes wins?

PRIZE: Pride and a rep from the loser

Voters, please be detailed in giving reasons.
Destron's Card]

102517.jpg

This card can only be equipped to a "Blue Eyes White Dragon" in Attack Position. A monster equipped with this card cannot attack. During your opponent's End Phase, if the total ATK of monsters on your side of the field is over 3000, destroy this card. Once per turn during your Battle Phase, increase an equipped monster's ATK by an amount equal to the total ATK of all other Dragon-Type monsters on your side of the field until the end of the Battle Phase. Then you can destroy 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field with an ATK lower than half of an equipped monster's ATK.
Matt's Card]

This card can only be equipped to 'Black Luster Soldier'. When the equipped monster attacks a Defence Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can pay half your Life Points to destroy 1 Monster on the field, and inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to that monsters ATK.

Aight, go nuts.

Destron.

Matt's card is too... bland. The second part is a bit much, in both the cost and the effect. You can discard it to activate it. The only thing going for it is the extremely ridiculous cost, which can be abused or be a pain, depending on timing.

I vote for Matt because destron's card is far too situational and UP'd to be worth it. You're going to lose a relatively powerful monster by destroying a weaker face-up monster. Plus, in order for it to be powerful you need to have several other dragon's on the field. If that's the case, I would be further ahead to just attacking those monsters and never play this card. It needs more benefits or less restrictions to be useful.

I vote for Matt, destron's card just only last one turn if you want to activate it's effect 'cause then it will be destroyed

in the oppoent's end phase for having more monster on your side of the field, i think it doesn't looks like an Equip card,

it looks more like a normal spell.

Just popped in after work. Nice card Destron. 5 votes is fine, however you need to put a prize up. Whatever works for you.

You can discard it to activate it.

Blimey, you're right, I'll have to change that bit. Can't edit it during the contest but will do so for later use. On the OPd front, if it is overpowered (which it probably is), please bear in mind that this card is based on one of the most powerful weapons in human legend. So it's understandable (though not excused obviously) if I overcooked this one in trying to live up to it's legend. :)

More votes please.

The prize needs to be stated in the first post >>...

Both cards seem fine. I'm leaning more to the Black Luster Soldier support though. It feels more like a natural Equip Spell to me.

BEWD's Equip Spell really just prevents you from being able to use BEWD, so you're only really using the card for the final effect.

I'd vote for Matt's card. Destron's card just feels a bit meh.

Whoa whoa whoa, the way you've worded that - and it may just be because of the way you've worded it - makes you sound like you've voted for Blue Eyes over Black Luster Soldier as cards, rather than on these two we've made.

If that's the case this vote isn't counting. Please just re-word your post so it's a bit clearer.
