Kai thought to himself, his vanilla poncho continued covering his left arm, truth be told he hadn't actually told that many people about it, mainly he wanted to just keep it to himself. Kai put his big buster sword in the slot fit for it around his back. Kai followed Edward walking down the stairs he noticed his duel weapons, Kai was never really a fan of using two swords, ever since he was young, he was given that sword, he cherished it with his life. He then sent the bike tearing down the street, but not without first producing a very loud squeal from the rear tire spinning against the pavement and burning a little of the rubber. They shot along at easily eighty miles per hour, and fortunately they were on a relatively straight road with little traffic. "I've got no idea where I'm going, but I'm assuming that the Vasgal Field is that massive empty space you can see west of the city. So, that's where we're headed!" Edward smiled widely and leaned into the bike, partly to improve aerodynamics and partly to keep his face out of the high-speed wind. The motorcycle had a communicator on it which the VP was undoubtedly aware of and could use to contact Edward if he felt the need to. In the mean time, the vehicle was tearing down the street at a break-neck pace and, if the Vasgal Field was where he thought it was, he and Kai would reach it in a short time. Ghoulish Posted October 11, 2010 Report Share Posted October 11, 2010 Upon Kai hearing the laughter he expected the reply to be "Of course I know where I'm going" Kai sighed a comical sigh when it was heard that he didn't know, Kai's vanilla poncho blew in the wind revealing his robotic like left arm, he quickly grabbed the clothing that wrapped around his neck and hid the arm. "Darn it." He thought to himself as he then faced forward. "An open field?" kai questioned as he then began thinking again. "Good that allows for judgement to cause a wide area of damage with possibly no casualties. "Well then do you know what we're looking for in this field, it seemed important." Thankfully no one was driving in front of them or seeing would have been impossible. He shook his head slightly as Kai asked him what they were looking for. "Same as where the field itself is, I have no idea. Once we see something that looks important we'll go and check it out." He began to scan the horizon as they rapidly left the city behind, looking for anything that might be what they were supposed to be looking for. Truth be told, he was just glad to be back on his bike and feeling the wind rushing past as he and Kai tore across the field, leaving a large dust trail in their wake. For some reason he couldn't quite figure out, he was starting to feel a bit like something was going to attack soon. In preparation for this, he brought his left hand off of the handlebar and drew one of his chain swords, revving it as the sound was just audible over the bike's thunderous engine. Ben asked slowly, he always talked like as if he was startled. Rubbing his hands on the arms of his black jacket, his hood was up. Ben's cold whie hair looked settled on his pale skin. His eyes didn't show emotion, he always looked like he was lost. "W-where is the dessert?" He asked, stuttering again. Talking wasn't one of Ben's strengths. "You feel it to huh, we're getting off to easy here, something should come out." Kai was very good at detecting danger a part of him was able to sense an energy coming in towards them, noticably under his vanilla poncho his left arm was glowing blue. Kai looked down at the arm under the vanilla colourse clothing then looked back up. "No doubt let's be on our guard, anywhere outside the city will lead to some kind of danger." Kapo unscheathed his dagger and his gun for a test of sorts for the boy named Ben. "Which one is more powerful," Kapo asked not betraying anything with his nonchalant expression. "Which. Is. More. Powerful?" Kapo asked, just incase the boy couldn't hear him. [i]I wish I could have gone with the others who went with the first batch of clones, their jobs were actually fun,[/i] Kapo thought sighing at the thought of searching instead of killing creatures. Kapo swished his black feline tail around with a bored look on his face, waiting for an answer from the VP or his 'partner' Benjamin. Ben's eyes fell to the dagger. Ripping the dagger from Kapo's hands. "At this range, maybe this weapon." Looking directly into Kapo's eyes, the cold calmness was also shown in his eyes. "But I would prefer to use one of these." Ben said, throwing his other hand down to his hip, pulling up a pistol with twin barrels. Pointing his favorite weapon away from Kapo, he made a demonstation. "Bang!" He said, pointing the barrel up then down. Ben's