BANZAI!!!!
The OOC topic is here http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/215996-yu-gi-oh-lifestream-oocapplication-thread-pg-16-not-started-accepting/ Rules: 1. No god modding or power playing 2. The advanced clause MUST be used. No exceptions. 3. I reserve the right to ban you from the rp at any time. 4. Read the plot and world description before applying. I'm sorry they're so long, but bear with me. 5. Have fun. Plot: 19 years ago, a group of scientists discovered a massive river of pure energy flowing through the earth's crust. It was dubbed the "Lifestream" after they discovered it had remarkable healing properties. After being exposed to the golden yellow aura, diseases and other problematic conditions were cured in any life form that came in contact with the energy. Not only did the Lifestream heal, it was also able to power any machine it was applied to. Because of these unique properties, it was decided that the Lifestream would be used as the world's power source. To accomplish this, 16 facilities were constructed worldwide to tap the Lifestream, using the siphoned off energy for power. Unbeknownst to the world at large however, the Lifestream had another purpose. It was created millennia ago to seal away an unstable demonic energy of terrible power. The creators, and secret guardians of the Lifestream, the Sanctum, began to wage a battle to stop the draining of the Lifestream, and to prevent the dark force beneath it from being released. As the fight waged on for months, Sanctum called upon their avatars of the land, air, and sea. The three avatar monsters, The Big Saturn, The Splendid Venus, and The Tyrant Neptune, began attempting to seal the taps on the Lifestream, but were beaten back. After six months the Lifestream was beginning to weaken, and this caused an upset in the natural balance. The weakening caused three great dragons to awake: Critias, the dragon of the mind, Hermos, Dragon of the body, and Timaeus, Dragon of the soul. The dragons began to destroy everything in their path in attempt to destroy the Lifestream, the dark force, and the warring factions in order to bring balance again. Seeing this, the Sanctum knew that their mission was in vain, and they sealed away fragments of lifestream energy with each of the avatars' cards, hoping they would be of use some day. The dragons continued to fight, but the Lifestream was too far gone, and it disintegrated, releasing the dark energy. The world was powerless to stop it, and without energy, systems shut down entirely. Widespread famine and disease ensued, and the dark energy covered the earth, seemingly feeding on the negative emotions from the starving populace and growing larger. Eventually, it took a physical form, and it's birth caused a massive energy wave that annihilated much of the earth's population and burned most of the landscape, turning it into a vast desert. The dragons sacrificed themselves to keep it from consuming the entire planet, and sealed the newborn beast away by sealing themselves in their own cards. As they faded away, the dragons each subtly marked a young Human and a Monster. Each duo was fated to meet one another, and together would one day discover their respective dragon , and use it to fight the coming darkness. As well, the dark beast branded a trio three dragons before its sealing, creating servants that would work toward the destruction of its enemies and is rebirth. They were known as the malefic trinity, and were composed of a corrupted Blue Eyes, Red Eyes, and Stardust dragon. Each dragon's armor comes equipped with a hologram projector and built in duel disk and card database, allowing them to duel. Through it all, about 86% of all life was extinguished within two short years... Fast forward seventeen years. Earth is now mostly a vast, barren desert, with sporadic fields of farmable, green land, various mountain ranges, and many decaying ruins. It is a struggle to survive in this dark new world. Many human survivors have been transformed by a mysterious mutagen recently. The mutation gives the afflicted person enhanced physical abilities and stature, as well as giving them the ability to harness the negative energy left over from the cataclysm in duels; using it to conduct shadow duels and steal souls in order to gain power and as a form of sustenance. These mutants have been dubbed "newborn" by those unaffected due to the memory loss associated with the transformation. Scorning regular humans, newborn refuse to consider themselves the same species. Banding together, they have formed the first new nation: lokista. The nation is founded on newborn superiority, and it is a theocracy. Lokistans worship three dark entities, of whom little information is known to outsiders. Also created due to to the negative energy, the three dark entities manifest themselves as duel monsters cards known as the wicked gods. The gods feed on souls collected by the newborn, and when they devour enough, they will be able to create a permanent, physical form. The wicked gods rule lokista, sharing some power with high ranking clergymen. The gods select a "bearer" for themselves to communicate through (due to the fact that they cannot come into the physical world for long periods), and reside in their respective bearer's deck until his or her death. The Malefic trinity continue to operate individually, devouring any lifestream energy they come in contact with, and working toward breaking their master's seal. The avatars, Splendid Venus, Tyrant Neptune, and Big Saturn, have been discovered, and have worked with new human partners to recreate the Sanctum organization, which now actively hunts down all negative energy related threats, including the Malefic trinity and even The Wicked Gods and Lokista. Lokista has begun a series of military conquests, meeting little resistance from scattered human populations. Monsters, however, have begun to put up a fight, and are creating problems for the nation militarily. Elsewhere, the humans marked by the three dragons, known in myth and rumor as the "Dragonmarked" are coming of age, and have met with their monster familiars, and soon fate will bring them to their legendary dragons. Now, Lokista is advancing into the wastelands, and waging a genocidal war on all who live there. Resistance is frequent, but the fighters are being overwhelmed by sheer numbers. A storm is brewing on the horizon. Soon, the demons of the past will re-awaken, threatening to destroy an already shattered world... World: As stated above, the world is a burnt mad-max like desert, with a few habitable farming areas, scattered communities, Lokistan cities, and myriad ruins. It is populated by