Old Intro: OK the idea is that you enter the stadium using your avatar's power Ex. I'm a werewolf, I rip you in half, also you must tell me what team your on, green or orange. You must also post who you are directing the attack to.

New intro: We've created this new thread because the change from MyBB to IPboard caused the elimination of the title changing function. (Which may not seem like much but is needed none the less.) This remake was issued shortly after we hit 100 pages of posts in the old thread, with many of the older members who used to frequent this thread either banned or gone this 100 page goal will be harder than ever but obtainable none the less. And thus begins The avatar arena's rebirth, I bring you V.2.0.

P.S. I'd Like to thank Lexadin who helped Co-lead this thread and Byakuya Kuchiki who is Lexadin's replacement for the time being. (Aka. The school year.) I would also like to thank all of the other members who assisted in this remake, supplying fresh new ideas day by day.

[spoiler=Ability Classifications]

This a whole new idea that will make this thread a lot more complex but will enable other features that will be for the better in the long run.

[b]Physical[/b]-These attacks/powers rely on the user to get close to the opponent and deliver a strong attack/attacks. While the may be the most vulnerable they also are powerful and pack a punch.
(Ex. A fighter relies on up close attacks and if you had this power you would be a physical user.)

[b]Range/artillery[/b]-These attacks are best used from far away. While the may not be good at hand to hand combat range users can deal damage from far away, while not as powerful as physical fighters they leave less vulnerable spots. (Ex. If you used a bow and arrow you would be a range user.)

[b]Elemental[/b]

There are spoilers included within this class because of the wide variety of elemental powers. To start, you know you use elemental powers If you mainly control fire,water,wind,earth,ice,lightning,dark,or light powers. These attacks can be ranged or physical, although not as powerful in terms of attack or evasiveness, they can counter with moves corresponding to their element, thus having one of the larger move pools, they also can have natural side effects as burning or freezing. (Ex. A person who could control sand is considered an elemental type user or an experimentalist. Note: Increasing velocity, power,speed etc. To set a body part on fire or to add an element to it due to the environment does not count as an elemental attack. Ex. If you kicked so fast your foot was on fire it is still physical not elemental.

Earth attacks focus mainly on defensive play and the occasional giant flying rock. They can make earthly barriers as well as earthquakes. (in some cases.) But over all it's hard to pierce their rock solid Defence

[spoiler=Fire]

Fire users want to burn through their competition with their fiery arsenal, mainly using ranged attacks (such as throwing fireballs.) they are a tough offensive force and hard to beat.

[spoiler=Water]

Water lacks offence and defence, but they replace that with stamina, water users by far take the longest battles, sometimes losing, sometimes winning, blasting opponents with powerful water jets may not be the most efficient in terms of attack, and weaker water walls that can easily be pierced may not be the best option in terms of defence, their will to keep batting ultimately wins them the battle.

[spoiler=Wind]

Wind is all about speed, moving so quickly your opponent can't take proper aim, while lacking defence and high offence they can still attack and repel with quick hard gusts of wind, it may take longer, but it gets the job done.

[spoiler=Ice]

Ice mixes fires attack with rocks defence, to a lesser extent at least. They can make solid walls but can also freeze their enemy to the bone, they usually freeze foes then let out a barrage of physical attacks.

[spoiler=Lightning]

Lightning like ice fuses together two elements: wind and fire. Their goal is to strike hard and fast, battles that drag out to long take a serious toll on lightning users thus powerful attacks are a necessity.

Dark is a very strange element indeed. While some consider it a mixture of water and fire others consider it something unlike the others, for dark users toy with their competition and then strike hard blows if the going gets tough, they can last and strike hard but if you hit them and their unprepared, it could cost them the battle.

[spoiler=light]

Like it's counterpart dark, light has many theories, most dominant being a cross between wind and earth. Thick defence assisted by quick light attacks are a force to be reckoned with, but they can easily be outmatched in a battle of strengths.

[b]Creature/Beast[/b]

Creature/beast fighters may summon or turn into creatures or beasts. They usually excel at speed and power, and sometimes even defence, but rarely use any range attacks. They may have well developed senses and foresight but lack when it comes to anything that isn't natural (Ex. If i could turn into a bear I would be a beast/creature.)

[b]Mechanical[/b]

Mechanical foes rely on inanimate objects (Such as robots.) to do their bidding, while their robots may be a force to be reckoned with, the master mind behind all of them usually lacks power without the help of his/her armada of machines. (Ex. If i had a mecha suit I would be a mechanical brawler.)

[b]Magic/Alchemy[/b]

Magic users rely mainly on long distance beam or projectile like attacks, they are very skillful but not as good at hand to hand combat as they are at range. They have many different classes of magic but most mainly battle from afar and will not use any weapons except for a wand or an other magical item. (Ex. If i was a warlock i would be an alchemist.)