lips didnt show any expresion as he spoke. Asriel Dreemurr Posted October 11, 2010 Report Share Posted October 11, 2010 Edward was still quite anxious and was just starting to calm down when three strange beasts that looked something like dogs with no fur and blackened decayed flesh rushed up alongside the bike. The flesh on all three of their heads seemed to have completely rotted away, leaving behind only the bone-white skull beneath. Their eye sockets glowed a strange bright green, as if filled with some sort of bizarre fire. One of them, the largest of the three, made it's approach to the bike and tried to snap at Edward's leg. His immediate response was to bring the Chain Sword down in an arc that sent the tearing weapon deep into the beast's neck. The creature was stunned for a moment and it fell behind, but quickly shook itself off and began rushing back up towards the Bike. Edward readied himself as another of the creatures leaped into the air, coming in from the left. He was prepared to send his Chain Sword sailing cleanly through it, but didn't notice the third of them moving to strike from the right, attempting to bite out the bike's rear tire. ((sorry if I upset anyone by bringing the creatures in, but without FFR online someone has to or the last couple of posts are meaningless.)) Ghoulish Posted October 11, 2010 Report Share Posted October 11, 2010 Kai watched the 3 decayed beasts movements he noticed the 3rd beast motioning to bite the rear tire, Kai quickly drew out Judgement and slashed at the wild beast, the blade the beasts neck and slashed up causing it to fall on its side and skid slightly along the ground. Noticabely the beast continued to try to run, its head was half off and half connected and yet it didn't remain on the floor. "What are these things?" kai asked himself as he then pointed judgement backwards facing the struggling beast, suddenly a ball of ice rapidly was created and released from the tip of judgement, it soared and hit the beast causing it to freeze into a block of ice, a second later is smashed into 100's of pieces. Surprisingly, as the beast was cut and slain it exploded into a cloud of black dust which the bike shot out of quickly. The first of the three was still gaining on them, and it was quite obviously pissed off. "Some sort of undead dog...it's a tad disturbing to find 'em here huh?" The next thing Edward did could have been called reckless and stupid, if you were being mild. He swung the bike around sideways, tightening on the brakes to stop the spinning of the wheels. It decelerated quickly and the dog gained on them much more quickly. Then, just as the creature was about to collide with them, Edward leapt into the air off the side of the bike and drew the remaining Chain Sword in his right hand. He revved both of them, sending the chains whirling about on their tracks at an incredible rate. In mid-air he forced himself into a spin, bringing his blades repeatedly around to bear at the ground. The dog creature was torn apart by the weapons and dispersed in a cloud of dust, which Edward landed in. He coughed loudly, having inhaled a bit of the dust, as he made his way back to the bike and a very likely shaken Kai. He returned his weapons to their blade upon his back and smiled widely, bringing the bike back up into it's proper position. Surprisingly it was undamaged. He chuckled loudly as he revved the engine again, making ready to continue off on their search. "By the way, if you want a nickname for me...call me sully." Vincent said and then tossed them keys. "That's the keys to the sand buggy, use it to go through the dessert fast so you can find the Oasis. The dessert is located North of the city." Vincent said and then turned to look out the window. He had not a care for the two that already left. ~~~ "Yeah, what kind of food do you like Chrome?" Timothy said and then opened the door to the room. "There's a cool pizza joint down the street but the Chinese food is my favorite in this city." Timothy suggested and then walked out of the room while rambling about different restaurants and food they could go to and try. ~~~ Suddenly lightning bolts disintegrated anything that was left of the beasts, if one looked up to the sky they'd see not a cloud in sight. However, if one looked right in front of them they'd see a huge black spike like building that was smoking cause it just shot a bolt of lightning or two. There was a sign out front that said welcome to Lightning Spire.... ~~~ "Umbriel!" Marcus said, unstrapping the bed and checking if she had a fever for little to no reason. "You past out in that fight with the giant serpent and hurt your leg up pretty bad. We're trying to get you to Dr. Marson as quick as