three main races: Humans, Newborn, and Monsters. Humans live in scattered areas. Some live in small communities, while others are solitary scavengers in the wastelands. Newborn live primarily in the xenophobic, and a little genocidal, nation of Lokista. The Nation is expanding rapidly, incorporating newborn and killing or making slaves of everyone else. Duel monsters vary greatly. Some of the more human like ones live in human settlements. Others live high in the mountain ranges created by the cataclysm, and have formed their own societies. These groups have gained a lot of influence due to the monsters' natural combat abilities. Crossing them normally does not end well, as only the military arm of Lokista has stood up to them and won. More still are used as beasts of burden, either by domestication or by force. Technology from before the cataclysm is in high demand, and many individuals make a living in salvaging lost technology such as duel disks, machine parts, and even rare cards. As for dueling, it still occurs frequently, and many duels are fought over food, water, tech, or territory. This is made all the more deadly by the newborn's ability to steal souls through duels. Real monsters sometimes partake in the duels instead of holograms from duel disks, normally due to low power on the disks and/or the monster getting a piece of the prize. Needless to say, duels can be pretty dangerous. Turbo duels have declined in popularity due to the lack of runners, but they still occur on occasion. The sanctum organization is growing in numbers and strength, with its new leaders commanding the three avatar monsters. Their ultimate goal is to seal away the malefic trinity and the wicked gods within a new lifestream, and the organization will do almost anything to accomplish this. As for the three dragonmarked and their monster familiars, they are completely unaware of their destinies, and there is no indication that they are the fabled dragonmarked at all. However, there will be no doubt once they come into possession of their legendary dragons. The dragons themselves want to destroy the malefic trinity, the wicked gods, and the sealed demon beneath the earth, eliminating the need for a new lifestream. This will put them at odds with sanctum. The Malefic trinity work toward their one goal of breaking their creator's seal. They seek to accomplish this by preying on anything they come across in order to create enough negative energy to break the seal. They also destroy any fragments of the lifestream they can find. The wicked gods, despite being aberrations created by negative energy, are considered deities by newborn, and each one's Bearer holds a high position in lokista, and holds the card of his or her god. Their main objective is Lokistan domination of the entire planet; making them antagonistic to any and all other forces. Looks like the cans and the card are gonna be all mine in a turn or two." Said a confident, dark eyed man with a scar on his left cheek, who currently had the upper hand in the duel against his opponent. "You've got nothin' left there. Without that defense monster I just destroyed, you're wide open for my Super-Ancient Dinobeast to attack you next turn. Face it, you lose kid." The man smiled, waiting for his remarks to sink in and cause his opponent to surrender. His opponent, a young man of about 17 with brown hair, returned his smug look and took a card from his deck. He sighed "Its never good to underestimate an opponent. You can tell your dinosaur I said thank you for allowing me to win, by the way." the youth said. "You just destroyed my White Stone of Legend, which let me add my Blue Eyes White Dragon to my hand." he said, brandishing his card. "I draw!" he said, picking up his card. The smirk on his face grew into an outright smile. "I summon Kaibaman. I'm sure you've heard of this card before, its one of my favorites. Here's why: I tribute Kaibaman to special summon Blue Eyes White Dragon from my hand." He played the dragon, and at that moment, a scarred, golden eyed Blue eyes crashed through the wall of the gutted building they were dueling in, and took the field slot in place of a hologram. It roared loudly and snapped its jaws. "Took you long enough, Alex. I thought you would've won by now." Said the dragon angrily to the boy. "Chill out Fenris. I've got it under control. Nice entrance by the way." Said Alex to his draconic ally. Their opponent stepped back, aghast by the massive, real Blue Eyes in front of him. "Fenris, Kill his Dino for me will you?" Alex asked of the dragon. "With pleasure." Was fenris' reply. He lifted off the ground, and rushed the dinosaur. Fenris bit the beasts neck, and a second later the massive dragon fired a burst stream though the beast's neck, vaporizing it as the hologram disintegrated. "Why-Why you yellow-eyed freak of nature! How dare you ruin my strategy!" yelled the man as his LP went to 0. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" Yelled Fenris as he charged him, smashing the man through the wall with the side of his head. He was about to kill him with a burst stream when he heard Alex's voice "Hold it Fenris! He's out. There's no need, we've go what we came for." This caused the dragon to stop. "Fine, but if i ever see his face again he's a dead man, alright?" "Yeah sure." said Alex as he held up their prize: A Blue Eyes White Dragon card. "Now we have three, time to upgrade the deck." "Hell Yeah. Now I get to pull some three headed stunts." said Fenris, grinning a predatory grin. "We have those canned soups too right?" he asked. "Yeah. lets look around whats left of this city for any other useful stuff." Said Alex, loading the cans into a small truck trailer that was modified with straps the size of Fenris's shoulders. "Whatever." said the dragon as he strapped on the container to his back. The two headed out into what was left of the street. A faded sign above them read "Wel m To New Do i o Cit " Alex translated the faded writing "New Domino City. So that's the place's name. Never heard of it." he said. evilfusion
