Bahamut - Envoy of the End
You know the drill people. First person to post me with an interesting and challenging er... challenge, gets to be my opponent. Winner gets 1 rep and 30 points. Oh and if you have any ideas on how to get people to actually vote it would be appreciated. In the other 1on's I've been in I've had to end one early due to lack of votes and the other has been running for ages without votes. It's me against Spoon. Requirement is simple - make a non-Zombie type with 'Death' in it's name (it's not that easy to shoehorn Death into a card name as you may think btw). Whoever has the most votes this time next week wins. [spoiler=Matt Bahamut - Blazing Death Horseman] Lore: The Attribute of this card is also treated as DARK. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points, your opponent picks up cards from their Deck until they draw a Monster Card with 1000 or less ATK. Send that card to the Graveyard (all other cards drawn by this effect are returned to the Deck in the same order). When this card is destroyed in battle and sent to the Graveyard, roll a six-sided dice. If the result is 6, destroy all Monsters on the field. [spoiler=Spoon - Death's Cruel Daughter] Lore: Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 monster in your opponents Graveyard. If there are none, remove from play 1 face-up monster your opponent controls instead. If your opponent controls no face-up monsters, select and remove from play monsters in your opponents Deck up to the number of monsters in your Graveyard instead. If there are no monsters in your opponents Deck before you use that effect, inflict 4000 damage to your opponent instead.
Spoon
Well then, let me give it a try :) Card requirements:Make an Effect Monster Card with "Death" in it's name, that is not a Zombie-Type monster. That's all. How does that sound? So long, Spoon PS, about your question: I have no idea :( Sometimes you get lucky like me and get 4 votes in a single day, and sometimes you get none in 4 days in a row... I don't know what it is, sorry :/
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
I suspected you would be the one to answer the call. Challenge accepted, will get right on it. One observation I've made is people tend to vote for obvious winners, they don't like voting when it's a close contest (that's just my opinion, and I admit I've shirked 1 or 2 toughies). Shall we do a most votes within set time wins then?

Shall we do a most votes within set time wins then? Would say so... but it should at least be a total of 3 votes casted when that date comes. If less, we can just call it a draw ;) Here's my card (ha, I never go out unprepared  ): Lore:Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 monster in your opponents Graveyard. If there are none, remove from play 1 face-up monster your opponent controls instead. If your opponent controls no face-up monsters, select and remove from play monsters in your opponents Deck up to the number of monsters in your Graveyard instead. Bahamut - Envoy of the End
This took a long time to make, hope everyone likes it. Blazing Death Horseman Lore: The Attribute of this card is also treated as DARK. This card symbolises how death comes for two groups; the weak and the misfortunate. This is what I'm thinking, open the contest for 1 week (closing Midnight GMT on Friday 1st October), most votes at this time wins and if we are level - or neither of us recieves a minimum of three votes - it's a draw. Obviously voters must post their good reason (maybe people find that off-putting, but hey we need to know these things). Is this system, and for that matter the prize, acceptable to you? Obviously voters must post their good reason (maybe people find that off-putting, but hey we need to know these things). Is this system, and for that matter the prize, acceptable to you? Yeah, sure ;) And that card looks really promising, could be a close call this time :) Maybe I should add one thing to my card because after reading through it once more, it doesn't seem obvious enough (but I can't really word it correctly, sorry for that): The effect is treated as one effect, and everytime a condition is not fulfilled, it jumps to the next one: If there are no monsters to remove from the Graveyard, they are taken from the field. If there are none on the field either, only then the next effect kicks in. And if that can't be done, it inflicts 4000 damage... I just wanted to clarify that. Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Cool stuff, I found it really clear but if you want to edit that's fine. Just realised we both made 5 Star Monsters with 1900 ATK :D swear I didn't copy just random coincidence. Contest is open, votes please.

And yeah, I noticed that as well... but since the effects aren't similar at all, who cares

Bahamut - Envoy of the End
1-0 spoon, thank you For development and improvement purposes, might I ask which part of my card is overpowered, the attribute effect, the deck destruction effect, or the dice effect? StealthyTyranitar
they both have mistakes in them but i have to go with matts. it has a better pic and better effect
Smesh
they both have mistakes in them but i have to go with matts. it has a better pic and better effect Lets see you point out those errors. And NEVER vote on pic. Both cards have disadvantages and uses, but i go with Matt. Spoon's wouldn't last on the field long enough to do any real damage. Bahamut - Envoy of the End
We'll make this 1-1 until Ultima gives a bit more detailed explaination. [Although it is a cool pic]. Remember people this contest will finish a draw if neither of us gets 3 votes by midnight GMT Friday.
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
2nd Ka-Bump. Remember as it stands this will finish a draw, unless 1 of us gets to at least three votes in the next 36 hours or so. If you think 1 card deserves to win, you gotta vote (and give good reason). Bahamut - Envoy of the End
3rd and final Ka-Bump. Just noticed Scrapper voted in the poll but hasn't posted reasons, so his vote hasn't counted either. Spoon, in the likely event of a draw, re-match? Ieyasu Tokugawa
I'm going matt. I don't think it's OP'd, where with spoon's you get to remove 1 monster per turn with no real drawbacks except a below average attack stat.
RedRuler
Both cards are really good, but i vote for Spoon, his card has a more original effect than Matt's card. But i still believe that the two are great cards.

Spoon, in the likely event of a draw, re-match? Yeah, why not, but now the votes are flowing... eh... I currently have no clue about the standings, help me out  I'm going matt. I don't think it's OP'd, where with spoon's you get to remove 1 monster per turn with no real drawbacks except a below average attack stat. You remove from play 1 card from your opponents Graveyard (in the normal case that is)... that's a huge difference, and normally not that much of an advantage. Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Well I haven't counted Scrapper (no explaination) and Ultima (little explaination) votes so I believe we officially stand at 2-2. Not going to put a poll in future it's just confusing.

Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Just got back. Okay, next person to post a vote with a good explaination (and as a deciding vote, I mean I want a good reason, either way) decides the winner. Who will shoulder this awesome responsibility...? Best of luck anyway, it's been good and close this one.
Spoon
*bump* Just... one... vote. If it has a good reason, I'm even willing to give a +Rep, so do it already!
Admiral_Stalfos19
Alright I'll vote And the winner is... Matt Bahamut Spoon: Your guy pretty much has 4 effects crammed into one. Wouldn't be so bad if they all were only so-so, but only one of them is. The others are a bit too strong: the 3rd one going overboard. So yeah, Matt wins. EDIT: W00T, 2 stars. I gotta celebrate this somehow... Can I still host a 1on1 at anytime or do I still need 150 posts? Newb question, I know, but the rules didn't say anything about it, so I thought I'd ask.