possible right now though." Marcus said and than looked at her leg and back at her. "Is everything alright?" He said to her. ~~~ Earl and (presumably) Nathaniel had run out to see a giant black dragon flapping it's wings in front of them. "Oh dang!" Earl said then turned a device on in his ear, like he was about to talk to someone. "Natalie, I need an analysis on this thing!" Natalie was Earl's onboard computer that did all the calculations of the ship that Earl couldn't, or didn't, want to do. "The beasts name is Bahamut, all other information is unknown." A female sounding voice said from the speakers of the ship. "Alright youngin, seems like we in fer a throwdown taday!" Earl said and then walked over to a cabinet that was on the deck and pulled out a Javelin and then walked back over to Nathaniel. "Ya ready youngin cause here it comes; I'll have Natalie start defensive procedures but she won't be able to do anything fer awhile!" Ghoulish Posted October 11, 2010 Report Share Posted October 11, 2010 Kai was not shaken by anything that had just happened in the slightest, he had ridden motorbikes before and was quite fond of performing the same actions that took place just now, in fact he'd perform them on regular occasions to master them fully and be able to make quick get aways or turn corners quickly. Kai allowed Edward to finish off the last beast as he put judgement away in the slot on his back. Kai looked forward and remembered the creatures, "there are so many tings liek those out here." he thought to himself. "Where did they all come from." Squall?[/i] Evan thought to himself. If that was the [b]real[/b] Squall, he prefered Feral, bigtime. Finally he walked towards Feral, and said, "Listen, we're pretty much done in here. I'm most of the pests were preyed upon by those dragons. Let's head back to headquarters." Evan began walking back, and opened his phone. He, discretely, sent a text message. Final Fantasy Revolution Posted October 12, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 12, 2010 The Lightning Spire was flashing all sorts of blueish colors as if trying to gather Kai and Edwards attention... ~~~ Marcus heard what she said and when the chopper landed everyone got off of it and it was of again, probably to help some other Supplex members. "Alright, you survivors can go down to the lobby, there's people there who are going to help you with your new houses and jobs and lives and what not." After they all dispersed Marcus turned towards Umbriel and looked at her seriously. "What is it?" He said and then waited for a response. ~~~ The floor below Evan and Feral was getting increasingly warmer as they went, in fact, if one of them were to look down they'd see cracks of red coming up from the floor. Suddenly Evan and Feral were pushed back and further into the caverns by a force erupting from the ground. It was a fiery beast with horns and with it came tons of hellfire ready to burn the flesh of their bones... ooc: everyone will be fighting a summon at one point or another, Evan and Feral have Ifrit. Kai read a sign that they passed that read on it. "Welcome to Lightning Spire..." Kai looked back at the passed sign then forward at the structure they were approaching. "what's the Lightning spire, i've never heard of it be4?" kai questioned, although Edward's answers are never really that helpful he thought he'd ask again anyway. Since the roof was pretty much devoid of life since the helicopter took off, she began talking. "Lately, I've been having these visions of some girl named Terra. At first, I thought I was daydreaming, but then they started coming more often and more vividly. While we were fighting the other serpent, I turned into this... furry... [i]thing[/i]! I couldn't control myself. After that, I had another vision, where I actually talked to Terra. This... this is freaking me out." Umbriel, no matter how hard she tried, could not keep her composure, but quickly reclaimed it. She was suddenly reminded of the fact that she was sitting on a medical stretcher. Feral was blown back by an unkown force, "Ahh!" He yelled as he hit the ground only to see a large horned demon above him, "Is that, what is-" suddenly, Feral had another vision, his body became motionless again. Feral found himself in a battle with the demon, launching a Fira spell. Feral's body jumped out of the way and landed on the wall, his eyes glowing red. Feral then slowly looked up at the Ifrit and stood up straight, his body perpendicular to the wall, "All shall know my name, the Eye of Judgement." he said in a very deep voice. Ifrit launched a Fire spell, but Evan dodged in time. Evan slashed at the beast with his lance, but was knocked back by the Eidolon's brute strength. Evan got back up, and looked to his partner, who was in some kinda of trance. When Feral yelld his line, Evan thought [i]This can't be Squall...