A draconic shape flitted across the sky, flying high above the rest of the near-desert world. The visible scales of the being were white mingled with blue, but those colors were shadowed by the sleek black armor covering a great portion of the dragon. Its wings were entirely covered, as was its torso. Bladed knee joints jutted from the knees of the being, and upon its head was an extension of the armor, resembling a helmet in some regarded. If one were to pay close attention, they could see the body of what could almost be labeled as a Stardust Dragon, but the clarity of its specie had long since faded with the addition of the armor. The cold eyes of the dragon scanned the ground below with a subtle bloodlust. "Wonderful world this has become," the dragon hissed to itself, its voice soft and distinctly malicious, its feminine tone matching the sleekness of its body, although the gender distinction would be all but invisible to one unacquainted with dragons in general. "The human scum of this world has fallen...and now only a number remain," she continued, smirking sadistically. The roar of a dragon echoed in the distance, and the Sin Stardust Dragon frowned to herself. "The call of a Blue-Eyes...if that arrogant cretin has found human victims before me, I will never forgive him!" she snarled and picked up her flying pace. "The ruined city...whatever humans there cannot hide..." she mused, allowing herself yet another sadistic smile. She always did like to pick a victim or two off before too late in the day. Takashi125
The city of Eumeria: One of very few human cities in the world and the most powerfull. While most cities easily fall prey to the Lokistan, under the protection of the Sanctum organization, lead by the three bearers of the Holy Avatars, Eumeria stands as a true testament of human resistance. However near constant attack from the Lokistan has taken its toll on the Sanctum and its citizens... and to make matters worse, their are reports of Lokistan spies within the city. A cry for help pierces the air as young woman is chased through the streets by a man who apparantly is not acting like a normal person. "PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!" Cried the girl. Suddenly she loses balance and trips. She falls face flat onto the cobblestone street. Seeing as this was his chance, the crazed man lunges himself at the girl. In what looked to be her final moments, a man jumps down from above inbetween the girl and crazed man. He draws a blade from within his robes and rams the end of the hilt into the man, knocking him back off his feet, landing flat on his back. "Are you alright miss?" The young man asks the girl. She looks up at her savior and knew imediatly who he was. "The.... The White Paladin!" "You best get out of here now." He ordered. The girl without so much of a response frantically gets to her feet and runs off down the street. The crazed man gets to his feet and confronts Lance. "Souls... must... have... souls!!!" He said with a deep raspy voice. He lifted up his right arm and activates a Lokistan model duel disk strapped to it. It was black with a fiendish design. the blade was in the shape of a fanged bat wing. "Lokistan filth..." Lance sneered. He shealths his blade, brandishes his duel disk strapped to his right arm from under his robe and activates it. "I shall preform the duel of last rites." TotalObelisk
The roar of an engine filled the otherwise silent air as a trail of dust snaked its way over the barren landscape. Kauki glared ahead of him, his head bowed low over a very battered looking duel runner. An old and similarly worn duel disk hung from the side of the vehicle, secured with a number of ropes that looked to be threatening to let the device go any second. Kauki didn't really care if he lost it, it was useless to anybody besides him anyway. Without warning, his runner suddenly began to slow down and finally stopped, forcing Kauki to put his leg down on the hardened earth to keep from overbalancing. The tanned boy showed no signs of surprise, instead looking down at the air vent on the side of runner in an almost accusing manner. "What's up?" He asked, in a tone that did not entirely suggest concern "Don't tell me your tired again already." "What do you expect," a deep, gruff voice answered, sounded almost equally as apathetic as Kauki "You've been driving for nearly 3 days straight. Not counting when you stopped to sleep." A flame blossomed from the vent and curled upwards, twisting into the form of a serpentine dragon. "Do you at least have any idea where you're going?" The dragon asked. "Of course I do, Trigon," Kauki replied placidly, not looking up at the dragon "I'm going to find..." "..'A way to restore the light of the world'" Trigon finished. Kauki stared at him, annoyance flashed in his face. "For your information, I was thinking more along the lines of where you're going right now," The dragon said, irritably. Kauki didn't answer and instead looked over at the horizon. "I've heard the ruins of a great city are over there," he said "If it's true, then there'll no doubt be supplies there." "Along with other people also looking for said supplies," Kauki paused. "No matter," he said "I'll just defeat them all." "Heh...Of course you will," Trigon muttered in slight amusement. Chuckling softly, the dragon returned to his place within the runner's engine, taking up place of the momentum that powered it. Within seconds the machine roared into life again and Kauki sped off it the direction of the city, determined to find something, anything that might break his meaningless cycle of battle for survival. Merci
A figure flew over the sky, watching the pathetic humans before him. It was only a matter of weeks or days now until he was supreme. The most powerful in all time and existence, his goal. He was Araisk, and once during a certain time, he was the strongest, but that was long ago. He was sick, he was tired, he wanted to retake his opportunity, his goal, his right. He was the strongest in the Malefic Trinity, and soon he would be the strongest in existence. And then he sensed it. "Is that a brother I sense?" He asked himself. He noticed the presense of the only female in their Trinity approaching the source. The source was indeed a brother. And then he roared again, and charged. He didn't care about the female Malefic one, whatever her name was. Males were born to dominate females, and he was born to dominate them all. Anon drew his card. "Alright, here's my next card!" He declared. The man before him just smirked. "Drawing your card, doesn't matter which. I've already made your traps useless, and all your spells are in the graveyard." He replied. He seemed pretty overconfident. Anon just chuckled, even though he had absolutely no card on the field. Nothing. "Good point then. If what I draw doesn't matter, then I end my turn." And then the man just blinked. "Nothing?" "Yep." "Fine, I'll draw, and now Jinzo - Lord, attack him directly! Not even your mysterious black coat can prevent this attack!" The Psychic monster attacked Anon but he endured the blast (Anon LP 400). "And due to my trap card, as soon as I end my turn, you'll suffer 1000 more points! Now if only you didn't remove your own card from play! So much for that super-attack that decreased my life points to 100!" "Too bad there won't be a time like me losing, I activate the effect of The Freeshooter! And do you know why he's the Freeshooter?" Anon taunted as the man appeared in the sky. The man was wearing an eye-patch, had a scar, his only eye was yellow, and he wore a black coat. He also held weird gun-things. And he was real. "Because he can shoot freely. Now attack his weird machine man!" The man just stood there. "But that's against-" But he had no time to finish his sentence. The Freeshooter instantly rapidly shot blue lasers at Jinzo Lord, which in turn was sent flying into the man, which knocked him down. "...the rules, I know. I get that a lot." And then Anon did a polite bow before signalling for the Freeshooter to disappear and then continued on, to the ruins of a city. It was big. But then a feeling went over him, but that didn't stop him. He continued on, to the city called 'New Doiocit'. Weird name, but then again, everything had a weird name. evilfusion
