The Warden
This is a character creation thread for my new Starcraft fic, On the Wings of Valour. I'll make it simple, the characters are part of a small armed group sent to some random planet to locate the cause of mysterious disappearances. I won't give too much away, but it's effectively the Zerg. A group of 8 seasoned ground-combat infantry and support are being sent on this mission; yeah, brilliant idea Dominion, BRILLIANT IDEA! This happens in tandem with Wings of Liberty with some canon-alterations.
Character Form Name: (Full name, middle name optional) Age: (20+) Gender: Appearance: (I will allow a picture as long as it can accurately display your character’s class. I will want an armoured pic and an unarmoured pic. Otherwise, I want 5 lines of description minimum. For both armoured and unarmoured.) Class: (Marine, Firebat, Marauder, Medic, 1 Ghost) Rank: (Nothing ridiculously high, use US army rankings) Personality: (Minimum of 5 lines) Biography: (2 paragraphs) Weapon: (Choose one related to the class, if all else fails, use the one given in the games) Special Skills: (Such as mechanical expertise, sharpshooter, operating certain vehicles or buildings) Expertise: (What the character is really good at)

Name: Markus (Mark) Kessadin Age: 29 Gender: Male Appearance: His height is about 5”8 tall. His main body build is not overly bulky, about 89kg in weight, enough to move in the suit. His legs are relatively long and strong, where most of his muscle is located. His upper body is not too muscular. When out of armour he wears a greying healer’s tunic, which is made of a soft but strong fabric. It has two columns of buttons on the left side of his torso, which are always buttoned-up with the collar around his neck raised to cover it. He wears a leather belt at his waist which holsters his needle gun, a modified gun containing many minute and poisoned covered needles. The tunic ends at his ankles, where he wears metal toed leather boots. Underneath his tunic he is wearing pants of the same greying colour and no shirt. He is missing a small piece of his nose from stray gunfire, making it look like a bite was taken out of it. He has a gashed scar on his right cheek. His hair is kept short, the natural colour being black. His eyes are generally focused, always seeming to be staring off at some long-ahead goal. They are blue in colour. Thankfully he hasn’t lost a tooth, yet. His armour is the same for all medics. He wears the thick white armour of medics, however, many of the red crosses are painted out and replaced with skulls, done so by a fellow crew-mate. The breechcloth he wears has many bullet holes in it; but his overall armour still appears to be in very good condition. Across both arms he carries the large shields in order to protect himself when rushing to assist an ally. The sites of his healing beams are in fact on the underside of his wrists, allowing his to create a pseudo defensive bunker whilst healing allied units. His visor is normally down and equipped with infra-red sensors to detect life signs and heat signature of comrades. Class: Medic Rank: Sergeant Personality: As the combat medic of his group, he is quick to care for people and offer kind words. He cannot forgive himself if he doesn’t do all that he can to save a person from fatal-injury. He is not without fire, openly assaulting anyone who would think to harm his patients; a psychotic trait that is taken advantage off in combat. His emotions constantly flicker when near other people due to his empathetic abilities. Whilst being able to read and feel the emotions of others, he is sometimes able to bring a little of his own into another persons. He has cases where he can act very paetulant and childish, but they pass easily. He enjoys finding new discoveries and believes in that people are always innocent until proven guilty. This will change once he meets the Zerg, perhaps. Biography: Raised well enough on the Confederate capital world of Tarsonis, he got on well in his schooling life. Always seeking to help others in need, he found great interest in biology. It was when he was 14 that he began to feel the emotions of others, his empathy and will to help others became greater when he felt people suffering. This psychic ability was detected by the Ghost Recruiters, however, because it seemed his only psychic ability was his empathy, he was left where he was. He continued his schooling, utilising his empathetic powers more in very subtle ways to break up fights. He tried to pursue a normal relationship with the girls in his high-school, but their affections was too much for his mind. After graduating school, he perused a life in doctoring and healing. Despite being a man in a room of about three hundred females he passed medic training with flying colours. He was deposited into a group of infantry to begin training exercises with them and then into combat. During fights he would literally take the guns off dead bodies and would madly shoot other people from the rush of adrenaline and the mixed emotions in the room. He was given the needle gun but a superior officer so they could save on weapons by taking them from dead corpses with magazines in tact. To this day he still serves with his group, still keeping them alive and well, for now. His interest in the zerg may end up being is downfall one day. Weapon: Poison coated needle gun. It contains one hundred needles per clip and can fire at a rate of three needles per second. Special Skills: Expert healer and surgeon. Empath. Expertise: Healing and staying alive. Can drive a Vulture.