[b]Luck[/b]

Luck users take very risky moves on a daily basis. Usually they won't use them until the odds are tipped in their favour. Luck users can turn outrageously strong or very vulnerably depending on a fip of a coin or the roll of a die. (Ex. If I used a mighty blast 50 % of the time I would depend on luck.)

[b]Mixed[/b]

While not a true class by itself, some fighters may be a mix of 2,3 maybe even 4 classes all in one!
(Ex. I'm a werewolf, so i would be a mix of beast,dark and physical.)

2-Before you are accepted to play the game you must clearly post which team your on and what your power is.

3-You may pm me if you want to change your ability. (I don't have to accept your new ability.)

4-Be reasonable no overpowered effects, like attacks don't effect me or i destroy this arena.

5-Base the ability on your avatar, if you had a fish avatar you would not make it breath flames.

6-Post what team you would like to be on, but to balance it out, i may have to switch you.

7-No trying to change the rules, if you help me with improvements on this game, I [b]MAY[/b] take your ideas into account.

8-There is no switching teams, without my permission. Please pm me if you wish to change teams.

9-No swearing, this sort of game can easily lead to flame wars if the rules are not laid out carefully.

10-No 1-hit KO moves aloud! No exceptions!

11-If you do not post in this thread for 3 months strait we will remove you from the team roster.

12-Majortim and Lexadin are the leaders in this thread. What we say goes. Please no arguing. (Byakuya kuchiki is the temporary co-leader as of now.)

13-Concerning the last rule. Please express your opinion. We will always take [b]REASONABLE[/b] comments and suggestions into account.

14-Concerning the rule concerning the rule before it. Bring all ideas onto pm and do not spam the thread!!!!! Pm me or lexadin.

As of now every once in a while (Usually on holidays) we will have event character battles. If there are big gaps between holidays/special events we will have back-round battles where a random character/characters from 1 members avatar theme will be fought. (Ex. A pokemon avatar could lead to pikachu being summoned and fought.) There are three types of battles. 1: Where the character fights alone. (Normal) 2: Where a certain number of minions must be defeated. (Called waves of monsters. May or may not fight boss.) 3: Where the boss uses some form of giant organism to fight you. (Mecha.) Note: I may come up with other ideas and these will be listed as other.

Ok, Lexadin came up with this idea. Using Battle Points (BP) you can buy upgrades giving you an advantage in combat. You can get BP from winning battles and winning tournaments. Obviously the More powerful upgrades cost more. Also keep in mind that we may also run out of stock so the faster you defeat your opponent the faster you can get that valuable item. You may be lucky enough to win a BP card. This can be used on any item that you have enough BP for even if it isn't in stock. Also you MUST pm Majortim or Lexadin if you want to buy an item. DO NOT POST YOUR REQUEST!!!!!

You walk up to the large Colosseum like building known as the Battle-plex arena. A small shack about the size of an ice cream stand sits on the boardwalk leading towards the arena. A small man pokes his head out of the shack. "Hey kid you interested in some battle items? He shouts in a squeaky voice. You decide to look in the shack...

The rookie shack specializes in cheaper weak items, so if you don't have a lot of BP but you need something fast, this is the place to come.

4 Leaf Clover: Price: 50 BP
A lucky plant that may boost your chances if you use a luck .

Wooden Sword: Price: 50BP
A weak melee item that increases your attack strength by a little in hand-to-hand combat.

Teardrop Charm: Price: 50BP
A weak water charm that has a small chance of boosting water type moves.

Leaf Charm
A weak earth charm that has a small chance of boosting earth type moves.

I just want everybody to know as of now this is a closed beta, and only the members who are currently on the member list may take part. (to work out bugs and such.)

this isn't a suggestion thread, It's to report errors, if you wanted to give suggestions you should have done it in the old thread. and with the new server there is no character limit so we don't have to worry about running out of space.

you call that snapping??? really you pm me too much, I politely turn down and explain why I turn downed your ideas when we were on pm, and this is the remake, I'm just testing for bugs, like broken inks and whatnot. Don't get on how i'm wrong when your problem is how you think you have lots of power and know it all.

Thank you I'm sorry for losing my temper but life clashing with YCM can be stressful. Once again I'm sorry.

Guys, I have to say, I fight a lot, mostly winning, I have a very bad temper at times, and get snappy when angry. But I consider you all friends (To an extent.) and good guys, ya sure we get in fights, but that what's the avatar arena is for. As I always say "It's not if you win or lose. Its how hard you pound your opponents face into the ground." So after all this fighting (In many ways) we are truly just arena buddies. And fighting, Is what bros. are for. So When I snap, I encourage you to argue with me. But I expect it of both of us...to put it behind us and go back to being YCM pals afterwards. :)