The ruined city was just up ahead, and as the Sin Stardust Dragon flew nearer, her eyes scanned the ground. She had heard the call of the Blue-Eyes coming from this area. A sense of excitement flowed through her as she swooped down upon the city, landing upon the remains of a building. She remembered this city well, or at least these ruins. She came here regularly, for some humans were drawn to it, like ants to poison. How fitting, for the ones she encountered rarely lasted longer than those ants. The city was a ruined sanctuary, once a flowing metropolis of human society, now more reflective of the fate of humans. Ruins, destruction, emptiness...humans were vermin to be wiped out. Only weak, scavenging creatures still lived here, and those venturing into the ruins were to share the fate of the other vermin. Malefis snickered, her tail lashing in amusement. Within her maw, she conjured a sphere of wind-based energy and spat it in a random direction, watching with satisfaction as it struck one of the standing buildings and blasted a large hole into the rock. The human world had decayed and now they fought for mere survival, the fate those wretched creatures had forced upon the true masters of the world. This world belonged to her now. She was the dominant entity. Well...except for her fellow Malefics. Especially that arrogant Malefic Blue-Eyes, whatever the hell his name was. The idiot thought he was so good, so awesome, so powerful...unfortunately, Malefis had trouble proving him wrong. He was stronger than her in brute strength. He was such a chauvinist too, unaware that dragonesses were dominant in most clans. It made her seethe, to be aware that she should be higher socially than him, but his power over her and attitude allowed her no respect. For that reason, he was a rival. But that would change. She'd find the victims here and eliminate them. She'd one-up him from the start.
BANZAI!!!!
" What The hell is that?" Alex asked, looking up at the mysterious, armored dragon that had just landed on a building not too far away. The pair had just finished making the rounds in an old market, and had taken what little unspoiled goods they could find, including a few old cards. "I can't exactly tell, Alex. Looks like a Stardust dragon, I think. That armor isn't natural though, so I can't be sure. Either way, another dragon here is bad. If we're in dragon clan territory, that means there's more on the way, assuming they're out hunting here." Said Fenris. "Maybe it isn't hostile." said Alex, just as the wind energy hit a nearby building. Fenris quickly moved himself and Alex away from the debris. "There's your answer, Al. I don't think she's friendly." "She? How do you know its a female, Fenris?" "I can tell, trust me. Anyway, she's obviously trying to prey on something." "Well, lets lay low then. She'll leave eventually." "Hell no. I'm not staying here until she blasts the next building down on top of us. I'll go up and scare her off. Stardust dragons can't fight one on one with my kind. Especially not one of my size. Come out and watch, its gonna be entertaining." "Didn't you just say she'd bring friends along?" "Yeah, but we'll be gone by then. I don't want her chasing us." With that, Fenris took off, and left Alex, who was shaking his head at his friend's overconfidence, on the ground. Fenris reached an altitude level with that of the roof Malefis was sitting on, and roared threateningly, charging his burst stream at the same time. --- Kalin Malahand on a plateau that overlooked Eumeria, eating a pile of baked beans off of a paper plate and staring down at the city. he turned to a subbordinate, "How many men have we sent in today?" "14 sir, and 10 have been confirmed K.I.A. so far. we need to send in more, I think." replied the soldier. "No. I don't think numbers are the issue. Its the lack of talent. These soul-hungry savage idiots are putting them on guard. Fetch me my contact lenses. I'm going in myself when I'm done eating." he said, putting on a pair of tinted lenses that were brought to him. His eyes now appeared to be pale blue, hiding their regular coloration and all indication of Kalin being a newborn. He slipped a bookmark into the copy of The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy that he'd been reading, and began to walk down the plateau toward the gate of the city, looking the part a weary human traveler. evilfusion
Malefis' smirk widened when she spotted a dragon rising into the air. It was armor-less, confirming it to be a natural Blue-Eyes. Interesting...so they are still around, Malefis mused to herself. She eyed the dragon, not even flinching at its threatening roar. Such a hostile creature, and so strange to see within the walls of a city. Malefis snickered, taking note of the dragon's readiness to attack her. It was in his eyes...a fierceness she could easily relate to, a sense of pride. The feral appearance was accentuated by the irregular yellow coloration of the Blue-Eyes' eyes. Malefis smirked at the oxymoron. A Blue-Eyes White Dragon with yellow eyes. How amusing. She quickly observed that the opposing dragon was a male, and the immediate parallel with her Malefic associate irritated her. So, did this dragon think, because a Blue-Eyes was reknowned for power, that he could assault a female dragon of a different specie for the hell of it? Even SHE didn't attack for no reason, least of all other dragons. She hissed and flapped her wings, the force of the flap kicking up a small gale of wind down upon the city itself, and she glared at the Blue-Eyes. "Seeking prey in the area? Look elsewhere," she sneered. "Humans are still plentiful enough that you need not resort to attacking superior dragons."