[/i] Evan was caught off guard with a Flare. Final Fantasy Revolution Posted October 12, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 12, 2010 The Fira spell seemed to just be absorbed into Ifrit's body, almost seeming to power him up; using a fire spell seems kinda silly to use on a beast that controls fire. Ifrit charged a ball of fire and energy with his mouth than stepped away from the sphere and punched it with great force; launching the ball straight at Feral, the blast was to cause a huge explosion regardless if it hit the target or not... ~~~ "I see...sounds pretty spooky to me." Marcus said, helping Umbriel down and off the copter. "I think we should take you to the Doc right now Umbriel; to get that leg looked at and all." Marcus said, and then picked Umbriel up and walked to the elevator and let her lay inside while pushing the button to go to Dr. Marson's lab. IC: Feral gave a glare as Evan charged at the beast, he then began to walk up the wall and on the cieling, fire was then blasted at him, Feral was hit hard, hell he was on fire but he was walking on the cieling still, like he was never damaged until he was right over the creatrue and he yelled, "Blizzaja!" and lifted his Revolver blade and shot the spell at the Ifrit, knocking him over, but the infrit got right back up and it was pissed. Feral's conciousness was in the mists of a heated battle with an Ifrit, but wasn't controlling the movements! Something was seriously up, so he decided to figure it out. He used Invis on himself so the beast and his 'partner' continued the fight. He ran into the darkness and spoke softly into his device. "Doctor Marson? Something's wrong with Feral..." Umbriel blushed slightly as Marcus lifter her up and layed her in the elevator. Something pinched her hip. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the broken metal band from the battle with the two serpents. She remembered seeing it on Terra in some of her visions. "Something wrong with Feral you say, what seems to be the trouble my boy?" Dr. Marson said to Even and then waited for a reply. It was at this time that Umbriel and Marcus showed up at the doctors lab, Marcus picked her up again and placed her on a table meant for patients. "Dr Mars..." Marcus began to say but was shushed by the good doctor cause he was in the middle of a phone call. "Well, well. Marcus, is it, I notice that this upcoming Friday will be your tenth year with Supplex. " A man in a fresh white suit with a white suit hat on over his head and draped over his eyes said to Marcus. "First Vice President Sir, uh, how are you?" Marcus said; it was routine for someone to speak with dull old Vincent Krieger, but when Matthew Supplex came to visit it was a different story entirely. Even the highest Supplex members have never seen him more than once... ~~~ Ifrit shook out of the eyes and slammed his hand into Feral, launching him towards the wall of the cavern. Ifrit roared and cried out as if it was terribly angry at the two of them. It charged duel fireballs on each of it's hands, he was getting ready for his best move; Hellfire. MortalKombatSmoke Posted October 12, 2010 Report Share Posted October 12, 2010 Feral quickly jumped behind the Ifrit as the beast began to slash at him, Feral took the hits as if they were nothing and then yelled aloud, "SNOWSTORM!" suddenly a huge blizzard rized as if from nowhere and blew the beast's fire attacks clean away, it did massive dammage, "Blizaja!" Feral yelled again, his eyes still glowing a blood red color as he launched another spell at the monster. Feral's conciousness was still in the dream, someone then yelled out a name "Squall!" That name... why... did it sound so familiar? OOC: If you think this is godmodding, don't call it till after Feral gets control of his body again. Just trust me. Kai and Edward seemed to be getting miuch closer to the giant black tower known as the lightning spire, with each metre closer one could really appreciate its size and stature, it was huge, one of the biggest buildings Kai had ever seen. "Why did we come here, was this the VP's plan? To come to this lightning spire? What is it here for? I have so many questions, i guess they'll have to be answered when we get closer. Kai didn't often like to just diove into area he liked to no wheere he was going before going there. This would be totally different to his normal style of travelling. His vanilla poncho remained over his robotic arm that now glowed. Kai looked down with slight caution, "somethings here, soemthing big, i can definately feel its presence."