TotalObelisk
After another hour of riding, the pair pulled up outside the entrance of a ruined shop mid-way into the city and looked about. Kauki had grown up in the ruins of an old settlement and was used to the sight of decaying buildings, but the sheer scale of this place was awe-inspiring even to him; despite it's outward appearance, the place still had the air of a thriving metropolis, albeit devoid of life and slowly crumbling. From when there where, Kauki could see the remains of a series of great towards that loomed over them, cutting across the grey sky like a set of old rusted knives. "I doubt you'll find much here," Trigon said from within Kauki's duel runner "People have been coming here for years, even a place of this size won't have supplies forever." "Then we'll simply take them from whoever else has them," Kauki replied coldly. A sudden crash interrupted his thoughts and he looked about, unable to see anything from his position. "What was that?" He asked, glancing about. A second, much louder crash sounded from pretty much the same direction. "Sounded like a building falling down," Trigon mused "This place has been standing for years, there's no doubt these buildings can't hold their own weight anymore." "Since when were you such an expert?" Kauki muttered, but Trigon ignored him. Kauki started up his runner again, moving along the cracked road in search of anywhere he might find... A fierce roar suddenly tore through the air and Kauki braked suddenly, almost flying off the front of his runner. "Kauki, what..." "That was a dragon," Kauki said, a look of worry suddenly present in his eyes. "What?" Without another word Kauki swerved round, steering his duel runner up an old and worn ramp onto an elevated section of he roar and there he caught sight of them in the distance, his eyes widening even further. "Dragons," he mouthed. "Oh don't tell me we've wound up in a nest," Trigon groaned as though this was an everyday occurrence. Suddenly, Kauki's expression shifted back into a serious glare as he examined the two monsters in the distance. "No," he muttered "It's just our bad luck that they're here. Look, they're both different types, and it doesn't look like they're particularly friendly towards one another either." Trigon remained silent, contemplating what Kauki had said. "They won't have noticed us at this distance," he said "If we turn back now we can get out of here before they see us." "No," "Excuse me?" "That dragon," Kauki muttered, more to himself "It's wearing black armour." Kauki revved up the engine once more. "Wait, you're not thinking of..." "I need a closer look," Kauki replied, racing forwards towards the two dragons. The_Duck
Blanche rose from the desert area the earth had become. He beat his mighty wings and took off into the air peering at the world below him. The worls is as barren as it was so many years ago. He peered into the distance as he flew far. He came across an old city that was in ruins. I think this was once Tunfa City He continued to recall his past. This place where his journey began so many years ago. He landed on a tall bulilding. The place seemed much less lively than before. A few surviors were below, but there wasn't a single thought if revenge going through his mind at the time. Blanche left the building roof and continued on his flight. He saw his companion Malefis engage a natural born blue eyes. He sat quietly and stared, completely unnoticed to the two dragons. BANZAI!!!!
Fenris snarled. He did'nt like being talked down to by anyone, much less an impudent female who thought herself superior. On the ground, Alex could tell by Fenris's stance and actions that he was getting angry, and things almost NEVER turned out non-violent when Fenris was angry. However, due to his lack of altitude, Alex was unable to calm his partner down, and decided to climb up a flight of stairs in a nearby building to try to talk Fenris down, or at least get a better vantage point. In spite of himself, it was rather enjoyable to watch Fenris fight off other monsters. In the air, Fenris dissipated the burst stream that was forming in his mouth, and growled a bit. Then, without warning, he flew extremely close to Malefis, and landed on the roof with her. He got extreemely close to her. So close in fact that she would be able to feel his breath on her face, were it not for the fact that she was wearing a helmet. "Superior? My ass." he snarled showing his teeth. " You'd better learn your place before talking down to me, girl. Now get out of town before I have second thoughts about letting you go." he said, attempting to scare her out of town, as he had planned. Something in him wanted her to stay though, so that he might get the opportunity to tear her limb from limb. Either way, he would get what he wanted from the situation... As Alex ran up an old staircase, he readied his deck. The hologram projectors had proven useful outside of duels in the past, and he was never one to be caught unprepared if he had the chance. "I hope he doesn't get too out of control this time" he thought to himself. "There might be more goods here, and knowing him the collateral damage will be huge. There goes our food and money." Alex winced at the thought, increasing his pace once the disk was safely on his arm.
evilfusion
"My place?" Malefis repeated with a hint of mocking incredulity in her tone. She took a half step back when the Blue-Eyes moved closer, but she was not entirely intimidated, nor was she particularly fazed by the proximity or his aggression. It was a typical fact of dragon lifestyles that males flaunted their power, forcefulness, and aggression when aiming to impress the dragonesses. It was a usual practice, particularly during courting, and a dragoness backing off immediately was a sign of weakness. And she was not weak. "You have no idea who you're dealing with...do you?" she taunted softly, this time moving aggressively closer to the Blue-Eyes, displaying she was not to be intimidated by him, holding eye contact the best she could, even with one eye hidden by her faceplate armor. "I am Malefis and this realm is mine. So perhaps you're the one who needs to learn his place," she hissed. Almost as an afterthought, she added, "I love your eyes, wonderful color. It makes no real difference, a commoner's a commoner, but it's fascinating." She ended the pseudo-compliment with a cackle.
Takashi125
The duel came to its conclusion as Lance summoned his ace monster. "Descend! Archlord Kristya!" and in a brilliant flash of light a white armored male angel with red wings appears onto the field. Lance thrusts his hand outward. "Go now my divine being! Strike him down!" Upon his command, Kristya forms a ball of pure white energy and thrusts it at the Lokistan. "I activate the trap card all of the haunted!" Declared the Lokistan. "How futile! So long as Kritya is present on the field, Special summoning is prohibited!" Lance stated, The trap did nothing as the ball of white energy impacted the Lokistan in a big explosion. "GWAA!!!" When dust settled, the Lokistan appeared on all four; coughing and heaving in pain. Lance deactivates his duel disk and walks toward him. "Souls... need more... Souls....!" The Lokistan begged. Lance drew his blade and held it at the Lokistan's neck. "May this blade releave you of your misery." With that, he raised his blade up and borught it down onto the Lokistan, slicing his head clean off with one swift stroke. The headless body collapsed to the ground. Lance swipes the air with his blade to get the blood off before shealthing it. Just then, a small platoon of Sanctum guards appeared on the scene. "Lord Bastion!" the captain called. Lance turns to face them as they line up before him. "Ah there you are." He said. They all in unison kneel before him. "Yes my lord, I appologise for us not being quick enough." Lance shook his head. "I was too quick for you and your men. I should be sorry. Well it matters not, for I have dispatched the Lokistan spy." "As expected from our Lord. Allow us to take care of what's left of him." Lance nods. "Please do... I shall return to base and report to the other lords." He starts off down the road and heads back to the Sanctum. "Yes my lord." The captain saluted as he passed by. The_Duck
Blanche was sitting quietly on the building as Malefis engaged the Blue eyes. This will most likely end bad for all of us Blanche moved up and thought upp intervining, but that would just hurt Malefis' pride. He did notice a human climbing the staircase and prepping a duel disk. Now this I will not allow Blanche was for a fair fight, but allowing a human to intervine would not be acceptable. blanche got off the building he was on and landed on the roof of the building the human was. I don't care if this hurts Malefis' pride, allowing a human to help out that dragon is not on the schedule His eyes turned the bright red, and Blanche readied himself for a fight. Merci
And then Araisk descended from the skies themselves, not even paying a mind to bad manners when it comes to intervening. "So says the female!" He declared. And then he turned, to see a brother, with unique yellow eyes, and another, that one the weakest in their Trinity. "I don't even remember your name, female, but maybe you should just step aside. Your stupid flashing abilities would do nothing to help you in the face of power. I'm sure that you won't agree, whether I know or not. But so then, I'll let you face this abnormal yellow-eyed relative of mine, and I'll just watch." He then turned to Blanche, yes, he did remember that one's name. "Blanche, don't you intervene in this fight, don't yet, or I shall destroy you, Trinity or not. Let the dragons quarrel, before setting yourself loose upon them."
BANZAI!!!!
Fenris was nearly thrown into a frenzy at Malefis's taunting. However, something stopped him from attacking her then and there. He couldn't figure out what kept him from going for her neck. Maybe it was his conscience, telling him not to intrude on her territory for his own amusement. He doubted it; he'd killed on a whim before. Maybe it was the way she talked about his eyes. They were a touchy subject, and had created a lot of misery in his life before, but the positive way she had described them was... refreshing, in an odd way. Whatever it was, he put it in the back of his mind for the moment. Fenris was still seething at her refusal to back down. He stepped forward, and the top his head made contact with the equivilant part of her helmet " Your name's Malefis? Quite an unusual name you have there." he showed his teeth again, making a feral, predatory smile. "If this is your territory, then you should do a better job of defending it. I've been here for hours." he laughed a little. " And as for who I'm dealing with, I don't care. Whoever you are, and wherever you come from doesn't matter. My name is Fenris, and I simply find it enjoyable to rip overconfident, idiotic weaklings like you limb from limb. This is your last chance to leave here so that I can go about my business undisturbed. Or else you're going to see what I'm talking about." He said, putting an insulting, almost mocking tone in his words. Alex stood on the roof, watching, when suddenly he noticed another armored dragon land near him. He called over to his dragon companion, who was now within earshot, "Fenris! She brought a friend! We should go, NOW!" he yelled as he stepped backward, away from the new arrival. Alex remembered his duel disk, and activated it as a precaution. " I hope there's something useful in here" he thought, trying to remember what in his deck might be able to help him. Fenris turned his eyes to Alex, and saw the red-eyes advancing. "Friend of yours?" he asked, putting pressure on her helmet with his head. --- Kalin entered the city with little trouble, verbally giving a false I.D. to the gate guards. "Now... where do I start?" he thought, checking to make sure the contact lenses were in place. He pulled his deck off of his belt and began to sift through it, looking to make sure he didn't have the avatar in it. Blowing his cover here would be extremely detrimental to Lokista, and might warrant an all out assault on the town, something which he wanted to avoid for fear of more newborn, and human casualties. Unlike most newborn, Kalin didn't harbor hatred for humanity. He only wished to see Lokista rise to power, and hoped to eventually fond a way for at least some humans to have a place in it. Takashi125
Lance makes a turn down another street, only minutes from the Sanctum when he sees a man heading his way from the south gate. He proceeds to walk until he got close enough to make eye contact with the newcomer then stops to confront him. "You there, I take it you just arrived here? I am Lance Bastion. As one of the three lords of the Sanctum, I wish to personally welcome you to Eumeria. I expect you to abide by the laws of this city and, if you are able, to help keep the peace." He extended his hand out and offered to shake. "We need every abled body... especially in these times."
TotalObelisk
Kauki continued down the road, the scene of the two dragons atop the far buildings becoming ever closer. Either he had become death to Trigon's complaints of the dragon had decided to let the boy be for the moment, either way all Kauki heard was the purr of his engine and the wind tossing his hair about. He swerved his runner to the side as he got closer, launching himself from atop the roadway and hurtled through a broken window frame into an adjacent building. Once inside he brought his bike to a sliding halt and practically launched himself from it, diving over to the far end of the room where a large portion of the wall was missing and ducked behind the remaining wall at the far end. From here he could peak out at the scene unfolding a few rooftops away and could hear snatches of conversation. His eyes narrowed slightly as he listened carefully. "They're arguing about something," he muttered to himself "One of them probably wound up in the others territory." Meanwhile, Trigon had risen out from Kauki's machine and glided over to him, his tail still within the frame and his body snaking his way out. "You're crazy," he said in a low hiss "If those things see you you're dead!" "You're the dragon here," Kauki muttered back "Why don't you try to negotiate or something." "Are you nuts?" Trigon hissed back "Do you honestly think I'm on level with those brutes?" Kauki paused for a second, comparing his small flaming serpent with the massive armoured lizards that perched atop the building not too far away. Kauki's thoughts where interrupted when he noticed another dragon, this one darker and more skeletal than the others, but wearing similar black armour to the other dragon, came into view. "Another one," Kauki muttered in amazement. "I knew it," Trigon hissed "It is a nest." "Two dragons doesn't make a nest," Kauki replied, watching the new dragon "Besides, I think this one's interested in something else." The third dragon landed, but not with the other two, choosing instead to land on a nearby building. "That doesn't look good," Kauki muttered. "There's something else up on that roof," Trigon muttered. "Come on," Kauki dashed back over to his duel runner. "You're not suggesting we head over there as well?" Trigon stared at his partner. Kauki didn't reply and merely glared ahead, kicking his machine into life. Trigon rolled his eyes and sighed as he sunk back into the depths of the machine and it roared into life. Kauki shot forward, pulling the front of the machine upwards as it shot out of the side of the building and began to plummet to the ground. As it fell, Kauki untied his duel disk from the side of the machine, fitting it onto his arm and standing up straight in his seat. "Come on," he said. As it fell, the machine drew slightly closer to the next building and Kauki saw his opportunity as a large section of the wall had crumbled away, revealing a good couple of floors. Without waiting, he launched himself from his feet, Trigon following as a stream of flame that snaked its way inside his duel disk and it roared to life, just as the purring engine from Kauki's duel runner died and it dropped to the ground, landing with a dull thud on the earth below. Kauki on the other hand hit the floor of the building and rolled with the momentum he'd gained. Coming to a halt, he got quickly to his feet and headed for the stairwell, racing up it. After about 7 flights of stairs he finally reached the top and almost burst out of the door onto the roof just next to where the third dragon had landed. He glanced over and saw it looking down at another boy, also brandishing a duel disk. Kauki glared at the dragon, hopefully it hadn't noticed him yet so he still had the element of surprise on his side since the other two dragons seemed occupied with each other. Then Kauki looked around and his face fell back into a look of horror as yet another dragon had appeared, this one similar to the blue one across on the other building, but with the same black armour as the other two. "You've got to be joking," he muttered. "I told you it was a nest!" Trigon barked from within Kauki's duel disk "So many high level dragons in one place isn't natural!" "That armour isn't natural," Kauki replied, regaining his composure "I want to know what it is!"
evilfusion
Malefis scoffed, undeterred by Fenris, as he identified himself as, dismissing her origin and status. She hadn't expected him to be won over by her statement. On the contrary, she had expected him to confirm his violent nature, the nature she could see so clearly in his feral eyes. It excited her, and even his remark about what gave him pleasure did not intimidate her, but only amused her more. The pressure he applied to the gradual headbutt only added to the small thrill she acquired from being so close to what could very well be a violent psychopath. So like her own nature... She was about to retort when she heard a human's voice calling to the larger dragon, but her immediate reaction was cut off by the Blue-Eyes' question. She tilted her head to the side and spotted the Malefic Red-Eyes, her expression souring as she saw it approaching the human. Damn that stupid red-eyed cretin. "An acquaintance and nothing more," she said sourly. She was about to say something else, but her attention was torn away by the approach of the chauvinistic Malefic Blue-Eyes and his arrogant words. She cared not for his taunts and claims to power. She couldn't care less if he remembered her or not. She despised him for his attitude, and in private seethed over his disrespect. However, his appearance, in combination with the Red-Eyes', pushed her temper past the boiling point. She snarled and shoved herself away from the yellow-eyed Blue-Eyes and rose into the air, roaring loudly. "YOU IDIOTS!" she snarled, addressing the two Malefic monsters. "THIS IS MY AREA! You two have no business in MY territory! That human vermin is my prey! You!" she jabbed a claw towards Araisk. "Mind your own damn business! Neither of you are required here!" Merci
Araisk went out of his own position and fairly quickly simply roared at her. "Do I care less?! My area is nothing more than rock now, it's finished! So what do I do then? I'll just take YOUR territory! I AM required here because you were probably going to lose against my relative's power of Pure Light, and I so happened to be here to save your life (Until next week where I destroy you all) but then Blanche so happened to be here as well! It's rare for the entire Trinity to be together, but then we ourselves are quarreling! I'll just destroy you, here and now!" He then paused and looked around. "Have I ever mentioned how much I hate cowards who hide from me?"
BANZAI!!!!
Fenris lifted off from the roof and floated up to the level of the other three dragons. His anger quickly faded away as he assessed the situation clearly for the first time. There were now three dragons here. The first one, the female he'd been about to fight. Then there was an armored red eyes that apparently had its sights set on Alex. Lastly, there was a member of his own species, also clad in the same type of armor. Obviously, he wouldn't be able to win in a fight against the three of them at once, even if he was able to surprise one of then, which was next to impossible given their close proximity to one another. He flew over in the direction of the red eyes, and positioned himself so that he was able to block the three of them from moving closer to Alex. He turned back to the female. "I'd hate to break it to you, but this human here is a good friend of mine, and he'll be no prey of yours as long as I'm here. Understand?" he said forcefully, preparing himself for fight or flight, whichever came first. Alex looked around. Seeing that Fenris was back to his senses for the moment, he moved closer to the dragon, so that he could grab on in case they needed a quick escape. "Dammit Fenris! Next time, try to think a little before you go and get us into a mess like this will ya'?!" he whispered angrily. "Yeah. Later. Get ready to move, Alex. I'm gonna try to make a move for the trailer and get us the hell outa' here before they stop fighting and decide I'm not worth having around." The dragon whispered back in reply. "I thought you said you could take these things on." Alex said, tauntingly. "One at a time, sure. But three at once is impossible. Last time I tried fighting three dragons on one I was almost killed, remember? You saved my life, remember?" "Right. Whenever you're ready." Fenris landed and slowly backed toward Alex, all the while being ready for any attacks. --- Kalin shook the man's hand cheerfully, although inside he dreaded having to help the enemy, he felt it would do some good to learn his way around the city. "Nice to meet you. My name's Kalin. Is there anything I can do to help you out?" he asked, acting as friendly as possible. He memorized the man's features. One of the Sanctum's avatar bearers was a high profile target, and seeing one here within the first ten minutes of his arrival was a good sign. "Mind showing me around a bit? I've never been here before." he said, acting slightly embarrassed to be asking a favor.
evilfusion
Malefis cackled at the Malefic Blue-Eyes. "You? Saved my life? You arrogant little fool, I was in no danger from the likes of him!" The Malefic's sudden shift of attention puzzled her. "No, I don't recall you ever mentioning that," she sneered, spinning to watch the unarmored Blue-Eyes move towards the human, defending it from her Red-Eyes counterpart. She froze at his words. "The human is..." she paused, wearing a stunned expression of distaste, as if someone had spiked her food with something incredibly unpleasant. "A friend?" To all in the vicinity, an impending sense of danger seemed to be gathered as the Sin Stardust's expression slowly shifted from stunned and distasteful, to mocking, and then slowly, to one of pure loathing. "You're one of them! You're one of those dragons who disgrace our specie by siding with humans?!" Malefis' rage exploded with the force of a bomb, all of it channeled towards Fenris. "You fool! Scum like them have no purpose for this world! Everything you do to aid them leads to their rise in glory they don't deserve! Dragons are the superior specie and always have been, yet incompent attitudes like yours has led to our species' decline in power for millennia!" Her rage, no longer able to be expressed solely through snarls and shouting, became violent. Within her maw, she readied a wind blast and launched it at the building where the human was. "DIE, YOU TREACHEROUS VERMIN! DIE ALONG WITH THE SCUM!" Her eye with bulging from her face, her face contorted in pure rage.
Takashi125
Lance retracted his hand from the man. "Unfortunately I have no time. I just finished dispatching a Lokistan spy and I must return to HQ to report this to my fellow lords. However you can ask the ever friendly citizens for a tour around our beloved city. As for a way you can help, you can report any suspicious activity you may come across... I fear there maybe more spies lurking in the shadows.... However it shouldn't be hard to point them out." Lance's voice turned condesending. "Newborns make for pitiful spies. They easily succumb to their craving for souls as did the spy I just dispatched..." He then gave Kalin a serios glare. "However... if a strong Lokistan newborn were to be a spy... such as ones that bear the three Wicked Gods, that may pose a problem..." A moment of silence fell between the two. Lance then breaks the silence with laughter. "But you shouldn't worry about something like that! No matter what those cursed newborns throw at us. So long as the power of the three avatars guid and protect us, we humans shall not falter."
BANZAI!!!!
Alex jumped onto Fenris's back as the wind blast came in, just barely escaping being killed. Fenris flew down to ground level as fast as he coudl, and dropped alex off next to the trailer with their supplies in it. "Hey! shouldn't we be leaving now?!" Alex exclaimed as Fenris prepared to take off again. The dragon turned back to him, a look of rage on his face. "Alex, now its personal. She just insulted me, my beliefs, and you. That detestable waste of life just signed her own death warrant!" He yelled. "NO!" yelled Alex. "I'm not letting you get us into a bigger mess than we already-" Fenris cut him off. "I'm gonna need your help Alex. Those other two might need some distracting, and I might need some support as well. Get some cards ready on your duel disk, and grab on, now!" He said, kneeling down so Alex could grab onto his shoulders. Alex sighed. "I guess I can't stop you this time." he said, seeing that there was no way to avoid a fight now. Alex grabbed on to Fenris's shoulders, and sat himself on the dragon's neck as they took off. The duel Disk's hologram projectors shot out and attached themselves to two far apart buildings, giving the holograms a wide area in which to be deployed. Fenris sped back up toward Malefis, and fired a large burst stream from his mouth up at her from below, then quickly moved to even his altitude with her, as Alex summoned an Element Dragon From his deck to help fend off any attacks. "Make this quick, Fenris!" Alex yelled over the howling wind generated by Fenris's high speed movement and flapping wings. "The holograms won't hold up for long against real monsters!" "Quick and painful. Sounds like fun." Fenris laughed, the predatory look coming back over his face as he readied himself for a counterattack. --- "Yeah, of course." Kalin said, agreeing with the man. "If only he knew the men that I sent in were low level. Most soldiers wouldn't succumb to soul hunger at all. He's pretty naive for someone of such authority." Kalin thought to himself as he continued to walk along the road. He smiled. how easy it was to deceive humans sometimes. They were too trusting of their own kind. He began walking around town, trying to make a mental note of his surroundigs while at the same time not trying to seem too suspicious looking. Takashi125
Lance continues on toward the Sanctum HQ when a shadowy figure appears to his side. He wore black Sanctum armor with his face covered by a white mask and carried two daggers and had a sanctum duel disk attached to his arm. "May I be of assistance my lord?" He asks. Lance stops beside the assassin; making no eye contact. "keep an eye on that man, Sharaku..." Lance ordered. "Yes my lord." With that, he vanishes from sight. Lance resumes toward the front gate of the Sanctum HQ. The guards give him a salute and they open the gates for him. Lance passes through and heads up to the front door where two more guards give him a salute and open for him. He walks through and continues down a long white hallway.
